Is it possible for me to play as Winslow Schott AKA Toyman?

What did you have in mind for him?

I am thinking about reworking his origin to make him a German-American toymaker with a Willy Wonka-like persona. Of course, he turns evil after Lex Luthor screws him over in a deal and he turns into a crook but still retains the Willy Wonka look and his toys are more whimisical in this version.

Did you want to play a hero as well? I assume you'd get bored when inevitably Schott ends up in Arkham the first time, lol. You could play his son as well, similar to the character in the Supergirl tv series, if you wanted. You could give Winn the Guardian superhero persona or something else. Depends on what you think, though.

Unoriginal Name, awesome character sheet . I do ask though that you employ some sort of boundary to prevent Zatanna from being too over-powered. Perhaps her youth and limited experience prevent her from accomplishing godly feats such as reality warping and the like just by stating her desire backwards? Perhaps speaking the words backwards is the easy part, but she has to gauge the amount of magical energy the spell will require, and if she says something backwards that she lacks the stamina or magical reserves to accomplish, she risks physical harm or death?

I know your description said she has access to untapped raw power, but perhaps she still needs adequate stamina and focus to channel that power without hurting herself? You could also say her father placed a hidden seal on her powers when she was younger because they were developing faster than she could control them and she risked destroying herself and the entire neighborhood when she was having a childhood nightmare or something.

Simple magic would come easier to her, but we want to make sure she can't say "The sky is purple and the grass is cotton candy" backwards and suddenly reality changes to match what she said, lol.

I have two ideas for a OC hero. Either a human Blue Lantern or a guy who wad given powers by Bast. Which one is more interesting to you?

Well, I'd like to hold off on Lanterns being involved just yet, as I want to minimize aliens on Earth before the Reach story arc. I suppose you could say your character found a Blue Lantern ring encrusted inside a meteorite that crashed down when he was stargazing one night, but thus far he hasn't realized there are other Lanterns out there in the galaxy, perhaps.

Yeah, sorry, I’ll expand on Z’s weaknesses some more. I like your idea that using too much magic physically exerts her and she isn’t really practiced enough to keep this exertion in check. Trust me, I’ll try my hardest to make sure her powers never break the plot.

I am cool with him being the only Lantern for now. Besides, he is probably gonna use his powers to fight crooks plauging his neighborhood.

One weakness my guy has is the fact that there is no Blue Lantern trainer to train him on how to use his ring. You can guess why that is bad.

Yeah, perhaps the ring is equipped with a nanocomputer and an AI program that is supposed to act as a mentor to new ring bearers, but it was damaged in the crash or something and the AI remains dormant even if the powers are working. Maybe he gets electrocuted by an enemy at some point and it causes the ring the recalibrate and the AI activates or something.

Also, I wanted to ask -- I like to shorten usernames into nicknames so I don't have to write the whole name out each time, and it also creates a bond since it's a sign of affection for my co-writers. So, if you don't like me shortening them, as Stainsoftime pointed out, please let me know. In my case, you are free to call me Mal or by my real name, Jeff.

In your case, UnoriginalName, I feel uncomfortable just calling you Unoriginal, so I was thinking Uno or Unori for a nickname? Are you okay with that? Killerclown, do you prefer Killer or Clown or KC or something else? And DatBoi, your name is short enough I don't really need to add a nickname, unless you want me to.

Hello you guys. Names Jeff as well but feel free to call me 23 to avoid confusion.

I had an idea for a character from the future (or rather a possible future.) who was sent back in time after the fall of his world. He is human, only about 16, and in possession of a weapon from the future. Is that cool?

Awesome character, 23. Maybe when he jumped through the portal to the past, a Dreamon survivor who has cloaking armor followed him through, unbeknownst to him. Maybe that lone Dreamon is secretly trying to find a way to contact the past version of their homeworld to spark the invasion early. At this point in history, maybe the Dreamon do not have the capability yet for a large scale war, so they join forces with the Reach or something and tie into our plot .
