Hey there -- I'm Vaal.
I've writing for a little over 15+ years now. Much of my time writing has consisted on forum based roleplay sites, as well as other mediums in the form of old sites that either don't exist anymore, or are no longer the same. That being said, I've searched for an active site for some time now so this has all been a breath of fresh of air.
Settings, genre's, and themes are all open for discussion. I may not have anything mentioned on here for it but I am open to the discussion of fandom based plots, granted I at least have some knowledge of them or am capable of doing research of the discussed setting. I have little issue with dicey topics, and triggering scenarios, warnings provided of course as well. That being said, I am only interested in partners who are of age -- no minors!
I am a relatively busy person -- I work full time as a store manager and have a team that depends on me. Working Monday through Friday, averaging usually 50hrs per week, my availability usually fluctuates as I'm usually on call 24 / 7. I am usually free on the weekends and at night however, and depending on the type of day I'm experiencing I can hop on briefly during work hours.
With this being said I am an extremely flexible person and am seeking a partner who is patient and open to putting up with my limited schedule and sporadic availability. I cherish creativity and encourage imagination with those I write with, and am more than willing to compromise on mediums for discussion and maybe even play. I like to think of myself as an easy going person and I'm pretty open about things, so please feel free to reach out!

Communication.rule one
I hold this standard high both in my personal life, as well as professional. A key factor in conversations, expression, and relationships -- I greatly encourage all who intend to reach out to me to please communicate with me. Be it that you have an idea, are interested in my plots, or simply just want to chat.
This goes without saying as well but, if you've lost interest in one of my ideas or simply with writing with me in general, please communicate this with me! I am an adult and am more than capable of taking basic rejection, dismissal, or constructive criticism and I promise you, this hobby is not my life. So please communicate!
Patience.rule two
I have an extreme busy schedule as mentioned before, and while I do preach communication, life has a way with pulling my attention away. So while it may be difficult for me to return responses, or to simply chat on a regular basis, all I ask is for patience and understanding that once again this hobby is not my life. That being said, please communicate with me if your patience has begun to wear thin!
Privacy.rule three
While I'm willing to open up bits and pieces of who I really am, I am not interested in the idea of becoming friends with people outright on here. I prefer the good ol' fashioned ways of getting to know someone, and if we end up frequently talking and brainstorming with one another I'm sure we'll grow closer over time!
Passion.rule four
A strange rule, yes, however I find myself in one sided conversations more than I'd like. While my ideas might be written out, they are not totally fleshed out, which is why I'm on the hunt for others who are as equally passionate about brainstorming and worldbuilding as I am!
Literacy.rule five
I'm going to be very honest when I say that I'm definitely not the brightest bulb of the bunch, however I do require at least an intermediate level of literacy when it comes to writing with me. Paragraph responses, details being clear and vivid, and spelling errors minimal. Overall, quality over quantity takes precedence.

Inspiration: The Girl who Leapt Through Time | Suzume
Pairing: M x F (Your Character x My Character)
Life is short and full of unexpected twists and turns. Some come as blessings, and some are simply meant to be a lesson. So when a natural disaster occurs and your character passes away in a heroic display to save mine, my character struggles to understand the lesson or blessing in it all.
Body undiscovered after the storm and no memorial or funeral to commemorate them, my characters confusion only grows when people around her begin acknowledging her survival as a miracle instead of your characters selfless actions.
Reality soon hits a tipping point for my character as the entire town now no longer remembers you, the house your character grew up in now gone and replaced with a convenience store, and the seat your character once occupied in school is now taken by another. Unsure of what's going on, battling grief, and wrestling with unsaid feelings and thoughts, my character decides to turn to otherworldly measures to figure out what's happened and to get her friend back no matter what it takes!

Inspirations: Original Concept

My character has a strange secret that sheβs kept to herself for years now β she can hear the thoughts of everyone around her. From her parents, to her friends, to the strangers that pass her almost daily on the street. While able to pick up information with ease, it can be more of a curse than a gift in reality as others thoughts are a near constant, unfiltered stream. Knowing what your friends really think of you, or truly understanding how youβve disappointed your parents β or how about knowing that the quiet, recluse of the class is actually a gang member. An infamous one at that.
While this information has had no effect on my characters life as they only share one class together and have opposite friend groups, my character finds herself in a tight spot when she overhears the thoughts of other students planning to ambush and kill yours. Morally unable to ignore this, my character decides to follow yours at the end of the day. Unable to prevent the ambushing and just barely stopping the assault from crossing further into a murder, my character rescues yours but unfortunately finds herself falling into a deeper mess than she could have ever expected.

Things have been pretty strange for your character lately, creepy even.
Shadowy figures moving around out of the corner of their eye, voices whispering to them from dark corners of a room or during bed, and the overwhelming feeling of constantly being watched. It doesn't help that the town has been experiencing a wave of disappearances and terrifying claims of seeing equally strange creatures and people looming around the edges of town either.
Life and the town had always been a bit odd even before this, though. Your character prone to luck while others around them often fall to misfortune, the towns people treating them either like a pariah or royalty, while plants withered around them over time and the skies grew cloudy whenever their mood hit a low. Fortunately, the only person this disposition didn't seem to bother was my character, your characters best friend. Knowing each other since childhood thanks to being neighbors, my character has stuck with yours through thick and thin but even they're starting to act a little strange lately.
On the eve of your characters 21st birthday, a day promised to be perfect, everything changes at the turn of midnight and life as your character knows it will never be the same.
