Welcome to yet another day on the force, detectives. I see you've adjusted yourself to your own departments so I've finally assigned you your own cases. Detective Marn, a disturbing shipment of weapons from china just arrived, likely to support the local triads. I want you to head down there and manage the case before the ATF or the FBI get their grubby hands on it. You won't be alone, as since this has triad connections, Detective Person will be joining you.

Detectives Fox and Eckone of our informants have been splatted at Alta Plaza Park. The victim is a 27-year-old Latino female, Leya Martinez; found bleeding out by someone walking their dog earlier in the morning. She was rushed to CPMC but she was pronounced dead pretty much on arrival. One of you will check the hospital and interview the doctors while the other checks the crime scene. Follow protocol and try to solve this as discreetly as possible.

Detectives Rameriz and Hendriks, we got a possible "leaper" at the Hilton Hotel on merchant street. Witnesses report a middle-aged caucasian man fell out from a 6th-floor window though some say he was pushed. Check out the crime scene, and see if this was a push, jump, or fall situation.

And lastly, Detective Tarkin. You have a solo case pertaining to the death of a 47-year-old Asian man at the Thai Massage Parlor on Main and Bryant. The workers claim he suffered a heart attack, but we never know if that's the true cause of death. Check with the UCSF medical center where he was brought in, they might have found something on the code labs.

Your files are on the desk in front of me. Pick them up and head on your way.

This is Chief Randolf, good luck out there.

Detective Ray Person lit a cigarette with a classic zippo lighter. It was engraved with the Rangers shoulder tab and had served him well in his years with the 75th. He leaned against the hood of his unmarked black 1986 Dodge Diplomat. After grabbing his file he didn't want to stick around, instead opting to meet Marn in the garage. He had already hit up the station's armory and changed into more civilian clothes, opting for a casual look to fit with his underworld persona.

While he openly carried a .44 "Horton Special" revolver, Ray had a Detonics Combat Master Mark 1 tucked in the small of his back. He wore red flannel which was unbuttoned to show a grey t shirt, which topped off his jeans and leather riding boots. He also had an Ithaca 37 Stakeout in the car, in case shit went sideways.

Oz was in the bullpen, his dark eyes looking around him as he thought about taking his coffee break, just as the word came in from Chief Randolf that they had a leaper. He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he went to stand; grabbing his leather jacket and throwing it on. The case file was sitting on his desk, staring at him as he glanced at the clock and noticed that it was not even gone 10 AM. He glanced around the pen, "Hey Hendriks, let's get a move on. Quicker we get this case in the books, the more time we got to do other shit."

It wasn't that he did not care; oh, he cared, but the longer that they left it, the more chance that the unis were going to mess it all up for them. And Bodi Hendriks was a new face around the station; the sort that Oz cared enough to know about but until this point had not interacted with the young man. Oz picked up the keys, patted the kid on the shoulder and flashed the keys. "We'll take my car, yes?"

Elizabeth stood there, playing with a pocket knife, waiting for a Detective Eckone to meet her at this place. They decided on a place to discuss some plans on how to move forward with this case and what the best course of action should be. As of right now, they just needed to decide on who should go to the hosptial and interview doctors and who should go and check out the crime scene. She read the case file, an informant was murdered. Lizzy herself actually met the informant a couple of times, to get tip off for gangs in the area. She honestly thought that she should go an interview the doctors at the hospital. One, murder crimes scenes weren't much of her expertise. And two, intimidation can go a long way in questioning someone. Plus if it was a hospital in her father's home territory, she could get information with ease. But she couldn't move on without her partner, so all she could do right now was wait.
