Information Concerning: Camp Ivy

New-map.jpg
To say the camp was barren is an understatement. To put it simply, if it hadn't been for the sign stating "Camp Ivy" out front, there would have been no signs that the camp was even a camp to begin with. The buildings that once surrounded the prosperous Camp Ivy were burned or destroyed. There were only a few buildings that remained intact, or intact enough to explore. The remaining building were damaged beyond recognition, but through careful examination, one could use context clues to figure out what the buildings had been. Some of the destruction seemed eerily intentional, but it's hard to say without expert opinion. The buildings that remained standing included:
The Infirmary - The building was barely standing and was victim to blunt force, but within its walls contains some basic medical supplies and books.
The Armory - There was tons of burn damage, it looked like someone had tried to destroy it before running off. Within its walls contains basic weapons and armor. Unfortunately, all of the good equipment was gone.
The "Blue" House - This building had little damage, probably because it was standing alone. It can be assumed that this is where the counselors stayed, and within its walls contains books, information on gods and creatures, and other items.
The Temple of Gods - Funny enough, this building appears to be untouched. There is nothing useful in the building except for a small statue of each major Greek God and a plaque listing their achievements.
There was also the remnants of a small wheat farm more north, a guard tower, and some tents with no significant information in them.

Micah Son of Aphrodite Location: Camp Ivy Mentions: no one

Growing up, Micah had felt as if something about his life was different. Not in the cocky sense, but in a way he couldn't particularly explain. People would constantly surround the young boy, complimenting him on his looks or his voice. And because of that, he garnered the attention of fashion and modeling agencies from all over. The child hardly knew how to talk before he became a big shot in his own town, starring in commercials and short films. He had spent so much time being surrounded by people that the boy never questioned it. Though, in some deep crevice of his mind, he always wondered why he was a victim of such treatment. Sure, life was good. But the only thing he truly desired was the attention of his absent father. Of course, he wasn't stupid enough to make that his main concern. So, all Micah had was himself, the hundreds of people who came flocking towards him, and the one person who he called a friend- his manager.

This is why when Micah stumbled across the Reddit post, it seemed to resonate with him more than it should've. It was one of those "lay in bed all day" sort of days for Micah. He spent the last week going to different parties and following his manager around like a lost puppy. It got to the point where he was burnt out and needed some time to himself, which was rare for the kid. He knew that if his manager caught wind of this, he would receive an earful the following night. However, he didn't care. Micah had woken up at around 3:40, couldn't bring himself to fall back asleep, and did what any normal person would do and decided to spend his time exploring Reddit.

While going through different top content and learning about the different reasons why cats were superior creatures, Micah stumbled across a troll post. It went on about how the Gods were disappearing, the world was ending, and blah blah blah; it was karma bait and not a very good one. But something about the post stuck with Micah. He chuckled to himself, thinking he was crazy for even clicking on the post to begin with. But, for some reason, he believed that whatever that man, Axel, was trying to say might be true. It was insane, he was aware of that. But because of his modeling gig, he was going to be in the area on the date of the supposed meet-up, so he decided then and there to make his way to coordinates when the time came.

And once the time did come around, Micah had supposedly been the first one to arrive. Figures, he was always a little too early for most people. Luckily though, it gave him time to take in the surrounding region, which wasn't much. If it hadn't been for the sign, he would have never guessed the area was a camp. Minus the few noticeable buildings in the distance, the entire place was barren. There was not a single soul within the camp except for Micah, who never stepped past the front entrance. Even the animals, which were dense near the entrance to the forest, had scurried away somewhere and refused to make a sound. Something wasn't right.

Someone or something had put nature on pause. It was too empty, too quiet, and there were too many red flags. I mean, what the hell was an abandoned camp doing in the middle of a forest? There was a moment of doubt when Micah wanted to leave and go back to his normal life. But he didn't. Call it fate or intuition or whatever, but something was keeping him from leaving that camp.

"Ah, fuck it." Micah groaned and plopped himself down next to the unlit campfire. He figured if he was already here, he might as well wait it out and see if anyone else arrived.

Laura hated that she had been made to come all this way for a ruined camp, some shitty derivative of the real pantheon based camps. Who had even heard of Ivy as a pantheon who would even send their kids here when the real ones were available? She would not have even come if not for the damned oracle, they just had to make a prediction and call her out. Laura had come across the post on reddit, not that she liked the site, and despite what it said had been more than happy to ignore it. Laura had until the other day been completely sure she would never leave the camp, or well her room in the camp, that she had not even cared what might be going on in the outside world. If anyone would have been sent Laura would have been sure it would have been Leo, her most hated half brother, he was the perfect son, that child that upstaged her at every chance. Laura hated Leo to the point there was no love to be lost between them and she would for sure let him die if given the choice. Instead for some gods forsaken reason she was stuck outside in the gods forsaken sun.

Well the last bit wasn't fully true, Laura wasn't in the sun right now, she was in the ruins of the forge. While some places were in better condition Laura at least felt more at home in a forge than any of the other buildings. How someone as weak as her, who could not walk long without almost collapsing, got this far had only one answer. She had some contacts, not all monsters were bloodthirsty and plenty were helpful. So she had hitched a ride with one to get here fast, the night before the supposed meet up. Well she hadn't made it to the camp then, but nearby and she had only made it to the camp proper today. She had done a little looking around, but she didn't know what the fuck she was looking for so had just taken a nap in the ruins of the forge. The poster had not made himself know so Laura assumed he wasn't camping here and a camp without any campers but herself was nice, it was to bad home couldn't be like that.

Laura would wake from her little nap to the blessed silence of no campers and no animals. It was nicer to be all alone free from others to look down on her or attack her. It was almost Laura's dream camp, if she could just set up her secluded room and fix up the forge she would be perfectly happy to remain here away from everyone forever. That was till as Laura exited the burned out forge she saw someone else had arrived, of course there would be others, but Laura really hated the idea anyone else had seen the post. Really Laura could just leave them alone, but well prophecy and all that she had to deal with the group. Well it was just one person for right now, but there would be others and other would likely attract attention. That attention might end up with someone dying and Laura did kind of hope that someone else died.

Having to play Nice Laura decided not to get her guns out just yet, though she did notice something odd, the other person's hair was green. Man that was weird, well not really dye explained it, but well Laura couldn't help but find people who dyed their hair odd colors just a bit weird. Laura couldn't tell who this kid was, well whos' kid they were. Right now he could be Greek or roman or maybe some other pantheon. Well there was nothing to do about it so Laura continued to walk closer. Still by the time she got there she was already feeling a bit out of breath and panting softly. TO say she was out of shape was an understatement.

" You the poster or just and idiot drawn in by it?" She asked her tone hard and venomous despite having never even seen this green harried kid before she could not hide her hatred for all half bloods.

Within the quiet woods, the crunching of fallen branches and dry leaves can be heard as a young man walked on the dry ground. Following the map on his phone to make sure he is going to the right path as somewhat dazed golden eyes scanned the area. Standing still for a moment to listen. He can hear quiet murmurs from the tree spirits, but nothing else.

“Okay.” Oak took a deep breath of fresh air and continued his walk. Gripping onto the strap of his backpack as if to relieve some anxiety before letting go. Hopefully, whatever that was chasing him is long gone, but he couldn’t relax. The forest was too quiet…even the spirits were quiet which is rare in itself. They never seem to shut up and now…..it’s starting to unnerve him.

A few days ago, while sitting at a table in a somewhat popular cafe to wait for Track and field practice to start this afternoon, Oak was checking his emails for any responses from any job opportunities or replies from potential colleges when he suddenly got a message from Reddit. A new post in a group he is following. Curiosity brewing within and believing he could take a quick peek of it’s context, the runner clicked on it’s link, and he read it.

The post was strange——laughable even! Who would actually go to this random forest for a meeting about Gods disappearances and harpy chases? ‘Not me.’ He thought at the time, snorting in dull amusement. He had more important things to do—-

The brunette shut his eyes closed as a familiar ringing in his ears happened again. He grabbed his Sports book bag and took out a brown pill bottle. Twisting it in a hurry as the once muffled disembodied voices around him started to become loud and clear. If he doesn’t see them, he can’t hear them, is what he thought in repeat as he frantically took out a bottle of water too. Then he twisted the cap as he can hear what the spirits say.

’——I want a donut.’

’Starbucks is so crowded today.’

’Coffee is bean water-‘

Look.’

’A harpy is here.’

’They are after him, no surprise.’

’Ahhh~’

Oak paused, freezing his arm before he could pop a pill in his mouth, and snapping his head up as he heard that comment. Were the spirits messing with him? They never did that before-

And so, he slowly turned his head around with squinty eyes as he stared out of the window. Barely able to see through his dark lashes. However a few minutes of just staring, he noticed something. There was a weird shadow within the squished and shadowed alleyways of New York. It was slightly perched on a railing and it had wings….

He thought it was a statue…..

That wing moved a bit….

He thought wrong.

So he pretended to take that pill, putting his things away, and left Starbucks. For once in his young adult life, he listened to the spirits’ words as they mentioned of a harpy following behind him within the shadows. They were surprised that it didn’t attack him yet….so that’s good. He’s going to blend in large crowds until he was safe enough to go. With that, Oak took precautions and made his slow way to this camp that’s listed on that post.

”Perhaps the tree spirits could help me on finding this camp.” Oak muttered under his breath and went to the closest tree to gently knock it’s bark. He waited for a bit and asked.

”Hello. Do you know where this camp is?” Oak asked to the seemingly still tree. Silence. Then a soft breeze made it’s leaves rustle to the right side. He grinned. “Thank you, miss. Have a good day.” Then he went to the right. Upon arriving the camp’s main wooden gate, the runner stopped in front of it to read the worn down sign that’s covered in actual Ivy and raised a brow.

”Camp Ivy . . . Okay then.” He sighed in relief. “This is the place…”

Oak proceeded to walk, a bit curious as to what the rest of the area was like when he could see two others by —-what seems to be like—-a pit for a fire. He stopped, cautious then figured they might have come here for similar reasons. Besides, they didn’t have any sorts of grey smoke tendrils around them like spirits. So they should be human, right?

The runner took his time to walk up to the duo, not wanting to interrupt their conversation as he looked around. Then as he reached the fire pit, Oak blinked owlishly before placing his bag down on the ground. Wow…at least he wouldn’t be called weird for his eye color; their hair is vibrant. He didn’t know if he should sit near them or give them space. He should greet them either way.

”Hi. I’m Oak. Nice to meet you.” He grinned at them before taking his spot that’s closer to the pit itself than the duo. ”I”m guessing you saw that post too?”

Oliver Morgan

we really gotta’ take one of those busses out there? Can’t just find a horse in town? Oliver asked, side eyeing the short girl perched on his shoulder. Laura O'Keane rolled her eyes in response and gave Ollie a reprimanding flick on the head.

“I’ve told you a million times, Cowboy. People don’t just HAVE horses anymore” Laura chastised him. A million may be an exaggeration, but it certainly didn’t feel like it. Oliver didn’t respond out of fear for further attacks from his short friend, but inwardly grumbled to himself that it wasn’t his fault he had been dead for the better part of 127 years.

Before Oliver could open his mouth to whine some more about the advancement of personal and public transportation, Laura shoved a hand in his face. “Shhh sh shh, did you hear that?”

Ollie pushed her hand away so he could better look around, a single brow creeping up as he did. “hear wha-“

He was interrupted by the loud, awful sound of a car scrapping roof-first across the pavement. This was followed by a deep, guttural bellowing from a what appeared to be large hairy man standing in the middle of the road. At second glance Oliver realized he was looking at no man, but rather half of one.

The creatures lower half was more than hairy, matted with shaggy fur ending in two hoofed feet that clopped on the pavement. “minotaur!” Laura hissed, gripping Ollie’s dark hair in each of her fists in some odd attempt to steer him away. His feet remained rooted, however, until a large fist knocked him off of them. Oliver’s ears rung as his vision faded to black.

Oliver found himself standing in the fields of his family farm, a beautiful and bountiful harvest around him. From beside him came the sound of a rifle being loaded. But his eyes remained locked straight forward, unable to leave the terrible sight in front of him. The beast hunched over, feeding from the unmoving body of a woman on the ground. A gunshot sounded from just behing Ollie, leaving his ears ringing terribly. For a moment he almost believed the monster would fall. But instead, a pair of hungry eyes turned towards Oliver and his grandfather. The monster leapt at them as the ringing in Oliver’s ears grew louder-

Brown eyes fluttered open slowly, an arm raising to defend them from the bright light of the sun. After a moment to recover, Oliver struggled to his feet. His entire body felt sore in a way it hadn’t since before he died. This hadn’t been Oliver’s first flashback to his old life, but was the worst he had had in a while.

Laura was nowhere to be seen, and Ollie prayed she had gotten away from the monster safely. What was it she had called the creature, he wondered. Minow? Menor?

Minotaur, a minotaur she had called it. Oliver had never seen a monster like it before, one that looked so dangerous. He couldn’t help but panic a bit thinking of that monster getting it’s messy paws on Laura. He had to find her, and the best place to look would be the place they had been headed.

The pair had been traveling towards Camp Ivy, some place Laura heard about on that internet she was always going on about. As far as he could tell she had gotten a message from a half-blood named Axel, delivered by a monster called the Red It?

Ivy wasn’t far now, just a bus ride and a short hike away. For Oliver there was just one last challenge to overcome-

“how in the got-damned hell do you get the bus to come?”

An hour later, Oliver stepped off of the bus. A kind older lady had helped him understand that the bus would show up to it’s stop at a certain time, and was even sweet enough to pay his fare. Laura carried all their money, of course.

The final stop on the bus’ route dropped him on the side of a wooded road, with still no sign of Laura anywhere. It didn’t take Ollie long to find the Camp Ivy sign, and an unlit campfire with three people circled around it.

“Laura?” he called hopefully, taking a better look at the trio as he drew nearer. The first boy, though Oliver couldn’t help but note that he was quite handsome, held his attention for only a split second. The other boy though, Oliver couldn’t help but stare at for a moment. There was a strange feeling radiating off of him, an almost… familiarity.

At last, his eyes settled on a very short girl who was herself eyeing the rest of them with malice. For a moment he almost mistook her for Laura, between her diminutive height and Grumpy look the resemblance was uncanny. But her hair was much lighter than Laura’s own blonde, white even. Paired with reddish eyes, and the absence of Laura’s eyepatch, this was clearly someone else.

“Uh, howdy. Any of y’all seen a girl about yay high,” at this Oliver placed his hand flatly and softly atop the white-haired girl’s head, “wearing an eyepatch?”

Laura was not a friendly person and she knew it in fact she made sure she was not friendly and was as actively mean as she could be. Why she felt the need to be this way was complex and well they didn't matter. This being said someone who was naturally and actively hostile to pretty much all life in front of them did not like being touched. Laura hated it even more than one might expect as this wasn't a normal person it was another half blood and there was nothing Laura hated more than other half bloods, well there was Leo. If Laura had any strength in her, the physical might of even a normal human she might try to attack the half blood that currently did not want one of his hands to exist. She however, was weak even by normal humans standards, she lacked any and all boosts that half bloods got and all she got for it was a normal attention span and the ability to read. Still even someone as weak as Laura had a few ways to deal with people she hated, even if she had yet to really use the on Leo even if he deserved it.

" Legs bite" Laura half shouted half growled her anger, hatred, and perhaps fear of being touched all easily heard in her voice.

From inside her backpack seeming to large to fit in the bag meant for grade schoolers emerged what many would see a a nightmare. With a red head and light brown segments Legs the centipede emerged. Still at a glance one could see 2 things about Legs. One he was huge well over a foot long so that he didn't have to come out from the backpack to enact Laura's command. Second this was a centipede following commands like a dog. Legs was likely the one living thing, outside her parents minus Hephaestus, that she tolerated. He had been enchanted and was now am magical creature larger than normal and far smarter.

7f8449d05bd2ec57660d196be369e0bc.png

Legs skittered up the back of Laura's head and found the offending hand and bit down on it. Being a giant desert centipede Legs was not deadly even to normal humans and a half blood was in no danger of death. That said his venom still hurt like hell even for a half blood if he put it all into the bite. While not as smart as a human or at least a full grown one Legs understood situations far more than even a smart animal did and would hold back. The bite would have venom, but not the full amount enough to hurt a lot but not insanely. He also understood to not bite for long and let go so he couldn't be thrown and with the blinding speed of even normal centipede skittered backwards down to Laura's shoulder to avoid counter attacks.

" Good boy" Laura said patting Legs head as if he was a dog " Anyone else feel like trying to touch me?" she asked rhetorically her voice never losing it's own venom as if herbwords might inflict the same pain as Leg's bite.

RIHANNA SOTTOSANTI

Hanna was obviously the last person to arrive, or so she thought. She didn’t think there would be any more as she trudged up the last few inclines of the hill, before seeing the others. To flashback a bit, Hanna had simply been doing her job, which led her here. Stupid whoever the psycho was had decided to post a SOS signal, and despite Hanna wanting to believe the guy was crazy, she didn’t delete it. Now, one of her superiors might, but she still had the post saved just in case she wasn’t actually crazy. It had confirmed all of the beliefs she’d held her entire life, after all. Cracking her knuckles, she adjusted her duffel bag higher over her shoulder, with a heavy sigh.

The first thing that freaked her out was that everyone looked like they belonged in a musical about different history periods. One girl looked like a Romanian vampire, one guy looked like an old West Outlaw, and the other two guys looked relatively normal. With that, she let out a small sigh of relief. There was civilization here, well, people at least. One did not always mean the other. The second thing that freaked her out was the giant centipede. She wasn’t afraid of bugs or spiders or anything, they just…weren’t her cup of decaf. Raising a suspicious eyebrow, she nodded to Laura. “Lady, this ain’t the vicious animal petting zoo. No one’s invadin’ your space, so might as well put that thing away.” She raised her hands up, before spinning back around to face the guys.

“Ooookay….so we have Wild West Outlaw and two relatively normal people. Besides her.” She thumbed back to Laura with an eye roll. “Does anyone else have any idea who brought us here, and why? Some deep diving connected me back to an IP address at some sort of internet cafe…but that doesn’t tell me much.” A small awkward chuckle escaped her lips. “Any ideas?”

Oliver Morgan

Oliver flinched as an incredibly large centipede emerged from the small girl's backpack, cursing as it scuttled up the back of her head and clamped it's pincers into the hand that rested on her head.

“Son of a- fuck!”

He hadn’t expected a response with such malice, and perhaps fear, from a simple touch. Even less so had he expected the appearance of a giant bug, one ready to attack at the girl's beck and call. At first he had mistaken it for some monster, hand shooting to his hip where his six-gun had once rested, but reconsidered when he realized the way it obeyed her like a trained pup. Also, after realizing he was- and had been from the moment he had returned to life- unarmed.

Ollie pulled his hand away, rubbing at the burning bite mark left behind. It definitely hurt, it hurt quite badly in fact. But looking at the boy you could hardly tell, any sign of pain effortlessly wiped from his face. Oliver hid his pain well, and on top of that had experienced far worse pain than a little venom. Like the time he died, for example. That had definitely been worse, and by a large margin.

Eyeing the white-haired girl with a mixture of apprehension and shame, he let out a small chuckle. Oliver wiggled his finger playfully at the nasty creature on her shoulder while keeping his distance out of fear for another attack. “Got me good there little one,” he said lowly to the retreating centipede, just audible enough for the girl to make out if she tried.

“Sorry if I got a little too handsy miss, didn’t mean to spook ya’” he continued more audibly, scratching gently at the scar that ran up his right cheek. It was a nervous habit he had developed since coming back, one his traveling partner had often chastised him for. “Sorry for airin’ the lungs there too, aught to watch my mouth around a lady”

While this had been going on it seemed another half-blood had arrived, stealing Ollie’s attention momentarily as she spoke up. A vaguely offended look crossed his face when the new arrival referred to him as a wild west ‘outlaw’, but devolved into the stare of a dumb puppy at the rest of her words. IP address, internet café? He had heard Keane use some of those words before, but had no idea what they meant- or what they had to do with going diving.

“’Scuse me ma’am, but I ain’t an outlaw. Just a buckaroo from Oregon way, though far from the fields and calves these days” Oliver corrected, tipping the brim of his hat in her direction. The last thing he wanted was to be mistaken for some sort of crook, to be tossed in a cell or hanged. He had seen his fair share of hangings, and if there was anyone in the world he didn’t envy…

Laura laughed at the idea that there were relatively normal people here. She was the most normal the most human of this gathering of freaks even if the other were blissfully unaware of their own inhumanity. " Believe me of all of you I am the most human as always half bloods think themselves the norm you are not. " She said her voice sarcastic and the worlds half bloods spoken with more hate than most of anything she spoke about.

The cowboy seemed to understand he should not touch her, Laura hated being touched she hated pain and to many Half bloods had ended up hurting her by only touching her in their minds. She also just hatted people being in her space in general almost as much as she hated being out in the open like she was now. Right now really was not a good time for Laura. She did notice how anachronistic the cowboy's words were. Yeah some people in places like Texas liked to play cowboy, but he didn't seem to be playing cowboy it seemed natural.

" Though i have to say for Half bloods you bunch are rather slow on the uptake, well i guess you were the bunch unfit to even be taken in so i shouldn't be surpassed" Laura started her tone shifting from hatful to smug rapidly as if she finally found a group she was better than. " The Religion of the Greeks and romans, not that there is much difference, was as correct as any other and now they are vanishing. Looks like even the great heroes fucked up royals serves them fucking right" Laura continued chuckling to herself that the heroes had failed " Even that bitch the oracle had a vision the world is fucked and we are in for a shitshow" She shrugged recapping what she felt was needed info " And along comes some fucker on Reddit of all the gods dammed places that says he knows what's up. So how about you bunch of freaks make yourselves useful and out your inhuman bodies to find this fuck so can get some answers out of him?" Laura didn't even bother to include herself in the search and anyone with eyes could tell why even the small walk from the forge to here had left her winded there was no way she would be helpful in a search. " I even can tell you the forge is clear of any one already"

- Oak Fowlis -

Oak didn’t know that he would have a rollercoaster in the emotional ride within a few minutes.

As the newcomer came and asked about a young girl, the runner couldn’t help but stare back. It’s really weird…there’s this pull—-a light tugging in the back of his mind that he should know him…but he doesn’t.

Oak shook his head and opened his mouth with an easy going grin. “No, we haven’t seen—!!!”

His lips were sucked in his mouth. Eyes widened in shock as he watched the sickly pale girl called for Bites—-Bite is a centipede. It’s a large centipede. It’s a large centipede that bites. How did she train a bug?! TO BITE?! He felt his world changing. He thought bugs didn’t have developed brains to even understand human languages, having their own simple ones with their sense of smells and movements. Yet here’s this little girl with a pet centipede that just bit the newcomer.

Then again, he was chased by a harpy. Maybe this shouldn’t be as surprising to him, considering of what he has seen and can do.

Oak winced. Aren’t centipedes venomous?

Yeaaahhhhhh, he’s never going near this little girl. Nuh-uh. Too troublesome. Not worth. Yet still, the cowboy shrugged it off?! What?

Then another person came, another young lady with curly hair. Who seems to be sassy and without fear of the centipede’s wrathful owner. He suddenly felt tired. IP address? So she’s into computers. Okay. Not even she knows where in the world is this redditor, leading her here, and becoming a dead end for her. So this guy should be here!

With this in mind, Oak stood up from his spot and cracked his neck. Half-listening to the pale girl’s rather aggressive explanation. Though her attitude and lengthy talk is giving him a headache. He never did like lectures and she sure sounded like one of his smug teachers at high school. Knowing so much about one thing and thinking they are better for it. Always mocking him for not being able to read as easily as the others and always calling him a druggie for taking his meds.

His golden eyes looked around, mindlessly staring at the scenery of this abandoned campsite. He wondered if there were any spirits here that can help him or give a small hint, but this place felt devoid of spirits. Similar to certain churches or cemeteries. Still, he wanted to check and ask.

“I don’t know anything about half-bloods or this gods business.” Oak started. “But I do agree about finding this guy. Seems like none of us have the answers.”

He sighed, already finding this troublesome. “We should go in pairs. Just to be safe.”

”I’ll go with buckaroo, if you’re okay with that.”
He asked the Cowboy at the end. Looking at him with a hesitant grin.

Micah Son of Aphrodite Location: Camp Ivy Mentions: Karcen Karcen Katsuya Katsuya IDKnuggets IDKnuggets meepster meepster

After Micah initially made it to the camp, the rest of the group slowly trickled in. First, was a young, aggressive-looking girl. Her sharp red eyes pierced through the male for a split second before he shook off the feeling of uneasiness. Her aura made her intentions incredibly clear and Micah had no desire to fuck with that. "No, I'm not the guy. I'm guessing you're not either." Micah hesitated a bit in his response, the girl hadn't taken the time to introduce herself! He groaned under his breath, "I was hoping whoever posted it would've shown up by now." Later on, the feeling of uneasiness for the girl would warp into a small sense of fear after the introduction of her bug thing- which, giving Micah the benefit of the doubt here as he was raised isolated from most of the world, the male flipped out over and might have screamed about.

Almost immediately after his reply, another member of the group introduced themselves. He was a relatively normal guy, apart from his glistening gold eyes, which for a moment, attracted Micah's attention. He hadn't seen something so unique outside of his own abnormally colored hair, or partially abnormal. Micah does admit it was enhanced with a bit of hair dye. Anything to get the public's attention, his manager would croak. The male, Oak, had a much gentler demeanor than the girl. Micah let out a sigh of relief and introduced himself, "Feel free to call me Micah!"

Following Oak was another, rather peculiar, fellow. A cowboy? Or perhaps an outlaw as another girl would put it. No, none of that felt right. He was definitely a lot more intriguing than the rest of the lot. His mannerisms, his tone of voice, and even the way he presented himself seemed almost- old-fashioned? He knew there were people out there who were into LARPing or RPing, but not to the extent this man presented. Nonetheless, his presence wasn't unappreciated. And, unfortunately for the poor fella, he would meet the wrath of the giant centipede (which, once again, Micah flipped out over) as if it were nothing.

Finally, the last member of the group would make herself known. A rather sharp woman who looked completely normal compared to the rest. And, considering her knowledge and the previous investigation of the situation, was much more intelligent than the rest (no offense, of course). This gave Micah a small confidence boost, there was someone here who knew something, or at least more, than what everyone else could muster. That is until the red-eyed lady spoke up.

Something about gods, and how the Greek and Roman religions were real? She confirmed that the rest of what the post said was true, apparently, the Gods really were missing. Micah chuckled a little, there was no way she was sane. But the look on her face said otherwise. She was calm and didn't falter her speech. Plus, why else had Micah, or even the rest of them, come had they not had some faith that what she was saying was true?

"Yeah, Oak has a point." Micah piped up after the lady was done speaking. "We should split up and see if w-" In the distance was a loud, blood-curdling screech. "Okay, maybe splitting up is a bad idea. Who knows what dangers lurk around the corner."

Micah was never one for combat, he never had time. He learned some self-defense in case a raging fan wanted to steal his organs but, other than that, he couldn't hold his own. Not against whatever inhuman thing was screeching in the distance! He quickly hid behind the cowboy guy. Sure, the red-eyed lady seemed to be able to hold her own, but he did not want to come face-to-face with that bug. And, out of the rest of them, the cowboy guy could probably win in a fistfight.

Information: Given to Katsuya Katsuya

This will be a small section, usually given at the end of posts. Its primary focus is to push the plot by leading an individual (in this case, Oak) to the destination of choice. That individual will somehow incorporate the information given to them, and only them, to lead the group. Like I said before, it's only here to help push the plot along using information about individuals (in this case, Oak seeing spirits)!

Fog, since when had it been there? It began to envelop the outer edge of the camp, and Oak feared he was the only one who could see it. Within the fog danced figures that slowly began to make their way over to the group. From all corners, the figures worked- no, yearned- to make themselves known to anyone who would listen. Grey smoke followed their traces, and no matter how many times Oak would blink or look away, they were still persistent. However, among those figures was one that stood out. It appeared to be a young girl, no older than 12, based on the height and outline. The girl looked at Oak and began pointing. And with that, the figures dissipated into the ground. Everything returned to the way it was.

Upon closer investigation, the young girl was pointing at a building. It was one that appeared to be in pristine condition, and as if it didn't belong (On the map, it would be the Temple of Gods building). Why had the girl been pointing there?

- Oak Fowlis -

Earlier, Oak was happy that the oddly attractive guy with green hair introduced himself. It made him feel less nervous. “It’s nice to meet you, Micah.” He greeted with warm grin.

As Micah vouched for his idea to split up, Oak jumped before turning around to where the sound came from. Looking around with alarm. That sound gave him chills, it reminded him of the harpy chasing him before, only the harpy was silent at the time. Perhaps it wasn’t the harpy? He hoped not…

That thing had reverb too…

The runner took a deep breathe, trying to calm his nerves.

‘Wait, the forest was clear before.’ Oak thought as he started to notice the amount of dense fog surrounding the camp site, peeking out from the edge of the forest’s trees. His golden eyes peeked at the others, realizing they are not reacting to the fast paced mists. Not even the angry girl.

“Dammit.” He muttered under his breath. By habit, he reached for his bag, going down to his knees, and search for his pills. “Where are they?” Oak bit his bottom lip as his eyes kept fluttering down and up; there were shadow figures dancing around. All of them misshapen and unearthly. They were coming closer to the group, almost mindless in their hypnotic and anxiety-inducing sways.

Oak gulped as he paused in his search. Blinking so many times in hope of them going away but they didn’t. So there were spirits here. They didn‘t seem threatening but they were making him uneasy. Not like seeing spirits frighten him anymore, but their movements are too sudden; it freaks him out. His eyes focused on one figure: a little girl no older than twelve years. Her outline suggested that she was wearing a simple summer dress, but it had holes on the edges and in one of her tiny hands is a teddy bear. It was ragged and the head is about to roll off it’s shoulders.

“What is it?” Oak asked the little girl. She pointed and he snapped his head to where she pointed. A building that looked like a temple from Ancient Greece…It is strange that this building is here, in the middle of a camp.

”What’s over there— little miss?” Oak looked around then huffed. The spirits slowly melded down to the ground, disappearing within his sight, and the world became normal again. Gods, he will never get used to the spirits disappearing like that.

To everyone else, Oak seemed like a madman, talking to himself. Suddenly anxious as he looked in his bag only to stop and stared off into the distant. It was weird how he was so focused on one spot too, but no one was there. When he asked, only silence responded him—seemingly, he was talking to someone, but who? And his eyes seemed to glow slightly too…

Then he snapped his head around and looked back. Huffing at the end and grumbling about how spirits need to stop doing that?

”Guys? I think I might know where the OP is.” Oak piped up again, standing up straight while pulling his bag‘s strap up and over his shoulder. Then stuffing his hands in his coat pockets, he headed over to the temple; the only building that looked pristine and taken care of. Apprehension twisting his face to a mild grimace, head angled down, and his walk is slow. He didn‘t want to go alone, but didn‘t say it either.

Laura turned to the direction the screech came from almost casually , before looking to the other almost seeming confused and disappointed " None of you fucks offed that bitch yet?" She asked " Really what Kind of half bloods are you that you didn't even kill a harpy?" she asked rhetorically. They weren't like her to Laura all the other had all the powers and blessings that a half blood should have so one harpy should not be much of an issue to them. Laura lacking all the blessing and side effects that came with them of course could not fight a monster, well she had her guns but if one of these guys got killed well then she might pull out her gun, that or the harpy came at her.

Then the one oak started to have his own mini episode as he seemed to react to things only he could see. In a camp where people were likely killed he was reacting to nothing. Well that gave a hit just who his daddy was as Laura bet he was seeing the dead. That was helpful and would hopefully speed things up. Laura for a brief moment did wonder how he was treated in the outside seeing the dead and all that. Well knowing how things went they likely threw a shrink at him and loaded the kid up on pills. Well no matter what he was useful now and Laura didn't care how he might have suffered he still had everything a half blood got and more. So she still hated him as much as she hated everyone else here.

" Of course those bastards would save their own fucking temple " Laura said though it was clear to any that listed and watched she did not normally move much and even a short walk tended to tire her. She could make it to the temple but she was very much out of shape. " So I guess we know who your dad is then. Tell me how many pills did they shove into you make you stop seeing things ?" Laura asked though her chuckle had a malicious tone as if she hoped to bring up bad memories. " Really we should figure out who each of you belong to it is the least a parent can do to claim their kids right?" Laura half asked as they neared the temple again her tone said she was seeking weak points to hurt others.

As he walked towards his destination, Spencer questioned his detour more and more. The first reservation he had about going to this "Camp Ivy" is that it shouldn't exist, at least if it were the 1940s. Back then, aside from good ol' Camp Jupiter, the only demigod camp he knew of was that camp where all the Greek half-bloods are and even then, he was one of the few in Camp Jupiter that knew it existed. While the white-haired boy was unfamiliar with these Com-pewters, Inn-tear-net, or whatever crazy contraptions the younger generation has come up with ever since his absence, that message from Red-eat he heard from the bunch of teens that laughed it off at the cafe he visited deserved to be taken seriously. On one hand, there are telltale signs that it could be a trap. From the various dealings he had with monsters, Spencer knew how cunning they could be if they actually put in the effort. Chances are, they could have created the message to lure naive demigods to their deaths. While the fate of others was the least of his concerns, he is quite interested in fighting such a monster and sending it back to the hellhole it crawled out from.

On the other hand, if what that message said was true, then things could be shaping to be more interesting than he thought.

"The gods disappearing... have they finally gotten what's been coming to them after all these years?" He mused.

The news left a bittersweet impression on the pale boy. While it was obvious that he had no love for the gods except for his divine grandmother, he couldn't give his dear old dad a proper beating if Thanatos disappeared as well. So he decided that he needed to get to the bottom of things as soon as possible and for better or worse, that camp is his only lead.

The trip itself was uneventful. He managed to secure a bit of funding from his old home after confirming his identity, which he surprisingly didn't have much trouble doing. Perhaps the servants who have faithfully served his family already have an inkling to their history with gods and monsters, Thus, he managed to get a bus ride to a town close to Camp Ivy. But as soon as he stepped off the bus, he immediately felt like he was being watched. There was no question that it was a monster but while other half-bloods would immediately feel fear or anxiety from experiencing such a sensation, it felt refreshing for the white-haired boy.

"It feels a lot more unsettling when there isn't something trying to kill me wherever I go." He mused.

For now, he ignored the monster and started toward the direction of the camp. He'd just have to take care of any monster that's foolish enough to think he'd be their next meal. What was so striking is how much the world has changed since he was "exiled" in Tartarus. From the way people dressed to the cars, and even how they interacted with one another was a far cry from what he remembered. Even though it's already been a couple of weeks since he got out of that godsforsaken place, everything still felt completely overwhelming for him. He even had to adopt his current style since people were giving him weird looks because of how old fashioned he used to look.

After a couple of minutes of walking, he drew close to the camp's gate's. However, something made him stop in his tracks. The white haired lad first heard the angry screech that undoubtedly belonged to a harpy. However, a measly harpy wasn't the reason for his concern. Instead, it was the parade of spirits that surrounded the camp. While Spencer may not be a child of Pluto, he could still see and speak with the spirits of the dead because his father was the one responsible for sending them on their merry way to the afterlife. However, commanding spirits is something he's had limited success with since it felt wrong to impose his will on beings that were once people and he never really had the talent for it.

Anyways, among the ghoulish crowd was a girl that look more prominent than the rest. As he walked closer to her, he noticed that she was pointing at something and that's when he first got a glimpse of the camp, or what used to be Camp Ivy. Practically every building was damaged or reduced to rubble with the exception of what looked like a temple for the gods.

"Of course, they'd save their own skin. Typical wankers." He cursed under his breath. He shuddered at the thought of the demigods in this camp getting slaughtered while their parents did nothing but watch.

However, he also noticed that there were other people in the camp. Either they were survivors of Camp Ivy or they also were attracted by that message like moths to a flame. Eventually, the spirits disappeared and Spencer decided to walk towards the group to get some answers when he suddenly felt a wave of murderous intent radiate from behind him.

"Couldn't keep away after all, ya bastards." He mused.

Upon turning around to face his attackers, he noted a pack of hellhounds hellbent on biting his face off with the nasty look they're giving him. Whether these were wild or were sent by the lord of the underworld to bring him back to Tartarus was irrelevant. As one of the beasts impatiently leapt towards him, he motioned for his scythe to appear in his hand before twisting his body to perform a horizontal swing. As soon as the cold blade made contact with the demonic dog, it erupted into dust, undoubtedly sent back to Tartarus except for a single canine tooth that Spencer guessed was his trophy for killing the mutt.

The rest of the dogs became more wary considering their buddy died before their eyes. They decided to flank him on all sides instead. Perhaps they thought that he wouldn't be able to kill all of them if they attacked from multiple directions. Spencer feigned ignorance, remaining perfectly still from where he stood as the hounds circled him. Finally, the four canines rushed towards him, fire burning in their eyes as they opened their jaws to land a fatal bite. Spencer waited until the last moment before dive rolling out of the way and quickly performing a series of strikes aimed at each monster. He managed to turn three of the charging creatures back to dust but the fourth hesitated at the last moment which placed it out of range of his strike.

After witnessing the fate of its companions, the final hellhound backed off but set its sights on the group of halfbloods in the distance. It rushed towards them, primal hunger and desperation motivating it to transform at least one of the demigods into a tasty meal. From the way it was moving, Spencer already assumed who it was targetting... that white haired lass that looked to be one of the younger ones in the group. Initially, he didn't care what happened to the halfbloods. He assumed that they already had some semblance of training and he wasn't interested just yet to befriend the children of the beings who betrayed him... but he suddenly recalled the face of his friend, Solana, and imagined how disappointed she would be if he did nothing to save her life.

"Bloody hell..." was all Spencer managed to utter before he went after the monster. He realized that he wouldn't be able to catch up to it if he simply ran and the creature was getting closer and closer to its prey. Instinctively, he used shadow travel to get in between the hellhound and the girl before he stretched his arm and materialized his other weapon, an intricate golden pistol. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger and fired a bullet that hit monster right between its eyes. Fortunately, the shot was enough to kill it. Unfortunately, the monster didn't disintegrate quickly enough so it's limp body crashed against Spencer who was sent flying towards the group.

Oliver Morgan

Oliver gave the short girl a confused look, tilting his head the slightest bit as he eyed her. “Most human? You’re just as much a half-blood as we are, ain't ya'?” he questioned. For some reason she seemed to view herself separately from them, despite being in the same basket as the rest of the eggs from Ollie's point of view.

She went on to explain the same things his friend Laura had told him when they had met, about the existence of the Greek gods. The mention of Roman gods was new to him though, he didn’t realize there were more. Yet, even after spending months on the road with a daughter of the God Apollo, even after fighting- well, that may have been a bit if an exaggeration- even after having been toyed with by a minotaur, it still felt a little unreal to hear it said aloud. Even more unreal to think that his father he had never met, the bastard who had knocked up his mother and split, was some divine being.

What she said about the gods vanishing, though. That was news to Oliver, and something his companion had probably not been aware of herself. If the gods were vanishing, what did that mean for their kin? Would he ever be able to find out just who the hell his dad was, or would he be stuck with that question for the rest of yet another short life?

“You’re a real hard case, y’know that?” the boy said, eyeing up the girl who had been talking down to the rest of them. She seemed to have a problem with the lot of them from the get-go. “You’re a half-blood too, yeah? What’s got you on the prod, we ain’t but just met” The cowboy grumbled, shaking his head.

Oliver’s eyes turned to the boy with the odd eyes as he spoke up, nodding along as he suggested they split into groups to search. “Golden boy is right, we should stick together” he agreed, chuckling a bit when Oak used ‘buckaroo’ as a nickname. “Of course, happy to have ya’ friend” Oliver affirmed with a much more confident grin of his own, happy to pair up with Oak.

The grin dropped a moment later as a shrill screech sounded in the distance, dark eyes scanning the trees for the source. The pretty boy, Micah, was quick to duck behind Oliver at the sound. The cowboy chuckled, placing a hand gently on the older boy’s grassy head in reassurance. “First time?” he questioned, eyeing the older boy with a raised brow. “The monsters can definitely be a bit frightful, but don’t you worry. I’ll do what I can to make sure they don’t lay a hand- er, a paw- a claw? A whatever the heck they got, on ya’"

As a faint mist began to creep in around the group, Oliver felt… something. He wasn’t quite sure what, but it was definitely something. Like someone was trying to get his attention, but no-one was there. Then, he did notice something. Oak was digging through his bag, desperately searching for something. “Everything alright, golden boy?” he asked. Oak was talking to thin air, nothing more than a faint shimmer in the mist, and Oliver was beginning to worry for the boy. “Oak, you feeling okay? There ain’t nobody there, compadre"

He followed Oak and the angry girl towards the temple, eyeing both with some concern. Oak because of the episode he had just had, and the girl because she looked like she would hardly make even the short walk. They didn’t make it far before another boy showed up, five abnormal looking dogs on his heel.

From where there was once nothing the boy somehow pulled a large scythe, and Oliver watched as the white-haired boy easily dispatched one of the creatures. As he observed, he eased himself between his group and the newcomers. In the blink of an eye the new boy took care of three more monsters, and Ollie let out a relieved sigh. He hadn’t been prepared to fight any monsters, especially without a weapon of his own.

His relief was short lived though, as the last of the hounds changed direction seeking easier prey in the girl with the white hair. Oliver placed himself between the two, bracing for impact. His heart leapt and he froze in place, once again finding himself staring down a charging beast. The last time he had faced a charging animal, granted one much more ferocious, he had died. Fortunately, the newcomer swooped in just in time to save them.

The defeated monster didn’t stop, though. It crashed into their savior, sending him tumbling into Oliver who in turn winced as he fell back towards the girl. He hoped she wouldn’t be hurt, the most fragile of their little group ending up on the tail end of a game of human dominoes.

The cowboy scrambled to his feet as soon as he was able, quick to check on the girl. She was a bit of a cross-patch, sure, but he didn’t want to see her hurt on his account. While he checked on her, he glanced in the direction of the new half-blood. “Thanks for the save, friend. You really cleaned their plows”

" A defect" Laura said in response to the cowboy's question. That was what she was a defective half blood lacking in everything that made them more than human, and she hated it. It was easy to hate people even easier to hate yourself, and so Laura did it. She had found nothing special or different about her except how pathetic she was. Laura knew she should or would have never been allowed to leave camp for her own safety and had dug herself into the deepest darkest corner she could. " You will get used to it " She continued she didn't expect or want to be nice to the others she didn't want to be around them and part of her was scared that if she didn't push people away they might find something she didn't want to see. " The name is Laura by the way" She decided to add so most others had given their names and she really didn't want some nickname or pet name because she never said hers.

Then the monsters came, Laura having only human if that reactions was not the fastest on the draw and yet even a normal human can be fast when they wanted to be, Her hands dove into her backpack, which by now to any around her carried more than it should. The truth was it was more or less a bag of holding and the space inside was far bigger than outside. It was an enchantment she had even used to make rooms in camp to store extra stuff she accumulated. Inside her backpack were her guns and with them even multiple hellhounds, well there was a good chance they would get her but she would take a few down with her. Still something or rather someone else came with the hellhounds another half blood with a scythe and now Laura wasn't even different due to one of her defects as he was a fucking albino. Really did half blood have to steal everything from her even her problems?

The path to the hound charging at Laura as the others were easily killed, however was blocked by the damned cowboy. Laura knew why he was doing it, or at least assumed she did , he was protecting the weakest member unaware she was just about the only person that was armed. Laura didn't even have time to complain as something or rather someone impacted with the cowboy and he fell backwards right onto her. Laura as she was falling thanks to being falling onto let out a rather loud and scared yelp that was rather unfitting of her angry fierce image. The rage that Laura was known for at camp and here was quickly rekindled as she found herself below two people " Get the fuck off me" She said already having issues breathing from the walk and now being crushed.

Oliver much to laura's joy was quickly off her letting her breath " Fuck you are stupid aren't you?" She asked the cowboy " You don't have a fucking weapons that is death, I am armed, I can kill the monsters with something other than my hands" She grumbled as she got up. Laura sighed " Remind me after we find the idiot that wrote the post to make you something so next time you feel like doing something stupid you might not die" She finished barely even acknowledging the other albino or thanking him.

- Oak Fowlis -

“I-“ Oak hesitated at first when Oliver asked. Should he tell the others about his sight? He decided against it, quietly standing up and giving the Cowboy a small grin. “I’m okay. It happen sometimes when I don’t take my meds.” Not that he took them today either. On purpose.

Then Laura piped up, causing Oak to flinch. Not that he did have horrible memories for taking pills, but she’s not wrong about the amount either. “I don’t know. I’ve lost count.” She mentioned about knowing who his father is—-does she mean that his dad is one of the Roman or Greek gods? That’s an odd thought, yet there’s at least two people here that know they are half-bloods. Children of gods and human. This is really hard to get his head around and yet…maybe he should tell them. If they are what they claim they are, then perhaps he’s one too? It would explain why he can see the dead.

With that in mind, the runner sighed. ”. . . I can talk with the spir-—!” Everything happened in a split second. A gun shoot broke the eerie silence, followed by dogs barking. Oak jerked to a stop besides Laura with wide eyes. He didn‘t even notice Laura’s quick reaction to grab a weapon nor Oliver’s defensive stance. His golden eyes are stuck on the tall guy with five freakishly creepy looking dogs. Though it seems like the mysterious stranger knew what he was doing, killing off each one with a —-is that a scythe?! In thin air?! Wait?!! What?! Once again, Oak felt like he had to believe this gods business is real——and for the last one that’s coming towards them, the same stranger dived to his own shadows to kill the last one—

Oak took a step to the side instinctively, forgetting to grab Laura in the process and winced as everyone fell into each other. His eyes looked at the dog that’s disintegrating for a quick second before helping Oliver get off of Laura by grabbing his arm to pull up. Watching her get up on her own with a bit of worry in case she did have problems standing—- can you blame him? She looks like she can keel over in a second! However his worry went away as she started to scold Oliver for shielding her. Knowing she and Oliver are okay, Oak went over to the stranger to help him get up too, by lending a hand.

“Yeah, thank you for your help.” He said with a small grin. Wary of the guy, but willing to interact since he did save them.

Micah Son of Aphrodite Location: Camp Ivy Mentions: Katsuya Katsuya IDKnuggets IDKnuggets Karcen Karcen Zenritch Zenritch

A lot had happened in the small time frame from when Micah hid behind the cowboy to when the new addition showed up. First, he came to the conclusion that out of everyone in the group, the cowboy guy, despite his constant LARPing, was the most normal one. The white-haired girl, who later identified herself as Laura, gave him the creeps. And Oak, who appeared to be normal, had a small episode. He looked frightened and mumbled words that Micah couldn't pick up. It was as if he saw something no one else in the camp could witness. Though, he was partial to the cowboy because of his comforting aura.

Second, Laura began educating them about the existence and disappearance of the gods, confirming everything the Reddit post had mentioned. "Wait wait wait," Micah tried to feign ignorance. "So you're saying the GODS are real? Like the Greek and Roman ones I read about online?" He did his best to ignore the nagging feeling that maybe, to some extent, she was right. Why else had he shown up? But if that were true then who could his godly parent be? Probably no one of significance considering his frail nature.

Finally, before Oak could finish his sentence, there was a loud bang followed by the cries of giant... wolves? Before Micah could process what the creatures were, someone else had flown directly into Laura. The first thing on the boy's mind wasn't whether or not they were okay, but if Laura had plans to bring out her giant big thing and attack the poor fellow. Thankfully, it appeared that wouldn't be happening and there was a sigh of relief and a small chuckle, "You must enjoy making grand entrances."

Information About: The Temple

For when we choose to enter the Temple

The temple is located near the center of Camp Ivy. It was most likely placed there in honor of the gods and served as a way for the half-bloods to connect and honor their godly parents, as well as other gods they wished to be blessed by. The outside of the building is in pristine condition, opposite the rest of the camp which was mostly in shambles. Whatever had attacked could not attack the temple, most likely due to the gods. The building itself is made of marble and stone that glistens in the sun and is the largest building within the camp, outside of the arena and amphitheater.

Upon entering the building, there is a clear shift in the atmosphere. It's heavy, quiet, and almost somber-esque. If someone were to speak, it would echo and reverberate across the temple. The interior was empty but heavily decorated with intricate designs on the floor, ceiling, and walls. There were pillars that separated the main room from the back room, and within the main room stood 13 large statues featuring greek gods. The statues towered above all and stood at around 30 feet tall. Within the center was Zeus. To the right of Zeus was Hera, Demeter, Athena, Artemis, Aphrodite, and Hestia. To the left of Zeus was Posideon, Ares, Apollo, Hephestus, Hermes, and Dionysis.

In the back room, behind the pillars was another row of statues. These statues stood at about 10 feet tall and contained additional greek gods such as Thanatos, Nike, Hebe, Hectate, Iris, Hypnos, Nemesis, Tyche, Hestia, Persephone, the list continues.

One thing to mention about the statues is that there is a small box in front of each, with a golden plaque above it. The box was most likely there for offerings, and anything placed inside it would eventually dissipate. The plaque read their names. Additionally, all statues remain in pristine condition.

Finally, there is no statue of Hades to be seen within the temple.

oh? sweetheart, you can't break

HE STOOD OUTSIDE THE INTERNET CAFE, gaze hallowed but more alive than he had been the past few months. His fingers curled into the callouses of his palm, leaving crescent-shaped indents, questioning why he bothered. He sighed. The raven-haired male reached to drag a hand through his hair, pushing the door open with a quick bump of his shoulder.

His azure-tinted hues scanned the semi-pleasant atmosphere the online cafe offered. It was nice, but Azure wouldn’t come back. His nose crinkled at the pastel colors. Too fucking bright. He grumbled. Damnit. Why the hell was he here? He snorted, reaching to pinch the bridge of his nose. The notion brought a few people to glance his way, curiosity sparkling within their hues as they remained blissfully aware of the dangers the world offered. He hated it, but Azure had no intentions of wishing his life onto others.

It was his life to remember. To live. Not anyone else’s. He fucked up in his past life and this was his punishment. Perhaps fate knew what he’d grown into. A monster. He bit back a snarl. His longer canines digging into the soft flesh of his bottom lip, worrying it until he drew beads of blood. He continually attacked the bruised flesh, enjoying the brief sensation of pain it brought, distracting him.

Sure as hell going to need it. Azure wasn’t sure what he was about to do was stupid or just pain being a dumbass that enjoyed wallowing in pain. He snorted. Some sick bastard he was, wasn’t he? The male let out a huff at that.

He padded deeper into the cafe, choosing a computer towards the back, away from the few people that were sprinkled towards the front. His fingers slipped around the back of the plush chair, pulling it back to sit.

He seemed on autopilot, logging in and checking social media. His heart clenched at the missing person’s post on the few he’d left behind. It hurt. He wasn’t sure why he continued to check up on them, but the male couldn’t stand not knowing if they were alright or not. It hurt, but at least he knew they were safe.

Far safer than they would have been with a monster like him. It had been his fault. His damn mother would remind him constantly.

The memories resurfaced, enveloping Azure in a black fog. His frame shook with dry sobs, hand coming to press against his face. His body hunched over the desk, the sobs turning into silent laughter. Gods. He was fucked.

Mason rubbed his face in lazy counterclockwise circles to regain his ego back. He shook his head, raven-haired locks brushing against his forehead with the simple movement.

The male scrolled through Reddit. He hadn’t been paying attention until the words of Mt. Olympian caught his attention. His brows furrowed. The fuck? He glanced around. His lips puckered in thought. What the fuck is this? The Gods were missing? He wondered if this was some sick joke for passing demi-gods that didn’t know what else to do with their lives except scrolling through Reddit. Like him. He was a dumbass. Not that he’d admit that out loud to anyone.

He clicked on the post, watching the text expand to note the user’s name. Axel Hernandez. He leaned forward until his nose grazed across the heated screen, fingers interlocked, chin resting against his knees with his elbows on the table. He made a thoughtful hum. Someone who’s brave, huh? He had little to lose, not anymore. He had nothing. Azure was fine with that. He was fine being alone even if the thought scared the shit out of him. It was fine. He deserved this. He deserved a lot of things, but he’d rather not get into that. Not now, anyway.

xx° xx° it read at the bottom on xx day. He glanced at the clock in the bottom right of the screen, showing xx in white Arial font. Guess it’s my lucky day. He snorted. The male clicking out of the webpage, logging out of the computer and paying the worker without glancing up.

His mind somewhere else as he slipped out of the online cafe, gliding down the pavement with ease. His hands stuffed in the outer pockets of his black trench coat that fluttered behind him, showcasing his black attire. He looked ready to go to a funeral.

He wore a tight fitted compression shirt that hugged his frame. It was paired with black fitted dress pants where two black belts wrapped around his left upper thigh and a black belt with a silver glaze. His favorite pair of black calf-high bots that tied at the front, followed by six straps, fastened with silver tinted buckets.
It was comfortable as it was sensible. The male slipped into an alleyway further away from the online cafe. His body gravitating towards the dumpster where he hid his weapons he received during his brief stay at Camp Half-Blood.

He bent down, fingers curling around the sheath of his katana-like sword that resembled that of a jian sword but possessed the familiar curve the katana possessed. It wasn’t long, but it was one of his more cherished weapons. He brushed his trench coat out of the way, fastening the sheath to his back belt loops with the leather straps. He hummed in satisfaction, tugging at the object to make sure it was secured.

Mason shifted, tugging his trench coat off, tossing it over his shoulder to reveal two black straps that criss-crossed in an X that held his other weapons. The male reached to grab the Hsu Quandao, resembling that of a Chinese glaive-like weapon with a white cream-colored cloth covering the blade. He strapped it to his back with minor difficulty, proceeding to strap his enclosed scythe, the blade folded into itself.

He didn’t need to get pricked. He learned his lesson the last time he forgot to fold the blade, resulting in some injuries that Sinikka cursed at him for. He snickered at the memory, lips curled in a brief smile only to pause. The smile slipping away seconds later. Azure sighed, slipping the familiar black cloth onto his arms, concealing the three weapons save for the two attached to his back, the heads peaking out from the collar.

He supposed it was time to walk. He’d been tempted to call a cab, but the last time he rode with the three women resulted in him getting kicked out. Not so pleasant memories. Besides. He didn’t have money save for the few American bills he stashed into a small book bag, using the last at the cafe.

This better be fucking real.

He stood, staring at the entrance of Camp Ivy, brows furrowed at the mess laid before him. What the fuck happened? He frowned, worry pooling into his stomach. He sure as hell hoped whoever was here had gotten away. He wasn’t to keen on staring down at corpses. He’d seen enough of them to last him a lifetime. Sure as hell didn’t need another reason to not sleep at night.

The azure-hued male shuffled forward, noting the damage. His gaze narrowing, hand reaching to clutch the hilt of his double-edged sword. The grip turning his skin milky white, contrasting against the his pale skin. He breathed through parted lips, ignoring the slight sting as the air brushed against the wounds along his bottom lip.

He let out a rumble that vibrated deep within his throat. The male gravitating towards what appeared to be the temple that lived within Camp Ivory. His nose scrunched up at the sight of it. He wondered how narcissistic and selfish those bastards were. Some parents, they were. He laughed bitterly. He wanted nothing to do with them, but curiosity won over his sensible hatred for them.

If his father remotely cared for him, the asshole would have done something. Instead, the asshole sat on his high chair, undoubtedly wondering how he had such as worthless son. He grinned, hues darkening to a midnight hue. He was pissed, but the God wasn’t to blame. It was his own damn fault.

“What the fuck happened to this place?” He muttered. His boot kicking at a tossed bow and arrow. His brows furrowed. “Better not be any damn bodies. I’m walking the other way.” He hissed through clenched teeth. He was serious. The first sight of anything remotely like a corpse? He was walking away.

He padded closer to the temple, head tilting to survey his surrounds once more. He had seen nothing save for the occasional noise, no doubt monsters but it seemed safe enough. His muscles twitched in anticipation.

Mason slipping inside to observe what was left. It seemed to be some worshiping area for the campers that stayed here. He huffed. Of course. It laid, untouched by the chaos with pristine marble that made him sick to his stomach.

He ignored the odd feeling within, noting the thirteen statues that towered above him some feet tall. He blinked. Egotistical, much? To the left he noted Hephaestus. His lips curled into a sneer. His hand slipped from grasping the hilt, flipping the status off with as much venom he could muster. Was he being stupid? Undoubtedly. Did he give a shit? Certainly not. The asshole claimed him, but then what? Nothing.

He paused, head cocked. “Where the fuck is Hades?” He quipped. His voice echoed throughout the temple, glancing around in case he’d missed it. Nope. It wasn’t here. “Isn’t this fucking fantastic?” He mused. His hands tucked themselves into the front pockets of his trench coat.

He remained standing in the center, lost in thought. His body shifted at the faint trace of voices. His fingers lazily drifting to his sword, fingers curling around the smooth material of his blade. “Fan-fucking-tastic.” He huffed. What else? Monsters appearing inside? He sure as hell hoped it was people otherwise they’d meet one very pissed off demi-god.

It had been a long day, honestly, how did any one person expect her to do this much? She knew that that person was her, but it was still unfair. She had been driving for what felt like hours (it in fact had not nearly been 20 minutes). But she had somehow faced more monsters in this one drive than she had in her entire childhood, it was like they knew she was planning on helping to save the world, even if that wasn’t quite her plan. In either situation, she had been using magic the entire way, trying to keep a shield in front of her car the whole time, slamming into monsters left and right. She felt like she was in one of those zombie game commercials. But it was because of this that her arms were stained black and littered with stars, her eyes a perfect reflection of the night to come.

She hadn't even noticed it, so when she swerved to avoid a wolf-like... thing, she looked down at her arms. "Shit!" The word escaped her lips before she had time to stop it, was simply an initial vulgar response to her excessive use of magic. She contemplated halting her magic, considering it a whole 3 seconds until she heard a smack. You know, she felt having her arms look like the night sky was a good exchange for not dying. She took a big gulp of air "You got this Nisha" WIth a swipe of her hand the road in front of her was covered in darkness, and her arms to her shoulder now carried the effect of her magic. Nisha traveled the rest of the way in this sense, a small shield around her car, and a short radius of darkness. She knew she was pushing it, knew that this could have disastrous results, but she didn't know what else to do. She didn't want to end up as he mother did.

Checking her phone from time to time, she somehow ended up at her destination. It looked like a camp, she had never been here though it seemed a perfect candidate for a new home, that is if it wasn't destroyed. She turned off the engine and slid out of the car, locking it tight. She looked at it weirdly, sure it was a dark gray, but it still looked odd containing the nature around. Nisha, again, looked at her arms, she felt as if she were turning into the night itself. She let out a suppressed sigh and started to slowly head into the camp.

***

As Nisha walked into the camp, she looked around. Eyes scanning she saw a group of, what she assumed, half-bloods. Like her. Like each other. She had been in several camps, but this felt different, something was actually going on. She was starting to regret her decision to just ditch the house, she knew that her stepmom would be more than worried when she was that Nisha and the van were gone. She shrugged it off and kept walking.

She wasn't sorry she missed whatever... tenseness must have passed, but there were definitely some people who looked like they were ready to fight... Maybe she shouldn't have come, but she had already come this far. So on and on she went till she was around 5-10 feet from everyone in the group, then, and only then, did she introduce her presence.

"Sooo... we all here from reddit?"

Oliver Morgan

A pang of guilt shot through Oliver as the tiny girl let out a fearful yelp from beneath him. He had scrambled to his feet as quickly as he could, with some assistance from Oak who helped pull the cowboy up by his arm.

While Oak helped the stranger up, Ollie checked on the albino girl- Laura. Her already famous anger was quick to return as she began to cuss him out before she even got to her feet. Oliver stared shamefully at his own feet as she berated him, a faint pink dusting his cheeks in embarrassment as the tiny and frail girl lectured him like a child.

“Didn’t know you had a weapon in that bag of yours” he said apologetically, rubbing the back of his neck. “Thought you was as good as monster feed for a second there. Thing was so quick, getting atween y’all was the only thing I could think to do”

Oliver’s dark brown eyes lit up, leaping from his feet to Laura’s face in an instant. “Make me something? Wouldn't that be a daisy!” he said enthusiastically, “I’ve been stuck standing back while Laura- my Laura, that is- fought all the monsters. Felt darn useless making her take care of me like that”

He and Laura O’Keane had come across a few monsters while traveling, and as Ollie said she had been the one to take care of each and every one. Worst yet, they seemed to be a real magnet for the beasties. Even worse than your usual half-blood was, according to Laura. She was forced to fight more monsters in a week’s time than she had fought in months on her own.

Oliver tilted his head at the white-haired girl before him, humming thoughtfully to himself. “Said your name was Laura, huh?” he mused. “I already know a Laura, that girl I was asking after before. Think I’ll call you…” his head tilted back, tapping on a foot against the dirt and looking to the sky as he thought. “Ghostie Von Grumpybritches,” he finally settled on the ridiculous name, “on account of you being so grumpy. And lookin’ half way to the grave already”

The hat slipped off of his head as Ollie leaned back further, looking upside down behind him without turning around. One of his hands shot out, snatching the thing back halfway through it’s fall. His attention had been grabbed by a new voice, one that fortunately didn’t seem to have brought any more surprises with it.

“I don’t know where this ‘reddit’ is, but sounds like just about everyone came from there” Oliver said with some confusion. Must be an awful big city, all these half-bloods heading the same way out of there and not running into eachother. “I came from Oregon myself, a big city name of Eugene”

The cowboy spun on his heels, straightening as he did and settling his hat back where it belonged atop his head. Now that he was right-side up he could get a better look at their latest arrival, a person with nice curly hair and scars that looked to be from some clawed monster or animal. He rested a hand on each Micah and Oak’s shoulders, looking between both the new arrivals with a warm and welcoming smile.

“we were just getting ready to check that there temple, see if we can’t find the fella that led us all here” Ollie told them, jerking his head in the direction of the temple before spinning on his heels and heading towards it. The towering building of marble and stone was unlike any house of worship Oliver had ever seen and had somehow been spared from the chaos and destruction that had come to everything around it.

Camp Ivy...I've made it!
1667940333319.png"So this is it."At the main entrance of the camp known to demigods as Camp Ivy, was a young man that goes by the name Julian, or even JJ. He stood six foot five, wearing an all black attire consisting of a black Dreamville hoodie, black joggers, black and white sneakers, and a black Atlanta Braves fitted hat. He carried a black traveling bag going across his body, filled with essentials and even a spare change of clothes if he needed it. He stood there, taking it all in as the wind blew across his face carrying an eerie sensation through the air. The young man couldn't shake the feeling as if he was being watched. He's been feeling this way ever since he was close to arriving. After scanning his surrounds and still not seeing anything, his head lifted up towards the bright sun letting its warmth figuratively wrap itself around him easing his mind. There was something about taking a moment and relaxing in the sun that made him feel at ease. He took this moment for himself to reminisce about the events that led to him being here today.

A couple of days before today, Julian was relaxing at home alongside his legal guardian which was his mother's father. His grandfather has been raising Julian ever since his mother passed giving birth to him. It was a tough time for his grandfather; however, being the son of Mars he stayed strong and persevered. Julian's father was an unknown matter, do to him only being around his mother for a short period of time before disappearing, never to be seen again. his mother had no idea of the true identity of Julian's father, so the thought of Julian being a demi-titan or god ever crossed their mind. Julian's grandfather raised him as if he was his very own son, teaching him everything he knew about the world; even things about the greek and roman mythology. However, they were always worded and expressed as nothing but bedtime stories putting little Julian to bed. Julian was always fond of his grandfather's stories, even as he got older. From time to time, he'll ask his grandfather to tell him a story, in which his grandfather tells him a "made up" story about a quest he went on. It wasn't until Julian turned sixteen, when things slowly started to come to light.

On his birthday Julian and his grandfather was just wrapping up the birthday party that was thrown for him. Amongst the already opened gifts and torn wrapping paper, was a small red box wrapped with a golden bow, with an unique symbol stamped on it. Attached to the box, was a tag that read "To: Julian, From: Your father, Hyperion". In that moment, Julian dawned a confused and surprised look upon his face, where as his grandfather was literally frozen in place. This was the first time Julian has ever seen his grandfather like that, as well as something pertaining to his father. He was both concerned and curious; however, that didn't stop him from opening the box. Upon, opening the box, there was a golden necklace with an pendent in the shape of the same symbol that was on the box. He held it up glancing at his grandfather, who was now coming to his senses. The only words he uttered were, "That is a gift from your father, a powerful titan known to the Greeks as Hyperion." Julian was too stunned to speak and allowed for his grandfather to explain more, pulling back the curtains blinding Julian from the truth. From that point on, Julian's world turned upside down. His grandfather took him to the one and only Camp Jupiter; where the two of them, alongside others, honed his skills as a demi-titan and a legacy. After being at the camp for a little over a year, Julian had received his first prophecy and quest. He was informed of the situation, and had been tasked with going to Camp Ivy and aid Axel Hernandez with his mission. Gladly accepting it, the young man packed his bag and was off, bringing us to today.

Bringing Julian back down to Earth, was the screeching noise of a Harpy or Harpies somewhere off in the distance. Immediately snapping his head towards the skies around him, he scanned them in search of the source. "Dammit. I need to get going, before shit hits the fan." He said to him as he didn't see anything. He just didn't want to be around to find out. Bringing his attention straight ahead, he took off through the camp's gates. He was surprised at the mere destruction within the camp's grounds. "The hell happened here? Where is everyone?" He asked himself as he began slowing his pace looking around. Catching his attention, was an unscathed marble temple standing tall and proudly within the center of the camp, glistening in the sun. "The only building left standing. That must be where Axel is?" He spoke to himself assuming the best in this situation. He made a b-line straight for the temple slowly walking inside. He scanned his surrounding, refraining from calling out helplessly. The first thing he noticed were the giant fucking statues of the gods and goddesses. He lets out a high pitched whistle in awe as he lifts his head, slowly scanning the statues looking at them all. "These are huge dawg!" He said before bringing his attention back down towards the rest of the room. That's when he noticed he wasn't alone. There was a raven haired male standing with the temple as well. "Yo!" He called out to him. "Are you Axel? I've come to help." He spoke staying in his current spot keeping his distance from the male just in case he just wasn't Axel, but something worse.

- Oak Fowlis -

As he semi-listened to Laura mentioning about making weapons, Oak pulled the taller man back up on his feet. Then he took a step back, not wanting him to shoot his face off. Extreme thought? Yes, but he rather not piss off the guy with the gun. Not that they were any better with Laura potentially doing the same.

With a deep breathe to calm down his already frazzled nerves, Oak simply pulled his bag’s strap closer and went back over to Oliver, Laura, and Micah’s sides. Only to pause and cough, holding back his amused and nervous chuckle. Oliver did not just call Laura that nickname. “Um…” This is hard. He wanted to laugh and at the same time, he’s trying not to. Before he mentions about going in the temple as a distraction, another voice piped up. A girl’s voice. His head turned to where he saw the young woman with curly hair and scars on her face. He kept his eyes to hers though, just blinking owlishly. More people came.

His golden eyes peeked over to Oliver when he spoke up, feeling a heavy gloved hand on his shoulder. Relaxing a bit under the reassuring touch. It was fleeting, but within the short amount of time, Oak felt like he trust Oliver for some reason. Perhaps it’s because he’s a bit of a cowboy with odd yet charming manners. That might be it, Oak thought before following up the cowboy’s words to the new girl.

”Yeah, some of us gathered because the Reddit post too. Come on.” Oak grinned at her before walking towards the temple. “I’m Oak from L.A. Nice to meet ya.”

He is still a bit shaky from the sudden appearance of the guy with the gun and the spirits, but he believes he could manage for now. Maybe it was a good thing that he hadn’t taken his meds today. Though he never had his mind run this fast for a long while…

As they started walking up the stairs and went inside the temple, Oak’s eyes widened with how massive it is inside. “Woah…”

He could hear his voice echoing.

Woah.’

’Woa-‘

’..oh.’

”Is it just me or does this place feel …Ominous…no…um…”
Oak thought about what’s the right word to describe inside the temple while walking in. He could feel a slight pressure in his chest. Like something or someone is squeezing his lungs. Oak decided to stay a bit close to Micah and Oliver as he took each hesitant step forward. Minutely squeezing his bag’s strap with a fist before releasing and doing it again. Trying to relieve some anxiety and restlessness. Why did the spirit tell him to go in here? Why couldn’t Axel go somewhere else that’s not-

“Heavy. Is it normal for temples to feel this heavy and sad?” Oak asked to no one in particular, not exactly expecting an answer either. His eyes darting everywhere as he observed the statues around them. Feeling like they are staring down at them or something.

If glares could kill then Oliver would be dead many times over by how how hatefully Laura glared at him as he spoke the ridiculous name. She had for a moment a very tiny moment thought he might actually have any faith in her, that for once someone would see her skill. The nickname however, squashed any of that and reminded Laura exactly what other thought of her. She was angry yes that was fair for both parties, but reminding her of her own shortcomings, that Laura hated. She hated to be told that she was just some short ugly defective half blood. She didn't get to pick how she looked or how much power she had so why did she have to be reminded of that all the time. The idea it was a light hearted joke didn't even cross laura's mind she was to used to others being malicious and her thinking of how others hated her.

" If you are going to insult me constantly you could at least be fucking creative" Laura growled never one to hide her anger even if no one understood it " Just call me Laura, or ghost or given you feel the need to demean me defect or shut in fucking works" she continued if she was going to be insulted at least she would get to pick the insult over letting it be some seemingly funny nickname instead of the jab it was.

Then a new girl spoke up another fucking half blood wasn't that just fucking what the needed? Laura let the others answer the girl's question for her, though she had a different answer then them as to why she was here, she didn't need reddit just a dead woman in an attic. Then Oak went into the temple and asked what Laura saw as a stupid question " That's just you these fucks don't give to shits about who is looking at them only that people are, and if they really fucking cared they could come in person instead hiding their asses somewhere safe" She continued not fearing that the gods might come to strike her down as she knew she was not important in their eyes an insect to be ignored " Lets just fucking do this and maybe if you fucker ask nicely I will arm you you with actual fucking weapons fitting half bloods" She said her tone going smug as she felt she could do something they couldn't.

Did.... Did cowboy man really just say that to Laura? Micah, who by this point was sitting flat on his ass in astonishment, blinked a few times before pulling himself back up and trying his hardest not to break out in a laughing fit. The nickname was well suited, but based on Laura's intimidating gaze, Micah began mentally preparing for Oliver's funeral. They hadn't known each other long but he was a good fella. Micah, on the other hand, kept his cool. He was not interested in dying, not yet at least.

When the new girl made her appearance, Micah was already walking towards the Temple with the rest of the group. Oak seemed to cover the very basics of what was happening which was enough. After all, no one really knew what was going on. Well, Laura seemed to have a better idea of it but Micah was far too confused to fully process any of the information she was sharing. The idea of being the child of a greek god seemed farfetched, despite witnessing weapons materializing and giant deadly hounds.

The large marble and stone building the group was headed too appeared small from a distance, but the closer he got, the larger it became. The Temple towered above the young half-blood, as if it were built for something inhuman. The interior, with the large statues depicting the Greek gods and the intricately designed ceiling, suited it's massive exterior. The aura that developed in the Temple was somber yet heavy, for a moment he forgot to breath. Everything about it was unearthly. The gazes of the 13 Gods which decorated the room were sharp, no matter where you stood, they all seemed to be staring directly into you. Aphrodite's was most prevalent for Micah, but only for a short moment.

In the distance, Micah had noticed two figures. They both appeared very human, and must have arrived much sooner than the rest of the group. Hopefully they were friendly, but before Micah could really say anything, the ground began to shake violently. Micah fell to the floor, cursing silently at himself in the process. An earthquake? No, the loud screeching proved that thought wrong. However, this time around, it wasn't just one screech but multiple. The boy was unable to count how many, but enough to scare the shit out of him. The rumbling eventually subsided followed by a clacking noise. A tape recorder had fallen off of the Hermes statue and began playing.

Playing last recording.
There was static.
"Is- Is this th-" There was another moment of static and then the echo of a loud, bloodcurdling screech in the background. "-working? Ah, there it goes! Hello everyone!" Another loud screech proceeded before the exasperated man spoke. "So, I don't have too much time to explain all of this but-" There was a loud thud, and then an audible grunt. In the background, the man could be heard cussing over his scrapped knee before hushing himself.

Then, there was rustling. And finally, silence. "Sorry about that. This Harpy won't give me two seconds to breathe! Being the son of Hermes does not equate to being fit, they don't tell you that in training!" In the background, the faint sound of screeching could be heard. "Honestly, those things are UGLY.

But besides that, I don't have much time. If you're hearing this, then that means you saw my Reddit post, successfully made it to Camp Ivy, and managed to find your way to the Temple of gods without dying! Congrats! That's the easy part over with! I applaud you for your efforts. Now, it's time to get down to busine-"
The recording cut out and the sound of static returned. The static seemed endless. For a moment, Micah thought about the audio had ended but the recording wasn't over. The man cut back in.

"-nd there should be a few weapons you can steal from the weapon storage! Or, whatever remains of it. Don't worry, the counselors won't mind. Anyways, I wish you luck and I'll see you in Olympus!"

Click.
Recording ended.

If he hadn't made it more obvious prior to this, Micah was clueless. The audio recording made absolutely no sense, but it did suggest that the one who brought them there, Axel, was not anywhere in Camp Ivy. "Are you kidding me?!" He mumbled something inaudible under his breath, "So we're not supposed to be here? What now??"

The ground rumbled again, there was banging sound that echoed throughout the forest. For whatever reason, whatever was outside was angry. And that tape just made it angrier.
