Introduction

~~~~~~~~~~
You live within a quiet little town located at the coast of America. Though this town is in a popular location, it goes mostly unnoticed as it's a pretty normal place without many attractions other than a nearby beach, though most people go elsewhere if they wish to have a beach day. This being a small town without much going on, children and adults alike love to make up little scary stories over places that seem even the slightest bit ominous, and much of the time the inhabitants believe it for what other excitement could they find in such a close, crime free town?
It's currently in the fall season, towards the middle of October and of course with Halloween coming up many people are rather excited and already within the scary hype, and you being within a high school find yourself surrounded by much of it, your friends have even decided to dare you to spend a night within one of the town's scariest houses. It's large, and decaying quickly, so many people claim it to be haunted do to a slightly ominous appearance. You didn't think much of it, though it seems that tonight is the night that you will be staying, and as such you entered the house by your lonesome. Much of the night passed without incident, though as twelve o'clock came you found yourself hearing noises from the story above you... creaking and soon, you began to hear what sounded like voices, one angered and the other somewhat silent.... you can hear chains, though just as you were about to go an investigate you came to hear a couple cries of pain... What do you do?
~~~~~~~~~~

Basic Plot

~~~~~~~~~~
Upon discovering the source of the noise, whether you head upstairs as the events proceed or if you chose to investigate after the noises cease, you find yourself in the company of an odd man. Chained to the stone wall behind him, he doesn't seem to be in the best shape as you can easily pick out wounds and blood upon his clothing. Upon exploring further, you find him to be a demon who disobeyed his lord in the under-realm, rebelling agents one of his plots. As a result he is kept here, weakened and out of his lord's hair, will you aid him or simply allow him to suffer here?
Name: Henska
Description: The town of Henska holds a cubic structure to it, many things being connected in more than one day. Towards the center of the town lies a town plaza which unlike its surroundings, has a circular structure to it before dividing into four separate roads. The plaza holds many things within it including shops, a creamery, a couple small restaurants, and a library. The school is located down the south road connected to the plaza and atop a small hill that overlooks much of this town. It holds an older look made from dark bricks and holding many windows that line both the classrooms and the corridors. Around the town many other things can be located for this town truly does have all it needs. Yet still, it isn't to popular of a place due to having a dull and plain history.
This is a tall building made from both stone and wood. Upon entering you are greeted by a large and shaky stair well decorated by a musky carpet holding a stained shade of red and golden linings. The floor below is full of hole that display the stone basement below, as it is made from an old and weak wood which seemed to be in the process of being eaten away. To the left lies a long torn hallway featuring many torn paintings and a rugged carpet, while to the right the same scene is displayed. The left hall leads to an old dinning hall and eatery, as well as an office and library. The right leads to a sitting room, bathroom, and a few blank rooms full of odd items. Upstairs you find another corridor that divides into three, most leading to old bedrooms yet oddly one is made from pure stone supported by an outer wall of bricks. It holds no windows and the door is normally firmly shut. The basement is empty for the most parts, though what it truly holds has yet to be discovered.
Within his small room, Cyprus was sitting silently. He could still feel pains throughout his body from previous events, his rate of healing had slowed recently and he assumed it was probably do to the condition of his body seeing as it had been strained quite a bit over the past month. His blue eyes drifted in front of him where he could easily make out the shape of a smaller demon, an imp of sorts though already Cyprus knew the small creature could inflict damage when armed properly, as always he had with him the small case he cared always that contained multiple torture based weapons. His lord truly did wish the traitor to suffer, this treatment was something he had been undergoing for quite a while now and already he was used to the events at hand. He sighed quietly, looking to the imp, "Hurry up, you don't need to stare at me for hours..." The imp was clearly not in a good mood today as he sent a glare at Cyprus. "Don't order me around, traitor!" The imp growled in annoyance.
Aoi was already inside the house that her friends dared her to go into she heard all sorts of stories about this place but none seem to be true which she was upset about she always wanted to see a ghost or some other unique being of sorts which were in her stories about this place but none seem to be here. She headed for what looked like a sitting room where they was a chair and it was covered in dust but with nowhere else to sit but the floor she wiped some of the dust off and sat in it. She was very bored and lonely much as she expected she would be with no one behind but she wasn't just going to not do they dare just because of that. She began to hum a simple old sea song she knew which came to mind that her dad taught her.
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
The King and his men stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her bones
The seas be ours and by the powers
Where we will...we'll roam
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never say we die
Some men have died and some are alive
And others sail on the sea
With the keys to the cage
And the devil to pay
We lay to Fiddler's Green!
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
The bell has been raised from its watery grave
Do you hear its sepulchral tone?
A Call to all, pay heed to the squall
And turn your sail towards home!
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
Upstairs, the imp seemed to fail to notice the faint humming of another, though the noise wouldn't truly be detectable without ears such as Cyprus's. For a moment he was a little confused, thinking for a moment it could have just been something created in his mind, but the melody proved otherwise. The imp was annoyed at Cyprus's averted eyes, and soon it was opening it's case. Cyprus knew of this do the the small clicking and the tiny thud created as the imp put the case down, but he was more interested in this mysterious humming than he was the case. A moment passed as the imp made his selection, pulling out first a tiny key, where he took an oddly colored blade into his other hand. Approaching Cyprus, his eyes were finally drawn to the tiny creature as a sharp pain entered the area above his collar bone where the Imp had decided to place the knife, until oddly the pain began to worsen. Cyprus knew this was sure to a common poison the imp loved to use, and his thoughts where pulled away from the humming as a couple pained noised left him.
Aoi stopped humming upon hearing what sound like a noise of pain. She imminently stood up and smiled. "maybe they is a ghost or something here after all." She muttered fast walking into and out of most of the downstairs room which she had checked before when she first entered the building. "Aw still nothing." Aoi said aloud as she turned and saw a staircase the same one she saw when she first entered the building but she was too scared to go up at first but now after being there for a few hours she headed up them silently. As she reached the top she saw a corridor that divides into three so she headed down it she could open two of the three doors which both lead to old bedrooms but the third door she couldn't open it was also a strange door made out of pure stone and supported by what looked like a outer wall of bricks. She got more and more interested in the one door until the point where she just sat on the floor looking at it as in hoping it would just open.
The imp let it's grip release on the knife as it began looking about, simply letting the pain increase and spread throughout the pained demon behind him, who had begun to shift in hopes to suppress the pains causing his chains to clank and bump the wall with metallic thuds. The humming had stopped, no long could Cyprus locate it and even though it was something small it would be a distraction, while at current he had little to distract himself with. The imp had left the key near Cyprus without much thought over it as he reached down into his case once more, though he wasn't scared of losing it and getting locked in for after all a backup key was placed atop the door in a crack, one that could be reached from either side of the stone door. From his case the Imp took out yet another blade before approaching the struggling demon, grinning lightly as he began to make a cut just under the demon's neck in a taunting manner, though he knew harming that area would be harmless as he wasn't cutting far enough to do any real damage, though it did inflict further pain upon Cyprus, causing his suppressed noises to grow a bit.
Aoi continued to hear noises which were louder meaning she was nearby were whatever is going on is going on. The sounds of metal hitting things and the noises of pain scared her a little but her adventurous side said she must find out whats going on. She she stood back up and cleaned herself off a bit since the dust on the floor was over her clothing, She headed closer to the door and placed and ear on it to see what she could hear. The noises were definitely coming from in there but how to get in there was a mystery to her but they was one thing she could try and do which he did. She walked to the door and was now at arms length.... she hesitated for a moment but then she quickly knocked on the door. "Hello~." She said in a rather cheerful energetic tone of voice as she intensely watched the door to see if it even slightly moved.
The imp froze as he heard the voice of someone else, someone he did not recognize and immediately he knew he had to quiet down the noisy demon. He looked around him, pulling the the knife inserted into the skin under the demon's neck. Cyprus glanced towards the door as he heard a voice, it didn't sound like a demon... though in pain he knew this might be his chance for escape, ignoring the imp searching the case in front of him. "U...Upper door, it has a crack!" He said, forcing the pain out of his voice to the best of his ability, the imp knew this was urgent, and soon he found the item he required: A rag, soaked in sedatives. "The spare key... it's there!" Cyprus managed to finish his wording before the rag was forced over his mouth, and though he tried to fight agents it he knew his body was in no shape to win this, as in only a moment his noises ceased and he found himself trapped in a deep darkness, his figure slumping agents his chains as his blue eyes where now hidden from view.
Aoi stood still shocked that she heard a voice respond and more so one that sounded in pain 'wait so it wasn't my imagination someone is really there' she thought to herself. Now what did he say upper door it has a crack. Aoi looked across the very top of the stone door for a crack, she found it and looked at it and there it was a key. "Wait so someone is really here then." She said aloud as she reached and grabbed the key stopping to look at it for a few moment. "Wait I know what this is." Aoi said sighing. "Right guys this isn't funny come out I knew its you." Aoi said thinking it was all a set up from the start by her friends who dared her here in the first place but no one came out. So out of interest Aoi put the key in the door and unlocked it. She then took a deep breath and held her arm slightly nervously as she entered the room looking down at her feet for a few steps, when she looked up she stepped back and fell to the floor in fear. They was a boy that seemed not much older than her covered in blood chained up to a wall he seemed unconscious and someone well something that seemed to be doing something to him but she didn't know what. Aoi just stayed on the floor out of fear staring at the scene she just walked into.
The imp was rather irritated now, this girl really had heard him, though the imp knew that due to his sizing he couldn't do much agents a unharmed enemy. He was a weak demon, one who normally played tricks upon people rather than kill them, he knew he was piratically helpless in this situation. He glanced to the demon behind him, he knew his lord would be displeased if he were to allow the man to get aided, but what could he do here? The imp growled quietly, looking around him for something to aid him. His knives where an an option, but they were made to harm this demon, not a human. It would bring only a regular pain to her and it wouldn't subdue her as easily as it had Cyprus. So with a defeated sigh the imp released the rag from the demon's mouth. He looked towards the wall as he saw his small escape: A hole in the wall that held his connection to the under-realm, though this hole was hidden by a simple illusion spell he knew of it's exact location. So, leaving everything behind he hoped away from the unconscious demon and made a run for the hole, dashing right through the wall and entering a secret room hidden from view.
Aoi was still scared even as the small thing left though a wall somehow which made no sense to her, She slowly stood up and walked up to the boy about her age and she took off her jacket to use it as a cloth. She then began to clean him up gently so she wouldn't hurt him she didn't know way but she felt sorry for him so she did it, when he was slightly cleaner she stopped and just looked at him for a moment. He seemed relatively taller than her with blueish hair which she found cool and very cute. She took a deep breath and looked at the chains on him, she had no idea what to do about them. She tried the key for the door which didn't work and that was all she could think of so after one try's she was out of idea's on how to get him out of them. She stopped focusing on him for a moment and looked around the room at all the disgusting things that seem to have been used for torture on the boy. She walked over to him once again. "Maybe he knows how to get out." She muttered to herself as she tried to wake the boy up gently nudging him. "Hey wake up." She said softly her deep blue eyes were fixed on the boys face to see if they were a change.
As he heard a soft voice, Cyprus stirred a bit. The sedatives weren't all to strong, though in his pained state his body was quick to give into them yet most of the painful poisons had faded by that time though if the imp where still present he was sure that he would have been re-injected with them. Yet oddly, it didn't seem that such had occurred and even in the hazy mind he had now he knew this was odd. That imp was one who enjoyed to mess with him for hours, never before had one of his visits been this short. He was used to the usual occurrence, and a even the slightest change in it was enough to notify him of an oddity. He shifted a little, hearing the familiar movement of his chains in the process to alert him that he truly wasn't out of that room yet. He wasn't in the clear yet, it seemed, though as his eyes cracked open slightly he came to see the blurred figure of someone knew. He didn't recognize her, she didn't even look demonic and it was at that point that he recalled the prior events. The voice from earlier, she must have entered the room. Yet, he could feel his vision yet again fading as he still wasn't completely free of the sedatives, lingering on the line between consciousness and unconsciousness.
Aoi just watched him for a few moments before standing up straight and stamping her left foot on the floor. "No no no this won't do wake up mister blue hair." Aoi said in a childish annoyed tone of voice as she stamped her foot once again but this time placed her hands on her waist. Looking around the room for anything that could help wake him up more but not hurt him she couldn't see anything so she decided just to talk to him she couldn't tell if he was consciousness or unconsciousness but this would be one way to find out. "So whats you're name Mister blue hair." Aoi said going back to her soft and friendly voice since the blue hair was her favorite bit about him so far she gave him the name mister blue hair for now she also did this to see what type of person he is since being called by you're hair color isn't the nicest thing and the way Aoi was using it would just worsen it so depending on how her reacts is how Aoi will treat him either way she really wanted to get the chains off him seeing others chained up is just wrong she thinks everyone has the right to be free.
He could hear the small stomps she created, and oddly it seemed she was calling him mister blue hair. He was aware his hair was blue, but he never was truly called by that name. However at his current conscious level he didn't have the mind to put much though into it so he made no complaint in the matter, though his retort might have been a bit different if he was in his right mind. With his tired eyes he took a small moment to glance at the chains imprisoning both of his wrists, moving his hand a little as to be sure they truly still trapped him, and that seemed to be the case. It wasn't a surprise, he had awoken to those chains many times in the past and by this time notable bruises could be seen upon his wrists caused by they're constant imprisonment. He looked back to the girl as she spoke yet again, and finding his name was something simple enough for him to accomplish as he was now though the trouble was making himself speak. "C..." he glanced away, attempting to force himself to better speak before he finally seemed to have fixed himself. "I'm... Cyprus..." He spoke quietly, in a voice barley above a whisper.
"It talks" Aoi said smirking looking at the boy who she now knew was Cyprus. "Cyprus what like the fruit.... Wait Cyprus is a fruit right or is it place... I don't remember." Aoi said slightly laughing awkwardly. She noticed that she didn't introduce herself. "Now were are my manners I'm Aoi Kage Nice to meet you Cyprus I find it funny how my name means blue just like you're hair." Aoi said excitedly she didn't know why but just meeting this person seemed to make her slightly hyper but now was the important matter. "So Cyprus do you have any idea how I could get those chains off you no one should be chained up like that no matter what they have done." Aoi said softly with a smile on her face as she knelt down to his height and looked into his blue eyes.
Cyprus tried to think, looking over the times he was actually allowed out of his chains in order to deal with some thing or another, much of them involving the under-realm. He could recall a certain key, one that held a dark coloring with a swirly top, yet he wouldn't know of it's location. He looked ahead a bit, peeking past the girl for a fleeting moment as he noticed the Imp had left his case behind. He let they're eyes meet once again as he spoke, still struggling to keep them open though with his active thoughts the sedatives were beginning to weaken. "The case... up ahead, it might have the key... it has a balckish coloring... a-and it has a curvy top..." He explained it the best he could, having trouble doing such yet he managed. He needed to recollect himself soon, he knew that and he truly was trying to. He didn't know that truly the key could be located within the box, yet it would still force her to gaze upon all the bloodied, uncleaned tools they would commonly use to harm him.
Aoi stood up ruffled his hair for no reason other than she felt like. She slowly walked over to the box being able to guess what she was going to see. She got to the box and shut her eyes scared to see what was inside. She slowly opened them to see all the bloody, uncleaned tools it was enough to make her retch she looked away from the box and to the boy. She pointed to the box to be sure she didn't even want to look in it anymore but if she wanted to help she would have too do more than that she would have to put her hands near it. How long was he treated like this? why was he treated like this? questions came running into her head but now was not the best time to ask if any time was a good time to ask. She turned to face the box and saw a key matching the description but the downside was that it was covered in blood and underneath about five different tools. She took a deep breath and reached in she cut her self on the tools once or twice but she got the key. She turned around and vomited slightly those were sights she was not used too. She walked back to Cyprus and showed him a blackish curvy top key hoping it was the right one. "Was it this one?" She asked quietly shaking a little thinking about what he must have been though.
He watched her as she looked through the box... she seemed rather displeased by the sight, though he knew it was probably grotesque. He knew the tools were never clean as the case hardly left this place, and often they would have it opened in a way that allowed him ease with seeing inside of it. He never did like the sigh himself, though he was someone accustom to blood, it would probably be worse for her to see than him. He felt a little bad for causing her to dig through it, though as he was now he couldn't exactly reach the box himself. He had no choice but to let her look through it. He waited, until alas she seemed to locate the key, though noticing a bit of blood upon her hands he still couldn't shake of the feeling that stuck with him. It was the key, he was sure, and hopefully she wouldn't need to see such sights for a while now that they had acquired it. "Yes... the shackle can be unlocked at it's top... beside the chain..." He explained, tilting his hand to make the keyhole visible.
Aoi smiled and rubbed her head glad she didn't need to go near that box again. She stood up and reached up to where Cyprus said the chains could be unlocked finding it quickly this was a risk even looking that weak Aoi didn't know the person he could have been anyone but she decided to trust him more out of pity than anything her mind kept flicking back to her questions and the box just how long were these same tools used on him for. She finally unlocked the shackles only to noticed that awkwardly her crotch was basically in his face during the time she was unlocking the shackles one of the many downsides to being smallish was that she can't reach much from any position but standing t. She quickly stepped back embarrassed looking at him to see if he would fall or not from the injury's.
During the process, Cyprus attempted to keep his eyes averted though it was rather hard considering how close they where. He kept his eyes to the side mostly, peering out through the corner. He felt the release on his wrist and sending sharp pains through his shoulder he moved his arm downwards and to his side, doing the same for the other after its release. He winced each time, though in his current seated position he managed to keep himself upright by leaning agents the wall behind him. He wasn't sure if he could stand as it was clear damage had been inflected upon his legs as well, though it didn't look all to recent even though the latest cut was from a week ago. Demons could heal quickly, though recently his pace was slowing. He wasn't sure if he was sick, or if he his body was just overwhelmed at current. He was near his limit, and he was surprised that he hadn't died yet, though his eyes wondered back up to Aoi. "T...thanks..." He forced himself to deliver a small smile though it was barley notable. Though it vanished the moment he tried to stand himself up, pain shooting throughout his body causing him to create a tiny grunt of pain.
Aoi saw the smile. "No problem." she replied watching him trying to stand. She walked closer to him and put his left arm over her shoulder. "I'll give you a hand I can't just leave you here looking like this If you need anything just ask while I'm around you wont need to lift a finger well maybe just a few I wont be feeding you." Aoi said as she looked at him smiling. "You wouldn't happen to knew if they is any medical supply's in the house so I can get you cleaned up do you?" Aoi then asked she wanted to help Cyprus as much as possible they have only known each other for a short period of time but she couldn't just leave him there helpless and defenseless in case that little thing came back.
He looked over to her as he felt her aid, glancing to where she now held his arm over her shoulder. Quite a bit of his weight was upon her as he was having difficulties standing though he tried to take on as much of his own weight as he could. The feeling of vulnerability was something he had grown used to, though oddly he felt a little odd being seen like this by her, but there was no helping it now. As to the question he was once again forced into thought, he had only left the room two times and he couldn't remember them all to well, though he recalled himself being fixed up once to avoid death as a bit of severe damage had been done to his throat. He didn't know why they went through the trouble of keeping him alive yet it seemed they did. "I... think they might have some in the room down the third hall... at the top of the stairs... I think it might have been the fourth or fifth door, but it's a bit hard to remember.. "
Aoi could barely hold him she wasn't the strongest person in the world and to have the weight of someone nearly one foot taller than you leaning onto you wasn't easy but she managed to keep him supported somehow. "Okay then lets head there." Aoi said as she slowly lead him towards a nearby chair and sat him down. "It would be easier if you stayed here since I can then run towards the fourth or fifth door and come back quicker but of course its up to you." Aoi said smiling softly while repeating in her head which hall and doors it was what was it about Cyprus that made Aoi just want to help him She didn't know but she does like adventuring and this adventure turned out to be a different not for the good so far either.
Being seated in the chair he forced himself to a better balance to avoid slipping of it, though luckily it seemed his mind was clearing up a bit. He looked up to her as she spoke, before nodding in response. He spoke in the same quiet voice he has been using, seeing as he couldn't truly speak all to well though his damaged and dry throat, though he knew it would heal eventually, "I'll stay... I imagine I'm rather heavy to carry about..." He knew with some treatment he could better conduct himself, and hopefully the haze that occupied his mind would vanish by that time. He might be able to walk then, though he knew he shouldn't push himself like this considering that he might be somewhat sick and his wounds would worsen, but he was a demon and he knew the damage would heal at some point.
