One Thousand Club
(Loosely based on the book series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.)
Backstory
Roughly eleven thousand years ago there was a city called Atlantis. It was populated by a second kind of human called Apolites created by the Greek God Apollo. He made them stronger smarter and more beautiful than humans. His plan was to use his "children" to eventually over throw the Olympians
Instead the Apollite Queen envious of Apollo's current mistress sent her men dressed as beasts to kill her. The god was furious and cursed his people turning all of them into beasts.
Not one of them shall live beyond their 26th birthday the age his mistress was, they can not eat food and must nourish themselves with the blood of other Apolites. And make matters worse for the race if they step into his domain (day time) they are killed instantly. Washing his hands of the matter he thought they would be gone.
They weren’t alone a wrathful goddess and her adopted son taught the Apolites how to survive past their 26 birthday by devouring the souls of mortal men and women. These Daemons as they've become known spread like a plauge attacking the helpless mortals.
Artemis seeing what her brother had caused tries to combat it. She starts to pluck warriors upon their death giving them a choice. They can have vengeance on those that did them wrong in turn they sell their souls to her and join her army to combat the Daemons. The warriors became known as Dark Hunters they were given strength, speed, immortality and something special for themselves. But like the Daemons they are only able to go out at night
And so the Dark Hunters and Daemons would do battle throughout the years.

A string of homicides have left New York city in a state of emergency. No one knows how or why they were targeted. The only evidence were bite marks on their neck and what some would call empty eyes.
In reality a renegade Daemon sect has been terrorizing the helpless people of New York every night for the last month. Some speculation from the NY Branch of Dark Hunters is that they are preparing for something bad to happen.
