Magic Eight Ball
- One on One
Hey all! Currently craving a plot involving ancient aliens, the far future, space travel, and possible themes of found family because I just love that trope no matter the genre and setting haha. However, I am open to the idea of romantically shipping out my extraterrestrials to human characters because it's a guilty pleasure lowkey.
First off, a bit about me:
I'm Noeul (or Snow, whichever you prefer), 26, she/they/he, author of 15+ years, artist, gamer and dog mom!
Please always assume that I'm busy; I might not always be around to chat, and my responses to the RP can vary from once every other day to once a week. I do my best to be as communicative as possible if I might not be able to respond for a bit!
That said, I DO love to get to know each other! I love sharing playlists, memes, art, pinterest boards, what-have-you. Don't be afraid to send me anything not pertaining to the RP.
I am primarily a multi-para to novella writer, and my style of writing can lean more into the cryptic, flowery and poetic range, third-person past-tense. However do be warned that my general style of writing morphs and adapts because I write as a hobby and for fun, not for severe professionalism.
What I'm looking for:
- A patient partner.
- Long-term.
- Someone who enjoys discussing characters and the stories we create together! I really want someone who is just as invested in this as I am.
- A larger cast! I have a couple human OCs and a handful of these alien critters I want to write, so if you can bring at least two of your own characters to the story I'd be happy! But I'm also willing to compromise if we want do this as an alien x OC type of story.
What I'm not looking for:
- Short replies, one-liners, script. I need a bit of depth to work off of and to really keep me engaged.
- Godmodding/powerplaying. When in doubt, just ask!
- Rude or manipulative partners. Nasty attitudes simply won't be tolerated, towards me or my characters.
- A romance-focused story — while it's possible, I'm still more invested in the story and world, and I don't want romance to be the focus or a 'goal' we're working towards. In my personal experience, romance has always derailed the plot and focused too heavily on the characters' relationship, so I need there to be a good balance.
Now, onto the plot!:
Set in the far future where wars had once driven humanity from Earth, to the stars, and now beyond Sol. In attempts to find solace in deep space, vestiges of humankind have stumbled across a graveyard solar system dominated by a singular alien race — once fueled by fear, they are now aggressive super-predator lifeforms with the primary goal of exterminating all other sentient species, believing it to be necessary in ensuring their own survival.
Humanity must now conduct research on both the planets and aliens themselves, and while they will attempt to forge a peaceful first-contact, nobody is quite certain how the future with transpire. War on their heels, or the unknown before them?
Also, for the curious, while I haven't gotten to really drawing these alien fellas, they're similar to the Yautja (Predator), just a tad more insect-like with four arms and are covered in armour (also 4-8 eyes). They're very huge, the especially large ones having higher ranks and being labeled as machine-gods.
