Hello! and welcome to the digital world. Here you were transported whenever humans accidentally tore between the world using a machine that was supposed to harness the power of neutrinos, atoms that move faster than light. However, this made the boundary between worlds unstable and so here you are! Let me help you with a few things.
1. The world is inhabited by digimon, one of which will be your partner. This partner will start out as a rookie, but will eventually become able to digivolve. As for how long that can last at a time, well that depends entirely on how strong your bond is.
2. The levels of progression are rookie to champion to ultimate to mega to the very rare super ultimate/ burst mode. Each progression makes a considerable leap in power, though digimon that are tough enough can handle those on another level. This becomes far less likely the more of a gap in the evolutionary line there is. For example: a champion that is extremely powerful could, if they are very smart, beat an ultimate that wasn't so strong. However, a champion against a mega would be an almost guaranteed beat down.
3. There are four types of digimon, the first three are relatively equal in power: data, virus, and vaccine. However, there exists a fourth type which digimon of that type are typically much stronger than your usual run-of-the-mill digimon, these are unknown types. Expect them to be super strong. Also, when making your character sheet, at the end of it put initialize.
4.It's a harsh world, a VERY harsh world. You will have to rely on others to survive.
