The year is 2014, and the setting is Earth. Though here, you will be able to see all sides of it...
These sides are called planes, and there are three. There is the Overland, home of Angels. Earth, home of humans, and the Underland, home of Demons and fallen Angels.
This story focuses on 10 characters, though before we delve into that, we should see some history on the three planes. Shall we?
Overland
Overland is ruled by a woman named Lyra. She is only ever seen by the Arch Angels and the occasional high offender of Angel Law. Most of the time, she allows the Arches to tear off the wings of the lawbreakers, but sometimes she must do it herself.
There is an order of power in the Overland, starting with Lyra. After her, there is the Arch Angels, the Guardian Angels, Angels, and finally Cherubim. As for the Fallen, they are cast out of Overland, sent to Earth, for as soon as their wings are ripped out of their back, they are controlled by Weyn, ruler of the Underland.
Earth is exactly the same, including the fact that Humans, for the most part, have no idea what they're talking about.
Underland
As previously stated, the ruler of Underland is called Weyn. Unlike her sister, Lyra, she is never seen by anyone, even the Demons, who are the descendants of her children. Only the Fire Demon, who is her right hand, as he or she is the most powerful of all the demons, has even heard her voice.
Also like the Overland, there is a Heiarchy of power, also beginning with Weyn. The order of the Demons is of course, Fire, Earth, Earth, Water, Air, Blood, Metal, Dark, and Light. After the Demons is the Fallen.
One thing that is unlike Overland is the Demons traditions of marriage. The matches are supposed to be Fire and Earth, Air and Water, Blood and Metal. Each pairing produces two children, and Dark and Light are always Twins.
