Personality: kindhearted and intelligent, Robert only ever sees the best of people, even darklings. Despite the outwardly hostile nature of most Lightlings, Robert embraces and preaches a love of both worlds, and is a role model for that personality.


Abilities (Magic, skills): along with the shape-changing of all lightlings, Robert his highly intelligent and agile


History: Robert seemed to appear from no where, he seemed to have no family, and he seemed to have no ties, but this is simply because he chose that. Robert erased all forms of a clue to trace him to his origin, including his name, which is not really Robert Outfleet. His true name is a secret he shares with no one


Other: He is actively searching for a group of people who agree with him, lightling or darkling, people who will.. not exactly follow him, but instead aid him to change the views of those around, and end the racism between the light and dark worlds

Personality: Saysha is very mysterious and introverted so it's hard to tell how she really acts. She wishes to be kind and gentle to others, but since she is a Darkling she must hide these feelings as much as possible.


Abilities (Magic, skills): Saysha has the powers of telekinesis and telepathy(being able to read other people's minds and moving things with her mind).


History: Saysha grew up in a very proper home, her parents were rich. Unlike her brothers and sisters, who were rude, snobby, and annoying, she liked to play outside with the neighbor girls(who eventually left her alone because they were more powerful than her family was). She often felt alone, her parents wouldn't let her meet people or leave the house, so she was isolated most of her life. But every so often she would find a way sneak out and used this to her advantage by running away. She now lives alone on the dark street corners, in alleyways, and the crevices she can find. And she also has her eye on a portal and is thinking of going to the Light World.


Other: She has two pet kittens who were strays, Sage and Buttercup.

Name: Cassandra Kier Brimwell

Personality: Cass is a very clandestine person--no one knows much about her except for the outrageous rumors that fly around. She is a very witty person, shy, and polite to others. When called for, she will work hard and be serious, committing to the assignment. Her quietness makes it hard for her to aqquire friends, as she has none, and it causes others to underestimate her. One of her faults is that she quickly tries to escape any social meeting, and although many dislike her, they are wary about her unique beauty. Cass is independent and sophisticated, but weak in battle and combat.


Abilities (Magic, skills): Cass gets her power from the moon and stars, causing her to have to store up power for day. The energy from the moon and stars give er some kind of blueish aura-like power, usually displayed as ribbons of vibrating blue


History: Many believe that her mother was a Lightling and her father was a Darkling because of the mysterious painting (shown below) that is hung upon the entrance to her home. In reality, the rumors are true. Ever since she was a young Darkling, Cass carried the heavy burden of being different--caught between two different, separated worlds. Upon her unexpected birth, her parents abandoned her on the side of the Darklings, where she would fit in most because of her appearance. Cass has lived in solitary in her little home next to a lush and carefully nurtured woods. When she grew up, people began to call her the Halfling, and other vicious names. Every time she would venture out into the markets, the citizens there would treat her like filth. Soon after the beginning of her ill treatment, a pitch black cat appeared on her doorstep, and Cass has taught it to fetch things. The cat turned out to be a voiceless shape-shifter, only able to speak when Cass informs it to. The cat/shapeshifter was named Marla, and it does its errands for Cass. To others, Cass seemed to disappear from the face of the world.

Other: Her cat/shapeshifter is named Marla and Cass has rare feathered wings. On a full moon, her wings turn more fairy like.

Name: Tearlach Bat'a


Race: Darkling


Age: 18 years old


Appearance:

Personality: He is extremely withdrawn...and basically hates the world. or worlds... O.o But, yeah, he is a really hard man to get along with or even interact with.


Abilities: He can see in the dark as well as make another being blind. He does this by staring into his opponent's eyes long enough for his pupils to dilate wide enough until his eyes are entirely black (because of the size of his pupils). By the time his eyes are completely black, the person is rendered blind for a total of 26 minutes. He has leathery wings the color of shadows.


History: He has always been a "Scrooge". He ran away from his family when he was 6 years old because he believed they adopted him. He truly believes he has no family whatsoever, but has no logic for his thinking. He isolates and keeps to himself. One is lucky to see him...possibly get him to talk. As far as he knows, he only cares about himself...Unfortunately, even that is questionable.


Other: He has no experience of anyone trying to befriend him, for they have all given up. He may be kind of different toward a friend.

Name: Ike the White Knight

Personality: Ike is a quiet fellow, calm and serious. He will flirt sometimes, though usually is it a jest, part of his small humourous side.


Abilities (Magic, skills): Ike is fast with the sword, but his main strength lies in his parrying ability. He's gotten good enough that he can even block most harmful magic, such as lightning or fire, and deflect it back at the caster.


History: Ike was raised to be a champion of the Lightlings, to lead them into battle. The king of his home kingdom of Saykar was intent on 'eradicating the threat forever'. Many agreed, having seen the devastation that the Darkling invasion had brought. Then, to make matters worse, plague and illness had struck, brought upon them by the Darklings. An army was built, and Ike was chosen to lead it. His harsh, military training and natural seriousness made him legandary among the other soldiers for never smiliing. Eventually however, Ike was led astray from his role on the eve of the invasion. A Darkling had infilitrated the camp, and drugged Ike's drink. Waking to find the camp in shambles and himself on fire, Ike ran, fearing the king's harsh judgement. He hunted the Darkling, but when Ike finally caught up, he discovered that the Darkling was a girl. Still unafraid, though starting to feel doubt, Ike faced her down. The Darkling agreed to the fight, but explained herself as they battled. Feeling guilty now that he knew her point of view, Ike stopped the battle and left, resolving to prevent an invasion on either side.

Abilities (Magic, skills): His blade is infused with the souls of those who have used it in the past. He is able to blink or teleport short distances. Uses strong fire magic.


History: Ever since he was born he supposed to be a legacy or a legend upon the people thats what was expected of him by his family. At a young age he realized this is not who he is so he decided to leave. His family cut him off from themselves acting if though he did not exist. He lives on his own and practicies what he thinks is right. Hes taught himself everything he can from simple knowlage. He moves from place to place having little to no friends for most do not understand him or want to.

Personality: A trained soldier to the bone, serious most of the time, calculating, rarely stumbles, and takes lead whenever he can. Prefers to stay silent, but will responses violently to abuse, and will defend those who need it, merciless when he has to be, however he loves to make his friends smile. He will only show honor when fair and earned. He also loves to prove he is right, or being superior in a situation.


Magic: Activating his mechanical "Avatar Battle Armor", Technology control (Master),


Skills: Army Leading, Spotting targets, Weak spot Detection, Swordsmen ship (Master), Fast Learning.


History: Gus was born into the military, and was taught in secret as a child soldier encase of the Darkling attacking, so he could fight the Darklings with their own weapons.. He proved at adapt fighting, and using technology to its greatest potential, even using separate Mecha-suits at once. Gus was trained in leading, fighting, and vehicular combat, he is best at flying and Mecha/Robot piloting, where he has the most control. Gus's favorite suit is the one he personally made, the Void Eclipse, the Titan is large, almost 20 feet, so he can't use it in the city without causing mass panic, its only other problem is its experimental so he wants to keep it safe, plus he likes to keep the suit a secret outside of his training sessions and tech contests. However Gus recently has mastered his sword fighting class, and as the monsters of the world awaken he normally goes out on scout and hunting missions every few days. Every time he goes out he also mines and gathers resources, bringing back material, though he uses most of it to build his new machines.


Other: When he is bored he tends to do some interesting designs for technology, his most recent is using a sword's forward swing to power kentic energy in the middle of the blade to cause smaller focused energy slashes.

Abilities (Magic, skills): He has a tome that has incantations to summon multiple fiendish servants. He also has his fathers blade which can absorb the souls of the dead. He can also cause another being to go insane by looking into their eyes.


History: He was born on the outskirts of a Darkling city but was sent through a rift to the Lightling capitol where he was found and raised by a woman. He grew up as a hated outcast and takes care of himself. When he turned sixteen his father Nefi took him back to the Darkling city and taught him the ways of the Darklings. He studies many powerful tomes and is a master of Necromancy.


Other: He has a tendency to go A-wall and kill a lot.

Personality: Due to the conflicting sides that were forced upon him, Diamortes developed a split personality, each personifying one of the Worlds. His 'Lightling' side is harsh and fierce, allowing no time to talk before pressing the attack. He destroys anything in sight, including other Lightlings, who he blames for leaving him in the hold of the Darklings. His 'Darkling' side took after Ryk, loving to torment and taunt other beings. He is obsessed with fire, as it gives a slow and agonizing death, as well as 'purifying' those who die from it.


Abilities (Magic, skills): Diamortes is unique, due to being a forced combination of both Darkling and Lightling. He is powerful both physically and magically, but these tend to show as different, opposing sides. His magic is variable, changeable depending on his emotions. But he can only use either magic or attack with melee.


History: Diamortes was a simple soldier, who was sent on a mission into the Dark World before the plague hit. He was supposed to gather intelligence about the Darklings for the Lightling attack, but was discovered and captured by a powerful Darkling known as Ryk. Ryk put Diamortes into stasis using his magic, and he was left alone for many years. Eventually, Ryk came back and released Diamortes, but did not allow him freedom. Instead, Ryk led Diamortes to Tamilay, where he was put in as the test subject for an experiment. The goal? To make an ultimate weapon, that combined both Lightling skill and Darkling magic. Unfortunately, the tests shattered Diamortes' mind, but not in the way the Darklings had hoped. He blasted through the facility and escaped into the badlands.


Other: Diamortes is basically insane, and dangerous with power.

Appearance:

Personality: A bit reserved... she has the occasional moment of angry outbursts, or uncontrollable, impulsive actions. Deeply hopes to achieve a point of good nature. Regretful for any negative approaches she demonstrates, and is more likely to push herself away from others to protect them.


Abilities (Magic, skills): Her talents lie within the elemental wind and lightning, incredible speed, lacks strength but makes up with her agility. Can't exactly fly, but is a master of gliding. Graceful when engaged with wind abilities, yet when angered she will revert to lightning abilities (aggressive)


History: Born a darkling, she came to question her ways of living along the darkened souls and seeks to change her ways. Aspires to be a holy, well respected/admired individual. Her family was known to have been cold blooded killers and a friend of hers, a boy by the name of Rai, came to show her the beauties in life. When commanded to take away his life to prove her loyalty to the family, she refused and was tragically forced to witness his death by the hands of her own father. A new rage traveled within her veins, compelling her to rid of her parents and flee into the world of the lightlings, claiming to have been taken against her will into the realm of darklings. For Rai, she hopes to change.


Other: An assassin, she hopes to use her stealthy skills for the good of society.

History: Mai grew up inside the castle of a small and peaceful kingdom. She was always bored due to never being let out of the castle, thus making her less childish and playful. Just recently, she has been allowed to go in and out of the castle during the day, allowing her to see where she actually lives.

Unknown to Mai and everybody else, she was born between worlds- Given birth to by both a Lightling, and a Darkling. After birth, she was sent to the world of the Lightlings, where her mother soon was killed, and her found by the Royal Nakamura family. Unknown to her though, Mai and all the villagers are under the assumption that she was born to the family,


Other: (Potential Details) Unknown to her and people around her, she has wings that have yet to grow, and magical abilities that due to being left untouched, may become the most purest, or the most evil of magic, depending on how she finds out about it, and who teaches her how to use it.

Generally I've considered the Lightlings and Darklings to be almost like the different 'races' in the Human race, so they can intermix. Although it does seem like the roleplay has sort of died. Go ahead and join in though!
