Delcasta Island

Seraphina sighed in agreement. "Yes..." she trailed off. "Kallista has a streak of ignoring everything once she finds something of interest." she informed him, staring straight ahead at the old tree. She wasn't certain, but she was pretty sure that whatever Kallista had done had caused the tree to become a bit healthier.

"You got that right," Kallista told him with a grin, examining the trees. Biting her lip, she followed Atticus before something to the right caught her. Grabbing his arm she dragged him with her as she ducked under a branch and bent down to look at a strange batch of ivy. At his question she glanced up at him shrugging slightly. "I guess so, yeah." she said, thinking. "Like I said earlier....Sera and I needed to get away immediately, and when that happens..." she trailed off, finding a nearby flower. Feeling the bunny squirm slightly she quickly put her down and watched with a small smile as she made herself comfortable in the ivy before washing her face.

Chuckling slightly she looked back up at Atticus. "Well, when that happens we just leave. Sometimes we find new places, like today, and others, we just hide away." she explained, flushing slightly as she realized he was staring at her.

She coughed lightly, looking back down at the rabbit. "Uh, how about you?"

"I suppose I could say the same about Atticus. He's pretty stubborn," Bayax explained. Atticus pretty much did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted to which could be really annoying sometimes.

Atticus laughed a little bit, following Kallista as she grabbing his arm and drug him along. Atticus watched her with a raised brow, listening to her vaguely explain whatever happened while handling and letting go the rabbit. He felt the need to ask her why she immediately had to get away but he felt like it'd be impolite to push her on the topic if she wasn't comfortable saying it. They had just met after all..

He didn't even realize that he'd been staring until she blushed and coughed. He shifted his eyes away and continued looking around. "I've actually been traveling around whenever I've had the chance for like.. Three, four years?" He guessed, not totally sure when exactly,"I love it. Seeing stuff that I usually don't get to, just getting away from home." He shrugged, finding it kind of a boring explanation.

"Oh, hey, look," He said suddenly, veering off to the side, seeing a little pond of sorts that was surrounded by moss and flowers. He crouched down and put his elbows on his knees as he peered into the water, wondering if anything lived in there. "Do you see that?" He asked, pointing to a little pink mass towards the bottom of the pond in the middle.

Seraphina chuckled, closing her eyes, starting to actually relax in the black dragon's company. "We share similar plights." she joked.

"When you get the chance? Are you often busy?" Kallista asked before she realized that was probably rude. Flushing for once she cursed her blunt nature. "Ah...I-I mean, you don't have to answer that if it's personal or anything..." she muttered, looking away, though she had a small smile on her face as he explained that he loved traveling. She loved it as well. It was the main reason she kept trying to work on her magic. Seeing new flora and such had nurtured her love of nature and made her want to perfect her use of earth magic.

Watching him run off, Kallista quickly grabbed the bunny, not wanting to leave her alone before following him, crouching beside the pool. Resting on her knees, one hand clutching the rabbit to her chest and her other pressed against the ground to balance her, she leaned forward, trying to find what he was pointing to. It took a moment but once she did her eyes widened in wonder. "It's kinda cute." she grinned at him, leaning a bit closer, wanting to see if there were any others.

Bayax laughed and nodded,"So it would appear.." He agreed,"What island are you guys from?"

Atticus chuckled, looking in her direction. "Don't worry about. It's nothing personal. I just work a lot, I guess, and go to college. My dad wants me to follow in his footsteps but.." He shrugged,"I don't know if I do. It's just nice to get away from all the stress." He didn't really care if he told her. It wasn't like some deep dark secret. He was sure a lot of people were faced with the same thing.

He laughed a little bit, tilting his head,"Kind of," He agreed. He smiled, watching as one of them came up to the surface and seemed to look at the two of them. "It looks slimy.." He noted, instantly curious to poke it and see what it felt like. He wasn't sure if the little dude would appreciate that though. He looked over at Kallista and grinned,"Touch it. Animals like you or whatever, right?" He suggested with a smile. He looked back to the pond and raised his eyebrows, watching as a few more of the creatures came up from the muddy bottom and into the water.

He looked up at the sky, noticing that it was getting pretty dark out. Maybe they were nocturnal creatures. Was that even a thing for animals that lived in the water?

Seraphina chuckled along with him, knowing it was true. "Yes," she murmured. Tensing slightly at his next question, she tried to force herself to relax. Damn this is why she hadn't wanted to spend so much time with them in the first place. Coughing lightly, she tilted her head in Bayax's direction. "Which island do you come from?" she asked instead of answering.

Kallista smiled at him, glad he wasn't bothered by her questions and laughed at his suggestion. "You don't want to touch it?" she laughed before handing him the bunny, wanting to touch it anyway. Moving so she was laying on her stomach she shoved her hair out of her face. Leaning forward, she rested her head on her left arm before reaching into the pool with her right. Shooting Atticus a grin she placed her hand palm up at the bottom, letting the creature come closer before slowly climbing onto her hand.

She laughed at the feeling of it crawling along her fingers. "It kinda tickles," she grinned up at him, not even noticing the time. Slowly raising her arm she brought her hand up so that the pink blob was just under the water line. "Touch him," she challenged Atticus with a cheeky grin on her face.

Bayax wasn't really surprised when Seraphina turned the question back on him. She seemed like the type. "Crest Reef," He answered simply. He didn't see anything wrong about asking or giving that information. Even if he knew it, it wasn't like he was going to go and sought her or Kallista out. That would be weird and creepy.

Atticus laughed a little bit. "I don't know if I want to yet. What if it bites?" He asked her teasingly,"You'll be the first sacrifice." He was only kidding, of course. The thing looked way too cute to be vicious. It didn't even look like it had teeth. He took the bunny from Kallista, then moved so that he was sitting crisscross in the grass and watched as she laid down to get closer to it. He pet the bunny his hands, which seemed somewhat calm but far more comfortable with Kallista.. Maybe she did have that calming thing her dragon had been talking about.

He raised his eyebrows, watching as it climbed onto her and she laughed. He looked down with a little laugh, then looked over at her hand, making a face. It looked so... Weird and squishy. He didn't want to seem like a baby though, so he shifted the bunny to one hand and reached the other one into the water where he gently touched the top of the little pink guy. He laughed a little bit. "Oh, that's so weird," He remarked, running his fingertips over it's head. It was squishy and felt almost as if it little, tiny, soft hairs all around it. He retreated his hand and shook his head with a grin. "I don't know if I've ever seen one," He said, tilting his head a little bit.

Seraphina forced herself not to react at his words, looking up at the darkening sky, though she nodded, showing she heard him. "Fall Crux," she lied, thinking of the human populated island the was nearby their actual home of Terra Celesta. Bad things would happen if that got out. And she was going to make sure it didn't.

Kallista chuckled at his reaction, enjoying the silliness of it all. "I have to say," she said suddenly. "I'm thinking this is my best adventure yet." she smiled at him before looking back at the pink being scuttling across her palm, causing her to laugh. "Oh my gosh, this really tickles!" she giggled, quickly sticking her other hand in the pool and letting it crawl onto the back of her left hand. Pulling her right out of the water she shook it dry before resting her head on it.

A smile still on face, she waited for the tingles to fade, considering his words. "I don't think I've seen one before either." she commented, before shooting Atticus a grin. "We should name it then! What do you think?"

Bayax nodded a little bit at her words before resting his head down on top of his hand(what are dragons hands? paws? lol). He'd heard of the island but had never been, as it seemed to be for most of the little islands around their country. Atticus only cared to go to the abandoned ones.

Atticus smiled, looking over at Kallista,"I would have to agree," He told her sweetly. Not only had he found a bunch of cool stop just on his first visit, he also found a super cool girl which had never happened. He laughed a little bit, listening to her say that it tickled. Now he was just curious. Holding the bunny in his right hand, he moved his left hand into the water and watched a pink thing pushed it's way up to his hand with it's little tentacles and attached it's self to his hand. He laughed, realizing how much it did tickle.

"We should!" He agreed excitedly, looking over at Kallista with a smile before back to the little things in the water,"But what?" He'd never named a species before so he didn't even know where to begin. Wasn't it usually a scientific thing? Things he wasn't good at... Science.

Laying her head down again as well, Seraphina calmed slightly, seeing that he bought her lie. Which was good. Meant he probably hadn't been there before with Atticus, which gave him no reason to doubt her. She let out a deep breath, taking one last look at the dark sky before closing her eyes.

Kallista was happy that he agreed with her, about this being his best adventure. Watching as he moved his hand so it could crawl onto his palm, she removed her hand from the water, shaking it off before wiping it on her now dry tank top. Sneaking a glance at Atticus, she noticed how cute he was really was, which of course, caused her to flush. Quickly looking down, she folded both her arms on the ground, and rested her head sideways so she could still watch him. "I have no idea," she laughed. "I may be into nature, plants and animals and stuff, but I know nothing of technical terms and whatnot."

Looking back at the pink being she smiled again. "Well, it kinda looks like a tiny octopus, don't you think? But not exactly..."

Atticus chuckled softly, watching it crawl all over his arm, up the point of the water at least. It obviously needed to stay in the water. He looked over at Kallista and grinned. She looked especially pretty the way that she was laying and looking at him. There was just something cute about it. "Me neither," He admitted with a little laugh before looking back to the creature on his hand. "Kind of," He agreed, tiling his head slightly to get a better look at it. It was a little bit smaller than this hand and basically just a big ball with ears. "It's an octopus.. mouse..ball.. thing," He concluded with a chuckle, looking back over to Kallista with a smile.

He didn't like that it was dark out because that probably meant he'd have to go soon and he was having a really nice time with Kallista. He hadn't had this much fun in a while. He loved going out and adventuring and being with her made him realize how much he missed actually hanging out with people. His job and school basically consumed his live, and he'd pick going off the island over hanging out with friends any day. This way he was getting both. It was great.

Kallista smiled, watching Atticus and the pink creature. "Hmm....Octomouse? Octosquish....Octosqueak?" she randomly listed off terrible names. "They suck, I know, but it should have least a temporary name." she laughed, reaching down to gently pet it with one finger, giggling when one of its tentacles poked her finger.

She glanced up at the sky and frowned suddenly. It was starting to get pretty dark, and while Seraphina would wait until she was done, Kallista knew the dragon would probably want to leave soon. She sighed. She didn't want to leave. She was having the best time of her life. Spending time with someone who didn't know her, exploring, being in nature, and now they found a creature they didn't recognize. "I wonder..." she mused quietly. "I wonder if I could live of this island?" she asked aloud.

Atticus laughed, listening to all of her suggestions. "No, I like them... I feel like we she go with Octosquish. That one is great," He told her with a nod and a grin. He moved his hand to the bottom of the pond and watched as the pink guy crawled off, then he pulled his hand out and shook it off. "What did you want to do with this guy?" He asked her curiously to the bunny that was still in his right hand. They'd been toting him around but he assumed that she'd want to put him back where he belonged, but then again maybe not.

He wiped his arm on his shirt and and looked up at the sky then back down to Kallista. "I mean, you probably could," He told her,"It'd be hard though. Like you'd have to make a home and everything. And I didn't really see any food sources." People could live anywhere they wanted to. It just wasn't going to always be easy.

"Octosquish?" Kallista laughed. "Alright then," she said before peering back into the pond. "Bye bye Mr. Octosquish!" she cooed, waggling a few fingers in the water. Giggling she pulled her hand out and pushed herself onto her knees. A smile still on her face she took the bunny back, cradling it to her cheek, enjoying the feel of her soft fur. "Hm..." she sighed. "I guess I should put you back where I found you little one..." she pouted, pushing herself to her feet.

"Why do I have to put you back, you're so cute," she frowned before looking back at Atticus. "Nah, shouldn't be that hard," she told him with a small smirk. "No doubt you'll end up coming back here, so much stuff we haven't seen, so I'll get you to help me make a shelter, and food?" she paused, a jokingly evil grin spread across her face. "Bah, we'll just send Sera and Bayax to find good food." she laughed.

Atticus chuckled and smiled at Kallista. She was adorable. He handed the bunny back over to her with a grin, watching her hug it. He pushed himself up and then chuckled. "I'm sure she'll still be here whenever you come back," He pointed out, assuming that she might stop by again some day. He hoped so at least. Her next sentence was reassuring though.

He smiled and laughed,"Oh, I see. You only want me for my muscles," He teased her, flexing his biceps playfully when he said 'muscles' in regards to helping with the shelter. "Ah yes, what a perfect plan. I'm sure they'd love that," He agreed teasingly with a smile, looking over at her. He began to walk back to where they'd come from but very slowly because he didn't really want to leave.. "I really do want to come back here though. I feel like there's a bunch of cool stuff we still have to find and name," He said, looking in her direction.

"Damn, you caught me." Kallista joked, bumping him lightly with her shoulder. "I know right?!" she exclaimed, cheerfully at the thought of the two dragons being sent to get food. "I mean, Sera wants to protect me so much, the least she could do is get me some food," she laughed, shrugging. Following Atticus' slow pace, she grinned, agreeing with his unspoken thought. She really didn't want to leave as well. Maybe she could convince Sera to let them stay the night? Maybe Atticus could too?! The thought excited her, but she forced herself to calm. Should probably ask him if he had to get back before making plans.

"There's so much stuff here....Plus you haven't even seen the beach!" she told him. "You'll have to come back and we'll have to meet up so I can show you the quickest route to the beach!"

Atticus smiled and chuckled, shaking his head before looking over at her. "It only makes sense, of course," He agreed jokingly.

He nodded with a smile,"Definitely," He agreed. He really did want to see the beach. Seeing that they were nearing the huge tree that they started from, he grabbed her wrist and stopped walking, not wanting to awkwardly talk about meeting again in front of Sera and Bayax. They were like parents. "When do you think you'll be able to come back?" He asked her with a grin, wanting to make sure that they could both make plans to meet again. As much as he would love to stay, he knew that he had work in the morning and some homework that he had to get done before he could go out adventuring again. He hoped that Kallista didn't think that he was being too straightforward in his asking but he really wanted to see her again.

Blushing slightly as Atticus grinned at her, holding her wrist Kallista looked away quickly before smiling lightly. "Oh, I dunno...." she trailed off, pretending to think. She already knew she'd be coming back here everyday. Unless something extreme happened, then she would be coming to this island religiously. Waiting a moment, she grinned. "I'll probably be back here tomorrow. I can't wait for long to see more of this place." she told him happily.

At first when he'd stopped her, Kallista had wondered why they hadn't kept going, but now she was grateful he had. She doubted Sera would be pleased with her. Such a worry wort. "You?" she asked.

Atticus quickly pulled his hands away from Kallista, laughing a little bit out of awkwardness because he'd been holding it a little bit longer than he should have. He bit his lip slightly, listening to her and watching her think. He smiled when she heard that she'd probably be back tomorrow. He was beginning to worry that she wasn't going to come back at all.

"I'm going to really try and come back tomorrow, but it'll probably be later in the evening," He told her, knowing that work and homework would have him tied down for a good chunk of the day. Which sucked because now all he could think about was coming back to see her. And the island, of course. He'd just had a really good time.

Kallista grinned. "Great!" she exclaimed. "So I'll pick the greatest places to show you tomorrow!" she chirped, crouching down to let the bunny go. Placing the gray rabbit on the ground she gave it one last pat before placing her arms on her knees, waiting for it to run off. She held back a laugh when it took a hop forward before stopping, turning back around to look at her. "Go on," she giggled, waving one hand in a shooing motion. After a moment of hesitation the rabbit turned back around and headed into the bushes to who knows where.

Watching it leave, Kallista stood up, sighing. "She was so cute too." she pouted, before clapping her hands together. "I hope you know tomorrow I'm showing you the beach." she looked at Atticus with grin from the corner of her eyes.

Atticus smiled, listening to Kallista get all excited about him coming back. "I can't wait," He told her honestly. He grinned a little bit, watching her put the bunny down. "Animals seriously love you," He noted, watching as the bunny looked back at her before going on it's marry way. He grinned,"Maybe she'll find you again tomorrow. Or you'll find an even cuter animal to tote around," He pointed out, wanting to leave this on a positive note.

He chuckled at the idea of the beach. "Well in that case, maybe I'll remember my swim trunks," He told her playfully with a smile. Maybe not. Maybe he'd just go nude. Wouldn't that be something? He began to walk again, heading towards their waiting dragons. He knew that he'd had to go home, as much as he was enjoying stalling.

"Yeah, it was kinda weird at first," Kallista laughed. "But I got used to it. I love animals, and I'm pretty glad they seem to like me so much." she grinned, listening as Atticus spoke. "Ohhhh I hope so! She was adorable! Oh! Maybe she'll bring her family or friends!" she squealed, starting to bounce on the balls of her feet.

Kallista laughed, jumping to catch up with her friend, not wanting to be left behind. "I hope you do!" she told him, poking him in the shoulder. "Otherwise I'll shove you in while fully dressed." she warned, a small smirk on her face. Knowing they were almost back where they left their dragons, Kalli sighed, not wanting the day to be over. "I really hope you can come tomorrow. I wish this day didn't have to end, and I..." she flushed slightly. "...I actually, really want to see you again too."

"Maybe some of your cool skills will rub off on me," Atticus said playfully. He chuckled, looking back at Kallista. "You're adorable," He informed her, letting her know that because of her actions, all jumping and excited. He instantly felt his freckled cheeks begin to flush at what he'd said, but he smiled anyways and looked ahead.

He laughed. "If you push me in, I'll be pulling you down with me," He threatened, bumping into her after she'd poked him with a grin. He perked up at Kallista's words and looked over at her. "I'll be here," He promised her and then smiled,"And I really want to see you again too." It was really nice being on the same page with someone. Like completely on the same page about everything. He'd never met a girl like her. All the ones in his town were only concerned about marrying rich and being housewives. Booorrring.

Kallista flushed, oddly pleased at his words. "Th-thank you..." she murmured happily, sneaking a glance at Atticus. She smiled, biting her lip before looking straight ahead once more. "You're pretty adorable yourself~" she teased lightly.

Laughing she nodded. "So? I already dove in wearing all my clothes!" she gestured to her still slightly damp denim shorts. "Great! It'll be great to see you again and not be alone. Well, alone with Sera, I mean." she laughed, scratching the back of her head. "I mean, she's great and all, but I talk to her all the time. It's nice to spend time with you." she carried on, shoving aside some tree branches that were hanging in front of her face.

Atticus looked over at Kallista and smiled when she thanked him and than complimented him back. "Adorable? I prefer the term... Sexy, hot, unbelievably good looking," He responded playfully, bumping into her again before laughing a little bit.

"Ah, damn. So true. I was hoping that would've been enough to stop you from pushing me," He told her with a chuckle. He nodded,"I agree. Bayax is like, my best friend I guess, but it's nice to actually hang out alone with someone else. He's always around," He agreed with a little nod. He stepped around the large oak tree and grinned a little bit, seeing Seraphin and Bayax relaxing in the grass across from each other. At least they hadn't eaten each other or anything. Sera had been a little bit on the defensive side, which he could understand.

"Hey boy," He said, waking over towards Bayax, who slowly opened his eyes and lifted his head from his nap he'd been dating.

"Not on your life," Kallista laughed, pleased that he felt the same as she did regarding their dragons. Following Atticus around the large oak, the brunette smiled at the sight of Seraphina, absently noticing that she looked a bit tense. Frowning slightly, she made a note to remember to ask her about it later. Letting her from morph into a grin, she jogged towards her friend on the balls of her feet before launching herself at the white dragon with a shout.

"SERA!" Kallista chirped happily, landing with an 'oomph' on her friend.

Slowly opening one eye, Seraphina blinked before lifting her head to turn and look at Kalli. "Can I help you?"
