And so, low and behold, I search for a partner who hopefully is interested in this self-indulgent idea of mine. Below is my character form, followed by what I'm looking for in a partner. Don't stress if you don't meet every requirement! Chat with me, we might still be able to work something out. ^^

Aiden Smith was born in a quaint suburban neighborhood to quaint suburban parents. He was an only child, and constantly doted on by his loving mother and father. However, even at an early age it became apparent that he was much smarter than the average child. He learned to read faster than most children, and was already learning basic math before he'd even entered school. By the time he'd entered primary school, he was already way ahead of his peers in every subject. However, his life didn't truly take a turn until he was eight years old, and he solved the Riemann Hypothesis all on his own.
Ever since it's first suggestion in 1859, the Riemann Hypothesis has remained unsolved, despite many attempts from mathematicians all over the world to prove it. It was considered by many as the most important unresolved problem in true mathematics. There was a one million dollar reward for whoever solved it, as part of the millennium prize problems program. When an eight year old boy solved the problem, it naturally put him in the spotlight. He was dubbed by the media as the '21st Century Einstein', and this name would follow him throughout the rest of his life.
However, not everything was well and good behind closed doors.
The prize money for solving the Riemann Hypothesis went to Aiden's parents, and naturally they spent it quickly on expensive cars and a home upgrade. However, they'd had a brush with fortune, and they weren't ready to give it up yet. Even after the money was gone, they manipulated Aiden into solving more and more equations, using his intellect to gain them incredible fortune and fame. For a time, Aiden was willfully blind to their sinister antics, not wanting to believe that his own parents could using him like that. It wasn't until he was ten years old that it all truly came together.
The moment when Aiden realized his parents were manipulating him was, in hindsight, nothing special. He was being introduced, or more like shown off, to some billionaire at a fancy party, and it just clicked. Everything suddenly made sense. There was no trigger, no cataclysmic event to cause his realization. He just knew. It dawned on him that his parents were out only for themselves, that they were greedy and desired fame and fortune and cared little for his well-being.
Moreover, he realized that it wasn't just his parents using him - it was the whole world. The media covered him in order to boost their own views, the billionaire he was being introduced to only was interested in using him to gain more wealth or fame, and everyone was out for themselves. The worst part, in his mind, was that few had the guts to admit their greed - they were all actors, hiding behind lies like offering career opportunities to him or wanting to share his brilliance with the world.
Even after this realization, Aiden continued to go along with his parent's manipulation like nothing had changed - but something very vital had changed. He saw every manipulation, every small lie or deceitful word. But he knew as a minor there was little he could do, and as part of this world he had to act, too. As time progressed, his jaded views expanded. He started to see people talking on the street and realized they, too, were only out for themselves - they were acting, pretending to be kind by helping out a stranger but really they were seeking to improve their own image, to make others like them more or to gain more friends. He realized that the entirety of society was just a bunch of egotistical fools posturing for others egotistical fools. Politicians were the worst of the bunch - they had their self-centered lies down to an art form. He began to hate the world and everyone in it, and especially hated the fact the most people seemed either completely oblivious or in denial of what they were doing. He recognized that he himself was no better, but at least he knew what he was doing! And he hated himself for being an actor where the whole world is a stage.
He started college at the very early age of eleven, having skipped through most of middle and high school. He earned his M.D. at seventeen, a little fast but he did a lot of extra credit work and took some classes he was supposed to take in college at high school. He got a medical degree as opposed to something related to mathematics, for although he was exceptionally talented at math he found it too easy, and decided to take a career path related to the sciences. He's also extremely good at multi-tasking, and his powers of perception are nothing to sneeze at either, although definitely not at Sherlock level.
On Aiden's 18th birthday, he left home just like that. He didn't even say goodbye to his parents. He's 21 now and works as a psychiatrist in the psychiatric ward of Summerfield Medical Center. He finds a sort of company in the twisted sense of honesty present in mentally ill. These are people who have been rejected from the world because they can't act like everyone else can. And while he still continues his search for someone who is honest because they choose to be honest, part of him doubts that person even exists, and considers the mentally ill the next best thing. He works closely with patients suffering from psychosis and related disorders, and prescribes them medications and therapy.
He is incredibly intelligent, but suffers from his judgmental nature and overconfidence in his abilities - although oftentimes his confidence is very well deserved. Aiden often comes across as rude and blunt, and makes it clear that he doesn't care what other think. However, he does have his soft-spots. He has a black rescue cat named Noir, who is often mistaken for a kitten due to his small size, despite being a little over 3 years old. Noir is one of the few living creatures Aiden can say he loves, second only to mathematics.

What I'm looking for:
- Someone capable and willing to play either the 10th or 11th doctor from Doctor Who. I don't really mind which, but I think they'd create the most comedic scenes with Aiden, and they're also my personal favorites. However, if you'd prefer to play a different doctor, let me know! I might be willing to make exceptions, but note that I'm not 100% caught up with the show so I haven't met the 13th yet.
- Someone who is interested in a healthy mixture of comedic and emotional scenes.
- Someone who can write at least two paragraphs per post, preferably more. Proper grammar and punctuation are also greatly appreciated. Obviously I will do the same.
- Not a strict requirement, but someone okay with using BBCode would be nice. However, don't let this deter you as we 100% don't have to use BBCode if you don't want to.
- Someone willing to talk OOC and ramble about characters and what not.
As far as the story line, we can make it up as we go, or follow the canon story line for whatever doctor chosen but substitute Aiden for the companion in that season. I haven't seen Doctor Who in some time so I'm not entirely sure it'll be completely accurate in the latter case but the fandom Wiki is my friend I suppose. I think Aiden would be a unique character to pair with the doctor, as Aiden acts with the weariness of someone who has lived a thousand years (despite living a mere 21) and yet has a very different perspective on life from the Doctor. Whereas Aiden sees the bad in his fellow humans as a reason to close himself off, the Doctor sees the bad in humans as a reason to save them, often times from themselves. Aiden is also extremely perceptive and will pick up things about the Doctor instantly that some of his companions took much longer to figure out. I think this pairing will challenge these character's core values in a deep and fun way.
