(TheOffice!AU) Castiel had started working as a receptionist at POS Corp November of last year. And that was when he’d met the most beautiful, infuriating asshole in the entire world. His name was Dean Winchester, and he worked in the sales department, and sat about fifteen feet away from Castiel. He was arrogant, cocky, and amazing at his job. He had the highest sales record in the company and he would always look at Cas from under these dark lashes with his big green eyes, and Cas got this stupid squirming feeling in his stomach. Whenever Dean came over and asked him to make copies, he couldn’t tell if the other man was flirting with him, or being an asshole. And the worst part was that Castiel kind of hoped he was flirting. He’d felt guilty about that at first because when Cas started working at POS, he was engaged to a man named Brian. They’d been highschool sweethearts, gone to prom together and everything. Cas was set to get married… but then a couple of days before the wedding, he got cold feet and called it off. That was three months ago. He was living in an apartment now by himself, and he found that in the last few months without Brian, he’d realized it had never been right. Obviously his dream wasn’t to be a receptionist, and since he started living on his own, he’d started working on his art, and even thought about going back to school. But for now he was stuck here, answering phones and putting out bowls of jellybeans for the rest of the office. Today was just like any other Friday, Cas doodled and waited for the phone to ring and when it did he’d say, ‘POS, this is Cas… please hold while I transfer you...’ and that was pretty much it until about twelve when Dean strolled over to his desk, resting his elbows on the wood and looking down at him. “What do you want, Dean?” he asked, pushing his glasses up his nose.
