((Yeah, thats fine. :) I think I have a pretty decent idea of what to begin with.))

Almost the whole second week of summer vacation at the Knight residence had been spent preparing for the arrival of the newest member. A distant relative that they had never met before. Leon and Markus had been told that her family had died in a terrible accident. The two expected that she was going to be depressed for the first while.

They were moving the last of the furniture into what used to be their dad's office. "What do you think she'll be like?" Markus asked Leon, who shrugged. "Not sure, but I guess we'll find out in a few minutes." He answered, pointing to the clock. It was 11:49am. They had been told that she would arrive around noon, which seemed to be making their mother nervous. "Do you think she'll like everything?" She asked stepping into the room carrying a quilt. She had been scared to try and paint the walls or go buy bedding and decorations because she didn't know what sort of things she would like. So she decided to keep it simple and allow the girl the chance to decorate herself when she arrived.

"Mom, she probably won't care for the first few days." Leon said. Markus shot him a glance that said Not helping! He didn't really care, but he didn't want his mom to keep obsessing, she would wind up with grey hair.

Kailey watched out of the car window as she drove to her new home where she'd be living with some of her distant relatives. In this case, they are very distant since she is a vampire and is immortal so she's allot older than she looks, but she just goes by saying that she's seventeen.

She was pretty nervous about moving in with people she's never met, but was eager to try her best. Thanks to some vampire hunters, her family is gone. Not that she hates humans, but those hunters make her want to rip their throats out. She's pretty fond of humans actually. Kailey is allot more kind than other normal vampires of her race, but her family didn't mind.

She had brought allot of luggage because most of it was stuff she had bought to decorate her room with. Yeah, she was extremely upset about her family's deaths, but she didn't want to show it and mope around all the time. She wanted to make a good first impression and being some depressed, miserable girl who doesn't want to be there is not the best way to precept one's self. She smiled as she remembered the chocolate she had in her purse and hurriedly ate it as the car pulled into the driveway. Kailey gulped down the sweet candy as she gazed at it before stepping out and the driver helped get out her bags from the back. She walked up to the door and gently knocked on the door, taking a breath and straightening herself and putting on a small, pleasant smile she had learned to use over the many years of her life.

Maria, Leon's mother, adjusted the quilt for the thousandth time before she heard a knock at the door. Leon and Markus stood up from their seat on the couch and watched their mother quickly step up to the door. They watched with earnest interest as she pulled the door open to reveal the smiling face of their new resident. "Hi, I'm so glad you made it. I hope you had no trouble getting here." Maria said, her tone happy, but with a hint of caution. Leon and Markus stepped up behind their mother who moved out of the doorway to let the girl in. "Kailey," She said, gesturing to the boys, "These are my sons, Leon, and Markus." She pointed to each as she said their name. Leon gave a nod, no real facial expression, but Markus grinned widely and waved. It was almost hard to believe they were twins with how different they acted.

"Thank you for taking me in." she replied. "Nice to meet you Leon and Markus. I hope we get along well." she greeted the two boys. She waved back to Markus who seemed to be a bit more... energetic than his brother Leon which Kailey found quite amusing. She was relieved to know that most of who she'd be living with were kind. "I hope I didn't cause any trouble for you, I know how much of a hassle this all could be on you all." she said, trying to assure Maria that there was no reason to be nervous around her since she could sense how tense she was being. Good thing they don't know about my little secret about being a vampire or they would most definitely be on high alert or I might not even have been able to stay with them. Humans seem to not trust our kind due to our past relations with the whole 'blood sucking murderer' thing thanks to some delirious vampire who wasn't right in the head to begin with. she thought.

Maria smiled that Kailey didn't seem to need to be handled so gently, she had hoped that she would be able to adjust well. "No, no. No trouble at all." Maria assured her. "Would you like me to show you to your room?" She asked, then looked to the boys, gesturing outside to the car. "Could you two go get her bags and bring them in?" She as more of a command than a question. They nodded in unison and walked outside toward the car. "What do you think of her?" Markus asked. Leon shrugged and looked at his brother. "Not sure yet. What about you?" He asked. Markus thought for a moment. "She's cute." He said simply. Leon laughed lightly and shook his head. "That's weird, she is related to us after all." He reminded Markus, who smirked and shrugged. "Yeah, but not closely. I mean, have you seen her at any family reunion?" Markus pointed out. Leon shook his head with another laugh and shrugged. "Whatever." He said.

"Yeah, thank you." she nodded. "I hope you didn't go through the trouble of decorating my room, I brought quite a few things for decorating... But f you did already decorate, that's fine too! I'm sure you have good taste." she added, trying not to sound rude. "Sorry about all of these questions, but would you like help making dinner, it's the least I could do since you're taking me in. I love helping in the kitchen." she smiled. She's a pretty decent cook since she's had a long time to perfect her cooking skills. Markus and Leon seemed nice enough and Maria was pretty cool, this might actually be a good thing that she was able to stay with them.

Maria smiled back at Kailey. "I tried to keep it a little plain so you could decorate it like you want it." She said. "If you want paint or anything for the walls you can let us know and we'll take you up to the store to pick some out." She wanted her to feel free to ask for anything she needed. She walked into the room and stepped back to let Kailey look around. "The closet is over there, and the dresser, with a vanity beside it." Maria pointed everything out as she spoke. "I hope you like it." She said with a smile.

Leon and Markus grabbed as many bags as they could carry, being asked if they needed help several times by the driver. Being twins, they were rather competitive, and some of the competitions were a little extreme. This one, however, was toned down. They heaved the bags into the house and set them down on the living room floor, being careful not to break anything she might have in them. They looked at each other with intense seriousness, then bursted into laughter.

"Sure, thanks! I'd like that." she nodded, gazing around the room with a grin. She's always had a small room, and this room was more than twice the size of her old bedroom so she was pretty happy with it. "I love it! Thank you so much!" she thanked her. She heard the boys laughing downstairs and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and sort of laugh as well. She found laughter quite contagious to her so this was normal. "They sure are energetic, huh?" she chuckled, sitting down on the bed as she looked at Maria.

Maria smiled. "Then we'll take you out tomorrow to let you pick something out." She said, and turned her head toward the door at the boy's laughter. A small smile spread across her lips as she shook her head. "When they want to be. Markus is more energetic than Leon, who seems pretty quiet before you get to know him." She explained. She looked back at Kailey and realized something. "Oh, you asked about dinner." She remembered. "I wouldn't mind you helping me at all." She said with a smile.

"We should probably take this stuff to her room so she can start unloading it." Markus said, picking up one bag and taking it up the stairs. Leon followed his brother carrying two lighter bags. The two walked into Kailey's room and set the bags down. Markus smiled at Kailey. "Hope we didn't mess anything up." He said. Leon rolled his eyes at his brother and walked out to get more bags.

"Sounds great!" she nodded to Maria. Kailey's head turned to the boys as they entered. "No you're fine, looks like everything's still intact!" she chuckled to Markus. "Thanks for getting my bags, by the way." she thanked the two. Looks like Maria has a point about those two, but I can be pretty quiet when I want to. I actually happen to be weirdly energetic today as well, must be the atmosphere...? she thought. "Well, I guess I can start unpacking later. What all would you like me to help with?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips as she leaned on one leg with a smile.

Markus smiled at Kailey and turned to see his brother had already left, so he quickly followed him. Maria turned to Kailey. "You don't have to do anything at the moment. We'll just let you settle in for a little while." She said to the young girl with a smile. "If you want I'm pretty sure the boy's will give you a tour while I talk to the man who brought you here." She said, then turned to walk out but stopped before she made it into the hallway. "Have fun." She said with another smile.

"Okay, bye!" she waved to Maria as she left. "I guess I should just wait until those boys come back with the rest of my bags so I can ask to be shown around, huh?" she asked herself as she rested on her bed and thought about today's events.

Mr. Norran, or just Dan which is his first name, was jotting down in some paperwork the agency had given him for this case of which he had been assigned to recently. Child services wasn't his ideal thought of a job, but it paid better than the other jobs he had available. He looked up to notice the woman, who he was informed was named Maria and was the head of the house, approaching him. He gave a wave and half smile. "Hello, I hope things are going well so far?" he asked, pausing his writing so he could converse with her.

Leon made it downstairs first and grabbed two more bags, turning around to find Marcus making it to the living room. He quickly grabbed more bags and followed his brother up to Kailey's room. They set down the bags. "I think there might be one left, I'll be right back." Marcus said before he left the room to go get the bag.

Leon looked at Kailey awkwardly, and shoved his hands in his hoodie pockets. "I'm sure mom said something about showing you around, right?" He said, trying to avoid an awkward silence.

"Yes! You wouldn't mind showing me around. would you?" she asked softly as she smiled to him. She could feel the tenseness in the air, but waved it away since it didn't really affect her. "I hope I'm not being a bother to you with having you do so much for me. First I move in and intrude on your family, second, you have to carry my bags, and now I'm asking for yet another favor." she said apologetically.
