Demon's Rage

"Come on," He simply said, running down the hallway through all the screaming kids and confused teachers. He turned the corner and headed into the doorway of the classroom where the first students came from. He stood there and instantly froze, his eyes widened as he looked into the room.

A dog like creature with dark, slimy skin crouched over the deceased body of a male teacher, the creature was tearing flesh from the corpse and eating it, making inhuman noises. The creature had stings of flesh hanging from it and blood dripping from it. Otto grimaced

(You can thank the author Darren Shan for this graphic detail xD )

"Okay" She ran after him and was close behind him as she ran around the corner, stopping and looking in the classroom. her eyes opened wide at the site, her mouth dropping open. "B-but" She growled and pulled out her sword, getting it ready.

(Oh lord I love it xD )

The creature payed no attention to them whatsoever. Otto stepped away from the door and to the side, he looked at Aradia, "Since when did you have a sword? And how haven't you had it confiscated?" He asked, very confused. He shook his head, "I'm getting the hell out of here," he said, turning, it seemed most of the students and teachers had left the building

"Since I was young, and I keep it hidden well..." She sighed and kept her stance, but looking over at him.

"Oh, so your gonna leave me? Thats fine" She took in her surroundings and looked back forward to the monster, who was devouring the teacher completely. She grimaced and waited till Otto left to go at it.

"I need to see if my mother is okay!" He yelled, then left the building, he ran past the groups of kids and teachers on the parking lot and into the city, where he sprinted as fast as he could. He didn't see any more of the monsters on his way back home

"Okay okay calm down" She watched him leave and turned back to face the monster. She charged at it, holding the sword while pointing it at the monster. It moved out of the way swiftly and she growled, moving back a little bit and staring at it.

Otto slowed to a walk outside his house, walking into his home. His mother showed her head from the door to the kitchen, she frowned, "Otto?" She asked as she came down the hallway, "Shouldn't you be at school?"

Otto sighed in relief, he didn't know what he got so worked up about, "Some weird creature thing broke in, it..." He paused and took a breath, "It killed a teacher," he said.

A bright red rectangular light appeared in the middle of the air behind his mother, however he couldn't see it. All of a sudden, his mother gasped and let out a bloodcurdling scream, a fleshy blade had penetrated right through her chest and it twisted, blood poured from the new hole in her chest. Otto started to breathe heavily, his eyes tearing up, "No..." He mumbled as he watched his mother fall limp on the ground in front of him... Dead

The dog like creature ran at her, and she held her sword ready.

It snapped at her arm, causing her to have a fresh bite mark on it. She growled and lunged her sword at the shadow, stabbing it in the heart.

It fell limp and she sighed, putting her sword away.

She bent over and picked the dog's corpse up, slinging it over her shoulder and begging to walk out.

The girl walked out of the school and began to travel to Otto's house, going to tell him the good news.

Otto fell to his knees, watching as his mother's blood spreads out on the ground below her. A demonic laugh suddenly bursts out.

"Otto, Otto, Otto, why so sad?" A deep voice with a gurgle said, Otto slowly looked up, tears in his eyes. He saw a pale red creature that didn't have any legs, only strips of flesh and it hovered above the ground, however it had six, long skinny arms, a hole filled with maggots where the heart should be, a terribly wide grin and bright red eyes.

"Come now, surely you love sorrow? I feed off it" the thing gargled, "I'll be leaving now, my work here is done... My name, for the record, is Mephisto, Demon Master," the thing retreated through the rectangular light and it disappeared. Otto slouched, "Demons..." He muttered under his breath, "They exist?"

Aradia walked along to Otto's house, with the beast still slung over her shoulder.

She thought about what happened at the school, and wondered why. 'Why did it target us? Why did it even come in the first place?' she thought to herself and walked along slowly, turning the corner and going to Otto's door. She knocked and heard, someone, something, talking to Otto and saying strange things. She opened the door and peeked in slowly, her eyes opening and her mouth dropping. She was speechless.

Otto closed his eyes and stood, rage building up inside his mind. "I'm leaving, I'm loving up in the mountains," he growled, turning, he pushed past Aradia and headed off down the street towards the forest, with the gigantic mountains behind the forest. His mother had just been killed, he has nowhere to live now, so he would go up into the mountains and make his own living by hunting for food down in the forest. He scowled as he walked

She watched him sadly, feeling his grief as his mother and her had gotten along. "B-but..." She turned on her heels and watched him walk away before rushing after him. "O-otto! Hold on!" She ran a little faster to catch up with him. She felt sorry for him, feeling tears brim in his eyes as she was very close friends with the boy. Aradia followed Otto like a puppy, not wanting him to leave her.

Otto stopped in his tracks and looked down at the ground, standing completely still, "What?" He mumbled, turning his head slightly so he can see behind him just enough to see Aradia in his peripheral vision, he stared at the ground, his body filled with rage and sorrow

She continued to run up to him, tears beginning to fall as she saw her friend so sad and distraught. She had never seen him like this before and had a hard time standing it. She hated to see her friends upset. She finally caught up to him and rushed into his arms, wrapping hers around his stomach and holding him in a tight embrace. "I-im sorry..."

Otto sighed and placed a hand over hers, "There's nothing you could have done..." He said plainly, looking at the ground I'm front of him, "I couldn't do anything myself..." He whispered

Tears began to fall at a more heavy rate as she placed her head on his back. "I-im sure I could h-have at least d-done something" She whispered, feeling terrible.

"Could've, would've, should've, it's done now, it can't be changed," he said plainly, sighing and looking at the ground, "I'm going to the mountains, follow me if you want to come,"

"Hmm..y-yes quite true, very true" She sighed and let go of him, walking to his side. "I will come, I'm not leaving you out there all alone, and anyway, I would miss you too much" She looked at the ground.

He turned to look at her and sighed, "I'll be fine I just..." He trailed off, "Need time," he mumbled, turning away and starting towards the mountains

She continued to look down at the ground. "Thats completely understandable..." She walked next to him towards the mountains, while looking at the ground.

(Sorry, notifications are playing up :( )

They had reached the forest after a while, it was getting dark. Otto sighed, "Do you know anything about those things?" Otto asked Aradia

(its fine, no need to worry >:3)

She stayed close to him the whole way, feeling like she needed to be near him all the time. She wasnt quite sure why she felt that way, but she just did.

"No..not really, unfortunately" She replied.

Otto thought for a second, then sighed, "Well you really knew how to deal with it back there, plus you randomly have a sword," he said, a frown on his face

(I'm thinking of making an RP where you play as whatever gods or goddesses you want, thoughts? :) )

(Ooooh sounds good! >:3)

She looked over at him "Yeah I guess you have a point, but I only know how to fight, I don't know anything about demons or the supernatural" She sighed.

Otto shrugged. The sun was falling behind the mountains, "we should stop somewhere," he said, looking around
