Be still, My Beating Servos
Inari let out a loud and long laugh, the trademark ‘ohohoho’ ringing through the clear air of their new dimension. She’s nearly drowned out by the sounds of the crowded, bustling city that they’ve landed in. The skyline is barely visible, as the buildings wrap around each other, creating a maze of metal and neon lights, blinding the new residents. As usual, the portal spit them out onto the possibly worst place to be; high atop a rather eccentric looking clock tower, with years worth of graffiti nearly obscuring any wear and tear. Inari spun in a circle, arms spread wide as she laughed to the afternoon sky.
“Oh, what a lovely new world!”
The twins joined in her celebration, joining hands and chanting “Lovely, lovely!” as they danced with their mistress.
Their clothes had changed; Inari's complicated robes changed into an ankle length red dress with an intricate black dragon pattern, it's neckline dropping well below what was considered decent in any way, shape, or form, the cleavage further accentuated by piles and piles pf golden jewerly which jangled with every motions and her ankle-breaking red pumps. The twins were in matching outfits, as usual; oversized jerseys with modest tanktops beneath with inverted black, white, and red decals. Their shorts were oversized as well, with mismatched socks and sneakers, as if they'd each switched one sock and shoe with the other. The number on the back of Kuroha's jersey was "96" while Shiroha's was "49".
Finishing her happy dancing, the witch turned to her companions and raised her hands to indicate the world around her with a level of enthusiasm that the smoggy city certainly does not deserve. Her words were nearly drowned out once again by the sounds of the clock tower they were standing on chiming, the sound akin to a heard of elephants all trumpeting at the same time, accompanied by bells and clangs and spurts of steam as the tower's old mechanisms were put to work. The building beneath them shook with the effort, an obvious creaking could be heard beneath all of the noise. The magic beings laughed once more.
As the quaking subsided and the gears ground to halt once more, the three of them all struck an elaborate pose, their excitement having not dimmed in the least with all the noise.
“Well? What do you think?”
