Fandom DBZ : ROTTS

Right now, Saiyans have landed and Vegeta brought them to the first place he fought Goku, explained the story of what happened up to now and why he didn't bother looking for other Saiyan survivors and is about to get into a huge fight with the intruders.

alright I should be posting my CS soon, if it's before the fight Blake will most likely observe, join in if need be.

I'm kind of excited for Blake and Broly's dynamic, because Blake has this technique that allows him to suppress the emotions of another person, apart of his Peace of Mind thing. Like if Broly ever got too angry and needed to calm down Blake could help

To an extent yeah. But after a certain point it wouldn't work any longer. Once he stops thinking there isn't much to be done besides outlast him.

However he could use power to help him gain better control over his emotions and increase his control over his berserker form.

I'm not sure what you mean by the first statement?
 
I'm not very happy with this to be honest. It doesn't seem like there's a plot at all, and if there is, it's not very distinguished or defined in anyway. If it's player controlled, that's fine, but at the same time, I feel like the pacing is super off. The RP isn't enough three pages long and the entire group is gathered with no goal at all and two are already fighting for a reason that's hardly feasible. The pacing is off, and I don't see any kind of diversity within the RP's cast. We're pretty much all (for the most part) dominant ki users who are strong, and they're strong for seemingly no reason (at least a known reason, because most of the back stories on the CS are highly undeveloped, short, and oversimplified summaries) at all.

I'm not feeling any immersion. This feels more like a clusterfuck, soon to be battle royale in maybe a few more posts, and then since we don't have any real plot to follow other than "the saiyans" are returning, I see this RP taking a very wild turn at some point, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing. This post isn't meant to insult anyone's writing skills or anything like that, this is just how I'm feeling about the RP so far.

How's everyone else enjoying the RP?

Well . . . I'm not sure. You're right about the character diversity though. I'm trying to change that with my upcoming character, you'll see when she comes out.

Anywho, as for plot I'm not exactly sure what way the Gm plans to have the plot go, from the CS I see a man who wished to become a God, and as such was granted God Ki. He seems to be "the first villain" in all. While yes you are correct in the thought of the Roleplay being as such with our cast, I'm not sure it's meant to be anything else. This is a generally calm roleplay that sort of has a sandbox affect to it. There is no set plot, we make it up as we go along. I may be wrong, maybe the Gm has something that, in the end, is going to blow our minds. Maybe there is something to do with the planet of Saiyans in the future, but those are all maybes. This Rp, as I see it, holds a sort of Chaotic balance within itself. Is that GOOD? Depends on who's view it's coming from. What direction we go from here, I have no idea. Though I'd love to help in the general direction the rp goes in. The place in which we're set in the DBZ timeline opens way for creativity but with that comes destruction. With something like this, whether it goes far or not really just depends on the people who roleplay, and how the deem their self worth relating to said rp.
 
Do I like the roleplay? I'm not sure. My character just entered, and how much I like a roleplay depends on a lot of factors that have yet to come to surface. But the length of the replies so far intrigue me. So as for my personal opinion of my liking to the rp so far, idk XP
 
This is just my first impression of the RP. It could totally change within a few more weeks of growing, but it could not.

Same concept as the hulk. After a certain point mind altering effects wont work. Bht he isnt currently as strong as he is given credit for. He can get ro about ss2 power. Not much more for the moment. So even if he looses his cool itll be a while before he is out of hand.


There is a plot. One with several arcs in it, several different Villains, and a filler idea or two. As for the fighting i see a pretty good reason. Serenity is upset that vegeta seemed to abandon the saiyan race. Vegeta on the other d is fighting is bruised pride. Actually makes perfect sense vegeta has fought for less.

At what point does he become immune to mental attacks? And the technique technically isn't a mental attack, it targets a direct reaction in the body, though I won't get into the science aspects of it right now.
 
Id say right about the halfway mark of his transformation. If caught early itll work.

Logically speaking there isnt really a reason why it wouldnt work... Its just i have a thing about free will and such. so id prefer if there was some resistance or something.

Well he can have high resistance, I could set it that there is a certain amount of emotion Blake himself can not suppress unless he wishes to lose control of his body as well, and could harm him physically and mentally if he attempts to go over said limiter, but a complete cancellation couldn't work.

But. Of course. I wouldnt want to completely cancel the ability anyhow. Its very unique and useful :)
