NASA picked them up like a swarm approaching Earth from the far side of the Moon on June 2. There were thousands of them (about 11,000). Motherships, each about 1500 meters in diameter. They approached slowly, no faster than a Terran space vehicle could have made the journey. Then they took positions in orbit, spreading to give them a vantage point. Finally about 250 of them descended upon the Earth, taking up positions over political headquarters of every nation - recognized or not. America had two such ships. One was also stationed over the UN headquarters.
Your Character
I am looking for someone to take on the female role of either the movie, the remake, or that of a Lois Lane type reporter … or a scientist. I could probably think of other options. But she will end up center stage at stalling an invasion of her world.
Yes, you will need a CS. Doesn’t have to be detailed. Picture and a description.
Plot
The initial plot is very simple. Find out what the aliens want. Hint: it isn’t looking good for the human race. They are looking at an extinction level event. The extraterrestrials see humans as barely more intelligent than a cow. Their average IQ is so high that it is difficult for them to communicate with us and take us seriously. We are essentially vermin to be exterminated.
But all is not lost. They have a liaison to speak with us (the human pic). He is better equipped to communicate with humans. Can your character convince them to spare humans?
Note that there is a lot I am leaving about why the aliens picked Earth and why now. But that will be covered in roleplay.
