Digimon

A Digimon is a lifeform composed of data that originates from the Digital World. Digimon come in all shapes and sizes and are typically based upon some concept from the real world. Digimon do not experience death, rather their data is scattered and reformed as an egg somewhere in the Digital World. Digimon typically have six stages: Fresh, In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega. In some cases, however, a Digimon may go a step further and achieve a stage past Mega.

Attributes

Most Digimon will fall under one of three attributes based on the data that composes their body. They are: Data, Virus, or Vaccine. In addition, each attribute has an advantage and a disadvantage attached to it. As a certain reptillian scholar put it: "Data overwrites Vaccine, Vaccine is an anathema to Virus, and Virus corrupts Data." It should be noted that an attribute advantage does not guarantee a victory.

Digivice

A Digivice is a Tamer's most important tool. With it a Tamer can digivolve their partner to a high stage. Aside from this, a Digivice is also equipped with a radar and a constantly updating map of the Digital World. The Digivice's camera also functions as a scanner that analyzes and records a Digimon. A Digivice starts off with a black color before being properly initialized when a Tamer meets their partner. Once that occurs, its color will change based on their owner.

  • Radar App: Detects other Digivices and Digimon in the immediate area. When used, it will either simply detect allies in the area (read: does nothing) or detect approaching hostile Digimon based on their signals. (read: The host edits in a warning block to indicate an incoming wave of enemies or a boss fight).

Digivolution

When a Digimon has acquired enough residual data from the environment they may undergo Digivolution and ascend to a higher stage. Although a un-partnered Digimon may digivolve, this process requires years of preparation. With a Tamer, however, Digimon may digivolve without the required data. Instead, this process draws upon the bond between a Tamer and their Digimon. There are also several special types of Digivolutions although those will remain unmentioned until discovered through RP.
