Downgrade to RpN 2.0 from a couple of days ago.

Right now RolePlays are a clusterfuck. This was not an update, but a downgrade. I suggest to literally do a downgrade and go back to an older version (such as the version from a couple of days ago when EVERYONE could make a RP like an Hosted Project) and remove that bullcrap where you make a post and for characters, OOC chat and other bullshit you need to go in another whole sub-forum.


Let's be honest, the forum has been going down since RpN 2.0, but it was decent. Now it is devastated.

well that is your opinion, it is not going to happen. we have spent many hours on the site and aren't just going to throw it away just because one user told us to.

We aren't going back.


What we are doing is trying to find a good balance between what we want people to be able to do, what users tell us they want to do, and what our servers can handle.  If every single RP used the new system, which we're calling the Hosted Projects now, you all would be complaining about loading times again, assuming the site was still working.  Simply put, that nifty new section uses up a lot of resources, and it just isn't worth it for RPs that don't need the extra space.  That's why we weren't moving 1x1s and that's why we went back to a setup where people can make either type.  We're looking into options for something like the old tabbed threads for the convenience of those RPs that are not Hosted Projects, but in the meantime, users are advised to include links to the other threads in the first post of the RP.
