Name;

Juneau Wren Evanson

Age;

24 years old

Occupation;

Since she's been out of high school, she's been job-hopping as if the idea were a hot potato. Although she is a hard-worker, she can't stand the idea of monotony and leaves the workplace every six-months or so because she can't stay still. Right now, she works in retail. Last October, she was a fitness trainer. This being said, she doesn't make all that much money and relies on her parents quite a bit.

Bio;

Juneau was born and raised in the United States in Northern California. She grew up calling her friends "dudes" and saying things were "sick." Up until her middle school years, she was one of the boys and did things her way and her liberal parents encouraged her to live freely. Around the time kids got pimples and boys suddenly had a ton of leg hair, she started ebbing away her tomboy-ish nature: she became more concerned about how she was viewed, what she wore, how she talked. Fewer of her friends were boys and more of them happened to be ladies: actual feminine creatures that invited her to sleepovers and trips to the mall. It was a different time for her. As an active child, she still played in sports on the softball and volleyball teams throughout high school and won grants for college; as far as looks went, she even was a runner-up for Prom Queen and had a boyfriend. Senior came and went and off she was into life. This is where her story changes drastically. Juneau and her friends split up, each carving their own path into their future. Everything she had built up suddenly disappeared. All the fame and glory of being a "pretty person"? Gone. It ended with her time in high school, and she realized that she had to do something to keep her from drowning. To keep herself above water, she kept herself busy with boyfriends, work, activities and road-trips. It wasn't always the best life, but she refuses to sink. With the recent events concluding that there's little left for her, she decided to take the next step in spontaneity: auditioning for a reality show, and well, who knows what kind of trouble this could get her in.

Personality;

Juneau is someone who started off being wild, brash, and reckless. Stubborn and unafraid, she transitioned into someone who was all-too concerned about her body and features. Was she pretty? Funny? Nice enough? All of her prior qualities went out the window other than that of her boundless energy. Although she's not a quiet person, she isn't one to be entirely outgoing: she's just someone who can't stand still. After high school, she's turned into someone who's more scattered, fearful, and anxious about everything. Hyperactive and daring, she'll take risks that no one else is willing to take.

Name;

Soren Lee Dreher

Age;

25 years old

Occupation;

He was a Teacher's Assistant at the Avalon High School on Santa Catalina Island, but he's on a temporary leave while he's doing this crazy reality show!

Bio;

Soren grew up on the mainland of Southern California up until his parents, both marine biologists, moved their four-person family, to Santa Catalina Island. The majority of his childhood was spent with long hours on the beach, going on scuba-diving trips, and visiting other major marine ecosystems across the world. There wasn't exactly a dull moment then, but things eventually slowed down. His parents, still pursuing their own endeavors, continued traveling, researching, and studying. When he was sixteen, Soren became an emancipated minor and had legal rights to his sister, Shelby, while his parents were away. The two of them led uninteresting lives, finished high school with Honors with the time they spent into their own academics, and both graduated within four years of Soren being emancipated. In those seven years, Soren went to college on the California mainland to complete his general education and move onto the his teaching major. But things are dull in life, and even in Soren's life, the dull doesn't stay. As a prank, his best friend and colleague, Brent, set him up for an audition for a reality TV show and guess where Soren ended up? Obviously, the most fiery pit of hell.

Personality;

Soren is a very down-to-earth person: sensible, pragmatic, efficient in almost everything he does from the way he pours his milk into his cereal bowl to the money he saves up from doing odd-jobs on the weekends to pay off college loans while still managing a part-time job and school. Hard-working and quiet, Soren isn't exactly your average 20-something kid. He doesn't party, he doesn't want to dance with somebody; he doesn't even want to go to his favorite bands' concerts. Thus, whatever the hell Brent threw him into was such a low blow it has probably caused blunt-force trauma to his conscious and has left him questioning the normalcy he has established. May some higher-being help him.

Name;

Remy Alois Parker

Age;

22 years old

Occupation;

Kicking butt as the lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist of a three-man band called "Small Heights." He does a ton of gigs when he's not working at Arby's.

Bio;

He's just a kid with a stupid garage-band. Remy's got a runaway mom and a drunkard dad, so he lives in his friend's garage (under the drum set). As a high school drop-out, he doesn't have much of anything except for a pocket full of talent and boundless energy, so getting onto a TV-show because he was "annoying" and would be "great for conflict" is sort of a step-up from where he was... Seemingly.

Personality;

Punky and fancy-free, Remy could do a lot for attention. Truth be told, he didn't get much of it from either of his parents. At school, he was the class clown, but he's moved on from that. He's easy to like, but also easy to hate, so there's that. He might not be the most

trustworthy

person in the world because he has a big mouth, but he's innocent enough and doesn't really mean harm.

The Level-Headed Friend

Basics

Name

: Magdalena Marie Moss.

Nickname

: "Maggie."

Age

: Eighteen.

Grade

: 12th.

Birthday

: December 6th, 1996.

Appearance:

Face Claim

: Alison Sudol.

Distinguishing Marks

: Dimples when she smiles. A few freckles here and there.

Personality:

In comparison to her best friend, Adira, she is a lot more level-headed and even a bit quiet at times. She doesn't really like being alone, however, even as she's grown accustomed to it with her parents' odd hours at the hospital. When with people she knows, she can be a little loud and obnoxious here and there, but outside of her comfort zone, she's calm and sensible.

Short Biography:

Maggie is the only child to a pair of middle-aged parents, both whom are in the medical field, her father, a paramedic, and her mother, a trauma surgeon. They've moved around a lot because her parents have been at the height of their career and have been promoted and offered jobs at different hospitals. Because her parents work so much, she's often alone, but she lives in style with the money they get with their well-paid jobs. She's never been hungry or cold, and she's really appreciative of that. At school, her grades are pretty clean and she's a good tutor when someone needs help in a subject. Senior year has been pretty good... So far.

Other:

She's been best friends with Adira since she moved to her current residence. They hit it off pretty quickly after she moved in because they were neighbors and found common interests. She also likes horror movies, but is a bit shaky all the same; living alone, she's had a lot of time to watch them, but it also increases the scare-factor when you watch it by yourself.

The Kidnapper With A Cause

Basics

Name

: Paxton Blake Tortorella.

Nickname

: "Pax" or "Tortilla."

Age

: Nineteen.

Grade

: Graduated.

Birthday

: April 1st, 1994.

Appearance:

Face Claim

: Adam Brody.

Distinguishing Marks

: Silky, dark hair. Elusive smile.

Personality:

Paxton is the odd one. He can't go about things in a straight-forward manner. He doesn't necessarily enjoy making things complicated, but they just happen that way, unfortunately. He's nice enough, but his approach to things makes him seem a little bitter or mean, even a bit deranged. Thankful enough, he's none of these things. Pax is just an odd person.

Short Biography:

The lad was born to an unlikely couple: a college Professor of Law and a waitress at a local diner. His father, Professor Alexander Ulrich, was incredibly intelligent and his mother, Luciana Tortorella, was very kind and hard-working. Luckily for Paxton, he inherited all of these traits. After he was born, his parents married and settled down together and they took care of him and later, his younger sister, Marin. The marriage wasn't rough until the death of his younger sister when she passed away from an autoimmune disease at seven years old. Ten years old at the time, Pax took it rough as well. His parents separated and he lived with his mother, keeping her surname. As years passed, he switched between the households as it suited him.In present, he lives with his father, studying law and various subjects, training for a higher education.

Other:

He has a good relationship with both of his parents. He secretly wishes they'd remarry.

The Homeless Boy.

Name:

Li Jian-Yu.

Alias:

Andrew Li.

Nickname:

"Andy," but he prefers "Andrew."

Age:

19 years old.

Birth date:

February 2nd, 1996.

Appearance:

Andrew has a very long nose for one thing. Like the rest of his family, his hair is dark and rather straight, wavy at the most. His almond-shaped eyes bear deep gray irises that appear almost black. His teeth are fairly straight and his smile is soft and warm.

Because when he eats is seldom and what he does is usually not much, he's maintained a skinny body type despite his large frame. He has broad shoulders that suit his tall height. His body is quite imposing and he's fine with that, though the fact that he's tall, often a little scraggly at times,

and

homeless doesn't make him the one that has a lot of friends.

As far as dress goes, Andrew doesn't have much to begin with. He wears, most commonly, a dark gray sweater, a pair of worn-out jeans, and cheap sandals, though in the cold, he adds on two more layers of a warm sweater and winter coat. He often has a baseball cap around to cover up his constant bed-head.

andrew%20li_zpseplgvoaz.jpg

History

:

Andrew was never really "Andrew;" he wasn't born in America. Unlike his older sibling, Ding-Xiang, whom were born in Shanghai, Jian-Yu was born in Hong Kong for his parents to bypass the One Child Policy in China. It was under these political pretenses Jian-Yu lived under. He grew up ignorant to his own country's shortcomings to its people, and its people's indifference towards those social misdemeanors. He simply viewed it as normal, because it

was

that way, essentially.

His childhood was a simple one. His parents worked and his grandparents cared for him and his brother, two years his senior. Together, the four of them took care of household tasks and tended to the needs Jian-Yu and Ding-Xiang's parents could not. It was the culture of city-dwellers and it was nothing unusual. When he became of age, he started attending school. Education was difficult, but Jian-Yu was intelligent and book smart. He was good at studying and his parents were proud.

By the time he was in high school, things changed. Schooling was even more rigorous and he only barely kept up. His older brother by two years was in psychological and emotional turmoil and went through severe bouts of depression throughout their schooling. After Ding-Xiang's suicide attempt, the Li family decided it was best for both of their sons if they were to leave China's education system; high school only became more intense by the end of the school year with the

Gaokao

testing for seniors.

Together, Jian-Yu and Ding-Xiang left from the Shanghai port on a cargo ship and stowed away. They crossed the seas and hit San Francisco. The two worked odd jobs to collect enough money to travel to New York where they supposedly had relatives they could live with. Things became dreary, though. Without proper contact, things fell through and they wound up on the streets. Jian-Yu was smart, but he was not street smart and life seemed dimmer and dimmer as their savings came down to a few dollars, a few coins, then nothing. They slept outside, in alley ways on dirty mattresses, and woke up early to search for jobs.

One early morning, months after they had first arrived in New York, he woke up to the same things: the cold, the humming of a vent from the neighboring building, some squabbling from a couple in the apartment across the street. He turned over expecting his brother to be sleeping, but his world crumbled in on him. Ding-Xiang just wasn't there. Jian-Yu waited for him. Hours, he waited, hoping his brother had just gone off to scrounge for food or look for Help Wanted signs, but his brother never came back. Even now, he isn't sure if his brother is even alive, or if he was simply abandoned.

Now, he lives on the streets of New York. He's still cold and still very hungry. But he's made it this far and he wants to keep on living and doing his best because he knows there's no turning back. One by one, new people have come into his life. Dove: just a little younger than he was, with child, scared, but kind and intuitive. Trent: compassionate, protective, angry, yet trying to find his own path in a city where so many end prematurely. And then there was Beth: intense, mysterious, though quick to shield herself from her impossible situation with distractions.

It was here in New York City that they would find family in each other. Lonely eyes seeking out companionship and love. Only those who understood the true dangers of life-- one lived with indifference, misery, and without love-- could do so.

Personality:

There's a great gap between old Jian-Yu and the new Andrew. Jian-Yu was more narrow-minded and focused on studying. He was weaker, gullible, and naive to his surroundings. He drowned himself in emotions that he didn't know he had, and filled himself to the brim with his fantasies. In his head, he had a future, he had friends and would find an occupation suitable to his interests, find a wife and successfully build a family with her, as was the Chinese propaganda. But things change drastically within the few months of Ding-Xiang's suicide attempt. Attention was focused on his brother for those problems that he had. It wasn't the fact that light was shined and concern was brought forth, but the fact that all of it was squandered on someone who disappeared and left their only blood-relative to die or be deported or who knows what. Jian-Yu isn't an expert on foreign affairs nor is he on his own feelings, really. But he feels anger and distress. He has scars on his right fist from clobbering a brick wall the third day after his brother's disappearance; they're an testament to his grief and the solitude he was placed in... Though, not normally violent, he has grown into someone who could easily become angered or emotional despite typically being able to steel himself through things. Because of stress and fear, he's become a much different person. Andrew hopes that he can even will himself to change further into something at peace..

Relationships:

Grandparents

:

His grandparents were the closest piece of family he had in China. They were held responsible for his and his brother's home life. Furthermore, they spent plenty of time at home together, which made them well-off in emotional attachments, though there was definitely the irrevocable respects that they, as grandchildren, had to use. The formalities didn't drop because of the closeness they had. Andrew misses them the most out of his family.

Parents

:

They pose as a catalyst that sent him on his journey. Though their intentions were good, he can't help but to blame them and the Chinese education system a little for the condition he's in. He respects his parents dutifully, though he didn't lean on them. They fulfilled their duty as parents by making sure their children received education and that they had a roof over their head, but they were never to be used as an emotional crutch. They were doing what they felt would make their children successful. But things don't go as planned... What might seem right at first can go downhill quickly. Especially for Andrew.

Brother

:

It's very, very simply said that Andrew has very little of anything but hostility towards his brother. Nothing but bad vibes and a bit of shared blood. Kinship is the last thing that keeps Andrew from finding Ding-Xiang and beating him mercilessly for further thrusting him into the mess they were in. Only that small sliver has hope in Ding-Xiang's return. The rest has felt utter betrayal and can't forgive him for his brother's disappearance.

Bethany

:

She is among one of the most provoking women (and people) he has ever met. It was definitely not the fact that she smokes or drinks or that she was the Chinese image of 'an American woman,' because she wasn't necessarily that. What definitely pulled him in were the boundless complexities to her. There was nothing stringent in any sense. She could be there one minute and gone the next. She bounced along, her thoughts moving jaggedly in one direction or the next. The excitement she brings to the group is something he'd never before experienced and his interest in her is more than just piqued. He's damned-well

interested

, all right. But it's not just for her body, or just for her brain. For all of her.

Trent

:

The two are highly respectful towards each other, maybe more in an unsaid fashion than them being polite verbally. Andrew isn't the most casual person. It's difficult to be that way when the culture you come from is built on formalities and almost devout respect; however, Trent helped him ease into American culture and laid the foundation that Andrew would typically consider the basis of common relationships in the US. Andrew has voiced his appreciation many times for this. Insert many thumbs-up and grins for Trent.

Dove

:

Their relationship at first was awkward at best. She didn't want to be around him and he didn't want to scare her and was self-conscious enough so that he unintentionally made himself more intimidating with his own shyness. Eventually, they broke past this barrier and now he feels much like an older brother to her. He doesn't have much advice as far as pregnant runaway teens go, but he does the best he can by offering his assistance and empathy at any moment she needs it.

Past Goals:

In the beginning, it was very well-known that he wanted to attend a college. The fact that he would be attending one of the East Coast of America was something he was so fascinated about. It was going to be the opportunity of a lifetime, but they would have to have to get the money to do so. They were going to work hard after finding the family they were promised. But that didn't happen. Their hopes of settling in fell through; with that, so did attaining legal citizenship in the US. Andrew's life very clearly crumbled underneath him. He and his brother fell down a hole and he wasn't sure if it was a dream or not. If it was, he still hasn't woken up from it.

Present Goals:

He would like to say that he just wants to stay alive, but that's not really it. Andrew has given up on certain aspects of it. He understands that he honestly might not make it out of this kind of situation, whether it be making it out with this lifestyle or his life itself. Coming to terms, in this sense, doesn't necessarily mean he's given up or that he's going to accept the possibilities of this kind of fate. If he's going to die, he's going to do so kicking and screaming.

Extra's:

- He actually really would like to own a pet. Like a dog, or something.

- He's never had any real sexual or intimate relationship with anyone before.

- He bites his nails out of a nervous habit.

- Taught himself to be ambidextrous because he thought it was a fun thing to do.

- At one point, he was studying Chinese Art History. He was going to pursue this in the States.

Role:

The Pregnant Girl.

Name:

Dove Adelaide Lanning.

Alias:

Dove Williams.

Nickname:

"Dove" is fine.

Age:

17 years old.

Birth date:

August 27th, 1998.

Appearance:

With years of miscellaneous physical activities, she's remained rather petite at a completely healthy weight. With recent inner-turmoil, she's been eating out of nervousness, anxiety, and for the baby, so she's slowly packing on a few pounds, which she realizes is alright. Though not pudgy yet, she has come to terms with idea of being plump.

Dove has soft, chestnut hair that just goes past her shoulders, but she often ties it up and puts it under a baseball cap to remain casual and plain in public. In her heart-shaped face, are light-colored eyes that could be easily mistaken as blue or gray or even a light seagreen, but are initially blue. Her nose is medium-sized and fairly dainty; her lips are plump and kissable. Dove has a very slight indent in her chin and, all the same, it juts out-- especially when she smiles to show off white teeth. Her front teeth are longer than what might be considered normal, all 32 of her pearly whites are close together and cozy.

As far as clothing goes, she has a black t-shirt underneath layers of coats and sweatshirts during the cold. For the most part, she wears jeans with the bottoms rolled up a few notches and a pair of worn-out converse. Her choice of color in clothing tends to be dark. As far as accessories go, the only thing she dons are a pair of plain earrings studs and a watch.

Family:

Father

:

Martin James Lanning, 42 years old.

Mother

:

Madeleine Marie Lanning, 44 years old.

History:

You could say that Dove had quite the life before "the Fall," as she calls it, happened. She was born to two incredibly brilliant lawyers, Martin and Madeleine Lanning on Staten Island, New York. She was fed well, lived in a ritzy penthouse, went to important parties with her parents on occasion. It was a nice life for the most part, but it also became a problem.

Though as incredible as they were, her parents also both happened to be complete opposites. Fights and debates happened regularly when they were around each other, but because of the busy life that was the court case after court case, Dove made good friends with her nanny, Janie.

When they had the time to eat dinner together, the topics were often about her grades, her friends, and her achievements even as a small girl. While they were before the Judicial System representing criminals and innocents alike, they had Dove go to private lessons for violin. Lessons were twice a week with hours of practice in between, and even in that amount of time spent on the violin, the two didn't really seem to click. Her hands were too firm, her form was too stiff, and it was just a relationship that didn't work out. They pulled her out before her second recital.

Her parents, although maybe a little disappointed that violin wasn't working out for their child, decided to put her in other programs. All of them ate up her time. Dove made friends, lost them when she switched to the next extra-curricular, and made new ones. She felt embarrassment when she couldn't be the shining star of the class like she knew her parents wanted to be, but it was inevitable. From figure-skating to ballet to swimming, she done a little bit of everything. One might say she's become more cultured because of it, but for her, the time she's spent on all those little things have only eaten away at her time and left her vulnerable with few friends.

By the time she was thirteen years old, her parents realized that Dove would excel if she chose something she was interested in. She chose learning a foreign language. Though it wasn't something physical or very extracurricular, they nodded their heads because one day, she might decide to be a translator, an occupation that made good money and bountiful in the business life of New York. With that settled, she began learning Spanish. Within a couple of years, she was close to mastering it, so she took on learning French and Italian, and later she added on German and Dutch. By the time she was in her Sophomore year of high school, she was fluent or semi-fluent in five languages and this did, indeed, make her parents proud.

Particularly immersed in her studies, she retained exceptional grades in literature, language, and arts classes and her efforts in the science and mathematical field were also commendable. It was at the beginning of her Junior year did she realize something was amiss. She was lonely. Lovely, smart, and pretty, but very lonely. Her efforts appeased her parents, but they only satisfied her to a minimal degree at this point. She had few friends, and most of them were thick books.

It was at this point of her life that she decided to reform herself. To become Dove 2.0. She became socializing more and the boys started to notice her more. A late bloomer, her curves came forth in subtle grace. She was so quiet before that not even she had really taken notice that she was really different in a physical aspect. Dove thought that her flat-chested-ness was typical.

It was when a particular boy, Aidan Gooding, had taken interest in her that she fell completely head over heels for him. She even wrote letters she would theoretically send to him in multiple languages so that her parents and other privacy-invaders could not read her love notes. Things didn't seem to fall through. He gave her attention, invited her cafes with his friends, and they hung out after school. They were both single and it happened: the beginning of the Fall.

It happened on an afternoon when they were caught in a rainstorm. Instead of fighting off the pelts of water for an extra few blocks, they took refuge in his house. His parents weren't going to be home until late. She sent a text to her parents, whom would also be late, that she was going to hang out with her friend before going home.

They cozied up on the couch, watched some daytime drama that was playing, but it was only in the background at that point. Their clammy hands touched, butterflies burst in her stomach, and he kissed her damp hair. Things snow-balled until their clothes were on the floor and their bodies were in a sweaty, still heap and the only thing besides the ridiculous daytime TV show that they even could hear were themselves breathing hard after the fact.

Things changed really fast after that.

She and Aidan stole kisses at school here and there in private, but they weren't a couple. Schoolwork piled up and they both went their separate ways for the while as they concentrated on upcoming exams and approaching end-of-the-year projects. A month and a half passed and she started her mornings with vomiting. There was something wrong and her blood ran cold with the idea that what happened that rainy day carried over. But it did. The stupid pink plus confirmed it.

At first, she sought out his support. She came to his house after school a Tuesday afternoon and told him. Shock buried itself deep into her heart. "I'm sorry..." Dove was quick to run off, but it wasn't his fault, was it? Her thoughts were tangled and her emotions were crippled. When she got home a new fear rose inside her throat. She stayed quiet. She kept a mask over her fear and no one asked. Even the housekeeper and her former-nanny and current-best friend, Janie, was fooled.

It was that weekend that the climax of the Fall approached: she had decided with her parents being fierce in court and quick, stubborn decision-makers that there was no way she would be able to keep the baby and avoid them taking Aidan to court. She chose the way that would prevent either from happening: she ran away.

She left with the clothes on her back, a sleeping bag, and a dufflebag that held two changes of clothes, an umbrella, money emptied from her savings account, the essential hygienic tools, and a bit of makeup. With her hair put up in a ponytail under a cap, Dove fled her household in the middle of the night, leaving only a note:

I'm okay.

~ Dove

She crossed over to the heart of New York City and found a decent place to sleep for the night, then began her life as a runaway. Over the next week, she met a boy named Andrew, and they became friends, eventually sleeping in the same area. She met Beth soon after with her adventurous and wild nature, and finally Brent. Together they made a quartet of unlikely kids who were out there, trying to survive in the bustling energy that was New York.

Personality:

Dove's personality goes deeper than what she really may convey through action. She thinks a lot more than she does take up actions-- in her eyes, failure is a misstep; standing still is better than going backwards. For a long time, she didn't really think her opinion mattered. She was alive so she could make her parents proud and through their fulfillment, she was "happy." Sadly, or not, it didn't hold true. She realized that she was only making herself lonely by devoting herself to that idea. "Dove 2.0" came along and she felt a little more confident, a little more daring, though only a little. Still shy and anxious with every onset of a social existence, she really had to push herself and for this reason, she is honestly proud to say that she was determined in this sense. After "the Fall," all that she knew about herself went down the hole other than the fact that she

just doesn't know

and that she's still shy about things. Dove took a huge risk by leaving her "home" and finding the one she has now. Altogether, she's insecure, naive, and timid; she's more selfless than self-serving, tries to be agreeable, considerate, and compassionate; and lastly, Dove is private, guileless, a bit skeptical and just unsure.

Relationships:

Mom and Dad

: Her relationship with her parents is a mildly estranged one. As they are often away from the house or are researching a case, they don't have much time together at all. They come and go and there isn't much emotional attachment other than a bit of fear and appreciation. Fear of being a daughter that they can never be proud of and appreciation for the upbringing they were able to give her despite lack of contact.

Janie

: Although she is the nanny and keeps the penthouse clean while her parents are away, Janie has become much like the grandmother that Dove never really was able to have with both of her grandparents being hours away by flight in Illinois and Arizona. It is because of Janie she developed a heightened emotional capacity for events (though she hasn't gotten the hang of the truth or lies in a relationship that you can pilfer from face value), made her own opinions on topics despite her parents' quarrels and opposing views, and became as cultured as she is now with Janie's persistence in getting Dove to learn about different countries and people.

Beth

: Although not always the one she can go to when she needs to talk about things more personal, Beth has always been one Dove can rely on when she's in need of a brain teaser-- something more interesting to talk about than the dreariness that their lives have been pulled into. Beth's intelligence has astounded Dove many times and it leaves her begging for more. If anything, she likes to listen to her talk even if she, herself, doesn't put much into the conversation because she likes to hear Beth's opinion on things, regardless of whether or not she follows the idea. Now and then, Dove chips in some money to pay for some good alcohol for the group to enjoy together despite not drinking any herself.

Trent

: There's something about him that makes her happy. He's almost always willing to help her, Beth, and Andrew. They're all in compromising situations and it's what her father would call a "blessing" to have someone so attentive. He's easy to talk to and she's become comfortable with him even after the betrayal she's felt with Aidan and her general fear of boys. He seems particularly interested in her condition and it makes her feel safe around him, an ever-present amount of appreciation growing for him.

Andrew

: At first, she was terrified of even talking to him. He was different from the almost 100% Caucasian populous that was her school and her life and his presence was something that felt wrong. She almost felt guilty talking to him because he was illegal despite not committing any further crimes. Dove realized he was a very genuine person and took it upon herself to learn about his customs along the way as well as teaching him about American culture in return for his kindness.

Past Goals:

When she was in a warm penthouse, she didn't have her own dreams, per se. Her parents gave her an image to dream of and she was confined to that. She would keep up her grades, she would become a Translator for the United Nations after years and years in her department and going to SUNY Binghampton or some other fancy University for proper training. It wasn't as if she didn't want to do something interesting like that, but it wasn't

her

dream. She didn't know what she wanted other than some friends and some boy who would be nice to her-- to become proficient in as many languages as she could. Dove thought that would be Aidan and she and her gullible self believed they'd graduate together and get married and have 2.5 kids or whatever the American ideal was or something. Overall, though? Dove didn't know what she wanted. It was decided for her.

Present Goals:

With the drastic change, she took up a few new ideals. Her main priority was to keep healthy. The idea of being a mother? Terrifying, utterly terrifying-- but so was the idea of disposing of a life that she was in control of. She'd rarely had control of anything in her life and the fact that she was responsible for someone other than herself or her grades? She was and

is

petrified. So, goal number two was to utterly decide how she was going to handle everything; to get a job or something along the way, though that was hard being a runaway. She would have to wait it out until she turned eighteen or work in a place where identification wasn't important; a laundromat or something. Dove could charm them into it, if need be. But that brings us to present goal

numero tres

. Dove's final goal is to find close ties with her new family and she wants to be of service, someway, somehow.

Extra's:

- She can speak Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Dutch fluently.

- She intends on learning Wu Chinese (Shanghainese) from Andrew.

- Also in the works (possibly); Russian, Yiddish, Bengali, and French Creole.

- After her ordeal with Aidan, she's shy around boys; even with Andrew and Trent at times.

- Food cravings will have her eating awkward things like pickles and ice cream. Together.

- Strawberries and jalapenos have also become one of those weird things.

- Throwing up in the morning is now a ritual. She hates it. Passionately.

- She identifies as a Christian Deist (God created the natural world, but does not interfere).

- Dove went through a phase where heavy metal was her favorite genre. It still calms her.

Personality:

The most obvious thing about Chance is that he's admirably good-natured. Regardless of the task he is asked to do, he does it with amiable compliance, with a quick, sure smile and a kind word or a joke. The most boring thing you could be is one thing all the time, so he does like to spice things up a bit with his witty humor and quick responses. This is just one side of Chance. Another kind you could face is someone who's emotionally attached to people or things very easily. When things or people are hurt, his heart clenches, it flips, he rages. He cannot stand the idea of people being senselessly hurt. While incredibly pragmatic where he knows his place and can help people, he definitely is upset when he is helpless. It's about one of the few states of mind he cannot stand for. Brave, loving, attached, and determined, one can rely on him without much doubt!
