Personality : Ryann in general is a nice person. She likes helping people and would give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. Ryann doesn't really care what people think about her, however if you belittle her she will remove you from her life because she doesn't have the time for people who think little of her. If you asked her opinion on something she will tell you exactly how she feels even if its hard to hear. Though she is honest with whats on her mind she has a hard time expressing her feelings, especially when it comes to romantic feelings. Ryann doesn't really like to party, she would rather stay home and read in a comfortable chair with her dog by her side. When she does go out she tends to sit in the corner and observe everyone else until her social battery runs out. If Ryann wants to spend time with you it means she really likes you.

What YC looks in a person, their type and what they're shooting for: Ryann doesn't really have a type, however she typically dates guys who are heavily tattooed and dress in alternative clothing only because that's who she attracts because of how she dresses. She would like to find someone who she can connect with. Someone who will help her start letting her walls down and letting people in romantically. She would like someone to maybe even help her get out of her shell and maybe even go out more and actually have fun. She really likes when guys can make her laugh.

Biography: Ryann grew up in Florida, born to a Father who is an Officer in the Navy and her Mother a Mortician. Her parents were always supportive of whatever she wanted to do. Her dad was away a lot so it was mostly her and her Mother. Growing up in a Funeral Home, considering she would go to work with her Mom more days than not. She always admired her parents and was always inspired by her Mom. Things weren't always easy, in middle school and High School she was bullied for her appearance, though she didn't really let it bother her. However being bullied makes it hard for your to make friends. Ryann found solace in making art and helping her mother with restorative make-up on the corpses. The few friends she had in school she made through art classes. After High School she got offered a few modeling contracts for different alternative clothing brands and makes good money modeling alternative fashion. Though Ryann enjoys modeling she is currently in school for Mortuary Science to take over her Mothers Funeral Home.

Carter being born into a generally wealthy family, allowed him to avoid insecurity and mental mishaps of self-worth between friends and families. Escaping into the woods behind him, and exploring who he is as a person and playing guitar had shaped him into someone who is confident and trivial. He can be flirtatious due to the confidence attached to him and his filter for words aren't really there. He's always wanted to travel the world, playing and seeing some of the most beautiful places and experiencing new things all the time. His stubbornness doesn't always help when he's set on buying or doing something, it can leave him with no money, no experiences, and no way back home. If Carter wants something or someone, he would blatantly walk up to them and immediately tell them so. He's a romantic that knows- almost how to walk with a woman, and how to treat her right. Carter is a party rat. When he feels stressed or overwhelmed he would let it all out through drinking, and he would sometimes ruin his physique that he strives for with just one little night that will mess him up for a month or so. Now, he's getting better and building muscle for the show.


Carter doesn't have a specific body type or facial structure. But what he does look for is a woman who is willing to do anything with him, and has enough confidence to not be vague. Carter does want a woman who can relate to him and have a good laugh, someone who enjoys adventure and loves a thrill, to party, and to overall have a good time. He picks out women from the crowd who are experienced and don't have a set bedtime, they'd rebel from the rules, but know when it would be time to stop and take a breather.

Biography
Carter was born into an average-wealthy family. He grew up being happy, fed, and stuffed into the boxy confines of school. There he had a pretty hell-like time trying his best to learn. He resorted to acting up and trying his best to upset the teachers. Academics wasn't his strong suit, but it didn't mean he wasn't good at subjects like Language Arts, and History. He even picked up American Sign Language for a while. The most important hallmark of his teenage years was his father taking him into a guitar shop to buy his very first guitar. This changed the entire way he looked at school. Using music to re-learn topics, he had caught up to all the other students. His rebellious activities didn't stop, but they had changed through his sense in fashion and the way he looked at things. He wore more rings, bracelets, had a choker session for a while. He joined a band, and they got far, playing at gigs and earning extra cash on the side. Carter had worked his way, earning money and buying his first vehicle, a McDeeb Clubman 500 superlight. This motorcycle is his baby, he loves the bike and takes care of it like it was his own child. Things had changed when he hit Senior year. Carter had gone to college, majoring in music production and minoring in history. Just before graduating, he had discovered Eric's mansion and wanted to join in on the fun. He waited a year and then graduated, and was accepted into the dating in the dark show. ​

The type they're shooting for:
Typically someone who can balance out the seemingly undying heart fire of hers. Likes when she can have sarcastic banter with another person and the relationship involves the two just being polar opposites but somehow working. Though, it has come to her realization that she finds herself often dating men who are terrible picks for her, either because they're awkward, distant, or just plain douchebags. She doesn't want to keep that cycle going- she wants someone intelligent, someone patient enough for her to push their buttons and test their limits.

Personality:
Nevaeh is a little spitfire of a girl, often doing things out of impulse with little thought put into her actions. Her energy never seems to run out in that little body of hers, and could stay up hours upon hours just talking. She loves learning, which is partly the reason she is so impulsive with most of her decisions, claiming that you never really know something until you experience it firsthand. This girl can never sit still, and you will often find her tapping her foot, or maybe even sitting a little strangely on a chair or couch like one would on a floor. Nevaeh respects boundaries, sure, but only if they tell her to stop- otherwise she and her nosy little self will keep pushing and pushing for information, always wanting to learn every single detail.

Despite her name literally being "Heaven" backwards, a few peers in her life would easily digress Nevs ever being heavenly. She is far from graceful, and only the slightest bit polite; sure she knows her manners ( who doesn't? ), but that doesn't mean she'll use them all the time. She's definitely a jokester, this one, and will commonly crack a few ( bad ) jokes in hopes of making someone laugh. "Laughing is the cure in life" is another saying of hers, one she's terribly proud of despite it actually just being a quote she read somewhere online but she didn't bother memorizing the entire thing word by word.

Now that we are coming to an end to just a snippet of Nevs' personality, there is a small, very small side of her where she is quiet and the actual replica of a teenage girl with a crush. Of course, this side doesn't come out with actual people- no, this only happens when she watches a terrible romcom. She loves those god-awful cliche movies with a passion, and will argue about how fantastic they are no matter the situation. However, this only reveals that Nevaeh really does have some pretty strong passion for things that catch her eye, and has a hard time letting them go once she's grasped on.

her story​

Biography:
Surprisingly enough, Nevaeh was raised in a wealthy home- I say surprisingly due to how much of an actual child she resembles even in her twenties. Her mother worked as an anesthesiologist, while her father [ used to be ] a chief executive in the medical field. Being raised as an only child meant being absolutely spoiled as a child by her parents, but as the years went by, the family started drifting a little farther and farther away from their only daughter after she expressed she wanted to be a stand-up comedian. She thought they were really into the idea, by the way they laughed in her face at first, but when they'd realized she was serious, no amount of scaring her of her future could talk the woman out of it.

Nevaeh went to a vetenarian school, something she actually loved more than telling jokes to people for cheap cash. Her parents, of course, were estatic with the news- at least it was some kind of medical branch, right? Right. However, the good news had been overthrown with bad. After 28 years of a happy, healthy marriage, things started to seep through, and eventually get revealed. Nevs father had apparently cheated on his wife, scarring his daughters view on most relationships- neither of the women could wrap their heads around any of it in time for them to stop him from walking out of the door and into some other womans life, but over time, she and her mother learned to fight on their own, knowing they were completely fine without him- even if he brought in a lot of the cash.

Almost towards her graduation in veterinary school, Nevaeh's mother decides to surprise her daughter with the news she'd been accepted onto the show Dating in the Dark, happy her daughter could finally get a break away from upcoming finals. Though Nev still lives with her mother, neither of them have a problem with each others company, but the young woman has been searching for her own little place, and will hopefully land an offer on a certain one the following week.

Personality:
Violet overall can be described as a charming outgoing individual. She tries to be helpful believing that you get out of life what you put in for the most part. The only excepting being birth, she is well aware those cards aren't always fair, but once you've got your hand it's up to you to figure out the best way to play them. She's an optimist with high hopes for others as well as herself. She has to be to achieve her dreams. That's not to say she doesn't have her insecurities or doubts, it just means she tends to keep them locked up tight inside of her and even on her hardest days keep a painted smile on her lips. For the most part she's an extrovert and thrives being around people, going to events, parties, ect. In fact when she'd alone is when those insecurities tend to bubble up, and without the noise and distraction of others it's hard for her to shut them up. This is a side of her rarely seen by anyone. She is a lover of the arts and animals big and small. When she's rich and famous that's were most of her charity work will be, helping keeping art programs in low income areas open and shelters for animals, and supporting people who help animals who tend to receive less love.

Violet would never say she has a type, but if you go based on her dating history it's usually guys taller then her, and who also likes being out and about. In high school it tended to be the jocks, or the class clowns. She's not sure what she wants other then they need to have a decent amount of self confidence for them to last. She plans on being a star, and feels like she's well on her way. A guy who can't handle her being a leading lady in a movie, or up close and personal with another random guy for work purposes doesn't stand a chance staying with her for the life she wants.

Biography:
Violet grew up in a single parent home in the Bronx of New York. They struggled for most of the early part of her childhood, but once she got to middle school her mom got promoted and started making better livable wages for them. She knew of her father, but it was rare he came around. While she'll never admit it, it's one of the things that get's to her when she's alone. She loves her mother, and wished she could say they were close, but due to her working so hard sometimes having two and three jobs growing up she spent most of her time either being watched by her aunt, or outside playing with the neighborhood kids. Even after the pay raise, it came with the same type of demanding hours. Now she only had the one job, but it still took most of her time. Violet told herself this was only natural, tv shows always talked about how demanding the medical field was. She was determined to help out and do her part as well, so she cooked, cleaned, checked the mail, and anything else to make sure when her mom got home she could relax.

Once in middle school she joined the drama program and fell in love. It was the perfect escape from reality for her, and she could be anyone she wanted. It also was an extra curricular she could do that didn't cost a thing because it was her own imagination at work. To help her get into character she would write short stories and scenarios about them. She found out she actually had a decent singing voice after trying out for the school musical, and used choir to be her other elective when given the opportunity. Her love for Theater only grew as she got into high school, and was usually cast as one of the main roles, if not the leading lady. She got a full ride scholarship to be in the performing arts program at the second university of her choice, which still had one of the best programs in the nation.

She's now in her final year of college, and honestly she's here because of a dare that snowballed. Her and a few friends where talking about how crazy things tend to be peoples big breaks sometimes, but she disagreed. She felt the ones that last weren't on a whim, but strategic. That's when the topic of Eric's mansion came up. She told them he'd blow through all that in a couple years, and before five years is up no one will hardly remember it at all. That's when her friend dared her to cash in on the chance to be on the screen since it'll be so forgettable. Not thinking she'd be chosen since she imagined millions of people apply, she agreed to the dare and submitted an application. Much to her surprise she was picked, and she's never been one to back out of something she agreed to. So here she is seeing what will happen next.​

10. Personality ​

Zoe is by no means loud, but she isn’t shy. While she isn’t one to host a party, she would certainly attend one if she knew at least one person there. She enjoys making friends but doesn’t need to be constantly surrounded by others. She likes to think she has an excellent sense of humor (which is up for debate) but doesn’t really handle mean humor well, being discouraged easily. The best example of this was an offhand joke about the blanket Zoe was crocheting. While she was a beginner, and her work showed it, she couldn’t help but overthink this comment until she couldn’t bring herself to pick up another crochet hook. Due to how easily she is discouraged, she tends to be overly respectful of others, doing her best to make everyone feel comfortable. Some of her friends have described Zoe as the ‘mom friend’ of the group, trying to take care of everyone. She is eager to please and help people. For example, if a friend’s car broke down and they need a ride to work, she would happily drive them until they were back on their feet again. However, she has a problem speaking up for herself, choosing to stay silent rather than creating conflict. Ironically, this can end up having the opposite effect, blowing up in her face. When some find out that she was keeping a secret, even if she thought it was for the best, they tend to blame her.​

11. What YC looks in a person, their type and what they're shooting for.​

Since Zoe doesn’t have the most dating experience, her type hasn’t been completely formed yet. However, what she does know is that she wants someone who is kind, compassionate, but not afraid to speak up. Perhaps this was because of her own inability to speak up. She wants someone who seems to have a genuine interest in not only her but other hobbies. Her perfect match would be supportive of her no matter what but would also be able to give advice when she is lost. Overall, Zoe wants someone she can grow with.​

12. Biography ​

Zoe had a fairly average upbringing. Sure, it wasn’t a picture perfect family, but is anyone’s? Like many other kids, her parents divorced at the age of 14. While it was still heartbreaking and she blamed herself at first, her parents remained on at least amicable terms. Growing up in a small suburb in Indiana, she lived a typical midwestern childhood. Summer bonfires, hanging out at the nearest mall (which was still about 40 minutes away), and the smells of burgers sizzling on the grill all described her childhood. Around the time of her parents’ divorce, Zoe started taking piano lessons. While she wasn’t the next Mozart, she had a passion for it. It was a great stress reliever, especially while going through the divorce.

Fast forward to high school. Zoe was still practicing piano, but had dropped lessons to instead focusing on studying before college applications were due. She was still unsure on what major she should go into. She had done well in her general science classes but didn’t want to go near a medical school. After talking to her school’s guidance counselor and parents, she decided on a general biology degree. It was a good plan to start off with and figure out what she wanted to do along the way.

Midway through college, Zoe decided on receiving a teaching certificate. It seemed like the best option for her degree. She didn’t want to go into research, a lab would be too lonely. She didn’t want to go through the stress of studying for an MCAT to apply to a medical school. So maybe working with kids would be fun! Her friends were always saying she was ‘such a mom’ so maybe her compassion would carry over to teaching young children. Having only recently graduating from college, Zoe was taking a year to shadow and help a science teacher in an elementary school. After her year of being a student teacher went by quite smoothly, she felt confident about her choice to teach. ​

One night when a friend was over for dinner, an advertisement was brought to Zoe’s attention. It was an open application for a dating reality show. After a few glasses of wine, the two girls giggled as they each filled out their own application, knowing they wouldn’t be chosen. She had forgotten all about the application until coming home one night to a letter in her mailbox. She had been accepted onto the show? Without much thought, she accepted the offer, hoping she wouldn’t regret it.​

Personality
In theory, Jos is a good person; he consistently strives to be nothing but kind to people, and to always do the right thing. But, if you peel back the deeper layers of the male, you find out that he isn't the innocent he portrays himself as. Behind the surface, he can be an extremely impulsive and competitive individual- and those two traits simply do not mix well. He's also very restless, always needing something to keep him entertained, lest he do something utterly idiotic. Another bad trait about himself is that one of his seemingly virtuous traits, his kindness, can be quite overbearing, to the point where he oftentimes ends up smothering the object of his kindness. He can, additionally, be very stubborn, rarely ever listening to people's advice, and, impulsive as he is, this never seems to work out in anybody's- including his- favor. The last of his traits, and possibly the most damaging to him, is how he's quite closed-off. He doesn't seem to show any emotions besides his cheerful ones, which causes negative feelings to bubble up slowly inside of him, until eventually one little thing sets off his rage and sadness simultaneously.

Yet, we're only focusing on his bad traits, correct? His good ones, fortunately, outweigh those. He's, as mentioned before, a very caring person, always looking to help someone who is feeling depressed or anything of the like, as he hates seeing somebody who can be helped being rejected by other individuals. He's also very lively, being a very active person, emotionally and physically, seemingly always moving around and talking, which, understandably, some people find quite annoying. Jos is also very optimistic, seemingly never seeing the bad in situations or people, which, unfortunately, often results in him getting hurt. He's very conscientious, which applies to his trait of being caring, always trying to respect the environment he's in, though some traits he possesses oftentimes prevent this one from being evident. And, the last of his traits, are that he is independent and wise. Despite wanting to help everyone he meets, he prefers to keep to himself and prevent people from helping him. Being wise, he knows an awful lot of things other people don't, mainly based on philosophy type things.

Jos oftentimes looks for happy people, much like him, but he likes people who are open to their emotions- including their sad ones- as well. He doesn't exactly have a straight up type, but normally looks out for people that can make him feel better when he's down, but also someone who can keep him down to earth, which is something he often needs help doing. As such, he has a preference toward calm and collected people, as opposed to people like him: hyperactive and unrestrained.

Biography
Jos was born into an upper middle class family. His dad had divorced his mother a year or two before he was born, and he was accompanied by two older siblings, twin brothers. His mother, despite being left alone with the three, did her best to provide the three with her wages from the fairly popular restaurant she owned in Los Angeles, California. Despite his ways in adulthood, Jos was a very reclusive and socially awkward child, partly due to the bullying he received from his brothers, who blamed him for his father divorcing their mother despite his father leaving long before he was born. Due to his introverted mannerism,s his mother put him in private school, as she was scared to send him to public school— the boy went to said school until he had to enter high school.

High school was when Jos discovered his very large passion for the art of writing. The male had dabbled in the activity from time to time, but never fully realized how much he loved it until his first year of high school. He was put in Honors Writing fairly quickly due to his skill being noticed, but once in his junior year, he lost his incline to writing and began to develop his ever-lasting passion: art.

A year after high school finished, after many applications, Jos was finally accepted to a well-renowned art school with a full-ride scholarship. He has been studying there for 3 years, and, surprise surprise, college is when he developed his very high-priority social skills due to the amount of socialization concurrent in collleges. But, enough of his life story; how did he even get into the show?

Well, Jos's roommate, Bobbi, was quite a fanatic over reality shows. No, scratch that, an utterly huge fanatic. So, well searching online for another reality show, found an advertisement for a new dating reality show. The girl knew she couldn't participate in the show; after all, she had to focus on her Psychology degree, so, she logically would have to coerce her roommate into participating in the show. Curious, Jos agreed to the notion, and got accepted into the show, as excitedly told by his roommate. He took the offer- he was almost closing in on his Bachelors degree, and he could surely get some extra classes, right?

So, Jos accepted the invite to the show, praying nothing could go wrong.​

11. What YC looks in a person, their type and what they're shooting for. Bill has always dreamed of having a badass slender redheaded gal, but is lenient in any case. Despite the fact that he never intended to be here anyways, the kind of 'old lady' he's looking for would be an adventurous, or maybe even rebellious companion for Bill. He doubts he'll even find someone he wants.

12. Biography Bill never wanted to be here. He lost big in a game of poker to some motorcycle gang friends, who forgave a large portion of his debt if he went and humiliated presented himself in the dating show. That deal was made way up north in Montana, where Bill Johansen was born in a simple enough set-up. Bill worked during most of his high school years to contribute towards his California college fund, which his parents also supported. Bill thought he'd love college in the Golden State--a paradise, right? He wasn't very rebellious during his high school years, but he definitely became troublesome at college in California, openly challenging the beliefs and ideologies of his professors, school, and state which he thought were ludicrous. He became more interested in political philosophy and history, spending time away from homework reading about such things, and using them to his advantage in his own sort of counter-cultural rebellion. After several referrals for conduct in and out of the classroom, and trying to prove alleged bias against him from professors, Bill literally said "f**k it" and returned home to clear his head and think about his future. His mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which demands hefty treatment bills--Bill found an in with the local Motorcycle Club, allowing him to gain the necessary money while fulfilling his values, if by largely criminal means. He's become involved more and more with them over time, and he's also been looking for an "old lady," a wife. Bill has also gotten involved in living history organizations state-wide.
