The Quiet Enigma
The hands of a nearby clock show the time to be a quarter till midnight. The cold air is lit up with lights that cover the walls and nearby corners. White. Blue. Red. Green. Repeat. The time is the Christmas holiday. The year is 2014.

The streets are empty, with the exception of the occasional small creature scurrying across the ground, searching for leftovers. The streets lay dormant, the lights in houses turned off. The street seem quiet. Almost too quiet. Suddenly, a screeching noise fills the quiet streets.

A blue, dusty, old London police box sits in the corner of a lightly colored alleyway. The box hidden behind dumpsters filled with brown boxes and plastic. This strange addition to the alleyway that is out of its time. The door of the police box is slowly opened from the inside by a slender hand. Fingers grasping the edge of the door as a blur of red hair follows. The red hair falls to the side to expose the face of a young woman looking around. Her gray eyes glance from side to side. A furrowed brow signalizes confusion on the woman's face.

"Where are you hiding, little monster?"

The soft voice of the woman echoed lightly in the enclosed walls of the alleyway.

A sudden crashing sound fills the holiday air. The woman's eyes dart to the opening in the alleyway. Her feet rush her out to the street before she could blink. As she reached the street, she came across the source of the crash. A blue flashing light came from small crater located across the street in a nearby park.

"Aha! There you are!"

Justin saw a girl and smiled. He watched the crater and wondered where she was from. He was clueless where he was an he sighed. He walked over to her because she seemed smart. "Hello there, do you know what this is by any chance?" He asked her and smiled.

Katrina's attention towards her findings was broken when she heard a strange voice beside her. She jumped in surprise as she turned to look at the young man beside her. A young blonde man stood beside her with a smile upon his face. Curiosity; a human emotion she knew far too well. By his appearance, she did not believe him to be a threat, but more of an interested bystander.

"Hello there, dearie. Might I ask what a young man such as yourself is doing out on a holiday night? Don't you have family to be with?" Katrina spoke with an Old English accent. "And, that is," Katrina said as she points to the flashing blue light, "something I've been searching hundreds of galaxies for."

Katrina reached into the pocket of her black trench coat and pulled out a sonic screwdriver; simultaneously flashing the same blue light as the crater. She held the sonic device up to her face as she studied the the two lights.

"Perfect!" Katrina excitedly stated.

Her feet moved again, towards the flashing lights. A smile plastered on her face. She dared not to look back to the young man, knowing that curiosity would compel the young man to follow anyways. A test that most curious humans always pass.

@wizard justin

Justin saw her talking and smiled. "I have a family but I'm a traveler I traveled to where we are. But although what do you mean galaxies?" He asked her and tilted his head. This was a first to experience alien technology like stuff.

"A traveler. How fitting." Katrina says to herself, a soft chuckle escaped her breath.

Katrina crouches down next to the crater, studying a small silver capsule that was embedded in the soil. A soft humming noise came from the tip of her sonic screwdriver. She stared into the blue crystal tip and tilted her head to the side.

"What is your name, dear sir?" Katrina asks as she knocks on the capsule. The empty air inside vibrates. Katrina's eyebrows furrow in confusion. "Strange..."

Aiming the blue crystal atop of her sonic screwdriver towards to the capsule. With a sudden click, a latch opens to show an empty cavity.

"This is no good..."
