Fantasy Demons And Angels

All of the demons and angels were going to meet for the first time in the middle of a churchyard in heaven. Michael and Lucifer had already arrived and were arguing. Slowly the demons and angels filtered in.

Dina slowly walked into the churchyard. She was secretly glad that she did not have to go the Hell for this meeting, but she would of if it was the will of her Lord. She was early for the meeting, and so sat on one of the marble benches in the yard and waited for the rest of the group. She hummed quietly while listening to the loud arguing of Michael and Lucifer.

Metatron was not one to interact with demons, or even other angels. her role was like that of her brothers and sisters to attend to the divine exclusively and to make its will known to the havens , earth and even hell. Still the divine had long sense moved away from governance of any of the realms meaning the Seraphim had vanished with it and others had taken the role of leader of heaven, its children ruled the realms it had made all as it wished. Metatron had seen as the divine did and saw its plan and knew that she would always be bound to its will and this was its will.

Long ago the Seraphim had been the highest order of angel and had they not all gone with the divine on its exodus she was sure one would have ascended to rule the heavens, most likely her as she had often acted as its voice to those who could not stand to hear the divine's voice in person. Many would see that as the greatest glory but Metatron sometimes wondered they did not know the divine as the Seraphim did and she had seen behind the light and what she saw scared even now.

Still this was the divines will no matter what the divine might be she was bound to do as it willing. The long cast out demons would be brought to heel, not that they were ever out of control all things in the end bowed to the divines will even if they did not know it. That was something the seraphim saw something that made her feel sorry for the demons and humans and sometimes even other angels it was all according to plan.

The meeting would be held in heaven and the wayward children would be allowed once more into their forsaken home a banishment that had lasted for all of time was to be lifted and the will of the divine seemingly changed by the choices of a mere archangel, but much had changed the sphere of order were no longer present and the dominions and choirs no longer internally sung without the divine there was no one to sing to.

Metatron saw the archangel arguing with Lucifer the morning star most favored, and most hated by the divine. She had the greatest pity for him for he had thought to do as he willed but in the end the divine had planned for that and he was banished.

Even here Metatron did not touch the ground instead floating over it her wings not needing to beat to lift her has her clothes flowed with a life all their own . " You should be calm brothers this is a joyous occasion for the divines will is being fulfill" She said to the archangel and the fallen one her voice a thing of beauty as was fitting the mouth of the divine, her demeanor clam as if she were a tech amused by the efforts of children.

Anthem stood near the back with his head down, keeping away from the demons and keeping a straight face. His gaze remained focused on the ground and his expression was indifferent. Although his default expression was usually a gentle one, there was no warmth in his eyes and instead, remnants of unhappiness; Anthem did not enjoy the demons company. It would be a lie to say they didn't frighten him. Anthem was an angel of softer feathers if you know what I mean. His job was not to battle for heaven nor to protect but instead to deliver souls lost on earth to Heavens gates. Or at least, the pure and deserving souls.

In Heaven, Anthem was known among the angels as one of the gentlest of his kind. An angel needed a lot of patience to work as a guide for the deceased. More often than not, the spirits were disoriented and confused. They needed positive encouragement and kind words to lead them on. Sometimes they would even make requests they felt must be made before they crossed over. Anthem could remember a time when an old woman who'd died of heart failure in a hospital bed, wanted to give her daughter a sign that she had loved her and forgave. Apparently the woman and her daughter were not on good terms with each other in the end. Anthem sent the girl a sign in the form of yellow flower. When the two were younger, if one of them would make a mistake or upset the other, they would give them a yellow flower to show an apology. He had done such things and been in his line of work since the beginning of time.

Needless to say none of those things helped him now in the presence of dark entities. He was frightened yes, but he remained strong. If He had insisted they come to this meeting, then Anthem would keep his faith in Him as he had always done. Anthem was still but his quivering wings might have given him away. The cream colored feathers shivered in their place though it could be mistaken for a strong breeze or movement. He hoped it would be so because Anthem did not want to appear weak in front of these lesser spirits.

Anthem watched his kind mingle with their kind and it all made him very uncomfortable. Why was a messenger of the fallen here anyway? Because he was head of his divination and spoke for them. Not to mention Anthem never grew angry and was good at putting others at ease. A few of his sugary sweet words and everyone would be back to cooperating. That did not mean he wanted to be here. Micheal was his brother, together they were one of a handful of original angels. Everyone knew names like Gabriel and Micheal, but nobody knew the name Anthem and he did not really mind so much. Except more often times than not, his brothers enjoyed laying stress on his shoulders, teased him for his weaker nature, and brought him to places he wished he didn't have to be. Would you believe all of this was done gracefully too? Angels were the most graceful creatures, even the bullies were beautiful.

Alice walked into the churchyard. There were already three angels, lucifer, and Michael already there. She sat on the Marble bench next to an Angel. The male angel there Alice guessed was her future husband. He had light hair and white wings. Overall she though he looked somewhat attractive. She was not paying much attention to the other angels as she was not going to be involved with them as much as she was with the male Angel. She sat on a bench and waited for everyone else to arrive.

Dina glanced at the daemon next to her, then turned her gaze away. Her future husband had not arrived yet. She was beginning to get anxious, which was unusual for her.

Ryan grins, walking into the area as if he owns it, which is slightly ridiculous, considering he's a demon in a churchyard in heaven. Regardless, he feels completely comfortable, and seems very over confident. He looks around for a moment, taking in what is happening around him, before heading over to where Lucifer and that annoying other one, m something, Michael, are arguing with an angel trying to stop them. She is probably the angel he's paired with. Or at least she could be. He might as well mess with her anyway.

Ryan flies behind her silently, ending up just as high as her, even though he's slightly shorter. He announces his presence by wrapping his arms around her stomach, and resting his head on her shoulder. Looking slightly left, so that he's facing her, Ryan kisses her on the cheek, before returning to looking forward, saying nothing.

How quickly can you corrupt an angel? That's what he's going to figure out this week. Or at least that's the plan. Can you even corrupt an angel? Another thing he plans on figuring out. Both should be fun. Maybe the angel will complain about him. That would be amusing.

Metatron felt the demon come to her and she could most likely throw him off, but it was pointless to do so. It was almost funny but she didn't show much response even to the kiss. She couldn't see the future but really what was a hug and a kiss they were to be married or at least she was to marry a demon. Besides there was nothing wrong with a little teasing there was no corruption no darkness all was planned all the players ignorant of the parts they played.

Metatron moved away from the arguing pair and to the demon " If you are going to kiss someone you should at least give your name" She said not sounding mad as she was not despite her wording.

"Should I?" Ryan asks teasingly. "I hadn't realised." The angel doesn't seem at all annoyed at him, which is boring. He was hoping for some sort of reaction. He doesn't look over to where Lucius and Michael are, but imagines they probably don't care. Instead of offering his name, Ryan just lowers himself to the floor, preferring to walk than to fly, it's much less effort. He waits for a reply from the angel.

" Unless you fear me using your name to have power over you yes it is and if you fear that you should not have come here" She said in a rather matter of fact way still not sounding annoyed as she was not, this demon reminded her of a child trying to annoy their parent or teacher, a very human thing. She did wonder why he would be reluctant he was to wed one of the angels so he could get familiar with them at the very least if this was to be successful as the divine planned.

" As a sign of trust i am Metatron the voice of the divine first of the seraphim" She said including some of her titles for effect she wasn't above some pride as it was a proud pride with understanding she was such though the divines will.

Ryan wonders why she added so many things on the end of her name. It seems unnecessary. And she seems so formal, which is just boring. Are all angels like that, annoyingly formal? He hopes not, especially if he's going to have to spend some time up here.

Deciding that he might as well answer, he says "I'm Ryan." Before adding on just because he wants an answer, "Are all angels so boring and formal?" He doesn't care about insulting the angel, although by what he's seen so far he's not sure that's possible.

" That depends on the angel and i rather like the titles adds a bit of awe to the name" She said sounding less up tight though no where near annoyed " But see isn't it better to know another's name when you talk to another especially when you may be paired to them because of the divines will?" She said less asking a real question than once again stating fact she was not a very casual being as her existence was that of formality and proclamation.

"I don't see the importance of names." Ryan states offhandedly. It really isn't important to know the name of someone. He forgets names easily anyway. "And the titles just seem unnecessary. Don't you all value humility? Pride is a sin and all that." Ryan asks this mockingly, wanting to know what the angle will reply. Pride is a sin, one that he knows he's guilty of, but he suspects the angel will be insulted by the suggestion she would sin.

" Sin is subjective, not objective the key is control all things can be used if moderated it is when taken to excess or when not wanted that something becomes a sin" Metatron explained " even humility could be a sin if you take it to far i know my station and i know when to be proud and when to be humble " She explained bringing in one of her odd lessons from being around the divine as even its morality was very subjective to its whims of the day and no other being truly encompassed pride as much as it did yet all was its plan so in a way there was no true sin " So no pride is not completely a sin and names are important for every names holds powers and meaning to know a name is to know the one it belongs to"

"If you keep lecturing me I will not be impressed." Ryan states, before turning to walk over to the other two angels, and the one demon with them. He really can't be bothered with all of this holier than thou talk, even if he is talking to an angel and it is to be expected.

As usual Arion arrived a little bit late. Everyone else including Lucifer and Michael were already there. He saw two female angels there. He guessed that he was going to be marrying the normal angel, not the Seraphin. He walked up to her."Hello, my love."He said. He was really hoping this was the angel he was marrying, as in his opinion she was gorgeous. It would also be awkward if this was not the angel he was marrying."I am Arion."He said.

Dina looked up at the demon who had addressed her. "Hello," she replied. "My name is Dina." She gave him a once over, analyzing this creature that was most likely who she be marrying. He was attractive enough, but as an angel of the Lord, she felt no mortal lust. His dark black wings were bigger then hers, which meant he was higher up in the ranks of Lucifer than she was in Michael's.

"Dina...A beautiful name to fit a beautiful Angel."Arion said. "I am guessing you will be the Angel I am marrying?"He guessed.

Narrator

Lucifer and Michael stopped arguing."Okay everyone" Michael Shouted. "We have gathered here today to end the war that has been going on for centuries between heaven and hell. As you already know you have been matched with someone of the opposite gender and race. Dina is with Arion, Ryan is with Metatron and Anthem is with Alice. All of the brides will move to the groom's dimension. You will have one week to get to know each other before you get married."

Anthem's jaw dropped when he heard the news. He was to marry? Him? And a demon? Perhaps it was a mistake maybe? Anthem had found it suspicious when he was dragged her since this really was no place for him and now he was being married off. Though he knew there was nothing he could do about it now. If it was His will, then Anthem should only follow it without question. But the angel did have a lot of questions, all which could never be asked and only smothered deep inside him. Running his fingers through his pale hair with a sigh, he had on a marble bench next to him, one that a female demon already inhabited. Alice, who is this Alice... Deciding it better to ask one of their species, he turned his sheepish blue eyed gaze on the demon beside him. "Do you know who Alice might be?"

So she had already met the demon she was to marry that was a fortunate happening that may or may not have been the divines plan. Still the husband to be was lacking in some respects namely in conversational skills, though at least his attitude was entertaining and he was not completely lacking in looks. So in short the groom would do though going to hell seemed a bit pointless earth to her more sense to her but the plan was the plan and to see the souls pointlessly punished might be interesting.

Metatron floated over to Ryan " It looks as though the divines sense of humor is in full effect for you she said with a smile

Alice looked at her clothes to make sure they were in check. She was wearing her best clothes, a black dress with red laces on the front. She had red heels on. First impressions. Alice though. Alice was a perfectionist when it came to her looks. Since there were only one angel groom she knew who to look for. She walked over to Anthem."Hello Anthem" She said softly.

Mortimer took this time to burst into the courtyard, suddenly appearing in a blast of sand. "Good heavens! Am I late for the introductions?! Good gracious! I'll never hear the end of it." He walked swiftly over to Michael and Lucifer despite his old seeming age, robes and beard flying around him. Before they could reply, Morty whirled around, disturbing the crow on his shoulder. He examined the to be weds. "Hmm. Well, my, my. What a strange crowd. Any objections to the decision of your leaders? Too bad. I'm very sorry, but you'll have to play along." He said cheerily. "Now, I know all of you but you don't know me though you know of me. I am the keeper of Time. Harbinger of life, death; beginnings, and ends. Now, will you be gracious and introduce yourselves? I don't know you all."

The crow then whispered in his ear. Morty grunted and huffed. "My mistake. I do know you all. I am the overseer to these three unions, making sure that...a...um..."

The crow whispered again and Morty picked right off where he left, "Ahah! Yes, I'm here for safety and guidance reasons." He beamed, eyes wrinkling at the corners even more so.
