Rules of the Rp:

*Common sense

*Respect other rpers and remember my word is law here, should there be any conflict. Arguing is acceptable, within reason.

*Judging of characters is my task. If I say something is a mistake, it is.

*Everyone gets two characters, for now.

*You must state how many posts you`ve made in the thread below each post you make

*Each post must have at least 2 to 3 paragraphs, with a minimum of 300 words per post.

*If a player is absent for over 4 days without a proper justification, he or she will be tagged. After 3 days, that person will be sent a PM. After another 7 days, if there is still no response, I will personally take control of that character, solve whatever needs to be done with it and then personally chop it to bits. Quite literally. The player may come back later, but will have to make a new character.

IC rules:

*You cannot partner up with your own characters and the same goes for DNA digivolving.

*Rpers will be partnering up. A player with a human character will partner with one (or two) digimon partners.

*You can roleplay as an infected human, but not as an infected digimon. You can still play as a non-infected digimon, though.

*Two digimon can evolve together. By doing this, they can skip to the immediate next level with a shorter amount of posts. This is the DNA digivolution. It can only be done with two digimon class characters. There will be a separate character sheet for these.

*To attain an armor, one must go on a quest to find it. PM me once you get the necessary amount of posts, so you are given the subplot to find it.

*The ones to obtain a dark digivolution will be those I give that privilege. So, if you want one, be sure to impress me!

*Fights are either resolved by rpers in a way that doesn`t stall the plot completely, or I will have the last word on who wins and what is the post limit.

*Time and duration is measured in posts.

*If your character a great backstory that would require them to be more advanced than their current level, send me a PM and I`ll see if you get a post boost or if you have to change that backstory (quality will be the factor)

*You unlock digivolutions by making a certain amount of posts in the thread. In most cases, you can use the evolution right away:

Level: NPN[ number of posts necessary] (DNA NPN) (Digicard duration)

-Egg: 0

-Fresh: 1

-In-training: 5 (digi-card 7)

-Rookie: 10 (digicard 7)

-Armor 1: 15+hunt

-Champion: 40 (DNA-30) (digicard 5)

-Armor 2: 70+hunt

-Ultimate: 100 (DNA-85) (digicard 5)

-Dark Digivolution: 120+ permission and privilege

-Mega: 150 (DNA-130) (digicard 4)

-Mode Change: 180

-Super-Mega: 230 (DNA-210) (digicard 4)

Character rules:

Hi! Welcome to this digimon rp.

And so, it is time to make the characters. You can choose one of the following three as your characters:

The tamers are you average human character. They have their own digivices and can have up to two partner digimon. These partner digimon are other rpers, not your own NPCs. A human may also go around partner-less for a long as you want or if you can´t find a partner.

Humans are able to summon digimon, though. Through the usage of digi-cards. You can use a digicard only of the level below your own, however you may use up to two at a time. The digicard will summon a digimon (stated in your character sheet) for a certain amount of time.

These are lone digimon or digimon partners to a human. They may have come from the digital world or be humans who got permanently turned into digimon by the infection.

Digimon are not able to use digicards. If a digimon partners up with a human, they will get a boon in digivolution posts (3 posts).

It works as a form of vaccine against the infection, so only very talented or very rich people got access to this. It makes a temporary state of infection where one retains his sanity (typically) and evolves into a digimon for as long as one can retain the strength to do it.

Bio-Hybrids cannot partner up, however, they ARE able to use digicards. Unlike tamers, though, Bio-Hybrids can use digimon of the same level as them, but only one at the time.

Attacks:

Here`s the format with which to put the attacks:

Attack name-Attack description-attack effects-duration-cooldown

Digimon Criteria:

This is the rules I will decide with which characters pass or not. Please note that my own subjective beliefs are what counts in the application of these concepts, so you will have to show me irrefutable proof if you want to disagree:

*They must be real digimon

*They musn`t be a naturally OP digimon (exceptions may apply for super-mega digimon)

*They musn`t be a Xros (exceptions may apply)

*They must follow rp common sense (no metagaming, no pwergaming, etc…)

*There must be an image not provided by a game

*No custom digimon allowed for now

*Cannon characters are not allowed

*the digivolution lines and the attacks on each digivolution are entirely custom

*The digimon from mid-way levels (armors, dark evolution, mode change) can by any digimon from either of the levels between which they are. For example, the digimon you choose to have as your armor 1 can be either a rookie or a champion according to the wikia (or an actual armor), while the dark evolution can be either an ultimate or a mega according to the wikia. Mode change can only be chosen from among the megas though, which also applies to your choice form the super mega.

*digicards and DNA evolutions don`t have mid-way levels.

*This is the list of digimon to pick from: List of Digimon

Combat Rules:

images

*You are allowed to use up to one attack per post.

*Digimon have about a 3rd of the power of a digimon of one level above them. However, this is subjected to skill and tactics in a fight.

*A cooldown begins once the effect of the attack is over.

*The duration of an effect lasts for a number of posts equal to the amount stated plus the one where the effect is used. If an attack lasts two posts, for example, then it will work during all the posts until the end of the user`s second post after the one where the attack was used.

Digicards:

*A digicard allows you to summon a digimon to fight for you temporarily.

*They can be used by tamers and bio-hybrids.

*Tamers can use digicards only of up to one level below their own, but they can use up to two at once.

*digicards can only be used once per fight.

All-

Nicknames: None so far, but he`d gladly take one from a tamer

appearance:

Gender: Male

Class: Digimon

origin: Infection

Usual level: Rookie

Personality:

Dorumon is a conflict on his own: On one hand he craves independence, on the other, he wants to be loved and taken care of.

He has a childish pride, and a certain amount of arrogance. He will be the first to attack to want to do things alone. Although he will normally avoid fights he can`t win, using some vain excuse, if his pride is wounded he may very well engage in just about anything. He can also be quite the prankster and likes to tease other digimon, especially digimon that are weaker than himself. He can be somewhat cowardly, using hit and run tactics as a standard fighting style. Backstabbing would be no uncommon thing for him. Nevertheless, he will not cease to attempt to help weaker digimon and even humans in need. He likes the way it feels to show he is capable by protecting someone. Although he will be a bit sad if his effort is not appreciated, given he likes to be complimented, he is quick to comfort himself as he does not sulk on things for too long without them being “nailed onto his head”. Still, he can have his mood swings.

On the topic of liking to be praised, we have Dorumon`s other side of the coin. He will attempt to hide it (poorly most of the times) and will deny so with all his might, but he is a very lonely digimon. He wants a partner and will love his partner. In fact, sometimes incurs in the habit of staring at people`s dogs and attempting to imitate them when alone. He is very cautious on this matter, though, as he doubts he could handle the shame of being caught. Still, he has some very dog-like habits, such as enjoying being petted and eating from just about anywhere. Speaking of which, that is one of Dorumon`s great loves: Food. He doesn`t care where he gets it, it can be from a restaurant, from the floor or even from the trashcan, it doesn`t matter, he`ll straight up eat it with a smile.

Despite what the rest of his behavior would suggest, Dorumon is actually rather perceptive, curious and willing to learn. He can see much but will always want to learn more and ask tons of questions, especially if he thinks it will help him fight better. He is also very diligent and goal-oriented, which can often become stubbornness, especially if it is with someone he doesn`t get along with.

Name: Sophia Steam

Nicknames: Sophie

appearance:

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Class: Bio-Hybrid

Origin: Human World

Usual level: (for digimon only)

Personality: Sophie is a fun-loving individual with an outstanding curiosity. She`ll stop at nothing to learn what she wants, including using underhanded means to delve into someone`s past. She has no sense of honor or duty, and often risk much for her own amusement. On top of this, she is extremely selfish, and will not lift a finger to help anyone unless she has something to gain from it.

She enjoys pulling pranks and making jokes, as offensive or rude as they might be. She is very straightforward with strangers or people she isn`t quite close with, but that changes when someone gets close to her. She can suddenly be embarrassed with ease, because deep down she is very shy. In fact, this is the driving force that makes her a tomboy, who will often (if not always) proclaim that she`s a guy and deny any claim otherwise. She has a soft spot for cuteness, although her sense of cuteness is a little off as well: She can be found fawning over a Keramon as cute. Nevertheless, she is too embarrassed to show this side of her to anyone, so she`ll usually try to hide or run away before allowing herself to indulge in such a habit. She is a person who will try to set her distance by acting arrogant, but if someone puts her in her place, she might just become loyal and even submissive to that person, while keeping up her act for everyone else.

Once she sets her mind to doing something, however, she will do it. Furthermore, she has a great respect for her freedom, seeking to keep it at all times. It`s one of the few things where she`ll stand up even for other people, given she will see defending their freedom as defending her own. She is quite competitive, going to the point of risking the team and even herself to get to the point. Nevertheless, she`s quite understanding if people don`t nail on unpleasant topics, and even quite perceptive, as she can usually figure out more or less what someone is feeling.

Likes:

* “Cute” things

* Learning and researching

*being patted on the head or praised (especially by her father)

*pulling pranks

*jokes

*surprising people

*games

* challenges

*dancing

Dislikes:

*When people try to boss her around

*people who “think they own the world”

*loud or recurrent noises

*stubborn people

*being told she`s a girl

Backstory: Since young, Sophie always held a great admiration for her father. He was the one who took care of her and the house when her mother was gone working. Because of this, Sophie was a daddy`s girl from the start, something that remains to the date. She was very naïve and shy as she entered kindergarten, which led to bullying up until the day a certain boy, Thomas, stood up for her. Perhaps out of admiration or gratitude, Sophie fell in love with him. Yet, she was too shy to tell him.

Her mother was very strict and imposed her ways into the girl. She`d always go about how a lady should act. Obedient as she was, Sophie always tried her best to follow these rules, which was greatly accentuated when she fell for Thomas. She thought that maybe if she showed him she was a proper lady, he`d fall for her aswell.

They grew up and were parted until they entered highschool. During that time, Sophie was bullied again, but she supported it, keeping Thomas in mind. However, in highschool, she discovered Thomas had gotten himself a girlfriend, which devastated her hopes. Her admiration was shattered, however, and she decided that from there on, she`d be strong like the man in her life. She entered her current rebellious phase and began claiming she was a boy. She`d often get herself in fights with former or current bullies and began various sports. The one time she`d act girly was when alone with her dad.

One day, she was dared to enter the sealed of area where the infection came from. She did, and as a result came back with an arm covered in blue moss. Because her father was leading the research on a cure, she was the first to be operated and given the bio-hybrid vaccine. Since then, she started having some urges provided by the data of the digimon she uses to digivolve.

Name: Amelia Locke

Nicknames: Lia (Leah)

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Class: Tamer

Personality: Quiet, enjoys her space. Shes a bit of a pessimist when it comes to situations she doesn't like, and will shut down if questioned about it. She is patient, but pushing her over the edge has a lot of consequences. A rather distant girl, she enjoys listening to the world around her and is extremely intelligent. She hates being honest with herself and will often look on the worst side of things. That being if she even opens up.

She will often get herself down by drowning in self criticism and comparing herself to others. She fears criticism from others, as that would confirm her suspicious. She is also very superstitious, being a little too careful for her own good and not exploring her opportunities. This may make her seem narrow minded, but she is just too cautious to try new things easily.

She blushes easy, even at the thought of talking to another person makes her get nervous and over think it. When faced with a challenge, she'll think of all the worst things that could happen. So she gets protective over those she ever gets close, even trying to prevent them from doing things all together. If she gets that close to someone, she would rather sacrifice herself rather than see that person disappear. Shes independent, so she will often make decisions without another's input.

Likes: Independence, quiet, listening, and not getting into trouble

Dislikes: Criticism, dangerous situations, over thinking things, and having no support from anyone

Origin: Human World - Aikhura Harbor

Backstory: Tbr

Digivice Color: Mint Green ~ Talks in this as well

Digicards: She almost never feels the need to use them, as she feels that they are 'artificial' and not worth her time.

Nicknames: Chance

Gender: Male

Class: Guilmon, Virus, Reptile

Usual level: Rookie

Personality: Chance is a very lovable and moderately naive digimon, finding the good in everything despite some circumstances. He can often be seen smiling and questioning a lot of things, though just for the sake of doing something. In battle, his persona changes entirely. He has the heart of a fighter, and will become very feral if he finds danger. He tries not to be feral to those around him, but its in his blood. Its very hard for him to resist being blood thirsty in battle.

Hes not the most ambitious, but he will try to succeed despite odds against him. Though, he has a horrible attention span, so he gets off track easily. He might be the sort to try and cut corners, but will generally stay on the right path. He just needs a little guidance from someone whose determined and ready to face challenges head on.

Hes great at being resilient, but he may need a little motivation before doing unwieldy tasks. Yes, this does make him pretty stubborn in his ways. But that doesn't mean he isn't able to change. He can seem a little indecisive when pressured and will often choose to do nothing, because of his fear of failure. Prompting him will often help him get his head into the game.

Likes: Relaxing, smiling, not having to do a lot, looking on the bright side, collecting things, protecting his beliefs, and distinguishing things.

Dislikes: He doesn't like being pressured to do something, when someone's sad and gloomy, thunder, and being clueless.

Origin: Digital World

Backstory: Normal digimon life

Dialogue Color: Unsurprising, huh?

Extra: Mostly flame retardant, as he uses it everywhere.

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Class: Tamer

Origin: Human World, Los Angeles, California

Personality:

Trillia had always been very level-headed. But she had a temper. Once her temper got the better of her, she would let loose like a cannon. However it would often take quite a bit for her to lose her temper. She seemed to be able to handle the worst insults imaginable without blinking. One of her major rage triggers was always her friends. Screw with them and she would eat you alive.

Her friends were her only care. Yes, she made sure to care for herself but not like she cared for her loved ones. She would take a verbal beating about herself but one cross word about a friend and she would jump to their defense. In middle school and early high school, she would often get into physical confrontations over her friends being mistreated. After she learned of the death of her father in Africa, she changed quite a bit. She became darker, more temperamental and more confrontational. She pushed away those who she once called friend because all she saw around them was looks of pity. Soon she was alone, no longer protecting her loved ones because she felt it hopeless. She felt useless.

She's heard many use words like distant to describe her but she doesn't care anymore. Her depression has gotten the better of her. She was a loner, distant and uncaring. Her heart was hardened.

Likes:

Dark music, storms, starry nights that she can be alone on, reading old stories with magic and mystery -like the tales of King Arthur, writing songs, drawing

Dislikes:

People who smile a lot or act super friendly, being interrupted when she's drawing or writing, clingy people

Backstory:

From the day she was born, Trillia was a defender. She was protective of her younger siblings, of her friends and of her family. All through school, she loved to solve people's problems. Normally she solved problems using her logic, her level headed approach to everything.

Once she went to middle school, things got a little worse though. Bullies got bigger and more violent. She started having to prove she wasn't a pushover and that she could protect her friends. She would get into fights and her family would be called to the school. Her father was always the one who would come and take care of things since her mother was a busy lawyer.

She deeply respected her father and tried to avoid fighting when possible. Things worked ok for a while but just after she started high school, her father traveled to Africa with a team of scientists doing research into a possibly beneficial plant. She hated it and it made her a little less peaceful. She was in a few more fights than normal, but never anything serious. Less than six months passed before her family received word that her father had been killed in an attack on the village they were in. The news devastated her and she has never really recovered.

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Class: Tamer

Origin: Edinburgh, Scotland

Personality:

Flirty, spontaneous and stubborn. That's the trio of words she's most used to hearing. Danica is hard-headed. Once her mind is made up she doesn't change it easily. Someone either has to blackmail her or be a very smooth talker to change her path once she's set on something. And it doesn't hurt to be bad looking either.

She's not conceited or obsessed with appearances but if a good looking guy is giving her his time, she will flirt with him. Often times it's subtle and barely noticeable, but if she really wants him to notice her it becomes a little more obvious. She likes to think of her own appearance as average and so she often won't take a flirty compliment quite the way it was meant. When she's in a flirty mood, it doesn't take much to make her blush.

When she isn't flirting with a boy though, Danica is a very fun loving, happy person. She's always got a little bounce in her step and often will sing to herself. She loves to dance when the moment feels right and sometimes will just dance around to make others feel better. She's also been known in one of her more spontaneous moments to just start laughing at something she sees or hears. She can be fairly random at times about how her spontaneity strikes her, sometimes laughing, sometimes dancing, sometimes even trying to do something she doesn't normally do - like climb a tree and start swinging from the branches.

Likes:

Dancing, camping out, s'mores, sweets in general, her friends

Dislikes:

Liars, bitter foods, being stuck inside, rain, being alone

Backstory:

Danica came from an average home. Her mother, father, brother and herself. Her father owned a stable for the local farms to come and shelter their horses and get the reshoed if needed. Her father and brother took care of the heavy lifting at home while she and her mother cooked, cleaned and took care of the horses. She enjoyed spending time with the various breeds that they would see.

One stormy night, lightning struck the stable while she was in the house. Her father forbid her from going out there but she didn't listen. She managed to free all the horses and barely got out herself. Her father was so furious at her disobeying but so thankful she was alive, that she wasn't sure which emotion would win out (joy finally did).

She had many friends all through her school days as she was a very likable person. She always seemed to know just how to cheer her friends up. Boys were her biggest downfall though. For a while she would be awkward around them, unsure how to talk or act. Once she blossomed into a social person though, she began to make male friends. She also learned the a smart, good looking guy could make her believe almost anything. They could change her mind once it was set. And she still isn't sure she likes that.

Name: (only for humans) Ace Fujimoto

Nicknames: Ace

ap

appearance:

Kida.Masaomi.full.236966.jpg

Age: (only if human) 18

Gender: Male

Class: Tamer

Origin: Tokyo, Japan

Personality: (at least 3 paragraphs)

Sensitive, Kind and caring are 3 words which can be used to describe Ace's personality, he believes very strongly in a justice system hence meaning he has a moral compass and will become very vocal when it comes to defending or attacking someone in a manor he think is right, He also has pretty fun side, wanting to share experiences with other people and learn more about them, although he does require some privacy to help himself think about what is going on.

He cares extremely for his friends and will go to the end of the world and back to save them even at the cost of his own life, he doesn't like the idea of a martyr figure but he very much is one. He is quite a playful character to have around, always trying to see things positively but even he knows when times are bleak.

Ace believes rather strongly in the ''innocent until proven guilty'' concept, now this doesn't always go to plan for him unfortunately, blinding him from what might truly be in front of him. He also lacks strength, believing that brains is better than brawns even if he lacks in both departments.

Ace has flaws as well, he's personality and believe in the justice system means he very easily can trust people without realizing what there true intentions are, this can come to bite him after all even the justice system is corrupt in one way or another. He also without a blind of an eye is willing to give up his own life to save someone else, the reason for why he believes his life is worthless is because he doesn't know what his purpose is in life and that no one actually cares especially his father, who calls him a failure.

Ace is also extremely sensitive which means certain comments which may have digs at him, he will become extremely defensive about, hurting his feelings this will usually lead to him becoming rather moody with the person who made the gesture.

Ace also has a history of self harming following his low self-esteem and value for his life, he may often withdraw from the rest of the group when he is down to deal pain on to himself.

Ace comes from a rather rich family, his father being a success full businessman in bringing the Fujimoto name to light however he has always looked down upon his son, calling him a failure and other hurtful names, this has driven him to become even more determined in losing his family name, he knows that everywhere he goes someone has heard of his family name but he happens to be sick and tired of it and wishes he could escape his own reality into a world which doesn't know who he is thus reaming anonymous.

K knew that he wasn't better then any one else, but instead uses a pompous outlook to mask his true feelings. Having been taught in the musical arts, K sings or plays songs matching his mood or conveying a more secret message. With his parents out and about with Hollywood Stars, K took many lessons in cooking as well, enjoying the happiness that people got from eating his cuisines.

Quiet, shy, and thoughtful are words that can describe K when out in public without his parents, he puts on a calm and self-interested mask. Name: Arthur Severus Poe

Nicknames: Arty, Poe, Edgar

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Class: Tamer

Origin: Human World (London, England, United Kingdom)

Personality:

Likes:

  • Art, literature, music, history, philosophy
  • Solitude
  • His family and friend, Wilson
  • Playing the piano
  • Writing
  • Thinking
  • Logic
  • Detective novels
  • Psychology

Dislikes:

  • Crowds
  • Loud noise
  • Trivialities of everyday life
  • Teamwork
  • Ignorance, immaturity, stupidity

Arthur has always been a strange child, to say the least. He has shown signs of great intelligence and perception from an early age, which is why he has been directed towards an academic career. He fell in love with art very early and it has enabled him both to develop a strong imagination and to express himself through writing and playing music. Although seemingly cold and distant, Arthur harbors a strong artistic sensibility. It is exactly because of that sensibility that he had to develop an outward coldness towards people, as he was afraid of being misunderstood or hurt. His sensible nature is augmented by his strong melancholia, which allows him to perceive the seemingly invisible threads of everyday life with more adequacy and precision, but also makes him feel weaker.

In the world in which he was born, Arthur never managed to fit in. His craving for knowledge and his intellectual superiority over his peers made him stand out in a way those same peers could not accept. Being exposed to potential harassment, Arthur was forced to develop a defensive mechanism that would allow him to properly cope with his peers. He closed himself of in his art, his books and his music, developing an almost cynical stance towards his peers. Seemingly arrogant and self-centered, Arthur is just exhibiting his sarcastic (sometimes sardonic) defense which has, for him at least, proven to be quite effective.

He is what might be considered a loner. He doesn't socialize with people and the only friend he's got is his childhood friend, James Wilson, who remains the only person able to penetrate his fortress of cynical solitude. They have a very strong bond and a lasting friendship. As far as his work in a group is considered, Arthur usually does his best to avoid "such a terrible nuisance". He does not consider it effective and is prone to either working alone, whenever possible, or doing all the work so that it be done the best it can be. He is very philosophical and wise, but his individual strength is ultimately weakened by his inability to interact with people around him.

Backstory:

Dolye Prep's Prodigy - The Boy Who Can Do Anything!

In this months issue of Doyle Preparatory School's newspaper, we bring you the story of Arthur S. Poe, colloquially known as Arty (although he will mind you calling him that), one of Doyle Prep's most prominent students. In light of his recent success at the regional History finals, we've had a brief conversation with him to hear his opinion on his success, his future and... well, his past. So... heeeeeeere's Arty!

***

Q: So, another premier spot in the regional History finals. Your third one, if I am not mistaken. In a row. How are you able to do that? It seems like you have no competition at all?

A:
My parents and friends would say I'm being overly modest about it, but I do not consider this being such a prime accomplishment as you're prone to say, but thank you for the compliments. How am I able to do it is easy to answer, actually (*a small grin escapes his face*; this is so seldom we had to publish it on record!). I've been given a good memory and a will to do all of that. It's all about hard work, basically. I read a lot, I collect the data, analyze it and then merge it with the data I already have to complete the picture. People often approach this the wrong way; they read and memorize data without the necessary analytical process needed to achieve a better result. I guess I'm just willing to respect that method.

kamui%2B2.jpg

Q: Yes, I would agree that you're being overly modest about this, but then again, I don't think my opinion will change yours. Now, tell me, it seems, if I understood you correctly, that your success is actually just a side-effect or consequence, of your daily routine? I mean, people usually prepare themselves for such events for months and you haven't said a word about those preparations...

A:
You are completely right, John, it is, how you phrased it, a consequence of my daily routine. It is something I've been doing since I was a wee lad in Whitechapel. I've read hundreds of books through the years, it is my passion and along the lines of fiction, I've been equally prone to non-fiction, reading a variety of encyclopedias and history books. That method is still present in my life even today so it is only natural to conclude that I have no need for a special preparatory period. I've been preparing for this my whole life... not for months, but for years (*another smile escapes his face, this one more friendly than the last one*; a Twilight Zone scenario, perhaps?).

tumblr_inline_nnldn44BM81rsz4lo_500.jpg

Q: Now that you've touched upon the subject. How was your childhood? Your birthday? Earliest memories? Were you such a prodigy even then? Do tell us!

A:
I was, obviously, born 17 years ago. On September 3rd. My parents lived in Whitechapel at the time so I was born there. We moved when I turned 10 and we now live in Marylebone, in Baker Street. My father, Gregory, is a professor of History and Sociology and he works in one of the high schools in the City. I guess he introduced me to literature and it was his universalist approach to knowledge that influenced my education from an early age. I remember I used to think he was omniscient... I still do, sometimes. My mother, Sandra Cobblepot, is a violinist with the London Philharmonic and she teaches violin at the Academy. She has this sensibility, this melancholia, that she, I think, transferred onto me and allowed me to develop a side of me that is wholly different to the rational, almost faustian, approach my father has. Thanks to her, I play the piano and am able to perceive art from a totally different angle and I am very proud to be able to do so. As far as my childhood goes, I dare say it's been almost flawless. I am an only child so my parents directed all their love and attention towards me. I guess I was spoiled back then and it does reflect on who I am today, but I would not say that's something negative. I was allowed to do what I wanted to, to pursue my ambitions from an early age and my parents enabled me to do it every was they could. I remember getting my first 'Britannica' at the age of seven; that's a very happy memory for me. One of many, that is. And, I think you asked that somewhere within that cacophony of questions with which you bombarded me earlier, I would refrain from saying I was a prodigy back then; let the readers evaluate that for themselves. I never liked that term... I am just a little strange, whether I'll be the prodigy you all think I am is up to me to prove and I don't think anyone will be able to evaluate that fully until the day I die.

Q: Now, Arty, that was exceptionally dark! There's no need for such cynicism. What about your social contacts? You garner the reputation of a lone wolf among the students here, and all of that despite your very gentle appearance. I must say most of the girls I've talked to are quite disappointed by your distant guard. Could you explain that for us?

A:
I don't think I can explain why our female peers are disappointed. Isn't that something you should asked them? (this time, I let out a chuckle; he had a sense of humor to him) Nevertheless, I must admit that I am a loner. I don't function well within groups and I don't like crowds. I wouldn't call myself a misanthrope, but I'm not very fond of people in larger groups. I'm an introvert, obviously, and that is how I function. But, in my defense, I must say I'm much more open towards people than I was and yes, I know you're thinking ''For Peter's sake, what degree of freak was he before, when he calls this good'', but that's the honest truth. Maybe we'll meet up in ten or twenty years and you won't believe how well I'm doing! (*and a friendly laugh takes over the room*). But, I won't take much credit for that development... you'll have to thank my friend, James Wilson, whom I'm free to call the Watson of my Holmes persona. He's a true friend... in every possible way. I don't think I could imagine a better friend. Maybe you should direct those disappointed girls to his direction, he's way better with them than I am.

screen-shot-2014-12-13-at-16-56-30.png

Q: Oh, so you're aware you're terrible with them?

A:
I may be strange, but I'm not an idiot. Of course I am (*laughs again*)

Q: This was an unexpected laugh from you, I'm very grateful for that. We see that so rarely around here. Since we're running out of time, I'd like to ask you one more question before we wrap this up. Why so serious?

A:
I don't think that's a bad thing, you know? Do you? Yes, I am a very serious person, I'm not running from it but that's just how some people are. The important thing is you feel comfortable in your own skin and the rest will take care of itself. I don't think you'd like me in my Joker suit.

Q: Yes, I don't think green hair would suit you that much. Thank you Arthur, it's been a pleasure!

A:
The pleasure was all mine. Thank you, John and see you around.

***

As the great philosopher Porky would say: "Th-th-th-that's all folks!" That was Arthur S. Poe, Doyle Prep's prodigy and enfant terrible who's actually quite a nice guy. This discussion was a great pleasure for me and I hope we've managed to break something of the 'Arthur Poe Mythos'. Who knows, maybe, in ten or twenty years, we'll see him and we won't believe how well he's doing!

Yours truly, as always,

John H.W.

Moody. If you ever wanted to describe his personality with one word, 'Mad-Eyes' famous last name would be absolutely perfect. Not to say he has many moods or many changes, but he elusively alternates between a mischievous, sarcastic ass and a wise, calm sage. Much of it depends on the level he is at the given moment, as his personal background and experience on that level influences his behavior. Although prone to bipolar manifestations, he is certainly to be trusted and his loyalty knows very little bounds once it's firmly established. The only problem with this is that he is very suspicious, sometimes borderline paranoid, and he trusts others with much difficulty. As he has been alienated from his peers, he spent much of his life alone and is, actually, still discovering himself and there are more then a few hypothesis' about himself that he needs to test (p.e. Would he sacrifice his good for someone else? How far is he willing to go to help someone? ...).

His mischievous nature is manifested by his earlier levels, principally Tapirmon, although both Mokumon and Motimon show signs of trickery, but are more childish. Tapirmon is sneaky and very self-centered, as he has been thrown out of his tribe because of his Digivolution pattern. He learned that he should trust no one and has then started collecting knowledge and experience. He is an excellent con-artist and manipulator, but also a very skilled thief. But, most of the time, his jokes and pranks are harmless and are being pulled for amusement's sake. He bonds with others slowly and with difficulties as he generally mistrusts them, but once the bond is formed, he is exceptionally loyal and reliable.

As he Digivolves, from Baronmon onwards, he shows signs of maturity. His experience and the gathered knowledge are put to good use by Digimon whose interests are very much directed towards exploring the Digital Worlds secrets. His wisdom grows and he is calmer with every level, also more rational and trustworthy, as he is able to analyze people with more ease. He is prone to giving advice and resolving a variety of issues and questions. Sings of the early mischievousness are seen in his ever-present sarcasm and he is still not completely at ease with bonding and trusting others. In any case, he is open for cooperation and is quite possibly ready for pushing his own boundaries.

Backstory:

From an Egg, in the Digital Worlds region where wizards have lived, a little cloud by the name of Mokumon was born. Playful and sociable, he was initially discarded upon his Digivolution to Motimon, standing out in a group full of DemiMeramon. The Wizardmon and Sorcerymon that ruled over the region decided to keep him, thinking it might have only been a temporary mutation within his code, but time proved them wrong.

Tapirmon_iluzja_3_ksi%C4%99%C5%BCyce.jpg

The Candlemon were to different. He was being labeled a freak and alienated from the same group he was supposed to belong. Sure, Tapirmon was different, but there should have been a more stronger bond, a sense of loyalty and belonging. Yet, there wasn't. The Council of Elders had no choice - he was sent away.

(...)

latest

The big city did good to him and he was able to develop the necessary skills. Although he was called in to a variety of gangs and groups, he preferred working alone. History had taught him that much. He soon became the best and his trickery and thieving skills had no competition within the city.

(...)

One day, he became bigger. Stronger. Smarter. He was Baronmon and with that change, he grew more confident of himself and was ready to begin his quest, his exploration of the World around him. There were so many questions that bothered him ever since he was a small cloud of smoke and now was the perfect opportunity to try and answer them. The day was stormy...

(...)

Waking up with a headache wasn't pleasant. Waking up in the middle of nowhere - likewise. Where was he? What was that place? He tried to stand up, but his legs were... gone!? His hands were different; he was different! He was Motimon again! How did this happen? What exactly happened? He tried to remember...

Your personalities are excellent, I love them. You do have fall short where attacks go, though.

General:

*you cannot have attacks that can "be used continually". You can have attacks without a cooldown, though, allowing you to use the attack on every post.

*attacks don`t all need a duration. Only those with effects that last for one (so, shooting fireballs is something that happens in an instant, blinding someone with gas can last for quite a lot more) [list of those without need for one- "Flare Blitz"

Fresh:

*you can`t have "chase" attacks without a drawback, and not at all in early levels.

In-training:

*"a small chance of chaining into small bursts" what is that chance based on? And what do you mean by "chain into small bursts?"

rookie:

*"Flare Blitz" needs neither cooldown nor duration. Take them out.

Champion:

*What does the plasma do?

*Again, what`s "chain"?

*How exactly does growling confuse anyone?

*The "insane blood lust" is something that is incited in his opponents or a state he enters?

Ultimate:

*no chase attacks without drawbacks.

*again, what does the plasma/spirit do?

* does his ability to produce this last for 2/3 posts or does the enchant last for 2/3 posts?

*"tantalizing gaize" is hugely overpowered. The panic (minimal power stated) is already amazingly strong, in an ultimate. I say, make the paralysis the top effect and add another effect beneath the panic, and reduce maximum post duration by 1.

Mega:

*"Shield of the Just"-make it 4 post cooldown and take out the duration

*"paladin charge" remove the "he`ll eventually slam into something with the opponent" part. There's no guarantee that will happen.

Super Mega:

*"sonic slash rain" remove duration same with "blue prominence" and "gojira`s fulfillment"

*prehistoric screech- dedigivolutions where only the other dedigivolves are overpowered.

*how many times can he raise/lower the ground in the time?

*I need descriptions on what the "heads" can do.

armor 1:

*can`t chase

*remove "skydrop"`s duration

*remove "break pierce"`s cooldown

armor 2:

*remove "megaton hammer crush"`s and "headlong charge"`s cooldown

*increase "tunneling surprise"`s cooldown to 4 posts.

dark evolution:

*more or less everything you wrote there makes this evo OP

Name: Arthur Severus Poe

Nicknames: Arty, Poe, Edgar

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Class: Tamer

Origin: Human World (London, England, United Kingdom)

Personality:

Likes:

  • Art, literature, music, history, philosophy
  • Solitude
  • His family and friend, Wilson
  • Playing the piano
  • Writing
  • Thinking
  • Logic
  • Detective novels
  • Psychology

Dislikes:

  • People
  • Groups

Both your characters have great personalities (and backstories?), which I think will nonethelessbe hard to pull off properly. However, if you think you can do it, the HUMAN character is now approved!

However, the digimon character has two problems:

1. Your backstory ends with him in champion form. Due to the Post/level system here, I can`t allow you to go further than in-training, and even then, it would be opening an exception.

2.You have a huge list of overpowered moves in there.

General:

*anything that has a duration, needs to have a cooldown as well.

In-training:

*you can only have a CHANCE of paralysis at that level. attacks needs at least 1 post cooldown.

*teleports need a maximum range and other limits, as well as a decent cooldown.

*without proper limiters, emprisions need a description of what happens if you`re trapped and cooldown`s bigger than their duration.

*summonings are effects as the summons can`t remain forever. They need a duration

*effects of poisons, toxins, emotion swings, etc...must be explained.

rookie:

*the effects of this terror are....

*terror attack needs a 4 post cooldown

*"virus delete" needs a more concrete limiter, such as a number of times it can be used in battle. Also needs a 2 post cooldown.

*remove "hypnosis". Mind control effects are OP in every aspect.

champion:

*"golden hair" needs a two post cooldown

ultimate:

*"pandora dialogue" needs a maximum of attacks it can absorb and 1 more post of cooldown.

*"eternal nirvana", I may be lenient and allow lower level digimon (weaker) to be trapped for 2 posts and the rest "stronger" can only go for 1 post. Needs a 3 post cooldown and you need to tell us what can or not happen while they are trapped there.

*you need to be more specific on spells can be cast with "elder scrolls". Got the reference by the way.

*remove "wizard`s escape". This thing...I don`t know where to begin. It`s a teleport without a cooldown that brings you and whoever else to this place I know nothing of and can be used at any time. OP nomatter how you look at it.

mega:

*you need to be specific on what can happen to those trapped by "pyramind power" and you need to increase the cooldown to at least 3 posts.

*"devours the digicores of" is an autokill. Remove that.

*"can be evaded" you need to state that, given ALL attacks can be evaded.

*"the sands of time" needs a whole bunch of limiters. A limit on how far back he can go, on what locations he can go to, how long he can do it, when he can activate this power, and what kind of things he can see/hear.

super mega:

*I may go as far as accepting for "laplace`s demon" that weaker digimon get trapped for 3 posts and stronger for 2 posts, with a 4 post cooldown. Again, you need to describe what can happen while their trapped.

*"elder sign" needs to be a lot more specific. Who is summoned, exactly? What are his powers? Needs a 1 post duration.

*remove "mirror oracle" , "scales of wisdom" and "now you see me". The first two are metagaming, the third is a teleport even more broken than the first.

*"dark lux" can have 2 posts of duration with a 2 post cooldown, at the most.

armor 1:

*what exactly does the toxin do?

armor 2:

*"elephant`s can remember" needs further conditions

mode change:

*for "hell`s gate" swap duration and cooldown and remove the "forever" in the description

*all the summons here need to have a 1 post duration. I`ll allow the Cerberusmon to have up to three posts of duration.

*"Pluto`s Cerebrus" needs a 2 post cooldown (1 post duration) or 4 post cooldown (3 post duration). Remove the "to defeat his opponents" part, it`s redundant.

*you need to explain the effect of the toxins.

*swamp the cooldown and duration of "styx"

*"Destroy the opponent" is either redundant or autokill. Remove it.

Likes: (at least 3) Drawing, Philosophy, Love

Dislikes: (at least 3)

Conflict, Selfish people, Anger

Backstory: (optional)

Ace comes from a rather rich family, his father being a success full businessman in bringing the Fujimoto name to light however he has always looked down upon his son, calling him a failure and other hurtful names, this has driven him to become even more determined in losing his family name, he knows that everywhere he goes someone has heard of his family name but he happens to be sick and tired of it and wishes he could escape his own reality into a world which doesn't know who he is thus reaming anonymous.

View attachment 196186

View attachment 197589

Name: Arthur Severus Poe

Nicknames: Arty, Poe, Edgar

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Class: Tamer

Origin: Human World (London, England, United Kingdom)

Personality:

Likes:

  • Art, literature, music, history, philosophy
  • Solitude
  • His family and friend, Wilson
  • Playing the piano
  • Writing
  • Thinking
  • Logic
  • Detective novels
  • Psychology

Dislikes:

  • People
  • Groups

Better, but the attacks still need work:

Rookie:

*reduce the duration of "nightmare syndrome" to 1 post.

Ultimate:

*"Wizard´s Wisdom" needs to be a more closed attack, in that you´re leaving yourself with infinite options. I`d suggest having a set list of books, and then being able to aqquire more over the course of the rp, using the ability as sort of book storage device as well.

Mega:

*"which easily deals with" is powergaming. Change the wording again, please.

*what can the ra dragon do, exactly?

*you still haven´t limited WHEN he can use "sands of time". You can`t just teleport to the past in the middle of a fight!

*"ancient times" is a bit too far. You can choose to either have a small distance in time he can go to, this is, a couple days or so at the most, or you can have such large distances, but have an equally large minimum travel (say your character can go back a thousand years, he would have a minimum of 700 to tavel).

Super Mega:

*what do you mean by "carefully coordinated"? Also, add a limit to the attack frequency while their trapped, you can have a shower of fireballs that they can`t escape from!

*we know as much about the "evil god" as before you edited. Please, add specifics on what he can do or not.

*"mirror force" needs a 2 post cooldown

*increase the cooldown of "scales of wisdom" to 5 posts or reduce duration to 1 post

Armor 2:

*You still need more conditions to use "elephants can remember". You don`t seem to have figure out what that means, so here`s a quick tip: limiters place a rule that reduces the effectiveness of attacks. Conditions set rules as to how, when, and if the attack can be used. In this case, using any attack he can remember is too loose. You need to narrow the range of usable attacks a lot.

Mode change:

*You need to explain "haggard cluster" better

*increase the cooldown in "nyx" to six posts and limit the size of the swamp

*"the ninth circle" needs a 1 post duration

Origin: Human World - Montana, Helena

*UPDATED ONCE AGAIN*
animgrilbworn.jpg

Origin: Human World - Montana, Helena

You still haven't answered my question on whether it's the blades duration that us 2-3 posts or if it's the ability to generate them that lasts 2-3 posts

The other ultimate attack can first use panic THEN paralysis (chance).

You have to dedigivolve yourself at least three stages for me to allow forced dedigivolution on others.
