Haylia Vale wrapped her cloak tighter as a dangerous wind blew. She was traversing the rocky outer layer of the island of Vale in the middle of the night. Far off in the distance, Haylia saw a dim light bobbing among the ocean waves.
That must be him... the transporter...
Seeing that the light was still far away, Haylia relaxed her pace when jumping from rock to rock. She was excited and scared at the same time. The reason Haylia was out so late was that she was escaping. Even though she was part of the royal family of Vale, her circumstances have caused her to realize that she could either stay and die alive, or leave and live a true life.
When the light approached a rocky outcropping, Haylia saw a man driving the boat, who urgently beckoned her to jump on. However, right before she was, a ball of fire smashed into the boat and incinerated the sailor as well.
Shocked, Haylia turned and leapt as a smaller fireball scorched the rock she was standing on moments before.
"Where do you think you are going... Haylia?"

Wandering the busy streets of the island of Vale's port town Harone, Haylia browsed through the various vendors with mild interest. However, upon reaching the edge of the market, she saw a flashy sign advertising the demonstration of exotic creatures from lands far away. Intrigued, Haylia followed the signs wondering what else is out there the world.
