Days before, Louisa had finally folded to her friends ever-growing pleas to hang out. There were many reasons why she was hesitant; first of all, her friend, Elaine, was quite the wild one. She frequently partied, had late night rendezvous with strangers, and even boasted of her relations to inhuman creatures, vampires. On the contrast, Louisa was a fairly sheltered, quiet, girl who typically enjoyed staying at home and out out of trouble. It wasn't much of a surprise that she'd give in, eventually. Her friend was quite persistent, and though Louisa wouldn't admit it to herself, she was mildly curious of the supernatural creatures.
For her entire life, she'd been in fear of vampires. Over the years, she'd heard of the many humans who had been murdered because of their entanglement in vampire affairs. Even when she walked home at night, there was always this fear that she'd be attacked by one and ridden of blood. However, whenever she saw them from a distance, there was something about their auras that she found incredibly attractive, something that always sent a shiver down her spine. Nonetheless, she'd never interacted with one; at least, she thought so.
Elaine had raved about this particular club, saying that this is were she met most of her friends and where the best parties happened. Hearing just those words made butterflies flutter in Louisa's stomach. She spent a couple hours prior preparing, and she didn't know quite what to wear. That's were her friend stepped in. Her usual natural makeup was replaced with something a little flashier: long black winged eyeliner with a smokey lower lash line. Her lips remained a natural reddish-pink color and her hair was wavy. She wore all-black: black jeans, a black shoulder-less top, and black platform shoes. Many people in this club seemed to dress similarly. Her new appearance only made her even more nervous. No matter how many times Elaine told her, she still didn't think she looked good. Not anywhere near the other beautiful girls and guys that were in the club, she felt.
Once inside, Elaine was immediately dragged onto the dance floor, which left Louisa standing awkwardly in a corner. So much for introductions.
