wizard justin updated DeathWood High with a new update entry:

Quick Update

Well, since we can't tell anyone who is accepted I told everyone In the OOC so just to let you know on that.
Before we officially start I'm gonna be waiting for one or two more people.
Read the rest of this update entry...
Justin rushed to school with his seven katana's on his back he ran into his homeroom class and sat in the back of the class. This is my first day in school as a junior I can't wait to see a freshman, senior, sophomore and Juniors to walk into the class. I just can't wait to learn how to fight more properly.

Harm walking in the hallways notices the young man rushing toward her. She hides in a adjacent hallway watching as he passes by her. After he passes by she walks behind him keeping a safe distance she is not ready for social interaction yet, but she will follow him just in case he needs any help. Those with boundless energy tend to easily get lost.

Kirigo stood silently at the front of a massive classroom where many students already sat. Every single student in the school would have to gather there soon, as it was the first day, and this is where the opening ceremony would take place. The headmaster had left Kirigo in charge for a few days while he was away, meaning alongside all the classes he would have to teach, he would also have to conduct the opening ceremony as well.

With watchful eyes he turned to the gathering crowd, awaiting the rest of the students to fill the massive room.

Kotoe pinched the bridge of her nose as she walked through the hallways slowly, dodging any people who happen to be walking or rushing in her direction. She strolled, trying to relax as she didn't get much sleep last night. She was getting extra ready for the first day, trying out new tactics... Like making her hair silkier or an extra hour with her pole arms. Kotoe reached her forearm behind her head, in front of her hair and brushed it back with a thick sweep. Her face gave the impression that she wasn't a very pleasant person to be around right now. But then again, she always does have that kind of expression plastered on her face. Entering the room where first day opening ceremony would be held as normal, she sat a little more to the front. Hopefully, since no one liked sitting in the front, she'd get a peaceful opening ceremony this time.

Justin was the earliest person to enter the school. He even beat the headmaster and Teacher. He was waiting in the auditorium for a long time waiting for the students.

As the boy enter's the auditorium with no hassle Harm stops in front of the doors.Harm not wanting to enter the auditorium just yet waits out side the doors quietly. Her arms crossed and her luminescent blue eyes looking out from her bangs she leans against the doors.

Justin took out his staff and it started to create a bunch of flames. He smirked. He may not be the number one student but he is the smartest.

Lillin strolled down the familiar hallways, headed towards to the entrance ceremony sighing as she walked, she couldn't believe that she'd have to retake her junior year, the whole ordeal was just embarrassing. Shaking these thoughts out of her head as she approached the auditorium she noticed a girl waiting outside the doors, her piercing blue eyes staring out into space, approaching the girl she greeted her "Pre-ceremony nerves?" Trying to start up a conversation Lillin smiled, introducing herself as a junior to the school again was not something she was looking forward to.

Harm looks up at the white haired girl she could be her polar opposite. "No, Im retaking a year so this is all old news for me" she says blankly. She's fine with having to retake a year especially since it would be so much better than why she had to skip a year in the first place. "I don't really feel like sitting yet I thought that I would stay here and help the students who can't find the auditorium." She likes helping others although for some reason they are always intimidated by her.

Lillin was surprised by the girls response, she wasn't aware anyone else was retaking the year, albeit for a different reason it helped soothe her nerves "Oh? I'm retaking the year myself actually" Laughing awkwardly as she spoke deciding to hold back to information that she had actually failed the previous year. Lillin smiling as the girl explained that she wanted to help the newer students "That's wonderful, though you should probably try loosen up a bit, that expression you had on made it look like you wanted to kill someone" She said jokingly, smiling offering her a handshake "My name's Lillin by the by, nice to meet you" Introducing herself to the girl she seemed like a kind enough person, although a little scary to try and befriend.

Harm was shocked that someone else missed a year. Maybe they had more in common then she thought. The words of her second statement stung a little, kill someone, I guess I haven't brushed off all that happened over the year. However she smiles and tries to look less intimidating "the pleasure is mine, please call me Harm"

Harm had a nice smile, it certainly helped lighten up the atmosphere "See that's more like it" Spinning on her heel towards the door as she finished "Well, I'm headed in now. Nice talking to you Harm, wish me luck!" Pushing open the door, while giving her a small wave while she spoke.

"Good luck" Harm replied as Lillin walked past her into and into the auditorium doors behind her. Lillin, she seems like a nice girl, I hope we have some classes together. Harm resumes leaning back on the auditorium doors waiting for other to enter the school.

Entering the auditorium Lillin looked around, there were already a decent amount of people here, though unsurprisingly the front rows were mostly vacant. She decided on a spot in the front most row, better to get things over with quickly, ignoring the giggles of her former classmates as they noticed her, knowing she failed the previous year. Sitting down she quickly zoned out, playing with a small key-chain she kept in her pocket as she waited for the ceremony to begin, spinning it around her finger and preforming all manner of tiny tricks.

Harm sighed no other students had taken the entrance she was leaning on. they probably took the second entrance she thought. Still not really wanting to enter she moves off the door and enters the auditorium awaiting the lecture that always comes in the opening ceremony. She slides in the back seat next to the door and awaits the inevitable.

After absentmindedly, dropping the chain she had been playing with Lillin looked around, the auditorium was pretty packed now. Just how long were they planning on waiting before the ceremony started, it was just like this last year, for all its prestige Death Wood wasn't the most organized of schools.

Harm was annoyed by the constant chatter in the back rows. Why do people always talk so much in the back, they never stop. Harm had enough she got up glared ferociously at the girls next to her who couldn't keep their mouth shut and walked down to the first row. Let's hope the front will be more quiet than the back.

Continuing to look around Lillin noticed there were a few other people nearby, Kotoe a senior she'd only talked to for trivial reasons such as asking the time before and a gray haired boy she didn't recognize, after taking a few moments to study them she noticed Harm making her way up to the front rows, giving he a small wave and a smile as she approached.

Harm noticed Lillin and moved over to her and sat down, "You don't mind right? I was sitting in the back, but there were these annoying girls and it was move or go insane." She glanced over at the two students Lillin was looking at, Kote now a senior, powerhouse fighter and hard worker. I remember we had a few classes togeather Freshman and Sophomore year. Don't agitate. She didn't do this about everyone just those who could stand in her way of success of being the best. She turns back and smiles at Lillin.

"Not at all, I could use the company, this wait is... Incredibly boring.." Shoulders slumping slightly as Harm continued "I'm not exactly in good standing with them either.." Throwing her head back, her hair hanging over the back of her seat. "Though watch out, talk to me too much and it could be the death of your social life" Glaring slightly in the other girls direction as she spoke, finishing with a laugh so not to bring down the atmosphere, despite the fact she was being half serious.

She crosses her arm,"Please, I don't care about social popularity. Being popular is overrated." she smiles. "The universe is full of selfish people who need to learn that life is not about what you have but...... who you have." She cuts off remembering her loss, for a moment she forgets what she has done. She shrugs off the past and turns and smiles at Lillin, "I wonder when this is going to start?" she asks.

(Hey I'm going to bed, night)

Kirigo sighed as he looked upon the crowd gathered before him. He realized that a few faces were missing, but thought that it would be better to start and get the whole thing over and done with.

He rose a hand into the air, attempting to get the attention of the students. When it availed to nothing, he turned around and pulled forwards a strangely flat object, covered in a white blanket and rolling on a small platform with wheels. Pulling off the blanket, he revealed that it was in fact, a massive gong. It was old and rusty, with a shaky wooden frame holding it in place. It had been used in the first few years after the school's creation to begin the entrance ceremony, though nowadays it mostly just sat around collecting dust.

Taking the long, slender mallet off of it's top, he raised his arm high in the air, and brought it sweeping down, crashing into the gong with a tremendous sound.

It echoed massively throughout the room, instantly silencing the students.

Once more he rose his hand, and waited for the last few echoes to fade into nothing before speaking.

"Welcome, students. Any of your returning this year will recognize me as the teacher for all classes involving combat, survival, and the like. For those of you entering this year, I am Kirigo Green. The headmaster unfortunately could not attend this year's opening ceremony, and has asked me to perform it in his stead."

He paused, taking a moment to play through the script of the opening ceremony in his head before continuing.

"I would like to formally welcome all newcomers, and re welcome all old students to DeathWood high. There were going to be trumpets played all throughout the room just then, but our marching band has unfortunately all died recently, due to events I am not legally allowed to speak of. However on the up side, positions in the marching band have just opened. Anyways, you will now receive your dorm number, where you are to go after this. There will be your class schedules for this semester in your room." Turning, he walked towards the wall behind him, where a small lever sat. He pulled it swiftly, and a large chunk of the wall flew forwards on hinges, revealing it to be a trapdoor of sorts. A massive flock of owls flew out of it, small pieces of paper attached to their legs via ribbons.

"Please do not touch, harm, or in anyway endanger the owls. They are simply delivering your dorm number, and are also extremely venomous." He couldn't help but stress the last part, because last year the headmaster had forgotten that little detail, and several students were hospitalized for a few months.

Harm was alarmed by the resonating sound of the gong, Okay that's new. She sits down and listened to the speech by Mr. Green. She liked Mr. Green he was a good teacher, if it wasn't for his teaching she would probably not be here. As Mr. Green went on she wondered what room number she would get.

A beautiful gray owl swoops down gracefully down and perches on her outstretched arm, "Hello Graylight" she said. This bird gave her her room assignment freshman and sophomore year. She unwrapped the paper on her leg "Room 321," she turns to Lillin. "What room did you get?"
