Deleting in Character Sheets

PyroWarriorZ

Dragon Knight
Ok, I know being able to delete posts in your own RP is saved for those who have VIP. However I was wondering would it be possible if the power to delete posts in your own RP's Character Sheets is possible or even allowed.

I think it would be useful because in Character Sheets there can be a lot of endless chatter and sometimes people post a character sheet and never return, or they leave and those sheets not only take up space, but make it harder to know which people and characters are actually in the Rp, it can also distract people from taking a role or place because they believe someone has that role taken already, when really they left and it is free and needed.

I think it would be good if we could delete posts at least in Character Sheets for our own thread and RP, because I use Character Sheets, not only my own to help see who is in the Rp and remind me of a character, but it can be annoying to have to search through three pages of nonsense, when maybe there are only 3 active characters.

So is it possible to allow authors to delete in Character Sheets or at least make these inactive characters and ooc posts hidden or inactive somehow?

I understand if this is not possible or you simply want to save it for VIP members only.

The ability to delete is strictly provided to VIPs in that entire section which includes character sheets, OOC, etc.

If you want it deleted, report the post & leave the applicable reporting message & the staff will gladly fix it for ya =)

No, I'm talking about one singular problem post. I'm just talking about the ability to help to clean up the Character Sheets threads would be useful to all. But if you feel it should be strictly for VIPs only, even that little bit. I will accept it, thanks for answering me.

No other forums allow users to delete content such as that. As "little" as it seems, it's a big advantage. This will remain a VIP only feature.

If you report a post as mentioned.... We the staff will remove it for you.

I have to agree with both sides here. But here is an alternative solution for those who do not have VIP.

1. Create an Update Titled Current Characters.

2. Copy and Paste the active cast of characters over.

3. Add a line to each character as to who the creator/owner is.

4. For inactive characters that have embedded themselves in the story you could do the same and list them as INACTIVE XX+ days, Okay to bunny (use as NPC) ... add in a warning about what happens to inactives.

If you use this method, the first thing you should do with all characters is copy them.

When you create the Update, you can hide the characters behind the spoiler tag - condensing the list if you have a lot of them.

It's a good idea and I have used it in the past, but eventually I just got tired of managing it. However it is good solution since we cannot delete. However if a Sign Up thread becomes too cluttered, I'll probably use it again and I still use a similar idea in some of my old RPs.

Another way is to rather just have a list of all current active characters, with the username in brackets and a link to which page their character sheet is on.
