Doctor Who ((with amybri18))

The Doctor sighed and shook his head. Ciera had just hit him with a bunch of questions, which was exactly as he presumed. He got of the bike and took of his helmet, before placing it back on the bike. "Just get in the box," he told her, deciding he would explain everything once they were in.

He looked around to check no one else was there, then opened the door and stepped inside the box. Bigger on the inside is the only way to explain it. Inside, there was a room, with some sort of control panel in the middle. On the walls were hexagon-shaped things, some containing little lights.

Once Ciera had got in, the Doctor smiled and said, "Bigger on the inside."

"Bigger on the inside." Ciera echoed as she stepped inside and gasped at the sheer impossibility of it. "Could you...hold on a second?" She managed as she ran back out side, feeling along the smooth blue edges of the box to ensure that it wasn't some cheap parlor trick.

Walking back inside after she had finished, she said, "Yeah. Definitely bigger on the inside."

((Go to OOC convo, I want to ask you something))

Her reaction was just like the others. Saying, "Bigger on the inside," then running back out. "Yes, it's a great invention really," the Doctor said with a smile, before motioning Ciera to come into the middle.

"Welcome to the TARDIS, otherwise known as Time And Relative Dimensions In Space." He looked over at Ciera. "Pick a place," he ordered in a kind manner, "and a time."

She walked over to the middle and stood, observing the console. "You are joking. You don't mean to tell me... it's not..." She paused before leaning in and whispering, "are you telling me this is a time machine?"

A time machine! A normal day out, in a normal place, just her and nature, and a mad man comes along and shows her a time machine!

"Yes, it is a time machine." He smiled at her, before deciding it was time for an explanation. "You see, I'm a Timelord, otherwise known as a person who travels through time and space," he explained, "I also fight aliens, with this." He held up his screwdriver.

Before Ciera could ask any questions, he quickly explained that it wasn't a screwdriver, it was a sort of weapon. It had many functions, such as lock picking and tracking alien life.

Ciera nodded, deciding not to ask very many more questions. "Timelord, eh? Not egotistical at all." She said as she looked around the ship.

"How about we go to Earth, 300 years from now?" Ciera suggested, her eyes lighting up, before remembering something. "Hold a just a second." She went outside, starting her bike up and revving the engine before driving it into the TARDIS. "Can't leave this behind. I know it sounds a bit odd, but she's my baby." Ciera explained as she dismounted and walked back up to the console. "Now, how about that Earth in 300 years?"

The Doctor didn't think it was weird calling the ike her 'baby', because it wasn't. Then again, this is the Doctor were talking about, a mad man. He decided not to say anything out loud, but instead sate in his head. It's not weird, there are alot of things I call my baby...

"Ok, 300 years from now..." he said, moving over to the control panel. He looked over at Ciera. "Err... what year is this?" he asked.

Ciera laughed and said, "Should have figured a time traveler wouldn't know what year it is," in a teasing tone.

"It's 2015." Ciera said with a smile as she watched him dash around flicking switches, pulling levers and pressing buttons, and then nearly fell to the ground as the TARDIS shuttered and made an odd sound. "is it supposed to sound like that?" She yelled over the roar of what she assumed were the engines.

The Doctor smiled at her comment, finding it funny. Which it is. So, the year was 2015? So, that means they were going to 2315, right? Yes, that should be right. He went out the TARDIS, switching switches and pressing buttons. Soon enough, the TARDIS started making that annoying sound it always made. Anyone on the outside would now be seeing a box slowly fading in and out, with a red light flashing.

"Yes, it always makes that noise when it first starts the journey," he explained, running over to a bar. "I'd hold on if I were you. First trips are always the worst."

Ciera stayed on the floor most of the ride, afraid to get up for fear of merely falling back down again. When the TARDIS finally stopped, she stood uneasily and said, "It isn't the smoothest ride in the world-er worlds- is it?"

She looked around and then said, "So can we go outside?"

"No, but you get used to it after a while," the Doctor said, smiling. Sure, it wasn't the best, but you did get used to it pretty quickly. It only took the Doctor a couple of trips.

When the TARDIS finally stopped, he smiled and nodded. It was time to get out, time to see the world in 300 years. The Doctor slowly walked out, slightly dizzy from the trip.

Ciera grinned and ran over to the door, opening it immediately and peering out. "Doctor, what are those?"

Ciera gazed at the metal men that seemed to be everywhere, taking every living thing hostage and taking them...somewhere.

In his pocket, the screwdriver was beeping. "Cybermen," he stated. It seems like the superstitions were right; robots were going to take over the Earth.

The Doctor slowly stepped back in the TARDIS, dragging Ciera with him. "Look, these things a dangerous. You don't want to mess with them. So, just slowly walk past them and don't make eye contact," he told her.

Ciera followed his lead without question. She stepped out of the TARDIS slowly, making her way between the hoards of cybermen with the Doctor in the lead.

She thought they were actually going to make it safely to the next building when something gripped her shoulder. "You will now be assimilated. Come with me." Her eyes widened and she looked at the Doctor. "What do I do?" She squeaked.

The Doctor started to walk to the next building, but a Cyberman soon found them. "Umm... Just let him take you! I'll follow..." he ordered, slowly walking behind Ciera. "Whatever you do, don't touch anything."

Another Cyberman came up to the Doctor and said exactly what the other one said to Ciera. It grabbed his shoulder and dragged him to the same place as the other Cyberman, and the Doctor let him do this without protest.

Ciera walked as the Doctor did, without protest as they were moved somewhere. As they evidently reached their destination, the one gripping Ciera's shoulder squeezed it. Hard.

A small gasp of pain escaped her throat as she was forced onto her knees and the cyberman said, "Wait here. You will be assimilated shortly."

As he walked along, the Doctor brought out his screwdriver to examine the Cyberman. It seemed like someone, or something was controlling it, controlling all of them. That couldn't be good.

The Doctor let the Cyberman put him down. That way, it didn't hurt as much. He whispered to Ciera, "Just stay here." He didn't like the part about being 'assimilated', because he had a feeling that they didn't mean 'to take in and fully understand', but rather 'absorb and digest'. The Doctor hoped it was the first one.

Ciera listened as the Doctor told her to just stay there. "Where do you think I'm going to go? To a parade?" Ciera whispered sarcastically.

Ciera looked around, staring at the cybermen one by one. "So, I trust you know what you're doing, otherwise we wouldn't be here. If you didn't think you could fight them, neither of us would have gotten out of the TARDIS. Unless you really are mad." Ciera added.

He didn't quite think it was best to say he was 'mad', but it was true. He was mad, but that didn't matter. "I know what we need to do, but to do that we need to find the base, which is why I let us be captured," he explained.

The Doctor looked around to see if any Cybermen were coming. "I'm just hoping that by 'assimilated', they mean questioned, and not, you know..."

Ciera eyes widened and she said, "No, I don't know. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly a time traveler." Ciera said.

The odd thing was, she had only met this guy minutes ago, maybe an hour at most. And yet, she trusted him completely.

The Doctor sighed and explained that assimilated can also mean 'absorb and digest', which obviously means 'eat'. And that you don't need to be a time traveler to know that, you just need to read a dictionary. Which, by the way, the Doctor had never done in his life.

"So, we just need to get into their base somehow, and find the control panel. It is extremely likely that someone is controlling them, so we'll need to get rid of them. We should be able to shut them down if we can get control over them," he explained.

Ciera rolled her eyes and said, "Well excuse me for not jumping straight to the 'we're going to get eaten by a robot man' conclusion. "

Calming down, she looked at him and said, "Okay. Any idea where the control panel might be? I mean I'm guessing that it would probably be heavily guarded considering it's importance, so it would be where the greatest cluster of cybermen are, and where they all would be flocking to, but any idea where that might be?"

"As I said, it will most likely be in their base. This is why we need to let the Cybermen take us wherever they are thinking about taking us," he explained, looking around. The sooner the Cybermen took them away, the better.

No robots were coming. In fact, no robots were looking their way. "Er... should we go now, or wait?" he asked, not sure what to do.

"Well, personally, I think we should go find it ourselves, rather than just wait around to be...consumed." Ciera finished. She looked around and noticed that they didn't seem to be at all attracting attention.

"What do you think we should? You are the expert in this situation." Ciera said as she glanced around the room once again.

"Well, there is a chance we won't be consumed, but I don't really like that idea..." the Doctor told her. "So, yeah. It might be best to go..."

He slowly got up and walked towards a door. He attempted to open it but failed. "Locked," he stated.
