I am eating these ideas up !! hopefully will share some things about the cs soon. I wanna try spice it up but we will see — maybe some type of stat system (mainly for aesthetics since rolls aren’t really my jam, mainly will focus on the content of y’alls writing).

while I’ll be controlling most of the npcs, my main sort of characters will probably be an ode to sam b with some kind of music performer and possibly a local who works at the hotel.

that reminds me! feel free to add your own sprinkles into the lore and world. maybe there is a surfing competition happening on the island this year, or maybe your character won a trip to the island, or whatever really as long as it fits and isnt completely outlandish.

not me missing such an important aspect of the setting. I was just going for the here and now, so 2023! If we want specifics I’m thinking october which will give us some scorching weather.

as for age, nothing in particular. I really do love diversity of age but will specify this in the cs that children 16 or younger cannot be ‘main characters’ and any mentions of children (death specifically) in this role play need to be done tastefully and y’know just don’t be weird about it. you want to make a 70+ year old — go crazy!

I love this idea. I'm thinking of a character in his 40s. Mean and grumpy veteran with a prosthetic leg that he's still getting used to. Not a hero type, not a people type either. But he'd stick to a group and hate the fact he's much more vulnerable than he used to be. He'd probably have a dog companion, an obese and silly but endearing pug.

This is a really fun concept, I love it. Thinking of making a freshly graduated, new to the streets, first or second day on the job EMT. Just an average joe type of guy, was a lifeguard working for the resort before getting certified. A young adult just looking to help people out, that ended up getting shafted into probably the worst profession to be in at a time like this.

OR a fitness instructor who's hooked on self-improvement and wellness... trying to cleanse themselves of a troubled past through yoga and Just Smiling... has problems with managing anger/any kind of disappointment

I love these ideas omg. I’m now thinking of making a bored housewife who married her husband for money and is on a holiday with him and her annoying kids. knowing me I’ll make a bunch hehe.

while I do want the tone to be mainly serious, I do highly encourage the more funny elements such as these character concepts who obviously exist but add some humour.

im hoping to work on the cs thread tonight and have it up! just reusing an old one and adding some new elements so shouldn’t take too long!!
