Making the perfect sandwich
Okay, so about a year ago I started a metahuman/superhero RP called New Horizon. It started out strong, but then it fell apart a little bit. Scheduling on my end, no narrative direction for the RP to go in, and other factors caused it to shut down. Well, as of late I've been expressing an interest in restarting it. I'm coming onto here to see if there would be any interest in joining this RP. I'm looking at maybe starting with five or six people, maybe seven. So now, about the RP...
Well this takes place in the city of New Horizon, where a cosmic phenomenon has turned a large number of its citizens into metahumans, referred to as Evolved in the RP. The tone would be semi-realistic, with trying to match the atmosphere of the first season of the show Heroes, and the Infamous video game series. Yup this the scenario is one of those "Wow, I have powers. Now where do I go from here?"
There are multiple different factions you join as well. The Valiant is composed of Evolved that believe that they can use their powers for good and help the city. Factions that are less than genuine include a supremacist group, believing that the Evolved should have top dominance over normal human beings. Another is a cult that believes the opposite, as they are human extremists dedicated to blackmailing and eliminating all Evolved.
Right from the start I believe we start with people discovering they have their new powers and doing whatever with them. Trying to go on with their daily lives even though they've been gifted with something greater. Overtime is when the above mentioned factions start to form in the city. Villains can start to rise up and try to do their own thing as well. This is all something we could discuss once we get into it.
