Alcohol hallucinosis is a rather uncommon alcohol-induced psychotic disorder only being seen in chronic alcoholics who have many consecutive years of severe and heavy drinking during their lifetime. Alcoholic hallucinosis develops about 12 to 24 hours after the heavy drinking stops suddenly, and can last for days. It involves auditory and visual hallucinations, most commonly accusatory or threatening voices.
Causes
The cause of alcoholic hallucinosis is unclear. It seems to be highly related to the presence of dopamine (the hormone released in your brain that makes you happy) in the limbic system with the possibility of other systems. There are many symptoms that could possibly occur before the hallucinations begin. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, irritability, insomnia, and indisposition. Typically, alcoholic hallucinosis has a sudden onset.
Treatments
In general, alcohol abusers with withdrawal symptoms, such as alcoholic hallucinosis, have a deficiency of several vitamins and minerals and their bodies. All birth control has a failure rate. That is how Derek came into the world. Through a night of torture emerged a life. Even though he was a mistake, Dalilah Was determined to keep this child safe. To keep her family safe.
Derek was a kind child, able to take care in making his sisters feel cared for. Make them feel safe even when Charles was raging. Even when his older sister was drugged and passed out. Even when his mother told them that it was okay, he knew it wasnt.

Derek developed depression early on into his preteen years. This wasn't just due to the fact of his fsther’s torture hold on the family but because soon after his tenth birthday his father would be his only family.

He waited, watching the television in the Student lounge. He distinctly remembers not being able to find the remote to change the channel off of the local news. This is how he found out. How he saw the car pile up. His family was dead. He was alone with his father in this world.
His depression was moderate. It came with it's own challenges.
Derek was twelve when the had his first full beer. With his fathers constant drunken state it was more prevelent of a substance in the house than water. The beer changed the small boy. It left him craving more of the numb feeling it gave him.
Drinking is a gateway of sorts. A gateway to try new things. Other things. Smoke and nicotine tar filled his lungs before his sixteenth birthday.
