Please note that a couple of these may cover material that is a bit sensitive. All poems will be in spoilers, and if needed will have appropriate warnings.

Poems
Type: Ekphrastic.

Alone

I behold my previous dwelling

Fingers spread out upon the turf

Grass puncturing my elementary gown

The construct in the distance

It drifts elsewhere from me

Atop the bluff

Torment

Type: Villanelle

The melting glass slipper, threaded through blood

The sun is an enemy, cue the sick

Pain rocketing through my body, flash flood

My stomach is hallow, empty, sound thud

Every night I suffer with needle prick

The melting glass slipper, threaded through blood

It's torture lying in bed, hush in cold blood

Filled with vomiting and midnight kick

Pain rocketing through my body, flash flood

I'm frustrated, I dream of bright rose buds

There are sores on hips, devil's walking stick

The melting glass slipper, threaded through blood

At times, I can't breath, can't drink, drying mud

All I can do is wait, too weak to crick

Pain rocketing through my body, flash flood

Embarrassment, scarring words, denial like mud

Rash brandishing like a lit candle wick

The melting glass slipper, threaded through blood

Pain rocketing through my body, flash flood

Type: Freeform

Another day, they say, won't hurt at all

But the pile of letters, it's gotten tall

Light from the windshield

A hidden front

Danger

But they pay no mind

All lost in their own worlds

Distractions

Of their own thoughts

Type: A Play With Words {{Tilted, Steel, Tentative}}

A titled bar of steel

Walked by a man.

Legs stiff, walk forced.

High.

So high up.

A wind taunted him,

His sorrows peeked from his eyes.

Sadness.

The steel beam shook.

His knees locked.

Suddenly,

He was tilted,

His neck askew.

Plummet.

He lacked the bullet in his chest

To call himself a victim.

Instead,

His grave was filled with cowardice.
