A Certain Truth
Our story takes place in the quaint, business-minded city of Tanagawi, located in the industrial region of Japan. The city is famous for it's rich production industry, and is nestled on most sides by farm-rich countryside. A city mostly known for it's production rates, Tanagawi is reasonably large for it's kind. Despite this, the city is not all that much on the famous side.
Perhaps the most well-known attraction the city has to offer is it's yearly fireworks festival, which is held each year at dusk on June 28.
Little do any of the inhabitants of Tanagawi, or the rest of the world, for that matter, know that on the eve of the fireworks festival this year; the world will end. The God of this world is fading with old age, one Deus Ex Machina. He has served many a millennium as the creator and up-keeper of time and space, and fears of the disastrous effects his impending death will impose upon the world he has looked after for so long. With no other way to prevent the end of the world, Deus has set to look for the rightful heir to his lofty throne of Godhood; casting a glance into the fateful city of Tanagawi, of all places, to search for one.
However, he was met with a dilemma.
Instead of one worthy successor, Deus found twelve. With all equal in qualities that would prove them worthy of ascending his Godly throne, the lord of time and space knew he had to find a way to pick his heir from the group; and quickly.
With only four months left before the inevitable end of the world and the famous Tanagawi fireworks festival, Deus gathered his potential replacements under one roof; after having sent his faithful imp servant MurMur to bestow upon them each a gift. A gift, that they would use to earn their place as the new God of the universe.

Our story will start 4 months prior to the impending end of the world, with our 12 Diary Keepers being summoned by Deus to tell of the rules of our Survival Game. This RP is, obviously, set in an alternate universe to that of the original series; in which our 12 OCs take the place of the original cast in an all new location with all new rules. As for what happens from there, it is largely up to the ones participating. Will there be love? Death? Betrayal? Will the world cease to exist, or will one worthy player ascend to the throne of God? Only time, which we do not have much of, will tell. Just remember...
