...Day 1

The Arrival...

Sasha Sommers sat on a comfortable brown sofa on the lobby of Khaolak Orchid Beach Resort in Thailand, a thick crowd of people were in the lobby with their luggages. Some like Sasha and her boyfriend Cortez were new arrivals, foreigners directly from the airport who came straight to the Resort for their reservations, others were natives. Either they were part of the staff and crew, or also other visitors like them, Sasha wasn't sure anymore. The number of people were almost confusing. She tried to peek through to look for Cortez from where she sat, he's been gone for a while since he left to get their keys to the room he reserved for them. "Where is he?" Sasha whispered to herself as she tapped her foot impatiently on the tiled floor. She wasn't always an impatient kind of girl, but the fact that she was in a different country for the first time in her life, and the only person she knew in this foreign land has been gone for more than twenty minutes, surely she can't be blamed for her sudden paranoia. "Gosh Cort..." Sasha leaned against the sofa's back rest and decided to just wait further, surely he's fine right? Probably just lost in the crowd and is already infront of the line to claim their keys as of right now. With a sigh and a cross of her arms over her chest, she tried to relax and waited for her boyfriend.

Daniel Amos walked towards the beach, a canon camera hanging on his neck by a strap. Slowly he raised the camera as he found a perfect angle of a little boy playing by the sand. Quickly he pressed the button and the camera clicks and shutters. With a smile he stood back straight, satisfied at the image he took. This was what the young man did in his spare time, photography. At a young age he discovered his love of taking pictures, whether it may be sceneries or animals, food or people, the lad always found himself relaxing at his little hobby, and soon enough he decided to make a living out of it. Thankfully due to his vlogs he recieved an email, a project to be an official photographer for an opening of a french restaurant here in this Resort. Who was he to say no? Daniel walked towards the Resort's lobby and saw quite a crowd, suddenly he was thankful that he got here earlier than this people, or else he would probably still be a part of this crowd, lining towards the reception area to claim their reservations. Raising his camera up he took more pictures of the people, some smiling, others talking, more children playing, other's obviously growing impatient like that pretty lady on the sofa. Daniel thought of approaching the stunning girl, but thought maybe she was with a boyfriend or something. A girl like that? He was more than positive she was. So instead he turned around and decided to just return back to his room.

"Alright Ma, I have to go. She's waiting for me." Cortez Lockwood said over the phone, smiling as he thanked the woman at the desk.

"I know Ma. Everything's going to be fine. You all and the Sommers are coming in three days. Everything's going to be fine." He said, grabbing his bag and walking through the crowds, apologizing to a few people he ran into.

"Yeah, yeah. I love you too Ma. Gotta go now. Bye." He said, shutting the phone as he saw Sasha.

Stopping in front of her, he smiled widely and wiggled the keys in front of her face.

"I got our room." He said, leaning forward and placing a small kiss on her lips. "Sorry it took so long. It's absolutely crazy in here." He said with a chuckle. Wrapping an arm around her, he grabbed her luggage and guided her over to one of the many elevators.

"But don't you worry. We'll have our alone time soon enough." He teased lightly.

-

Shanna looked around, a wide smile on her face as she looked out the window of her room.

"Shanna why do you look so excited?" One of her friends teased.

"Why aren't you excited?!" She exclaimed, turning to look at her friend. "We're in Thailand! What's not to be excited about! Just look at the beautiful skies and the people- oh the people! Why are we still in this room? We have to get out there!" She exclaimed.

"You know we're leaving in a second. Did you even get changed into you swimsuit?" One friend asked and Shanna blinked. "Oh that I did not!" She said, grabbing her swimsuit and cover up, running into the room to change quickly. She squealed happily, shouting to the ceiling as she laughed at herself. She truly was happy at the moment. She'd never stepped foot out of America yet here she was across the world to luxuriate.

She was going to enjoy this.

A surge of relief came to Sasha as she saw Cortez appear from the crowd, at the sight of his handsome face, her fears and worries suddenly faded like they weren't even there. She kissed him back as he leaned down on her to plant a peck on her lips, her cheeks flushing at his sweet gesture, it seems crazy how after all this years, every kiss he gave her felt like it was always the first time. Sasha chuckled and gave him a light hit on the shoulder as response to his teasing before following him towards the elevator banks.

Together they stood with a few other people in the Elevators, Sasha leaning against Cortez as his arms wrapped around her shoulder in a protective way. Once they reached the floor their room were in the elevator chimned and the couple quickly got out. "Baby, which room?" Sasha asked as they stepped out of the Elevator and found themselves on a long hallway filled with doors across from each other, golden embroided numbers on top of each of them. The hallways was dimmed, the only source of light were orange colored wall lights, one often found on hotels and condo units. Suddenly Sasha was reminded of Titanic, when rose tried to run past cabin after cabin looking for Jack, quite ironic really.

-

On the way back to his room something caught Daniel's attention on the Pool Side area. It was a bunch of pretty sexy girls in bikinnis, tan skin, long legs and big rack. What guy wouldn't love such a scene? Sitting at one of the plastic chairs right under a table with a large umbrella he started taking pictures as he bite his lip. His camera zooming in on parts he wasn't supposed to, what's even more exciting was the girls had no idea at all. Or did they? One of them certainly did, a tall blonde beauty who gave him a wink, one Daniel responded with a wave and a sexy smirk on his lips.

"Damn." He whispered with a strong italian accent under his breath as the blonde turned around to show her behind. Daniel couldn't help it, she wanted him obviously and he certainly needed company. Standing up he started walking towards the group of ladies, the blonde being his target.

Today's a good day... He can just feel it.

Cortez held onto Sasha, enjoying the warmth the love of his life gave him. He picked up the luggage, walking out with her.

"Room 285, my love." He replied, sending her a grin. Taking her hand he pulled her along the hallway before stopping in front of the room with the very number he'd said. Putting the bags down he unlocked the door with the key, opening the door and turning to smile at her. His eyes twinkled in their usual way whenever he'd gotten excited over something Sasha had yet to see. He guided her into a beautiful room.

All on the floor were rose petals that led to the bed where there was a towel display of two swans together, chocolates snapped as a heart around them along with some more rose petals.

"Do you like the room?" He asked her after a few seconds, closing the door behind him and putting their bags down before walking over to her. He scratched the back of his neck, a blush coming to his face as he bit his lip in nervousness.

-

Shanna and her friends made their way outside, giggling on their way out and to the pool. Shanna slipped her cover off, sitting on the side of the pool. She talked to her friends before watching a young man across the pool, holding up a camera.

She took note that he certainly was handsome. Absolutely attractive. Her eyebrows furrowed though when she looked closer. Was he...

Was he taking pictures?! Of the women around the pool. She let out a noise of disgust, pointing to her one friend.

"He is a chauvinistic pig." She said, shaking her head in disgust.

"A handsome pig." Her friend giggled.

"Allison! You can't say something like that!" Shanna scolded her. She glanced back up at the guy and rolled her eyes, standing up. "I'm going to go get something to drink."

Sasha's eyes measured the entire place in awe, it was more than beautiful, this place was perfect.

Her heart started beating faster in her chest, over what she wasn't entirely sure. Of the excitement maybe? Or just the thought of Cortez never failing to surprise her with things like this.

She turned around swiftly to face Cortez again, her hands were covering her mouth as a big smile was behind them. "Are you kidding me?!" She placed her hand back down and started walking towards Cortez, faster than usual and quickly wrapped her arms around his neck giving him a deep kiss filled with love.

Slightly pulling away Sasha locked her eyes to his. "Thank you... It's perfect." She whispered, her lips still inches away from his that she can feel his breathing on her mouth, her hands still wrapped around his shoulders to support her weight, her long fingers playing with the curly hair on the back of his head.

"I love you." She whispered so softly it was barely inaudible. How can everything be so perfect? This room, this resort, her boyfriend. Everything was like a dream, a beautiful dream that she hoped would last forever.

-

Daniel made his way to the group of ladies and started flirting around with them, especially the blonde beauty he had eye for.

He complimented her, spoke sweet nothings, all the usual things a typical player would say to get the girl they're interested in to bed. But like moth to a flame the blonde beauty was lured into Daniel's trap making everything easier.

"Would you want a drink?" he whispered while leaning towards her, his lips slightly brushing the lobes of her ear. She gave him a nod in response and in her eyes, Daniel can clearly see that he didn't need to do much flirting, because she was already willing.

"I have a fresh bottle of 2004 italian wine. Join me perhaps?" He said with his italian accent, the girl caught it and had more the reason to want the lad. Cute, sexy, attractive and italian? What more could she want.

"Please." She answered with a smile, excitement and greed in her tone and she wrapped her arms around his elbows and started strolling away from her friends.

"Have fun emily!" They called out to her.

"Oh she will." Daniel answered in return. "Oh shit my phone. Wait a sec." The blonde said and quickly wakled back towards her friends to take her phone. On the bar Daniel caught sight of another pretty girl, fair darker colored skin, curly hair, truly another treat. When he saw her looking he quickly gave her a wink, the look on her face wasn't so... Enthusiastic Daniel thought. Just in time the blonde returned and they continued on their way.

A smile broke out onto Cortez's face when he saw just how happy his girlfriend was. He grinned widely, opening his arms to catch her when she walked over to him, laughing as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He pulled her close, his arms tightening around her waist the way they usually did as he kissed her back. He was a bit surprised at the sudden kiss but quickly deepened the kiss, letting her feel- letting her know about the love he had for her.

Sasha was truly something of a wonder to him and he couldn't believe he'd been the one to strike gold. He could remember the first day he met her in school. She was an absolute beauty then and as the days went on her beauty only got better. She was his wine.

"I'm so happy you like it my love. I'm glad you do." He said softly, smiling at her. He pressed his forehead to hers and grinned when he could hear her say she loved him. He smiled, pecking her lips once again.

"And I love you mi amor." He whispered.

-

"A tequila would be splendid." Shanna said, smiling sweetly at the bartender. The bartender smiled back at her widely and both went into a happy conversation about why she was there.

She glanced back at the young man from before and stiffened when she saw that he had winked at her. She scowled, turning away angrily at him and huffing, muttering curses under her breath.

"That bastard..." She hissed.

"My lovely customer. Take a deep breath, calm yourself. It's a lovely time now! Enjoy it!" He exclaimed.

Shanna looked up at him and smiled, nodding her head. "..You're right. I will enjoy my time. Thank you." She said, smiling back at him and blushing when he sent her a wink.

She wouldn't worry over that guy and the girl with him. She had her friends and the joy to be here. She would have fun though she knew the guy's face would play in her mind.

She sighed, hoping it wouldn't bother her.

For a while the two love birds stayed in each others arms, feeling the warmth of their body and the comfort they gave each other.

Gently Sasha pulled away from Cortez and stared at his handsome face quite longer before turning her back from him and walking over to the glass door that revealed a terrace. From their room they can see the entire resort, the beach as blue as the sky just up ahead, right below them was the pool area where a number of people spent their time enjoying the sun.

Sasha couldn't help but biting her lip and and slightly jump in excitement while clasping her hands together. As she glanced back at Cortez. "We have got to get out of here and join this people." She said before reaching for his right hand and pressing on it tightly. "Please, come on! We'll have all the time tonight. You know-" she took a step closer to him placed a hand on her boyfriend's well built chest. "Your little 'alone time together' mantra." Sasha teased him quoting his words earlier at the lobby of the resort.

Before Cortez could even protest in staying here in the room instead of going out as she knew he would. Sasha gave him another quick kiss on the lips and dragged him out of their room.

-

Daniel took the girl in his room, at first they had a really good and well aged wine that sets everything on the mood until the blonde beauty who he found out was named 'emily' as her friend called her (Considering the lad never bothered asking.) started making her move on him.

Kissing him on the neck, her hands travelling all over his body feeling him hard down there. Now Daniel was pinning her against the bed, his shirt off and and his pants unbuckled. Boy was he enjoying this, he knew it. Today was going to be a good day. Just when he was about to take the blonde's top bikinni off his phone rang. "Shit." He cursed under his breath and climbed off the bed to answer his phone.

"Hello?" He said without bothering to look at the caller, his voice hinting the slightest bit of annoyance, his eyebrows furrowed together.

"Oh! Oh yes!... Ofcourse sir.... No, No! I'm not doing anything important. I'm on way sir. Merci, Merci Monsieur." The boy's delight causing him to speak in his native tongue. It was the restaurant's owner who hired him for this project and he was ordered to be their now for preparation of the opening tonight.

"Not doing anything important?" Emily the blonde qouted him before rolling her eyes and leaving his room.

"Wait! Aww come on! You don't want to finish? I'll be fast!" He called to her, his words more like tease as a smirk played on his lips. Hell right now he didn't care, his first project was more important than some girl, he'll find someone else. He was sure of it. Perhaps that ethnic beauty on the bar earlier?

Daniel will surely keep an eye for her.

Cortez chuckled over the excitement Sasha displayed and nodded his head.

"Alright woman, geeze." He said, rummaging through one of the bags for his small sketchpad. He yelped when he felt Sasha grab him, stumbling out of the room in surprise.

He laughed at her, following her down the hall and happy to have grabbed their key before she had pulled him out.

"Sasha! Do you even have a swim suit on?" He questioned her teasingly, looking up and apologizing to a group of people they ran through.

"You've got to calm down love!" He said, laughing as they made it to the elevator.

As they walked inside, Cortez took advantage of it being empty and wrapped his arms around her, pressing her back against the wall as the elevator closed. He reached back, pressing the button before turning back to her, with his smirk.

"So what was that about you letting us have our alone time later on?" He asked, his voice husky as he licked his lips. "Because I am surely holding you to that."

-

Shanna had finally left her friends. They had been flirting around with every guy they saw and after the second guy, she quickly got bored with their antics.

She now walked down the beach, sipping her juice in it's colorful cup dawned in her bikini only. It was absolutely beautiful out here and she wanted nothing more than to get in that water. She refused though, wanting to save that for later.

A small smile came to her face as she looked up at the clear skies.

"I really wish the rest of you were here..." She mumbled, thinking about her family. "I really wanted you guys to experience this. Oh well... I'll just take pictures."

She sat down on the sand, staring out at the waves.

A pouty smile came upon Sasha's lips as she locked her eyes on Cortez. Her hands on his chest as he pressed his body against hers. From her peripheral vision she can she the red digital numbers that shows which floor their in decreased every second.

"Mhm." She raised her hands to rest on his smooth face, gently rubbing them with her thumb. "But I said, tonight..." Sasha said in a teasing tone with a raise of an eyebrow at her boyfriend. Slowly she leaned up to him, having to slightly tip her toe for he was a bit taller than her and gave him a long lingering kiss.

"Oh my!" A voice came from an old woman echoed through the walls of the elevator. Surprised Sasha pulled away slightly and peeked behind Cortez only to see an old woman in her 60's standing there with a shocked look on her face. The elevator reaching the looby without them even noticing.

As much as she tried not to laugh she just couldn't. With a giggle she pulled Cortez out of the elevator and walked quicker towards the pool area. "I thought she was gonna have a heart attack." Sasha teased.

-

Daniel arrived at the french restaurant that was too be opened tonight in this resort. Preparations were clearly being in order as different designs and lanterns were placed here in there, chairs and tables being set up for more guest expectations.

Through it all, all Daniel did was snap pictures here and there as he was asked. Some of the female staff flirting with him and he quickly reciprocate to their little antics. Who said girls weren't flirty?

Cortez chuckled at her words, kissing her back gently. He could never get over the way she kissed him. It always felt... Magical to him. Magical enough that he'd admit that with no shame. He hands gripped at her waist, holding her tight as he pulled her closer to him not wanting to let go.

The sound of the older woman didn't bother him but he sighed, pouting slightly when she pulled away. He turned, sending the old woman a grin.

"Have a wonderful stay ma'am!" He said to her as Sasha pulled him out, laughing as they went. He thought about it before shaking his head.

"Nah, I think she needed to see some youngsters doing what they shouldn't. He said, grinning at her. "A blast in the past to her own reckless times. Now enough fretting. You wanted the pool and here it is. Get in!"

He spent the rest of the day with Sasha as they did any and everything at the hotel. He didn't join her for certain activities, choosing to stand at sidelines. He only did that so he could sketch. Although it wasn't something he wanted to get a job off of, he enjoyed sketching the people around him- his girlfriend being the one he captured in his notebook the most. By the end of the day he'd gotten about five more beautiful pictures that he'd add to his box of drawings he planned on giving her later on.

It was now around 8 and he'd managed to get her back into the hotel room to dress in something more upscale and appropriate for where they were going next.

He'd seen the new french restaurant and had immediately booked a spot for that night when he was able to slip away from Sasha without her noticing.

"This is where we'll be eating dinner." He said, fixing up his dress shirt as he guided her inside the beautiful place. "I figured we could dine in luxury."

-

Shanna stared at herself in the mirror, sighing lightly. She did a small turn, smiling at herself. This dress really did look good on her. She'd have to thank Jessie later. Leaning closer to the mirror, she applied some mascara and a bit more lipstick before tucking it away in her small purse.

She wore what one would call a tiny black dress and while it wasn't really her style she did enjoy dipping into this style of clothing and showing off what she had.

She figured now was a better time than any too on a count she was on a date with the cute bartender from before. She hadn't known he'd ask her out and take her here but a few hours after her finishing her talk he'd managed to find her on the beach, asking her out to dinner in a cute, dorky way that she couldn't say no to.

So far the night had been fun and he truly was a great guy. It made her wonder if anything else could possibly happen while she was here in Thailand with the man but refused to think of it. Shanna was thinking way too far ahead of herself and didn't want to hurt herself over something that probably wouldn't even happen.

She took a deep breath, looked at herself once more, messing up her hair a bit to give it a sexy look and made her way back out of the bathroom and towards the dining area.

Sasha's eyes twinkled in awe as she gave the hotel a measuring look. It was luxurious, maybe infact too luxurious. How much would a single dinner be worth in here? Surely it's expensive. Suddenly she was thankful that she brought along this purple knee length dress, her brown curls flowing smoothly on her shoulders, if not she would surely be out of place, everyone here looked like they were someone off of Forbes magazine.

"Okay. Wow. Are you sure?" Sasha asked slightly hesitant as a waiter escorted them to a vacant single table with two chairs across from from each other. A dinner candle, utensils of all sort that Sasha was more than positive she won't even use, and wine glass were on top. The table covered by a red cloth to add more of that five star restaurant effect.

As they both sat, Sasha reached for Cortez's hand and squeezed lightly. "Thank you." She mouthed the words to him before a waiter came over handing them menu.

-

Daniel was more than greatful for this project, the restaurant looked just marvelous! The decors, the background music, a piano being played by someone they also probably hired, the smell of the french cuisine, everything.

Unlike the rest the young lad didn't wear anything luxurious, a leather jacket, white shirt inside, denim pants and vans shoes were enough. He figured he didn't need to dress up, he won't be dining anyways, and the owner didn't instruct him to at that.

Walking over from table to table he snapped more photos, asking permission first before taking them. He wondered whether what they'll do with the photos. Turn it into a portfolio perhaps? Either way that wasn't his concern, as long a she gets payed like the contract he signed for, they can do whatever they want with it.

A wide smile grew on Daniel's lips as he caught glimps of that ethnic beauty once again. Damn he didn't realize she was that curvy. Quickly bringing his camera back up to his eyes he shot some phots of her. "Not bad." He whispered to himself with a satisfied smug look on his face.

"Of course I'm sure darling. Nothing but the best for you." Cortez answered with a small shrug, sending her a small smile. He held onto her hand, intertwining their fingers.

"I love you too..." He replied softly, looking up and thanking the waiter when he came with the menus. He let go of Sasha's hand to read his menu, his eyes widening at the selection. Everything sounded so good! He couldn't believe it! He licked his lips, plans to come back down with or without Sasha, running through his mind. He'd use this restaurant to his advantage and planned on having at least five different meals from here during their stay.

"Don't worry your pretty little heart about anything babe. I've got this. You order whatever you want okay? Don't worry about the money." He said, giving her an encouraging smile. He knew she worried over the money he'd spend on her. He hoped she didn't think of herself as something of a 'gold digger' to him. He never thought of her as one. Sasha was simply the love of his life that he'd rather spoil to death than not do anything for.

When the waiter came back, he looked up and gave him his menu.

"Sole Meunière for me along with what you think would be the best wine for it." He said with a nod. "For now I would like a cup of water." He looked over at Sasha and sent her a smile. "What would you like my love?"

-

Shanna smiled widely at her date, blushing a bit at his charming smile. He truly was a handsome man and was hoping they'd keep in contact after this. She even wished for some more dates with the man.

She just so happened to glance up and saw the man from before with that stupid camera of his. She hissed, noticing that the camera seemed aimed at her.

"Oh the nerve of him!" She growled to herself. She had half a mind to go over to him and start a problem but didn't want to ruin her date. She kept herself in control and walked back to her date, sitting back down in her seat and sending her a date a smile. She glanced back at him, shooting the man a dark look.

She would find him later on and find out if he'd taken a picture of not. She would be sure to give him a piece of her mind.

"I'll have what he's having." Sasha told the waiter which he responded with a quick smile and a nod while scribbling down to his notepad.

Sasha tucked some hair that fell on her face at the back of her ear before taking a deep and smiling back at Cortez. "Is it just me? Since getting here this morning I know I've been nothing but excited..." Sasha spoke with a bit of hesitant look on her face, like something was deeply bothering her. "Something feels, I don't know... Weird."

There was just something in the pit of her stomach, something that was telling her something bad is going to happen. Perhaps its just the knowledge that an ocean is only a few feet away from them? She isn't keen on waters after all.

Sasha chuckled and shook her head. "Nevermind, I'm just being silly."

-

He walked away and saw a newly arrived couple, his eyes squinting at the slightest at the girl with ombré hair. Ah, it was that pretty lady in the lobby this morning, little Miss impatient.

Daniel's eyes went over to the man she was with, ofcourse. He was right, too bad then he could've definitely shown her a good time. The boy might be a typical casanova, but he has his boundaries, no stealing someone's girl.

Walking over towards the two he asked them if he could take their picture.

"Oh sure." The pretty girl said with a smile.

The two smiled at the camera and he quicky took the shot. "Thank you." He said with a smile, more to the girl than her date.

Cortez let out a groan as the light him. He squinted when he opened his eyes, wondering why in the world the curtains in the room were open. He swore he'd closed them before they'd went to bed last night. He sighed, laying back down and feeling for his girlfriend to find the bed empty.

That explained the open curtains.

"Sasha!" He called out to her, wondering if she was even in the room. That girl had been a machine since day 2, having planned out everything they'd be doing for the day. He followed along as well as he could but was exhausted by the time they got back to the hotel. Not that he minded. He loved the fact that Sasha was having so much fun.

She'd be even more excited later on that night when she'd see her family there with his as he proposed. His stomach churned in nervousness and a bit of.. fear?

Something didn't feel right. He shook it away. He wouldn't worry about it. It was probably nothing. For now he'd simply relax in the bed.

-

Shanna was up and about, having enjoyed her first few days in Thailand. She was a bit peeved from the other night. She hadn't had a chance to find that pig and give him a piece of her mind like she wanted. He'd disappeared before she could and she didn't want to ruin her date by trying to find him.

Speaking of dates, she was on one now with the same man. They'd been walking down the beach. He was going to take her to some small little food place he'd been talking about that was a few blocks inland. She was positively excited and couldn't wait, bouncing in her seat when they went to his car.

She glanced around when she felt a small tremor.

"What was that?" She asked him, giving a worried look.

"What was what?"

"That tremor... Did you feel it?"

"Tremor?... I felt something. I thought it was something else. Maybe we just went through a small earthquake." He said, grinning at her. "Now you can say you experienced an earthquake in a different country. How many people can say that?"

She giggled at him, getting in the car. "Not many."

"Exactly."

She nodded at him and kept quiet, trying to push away the worry that was festering in her.

Sasha decided to walk along the beach, her hair flowing as the wind brushed from her face. She woke up early today, infact too early. She glanced at her wrist watch that says 8:30, she's been up since six this morning and felt like she needed some fresh air. Sasha thought about waking Cortez up but he looked like he was sleeping soundly so instead she strolled alone.

She remembered the past 2 days, all the fun and activities she and Cortez did, the laughter, the eating, swimming...the love making. It was all perfect, he was perfect. This was suppose to be their final day and they were leaving tomorrow morning, she made sure to make this last day more memorable.

As Sasha strolled she came to a sudden halt, the groud beneath her slightly shook. She thought it was just her, some spasming muscle or something, but no. As she looked at the other by standers by the beach, they too came to stop and started asking each other questions.

"Did you feel that?"

"Holly shit."

"Was that an earthquake?"

Sasha's heart started beating faster than it should. She watched the ocean, the water was slightly pulling back, like the sea was sucking it. More people were alarmed, some curious and went to chase after the water that slowly pushed back further and further. "What the hell..." Sasha whispered squinting her eyes. Then realization struck her, a wave, a very large wave can be seen from where she stood. It was far, estimation was about a few minutes till it reaches a shore.

Her eyes grew wide as she started facing the opposite direction of the ocean. "RUN!" She yelled.

-

Daniel woke up with a rub of his eyes. His curtains were closed, clothes were scattered on his floor.

Slowly seating up he groaned, his head felt like it was going to explode. What happened last night? He can remember the dancing, the drinking... And... Glancing next to him he saw a brunette girl sleeping, her back turned towards him. ...and the sex, of course.

He sat up from his bed and quickly puts on hi pants and grey shirt before heading over to the bathroom. After he washed his face he stared at his reflection for a long time. His eyes were still red, his hair messy.

Then he felt something. The mini chandelier in the bathroom shook and clinked, tooth brushes shook slightly and he too felt out of balance. "The f*ck." he cursed and his hands went to this throbbing temples. He doesn't remember doing drugs last night, he didn't right?

Ignoring what he felt he went to the minifridge to grab breakfast.

Cortex had gotten himself ready for the day when he realized Sasha hadn't even been in the room. He sighed, his stomach churning in worry. Where had she gone? She wasn't kidnapped was she? He wouldn't know what to do with himself if she was. He had went, pacing around the room a few times before deciding to make his way down to the lobby of the hotel, wondering it he'd see her in there.

He hadn't and felt a rise of panic in him before forcing it back down.

"Sasha's fine..." He mumbled to himself. "She's perfectly fine. Probably at the beach." He walked around in the lobby, choosing to go get himself a small pastry to eat. He'd plopped down at one of the tables and was eating his worries away when he heard commotion going on in the lobby.

People came running in, running into other people and screaming loudly. He stood, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. What was going on?

"Oh my goodness. Run!" He heard a woman scream and just like that, it was a mad house. He quickly made his way back into the lobby and grabbed onto someone running past.

"Excuse me, what's going on?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Tsunami!" They said. "Run, young man! We're going to die if we don't run!"

The world faded around him as he stumbled back, being ran into by someone else. This couldn't be happening. This couldn't... This couldn't be happening!

He turned, running out the hotel, his sole focus the love of his life.

"Sasha!!" He screamed.

Shanna laughed with her date as the sat down at a small table. The restaurant was pretty small and was packed but she enjoyed it. The people here knew the guy and were so kind to her that she felt truly welcomed.

He had been talking about something and she had been listening intently, nodding when she needed and what not. Her eyes flickered up when she saw someone run past. She wrote it off as a person playing around or maybe going on a jog. She went back to him before she noticed a few more.

That's when she heard the screaming. She looked over at her date, a scared look on her face. "Justin? I think something's going on. We need to go. Now."

He looked around and nodded. Taking her hand, he pulled her out of the restaurant along with the other patrons and both stopped to see what was going on.

"We shouldn't just stop. We need to go!" She said, pulling his hand and running down the street. Her heart beat fast and her eyes were wide with fear. She prayed it wasn't something too serious.

She prayed that whatever it was, she would survive it.

Sasha ran as fast as she could, her breathing now ragged as fear took claim on her chest. The sound of raging water can be heard now from behind her, but she didn't take a glance. She couldn't dare. People too were running past her, other's were still standing looking like statues, probably in shock.

The sirens went on as warning, the loud noise causing more panic. Children were crying, others separated from their parents. One little blonde girl with curly hair was hiding under a table, she was about the age of three judging by her looks.

Quickly she ran towards the girl and carried her. "Shhhh." Sasha comforted the child and kept up with her pace, her running slowed by the extra weight.

The noise of the rushing waters went stronger, like it was only behind her. Turning around she saw the wave that now hit ashore, a giant wave taller than the palm trees.

She saw people, people who got swallowed under the wave.

Then it got closer...

and closer...

Till sasha herself and the little girl got swallowed by the darkness of the water.

Screaming, that's was what Daniel can hear from below. He ran towards the terrace only to see a giant wave slowly approaching the building they were at. No, the wave wasn't the every large apocalyptic wave most seen in end of the world movies. This one was huge, huge enough to break buildings, carry a car through its current, it was as big as two palm trees placed above each other, the bigger the wave, the stronger the current.

Daniel was no idiot, it was a tsunami he quickly understood. "Shit. Hey wake up." He shook the brunette awake and she quickly sat up in seeing the alarm in his face. She herself glanced out the terrace and saw for herself the scenery from outside. Now the wave swallowed people, took trees underneath it. "Aaaaaah!" She screamed in a high pitched shrill voice.

Then the building shook some more, then more screaming, as expected, the large wave struck their building trapping them inside as waters filled the corridors.

Cortez ran the way the others were going, praying that Sasha was far ahead of him and somewhere safe. He looked back, taking note of how close it was and watched in horror as it hit land, swallowing people up with no mercy. He truly couldn't believe something like this was happening.

He turned and kept running, making it to a small building. He stopped, resting on it for a about two seconds before forcing himself to begin running again. His legs screamed at him to stop but he pushed through the burn, not wanting to die. He refused to die like this. A current of people pushed him to a different street and before he knew it he was being herded into a building up and up some stairs.

He didn't know how it had happened. He just knew he was running one second and rushing up steps the next.

"Wait no, I need to go back down!" He shouted, trying to turn and push against the crowd of people. His efforts proved fruitless and he connoted the climb, dropping down along with everyone else when the building made a loud groaning noise. He could hear the sound of rushing water and looked down the steps, seeing it rush inside the small stairway. He watched it sucking people into it's violent current.

Just like the others he continued to run up the steps and made it to the roof, watching and waiting to see if it'd come that high. The building shook and before any of them could comprehend, the building split in two, shaking violently. Cortez hit the ground of the one building and watched in horror as the other half was swept away, the survivors on there screaming their pleas of help as they were taken under the current.

Shanna was now crying, running along with Justin.

They made it up a hill and were running up the stairs of one of the small temples that had been built. She didn't trust this place to hold up for long and had told him that. They were going to run across the small temple bridge to the other huge building across from it.

"We're almost there. We're going to make it!" Justin said to her and sent her a smile. She couldn't help but smile back, feeling some relief when they reached the end of the bridge.

She turned around to help him over when the bridge he'd been standing on suddenly collapsed, the water having met them. A loud groan was heard and those on the bridge screamed as they dropped down.

"Justin!" Shanna screamed, dropping down onto the building and holding onto him, her eyes wide with fear.

He looked around in panic. "Shanna!"

They tried holding onto each other, the violent water rushing higher and higher. Others tried to help but their loved ones were swept away by the current.

"I can't hold on for much longer Justin!" She cried out, trying her hardest to pull him up as she called for help though none came.

He tried to get up but couldn't. He suddenly stopped, looking up at her. "Thank you so much Shanna. I truly have enjoyed the last few days of my life with you."

"Justin? Justin no! Don't say that!" She cried.

He simply smiled and let go, getting hit by a huge block of something. It slashed up her arm and she screamed his name, watching as he was swept away. She cried out, feeling a sharp pain on her head and everything went black.

The noise of rushing water against her ears swooshed on as Sasha stumbled and turned from underneath the wave. The little girl was still in her hands, she needed to resurface.

The current was strong as she got hit by random things she couldn't even recognize. Twigs? Plants? Chairs? Other people? There was no way of knowing for sure.

Her lungs felt like it was going to explode, she was running out of breath, her life slowing draining away from her. She opened her eye slightly only to see the little girl, now very still, she wasn't moving, or struggling...

She was dead, her little lungs failing her at the lack of air.

Having no choice she slowly loosened her grip on the little girl and watched her being taken by the current. If she wasn't under water, Sasha was sure her tears have already fallen from her eyes.

She kicked up as hard as she can, thankful that her head emerged from the waters. Air finally entering her lungs. "HEEEELP!" She yelled as the current still took her. She submerged and emerged from the waters a few more times before managing to grab hold onto a tree, a few more feet and the water will swallow this tree entirely.

The water was deep... So deep.

"Cort!!!" She yelled, tears in her eyes as her entire body ached, she can feel something in her legs, something was pierced in it. "Cort!!!" She yelled again as she hanged on the tree for her very life.

"No! No!" A woman passed by her, the current taking her towards wherever it wanted to, her head was bleeding.

The woman was still in the surface for quite some time, until she went down... And never came up again.

Daniel ran up towards the top of their bulding, he heard it shook some more and was thankful he managed to get on top before it splits in half.

"Fuck!" He cursed grabbing his head as he watched the other half of the building being swallowed by the waters. There were people in there, women and children.

He glanced around and saw nothing but water, some people were hanging still. Some on rooftops, other's on trees. Some were already dead, their bodies floating, face down against the waters.

"Oh my god."

"Please oh lord save us."

Different crying for mercy came upon the other people who were also on top of that building, some were crying, others praying.

He saw a man, that same man who was the date of that ombré colored hair girl. But where was she?

The look on his face was obvious, he didn't know. So Daniel swallowed hard, he can't believe this was all happening. How can things take such a sudden turn?

And where's that girl, that brunette he slept with? Daniel glanced around and didn't see her with the rest of the survivors above this building. Shit, he told her to follow... Maybe she got caught on the other half of this building. "Shit. Fuck!" Daniel cursed again kicking the ground, the building shaking as the current below them threatened to break the other half that stood.

Cortez couldn't comprehend this. He didn't want to comprehend it. The water... All this water. All this damned water! He crouched low onto the top of the building, a groan escaping his lips. This was all so wrong. He didn't even know where Sasha was.

"Dammit!" He yelled, slamming his fist downwards onto the cement building. "Dammit, dammit, dammit! This is all going to shit!" He let out a scream before biting back.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his riled up nerves. He looked around again and saw the floating dead bodies. He saw the people still alive who were screaming for help. He wished he could help them. He truly did. But from where he was, he could do nothing but watch.

He stood up, looking all around them and trying to find a way to leave the building. He had to keep moving. He had to find Sasha. But first he turned around and looked at the other survivors on the building with him. He began going around, asking if everyone was okay. A lot of them were bloody and tired. He probably looked just the same.

He saw a man he'd seen before, the one who had been at the restaurant their first night.

"You alright man?" He asked, helping him up. He didn't look too good. But then again, none of them did.

Shanna woke up to a man dragging her.

"Wha? What's going..." She managed to speak, looking around her.

"We gotta get to higher grounds miss." The man said. "You were knocked out. I watched it with my family. Got hit in the head by a huge branch. Nasty gash." He said.

Shanna nodded, standing up, wobbly at first and placing a hand to her head. She could feel the dried blood and shivered. "Thank you sir."

He nodded at her and ran off, going towards what looked to be his wife and kids. They all grabbed onto him and began running.

She watched them go and began to follow when a huge wave a water hit the entire family.

She screamed along with the others who were around her and turned, running for her life. She managed to make it to a building and began jumping over roof tops. Trying to get as high as she could.

She needed to survive this and wouldn't go down without a fight.

'Just hold on...' Sasha thought to herself as she grabbed on to the tree for her life. The current got stronger than it already was.

Debris were floating above the raging waters, from plants, clothes, to dead bodies. They were all mixed up. Sasha can feel her hands aching as the current of the water tried to pulled her away from tree.

No, she can't let go. She wouldn't. Once she does there's no way of knowing where she'll end up. And there was something on her right leg, it was a piercing pain and she couldn't move it that well making it even more harder for her.

"Help!" Sasha screamed again despite knowing her efforts would be useless. Who would come to her rescue when everyone needs rescuing? And Cortez... Sasha doesn't even know what happened to him, is he okay? Is he safe?... What if he's already dead? Like those floating dead bodies. No? She couldn't bear the thought. Cortez was strong and she knew it, he'll fight, he has to.

Suddenly she felt the tree she was hanging on tremble. "No." She Whispered as she felt it bend slightly. "No, no, no!" She repeated over and over until the tree snapped from the strong current and Sasha was once again struggling as she tried to keep her head up from the dark and deep water, unsure where the current will lead her now.

Unsure if she'll live, or die.

"What? Oh y-yeah man." Daniel answered the guy's question snapping him back to reality

He wanted to think that he was still sleeping right now. That he was still in bed and this is all just a bad dream. But yet he knew that was just some childish thing to think about. This really is happening, and he was part of it.

Screaming were heard from below, some calling for help. But what can anyone do? They all needed help. Everyone in this roof were some of the fortunate once, they have a higher rate of surviving. But those in the water? Who knows what'll happen to them?

"Where's your girlfriend?" Daniel asked him as he tried to block all the noise, the building still slightly shaking from underneath them. "Oh. Uh, its stupid of me to ask. Nevermind man." He said apologetically to him.

Then just a few feet away from them was another building, smaller one and a number of people were above it as well. But after a few minutes those people on the other side started screaming, the water level rising and rising.

Everyone on the rooftop with Daniel knew what's going to happen next. He couldn't look, he just can't. A mother from the smaller building cried as she comforts her baby, wrapped around a blue blanket. Then slowly the water rised some more, and soon everyone on that building were swallowed by the water and all they could do was watch as those people drowned to their deaths.

Cortez nodded his head and winced when he asked about Sasha. "I... I don't know man. She wasn't with me this morning and I went to go look for her but then this happened and..." He cut himself off, plopping back down, his hands running through his hair.

"Sasha!!!" He screamed out, looking around, hoping that maybe she was near. Hoping she was okay. Hoping she was alive. "Please be okay baby... I need for you to be okay..." He mumbled, running his hand over his pocket. He'd been nervous earlier and had the ring on him. He was surprised it'd made it through all of this.

He looked up when he heard the screams, his eyes widening at the sight before him. He crawled to the edge of the building, watching as the water rose, swallowing them up with no mercy. Tears came to his eyes, muttering under his breath as he counted, hoping- praying- that one of those people would come up alive.

After a few minutes they did rise up, motionless. His eyes widened and his stomach churned when he saw the baby blanket. The woman beside him began to wail, mourning the loss of those people in her native tongue.

He turned away, gulping before freezing in fear as the building he was on began to tremble.

They needed to move. Now.

-

Shanna continued climbing. She had been one of many and as the water rose, those people with her slowly began to dwindle.

She didn't know how many buildings she'd climbed but knew she had to keep going. Her arms and legs screamed at her, pleading to stop and just take a break but she knew she couldnt do that. She had to move.

She cried as she watched a group on one roof be taken under. This was terrible. Truly terrible.
