When Gotthard spoke of her family she let out a small sigh and smiled "I don't doubt that you have... we are known for our demonic knowledge and skill" she had forgotten how long it has been since she was home or even how long its been since she thought about what she left behind to have and adventure.

She paid a small amount of attention to the people that had just entered the room before adjusting her focus back to Gotthard, she watched as his hand began to glow. Her eyes widening in surprise and intrigue, she had never seen anything like it she was tempted to reach out and touch his hand just out of curiosity but resisted the urge instead she just stared and admired it. As he pulled away his hand she looked back up at him "That is incredible I have never seen anything like that" she said with amazement, she felt weird for staring but she couldn't have helped it. But her embarrassment quickly faded when he smirked, slowly she turned in her seat and crossed her legs placing her elbow on the table and leaning on it smirking back at him "I certainly would like to see proof of this" she said playfully. She had no doubt that he was a skilled warrior just from looking at his armour she could tell he knew how to handle himself in a fight.

"Alas, I jest." Gotthard let out a small chuckle, throwing his hands in the air and again leaning back in his seat. Placing his hands behind his head he began speaking again.

"I am sure any number of warriors here could best me in battle, my armor is strong,"

A faint blue glow began radiating from Gotthard's chest plate, fading when he began speaking again.

"But without it, my lack of proper arcane training leaves me vulnerable." He moved his hand to the hilt of his blade. "A simple man with his blade." Gotthard narrowed his eyes, and leveled his gaze with Lydia briefly, resuming his lean into the chair.

Elidyr watched the others in silent curiosity. His hand elegantly draped over the other that rests on the table. No one seemed quite sure as to why they were here, so perhaps this wasn't an ambush? It's possible this was not the danger his scrying had warned him of.

Io was thoroughly mystified by the ancient carvings and the depictions of things long passed. Symbols of old had been scrawled over the tatterd remnants of flags; draped haphazardly over the old stone. He felt his insatiable curiosity well up in his chest as his eyes drank in all they could. For a moment his gaze passed over the room, inspecting the other patrons of the soon to be revealed quest. He hummed softly to himself, wondering if he should even bother introducing himself to the others, considering he wouldn't be joining them. While looking he caught sight of a man speaking to a young woman. His hands flirted with a magic of some kind, causing a knife to change shape instantly...transfiguration perhaps? The woman he spoke to matched his energy, remaining calm. Her pale skin radiating in the presence of the blue flame that danced at the center of the stone table. Io's eyes widened and he nearly let out an audible gasp noticing her crimson eyes. A vampire?! an actual real...wait.... The woman wasn't robed or protected with a large hat....and the sun was quite high this afternoon....Were she a vampire, she certainly would've had some trouble coming here.... Perhaps she was using some type of powerful magic to block the sun's rays before making it to the meeting? Io had read only so much about vampires at the request of the doctor. From those pages he remembered the rare and elusive offspring of vampires and humans....A Dhampir...? no way...what would be the chances....?

His mind still reeling with interest his eyes were drawn to a blue glow. It only lasted for a split second, but it was separate and more intense than the blue pouring from the flame. It came from a young knight speaking to a woman who couldn't have been much older than himself. Io beamed, impressed by the diverse cast of champions the Elders had managed to gather with a simple call to arms. The doctor would have fit in perfectly and for a moment he felt a tinge of sadness as he realized he'd be heading home to his books and studies after the meeting...what a shame...perhaps it would be better to introduce himself, just so he'd have the chance to speak with members of so many interesting races and creeds...

The young man turned his attention back to the cobblestone pillar behind him, letting his mind digest the information, his glasses finding their way back to his eyes and his hands feeling across the stone. Dwarves seemed to have the ability to communicate with the rocks, as though they told stories. He remembered many a time when a dwarf could place his fingers on the earth and explain where it had been....how many times it had been touched...and what it said.....Though he was no dwarf himself, he could hear the story that the ruined pillars told, his fingers tracing over the old, moss covered stones. Lost in though he continued walking the perimeter of the meeting room. However, because he wasn't paying much attention to where he was backing into, Io found himself slowly pacing backward toward a rather serious looking man clad in armor...on a direct collision course. ( Mmetafour Mmetafour OOC: Navum isn’t wearing his dark armor right now. Just thought I’d let you know)

Navum leaned back and started scanning the room for other things that might pique his interest. He saw people giving Namorae weird looks. He frowned and nudged Namorae. “Hey, some people are giving you some weird looks, Namorae.”

She chuckles softly, leaning back in her seat. “Oh, what else is new? But thank you for letting me know. Perhaps they know what I am. Hopefully there won’t be any holy smiting in the near future. That stuff sears.”

Navum leaned forward. His whole body flickered with dark magic. “Um, no offense, but...” Navum blushed with embarrassment. His body flickered again. “What... are you exactly?”

She glances over at him, curious about what his magic is doing. She considers his question for a moment. “I’m what happens if by some miracle, a vampire manages to have offspring with a mortal woman. An elf, in my case. Not that I knew her, of course. It’s a one in a million chance for a dhampir to be born, and out of that, a very small fraction of births end with the mother surviving.”

Namorae prefers to be fairly blunt, especially when she can see some form of darkness in him as well. “So, in the simplest terms, I’m half vampire.”

Navum leaned on the table again. “That’s interesting.” He conjured some sort of rubber band and started fiddling with it. “So... if you don’t mind me asking, what is it like?”

She shrugs. “Frankly, I have no idea what being alive feels like, so I can’t make the comparison. But I’m not great at seeing in daylight, and father said I’m more physically powerful than most elves my age. And also slightly more prone to violence.”

H Hal lucination

Navum stretched his rubber band until it snapped, then desummoned it. He relaxed. “Well, that seems like it could be useful in this quest thingy.” His eye turned pure black. “I really wish they’d start. I’m getting anxious.”

Lydia let out a small chuckle as well, as he spoke about any one in this room could best him in battle she looked around and raised an eyebrow "I see many magic users but very few actual combat mages such as yourself" she pointed to the man still standing against a pillar "I have a feeling he would best us both" she chuckled again. Compared to the two men Lydia was quite small in height but then again that gave her an advantage if they ever choose to spar.

She smiled at his comment "And yet I am just a simple woman with a sword, I see no difference" she said "Yet the difference is you do have some arcane training where as I have none and you do have armour which is a bonus in some way" She gestured to herself she didn't wear armour which on her part could be a huge mistake but she chose to make it, knowing no matter how much armour in the world you have on it won't make a difference if you can't protect yourself but from looking at Gotthard she figured he could with or without his armour.
