Though changed up- shaken, not stirred.
From the sounds of it here, if not many are interested, it could easily be played out as a 1x1.
Otherwise...
Magic exists. Magic is neither good nor bad; it all depends on how it is wielded.
Where this story takes place (yet to be dubbed), is a place that varies in terrain, common weathers, with a low population of mixed species in each part.
So... the actual plot... :^)
I plan on it having based around people (any age, any gender, any-ish species) making deals with demon (or demon-like) creatures. Or already having their souls sold without any or late notice. Each of them followed by said demonic beings, whether incorporeal or some annoying dude/tte being that guy. All over all, just dealing with loads of nonsense.
I want to be a demon assigned to someone, haunting them or other (can be discussed lol, not necessarily following the quote). But it is, as the title implies, a demon that comes from "the meadow's shadow". My character is only able to follow whoever they've been stuck to if there's some kind of nature- no plant, no show. A steam-punk area? All plants killed by the smoggy air, and careless feet/wheels. Shopping district? Good luck, find some old lady's plant to hover around. Etcetera.
There'll be themes and sorts, like a Powerful Weapon Arc, an evil sorcerer who's here to lay destruction and reap some gnarly rewards, people going missing, and all that cool stuff.
Very much open to ideas!!! Help me, pleeeeeeeeeeeaaasssse~~~~~!
As your grandfather lies on his deathbed, he tells you of a terrible crime he committed many years ago and got away with. He also tells you that his freedom was the result of a spell he performed and that you should expect a visit from a dark man. "He will come out of the shadows," are his last words.

- A small city area, where the tallest buildings are measly 5-stories. A handful of abandoned, graffitied buildings, with somewhat-empty parking-lots (broken down cars, machinery, and whatever you put on the side of the road on a hard-rubbish day). Unfortunately, no real medical services available; receiving an injury that requires attention could be fatal.
- A hard-to-navigate nature-filled area, with dungeons, castles, temples, and strange statues. Lots of treasures and skeletons of the past explorers are to be found here and there. Most things are overgrown with the foliage, as to be expected. But some altars and weird rocks look to be recently used.
- A shopping district, in short. Anything and everything can be found here; from groceries, pets, latest inventions, weapons, and peculiar magical items (like amulets/pendants, spellbooks/scrolls, enchanted equipment, etc.).
- A steampunk sort of area, where innovative ideas have a chance to blossom. Though the area tends to be hard to make through without tripping over scrap parts, and the occasional cleaning droid. You really shouldn't be surprised if you see some of the robots being smarter than some of the fleshy-beings.
- A facility sort of area. Do you need medical care? Someone who can repair/build whatever? Someone who can take care of your brat/s? Someone who can aid you in your daily routines? A Magical Guild to keep the peace, or to take out your enemies? You can find all that and more here!
- There are loads more areas too (come up with any ideas of some before/during role-playing and I'll add them)! Beware the Lark's Meadow.
