Arc 1: Welcome to the Conception
It was a nice Saturday afternoon in Tokyo. Akira Satou was planning to head to the batting cages to just hit baseballs for fun. He was not on the baseball team or anything, he just wanted to hit baseballs because he had nothing better to do today. Akira started to cross the street and headed towards the Yougen-Jaya district. The warm air felt nice to Akira and reminded him of Tsurui, he missed living there but being in Tokyo gave him more opportunities. He could pursue his dreams of being a Mangaka and getting published in Shonen Jump. Akira had left behind everything to go to Tokyo and try out for an assistant position for a Mangaka. He was hoping that he would be an assistant for Aoki-sensei who created Shark, which was a popular manga around the world. Akira also was hoping to start his own Manga series sometime in the next year and get it out of his mind.
Yougen-Jaya was a little bit quieter compared to other areas of Tokyo, which was nice. Akira hated the noise pollution and the crowdedness, always having to worry about hitting someone in the jaw from being too close. The young man made his way across the alleyway to the batting cages, passing some people on the way. There were some old timers and middle-aged people hanging around. They seemed to be chatting about some recent thing that happened that Akira did not hear. He stopped to listen to them.
"Did you hear what happened at Yoyogi Park?" An old timer asked his buddy who shook his head. The old timer gasped, surprised that his buddy did not hear about what happened with this strange cult calling themselves the Eye of Gagea. Their leader Hikari Endou led a sermon about the Genesis of the new world, which was stopped by the police of course. The old time wasted no time telling his buddy about what happened. The other was shocked as well and the two started to worry and continue to chat about it.
Akira went wide eyed as he listened to their conversation. He then kept walking and processed the information he heard. It sounded like this cult was going to try to do something awful or was predicting something that was going to happen. Akira did not know which one was worse. But it might just be a cult being a cult and predicting something that will never happen. It could be a hoax, and everyone would laugh about it in a few weeks.
