Doctor Who ((with amybri18))

Ciera walked up to one of the cybercreatures that had wings. "A better question would be what are they planning to do with them?" She leaned in closer to observe the detail put into the wings.

"Yes," he agreed, "that would be the better question." This simple visit was beginning to turn into a mystery. What were the Cybermen plotting? Why did they need these creatures? What was going to happen?

Against her better judgement, she reached a hand out and ran it across the wing. "Or better yet," Ciera began as she turned to look at him, "what are we going to do about it?"

The Doctor blocked out everything as he thought. What was they going to do? Surely they couldn't do this alone... They needed as much help as they could get.

Ciera began walking over and then stopped as her foot bumped something. Stooping down, she pulled on a small handle that had been left carelessly out in the open. She glanced into it before shutting it quickly and the slowly opening it again. "Oh my god." Staring in, she saw legions of the cybermen filling a huge space that seemed to stretch for miles.

The Doctor thoughts were interrupted when Ciera - did something. "W-what did you do?" he asked nervously.

"Um...nothing." Ciera replied as she stared into the huge pit. She stuck her head through the trapdoor and looked around from her upside down vantage point. The pit looked to be many miles in each direction, and the bottom of it where the cyber legions were was many more miles down.

"Seriously. Nothing. I opened a door." Ciera explained from where she was still looking into the abyss.

"Oh," he replied, looking down into the hole. What was in there? Only one way to find out...

"Why are there so many cybermen in there?" Ciera asked as she stared at the legions. They were absolutely still.

"I-I don't know..." the Doctor replied, still looking down. What was the purpose of these robots? Why were they needed? Why were they there?

Ciera gazed down into the abyss for another moment before getting up and looking around. She returned to her spot with a long rope which she tied to a handle that was bolted on the floor. "Lets find out shall we?"

The Doctor turned to look at his companion and smiled. "I like your thinking!" he complemented, moving closer towards her.

Ciera grinned and looked at him for a moment. "Geronimo." She said simply as she hopped into the abyss with both hands clinging to the rope.

The Doctor watched Ciera jump into nothingness. He was surprised that she did it without hesitation, but also glad.

"Coming?' Ciera called out as she looked up. She slid down slowly so as not to get rope burn. She looked back up for a moment with a mischievous grin.

"Of course!" he shouted back, getting hold of the rope. The Doctor slowly made his way down, careful not to fall.

Ciera's feet touched the ground a few moments later. She looked around at the seemingly inoperative cybermen as she waited for the Doctor to join her.

A few minutes later, the Doctor joined Ciera on the ground. "Shall we explore?" he asked.

Ciera grinned at the Doctor and said, "We shall." She looked around at the cybermen and their blank faces before choosing a random direction and walking in it.

The Doctor followed Ciera, because a) he didn't want her to get lost in this massive warehouse and b) he didn't want her to get hurt. As he walked, he looked at the Cybermen, trying to work out why they were so different from the ones at the surface.

Ciera looked back at the Doctor as he followed her. She grinned at him, the pain and danger they had been in moments earlier seemingly forgotten. Or perhaps forgiven. She couldn't help but feel like this is where she belonged. With the Doctor.

The Doctor smiled back at Ciera, before picking up his pace to join her. "So... What was life like before you joined me?" he asked, even though it was the wrong time and place to be doing so?

Ciera smiled back at him as he quicken his pace to walk beside her. "Boring." She answered simply.
