Hello Students and Welcome to Dark Forest Academy's Character Sign Up Page! Below is the character sheet for you to fill out, but firstly we must go over some rules.



rules
1) Characters must abide by RPN's rules.
2) You may have as many characters you like, as long as you can keep them all active.
3) We allow any type of magical creature, but please do not over power them.
4) All characters must sign up for classes.
5) All characters will be assigned dorms.
6) We only accept appearances that are realistic artwork. Some anime, no photography, and with permission player drawn art. Video game artwork/gifs are allowed.

Ira is a rather odd person. While she is highly intelligent, she is very hard to deal with. Ira has never met mortals before. She has always lived in the realm of the Grim Reaper. Emotions, while she could theoretically feel them, are unknown to the kindled reaper. The different cultures, habits and behaviours of mortal beings seem odd and weird to her and she struggles to understand them. While Ignatius does his best to explain, she does her best to do what she understands from Ignatius. That however oftenly makes her do or say things out of the proper context or in a rather odd way. Once you get used to that, she´s a good company, but it really is something on its own, to be around her.

HISTORY:
Ira Moriendi is the first and only of her kind. She is a kindled reaper. Ira was created by the grim reaper himself, as he felt loneliness. He created a daughter for himself out of pure hellfire. While Ira is not nearly as powerful as her creator, she has something he does not. The powers of the hellfire that flows within her. She was raised by the reaper and until now, has always stayed in the realm of reapers, where she was isolated from anything alive. However, recently, her father has decided it was time for her to get to know the world of mortals. The world he worked in. THerefore, he sent her off to the best place to learn. A school. To be at her side, he created Ignatius, who was to assist her.
POWERS/ ABILITIES:
Hot Stuff
Ira´s body temperature is an average of 418°C, meaning it is not wise to touch her. Most of the things Ira touches (her clothes being an exception) immediatly are inflamed. To still be able to touch and interact with things, Ira has to wear a pair of oven mittens, that are specifically made for her. They have a pink check pattern.

Pyrokinesis
Ira is able to create and bend hellfire to her will. Hellfire, other than normal fire, does not need air to burn. Only magic can put it out. (Water, air, anything magical that´d make sense to put out a fire)

Flight
Even without wings, Ira has the ability to float. This floating however has no restricition in how long or high it is. It is not exactly as fast as flight granted through wings is, but it gets the job done.

True Vision
Ira is able to see without using her eyes. She sees everything in a range of 10 meters around her, 360°. However, anything further away than that range is not seen by her true vision. She would have to use her eyes, like anybody else.

Soul Detector
In a range of 10 meters around her, Ira does not only see, but feel the souls of each living thing. That means, no matter how disguised something is, if it has a soul, Ira knows where and what it is, if it is close enough around her.

Eye of Fear
Ira´s eyes have an ability of their own, one that Ira does usually refrain from actively using. Whoever looks into Ira´s eyes, will see their worst fear. Ira does not know what people see, she only knows, everybody that has looked into her eyes so far has not been the same afterwards. A little glance into the reapers eye will scar you for life. Ira however does her best to prevent people from doing so. Not only does she keep her hood pulled deep into her face, she has a cloth blindfold covering her eyes. She relies fully on her true vision, just to be safe.

Immortality
Ira, after all, is a reaper. She is death incarnate. You cannot kill death. Knock out, injure, all that is possible. Only killing her will never be sucessful.

Ignatius
Ignatius is a little living flame, a sentient being that follows Ira in her tracks. Ignatius is tasked to help Ira understand the way of mortals, to be her guide in a world foreign and strange to her. Though, the little emberling is a bit weird on his own.

This is Savva, except her hair is a dark brown color, not a black color. Her legs are also catlike with black fur, she also has a long furred tail.

NAME: Savva Wolfe

PERSONALITY: Savva is a very shy and observant at first. Her cat like shift somewhat mimics her personality. At first she won't make much of a moved towards other people or creatures, she likes to watch and stay in the shadows, making sure who she's dealing with and wether she'd have a problem with them or not. When put in the spotlight Savva can be awkward and anxious, she doesn't know what to say and would much rather run away from the moment. She spends a lot of time in her cat shift, because that way she doesn't need to "interact" with people that much, making it hard for her to find friends. If in a rare instance she does gain a friend, she'll show the other half of her nature. Like a cat, she is protective, goofy, and witty. She'll often stick by her friend even in tough situations. Savva is like a balance between cat and human, except in the wrong way. She tends to show her more human side around friends and family, jokey, sweet, and caring. But tends to show her cat side when afraid, panicked, alarmed, anxious and defensive, making it hard for her to solve a problem.

HISTORY: Savva wasn't always a shifter... She started out like a normal human, with a normal father, mother, and two sisters. Savva was the oldest of the twin sisters, and loved them dearly, her parents were also very generous and good people, but one day, they gave too much away... Behind the small house where all of them lived was a forest, that at first seemed quite forgiving. You see, the family was in a great debt, the 3 sisters didn't know it, but their parents were scraping up money just to feed all of them. One day, one of the twins, Jessy went out behind the house to play in the woods, it was daylight, and the whole place looked magical. But what Jessy didn't know, was that she wasn't alone... In the woods was a band of people who the father had owed money to, and haven't repaid... As revenge they took Jessy, and slowly tortured her. They ripped out her eyes while she was still awake, and made her eat them. They had ripped her apart mercilessly, and ate her flesh. The father's debt was "repaid." Once the family found out, the two parents slowly started going insane, what started out with talking to themselves, ended up with trying to murder their family. The two parents blamed Savva, for she was the oldest, and she did nothing to protect her sister. The other twin, Kerrah, was still grieving and did nothing to help Savva. They strapped her to the old kitchen table, and started sawing her legs off, she screamed in pain, until she passed out from blood loss, they also cut off her ears, and scared her belly. The two parents flee'd the house after that, panicked by the though of the police finding them. Kerrah who had finally choked down what had happened, ran to find help. She met an old witch, who said she could try to help. The witch gathered herbs, various parts of animals, and other supplies before heading to the house. By the time they arrived, Savva was nearly dead of blood loss, they had to act quick. Savva's original legs no longer could be sowed back on her, so the witch looked through her bag, and pulled out two Puma legs, (it was illegal to carry human legs.) and quickly stitched her up to try and stop her from bleeding. Knowing that she wouldn't be able to walk without a tail, the witch also stitched on a tail, and two ears, so that she could hear. Savva was still loosing blood though, so the witch took out a vile of cat blood, and poured it down her throat, sustaining her life. After 3 weeks she woke up again, but had to get used to walking with her new legs. Till today she has to use a crutch (to keep her balance) and sees her body as somewhat a curse.

POWERS/ ABILITIES:
Shapeshifting into a cat : The cat's blood was magic infested giving her shapeshifting powers.
enhanced hearing : Comes from cat ears
Enhanced Smelling : From cat's blood
Nine Lives: Savva has nine lives, which means she can die 9 times and still come back. If she lives through all nine lives (without dying prematurely she could be around 800 - 1000 years old and may choose what age appearance to be. Equation = human lifespan 70 - 100 X 9 = X amount of years.

Savva is a hard worker when it comes down to what she wants.

Name: Maxwell Frost

Age: 19

Species: Human Half Sanctum

Gender: Male

Personality: Unfortunately, Maxwell isn't the only personality within his body. He shares his body with a separate consciousness named Apex. Maxwell is a calm, level headed, and albeit caring person while Apex seems to enjoy the more vile things in life. Apex is a sadistic and malevolent being. Often they are arguing over what to do in a situation, especially since Maxwell is usually the one in the body since Apex cannot attain control unless Max is out cold.

History: Maxwell was a poor child, having been left at an orphanage as a baby. Not only was he rather ugly, never really connected with the other children, preferring to play solitaire with himself. He eventually taught himself simple sleight of hand card tricks and began making bets with the other children to get money from them. Because of this, he was driven out of the orphanage by some of the more spiteful older children. He learned how to live off the streets, swindling passerby of their money through card games and bets, all of which he cheated in. For seven years he lived off the streets, until one fateful night.

Apex was once a powerful sanctum, one of the best of the best. He was also one of the craftiest and most immature of them all, most often up to nothing but trouble. One day, he heard of an artifact that belonged to Akira called the Mask of Obscurity, which hid the identity of the user from everyone, even other sanctums. Apex planned to steal the mask and use it for his own benefit. It was locked away in the Vault of Artifacts, cleverly named by Akira himself. There were guards around it at all times, which made entry difficult for anyone who was not permitted entry. This however, was no problem for Apex. Apex used his looks and charisma to woo a female guard that he was once close friends with, granting him entry. He beelined to the Mask of Obscurity, one of the most powerful artifacts. Upon taking it, he swiftly made his way out of the vault, wearing the mask. The mask brought him far above his old power level, not only disguising him, but granting an exponential stat boost with it. He would have gotten away with ease, if Akira hadn’t shown up. Akira made rather quick work of what could have been called the strongest sanctum, leaving Apex in a heap on the ground. Akira respected Apex for his skills in retrieving the mask, and offered Apex a choice. Give back the mask and keep his freedom, or become a fallen Sanctum and keep the mask. Apex took the second option, believing it to be easy to come back from being fallen, but Akira put a second requirement to the task, he had to bond with a human child, and only if that child managed to defeat a Sanctum would Apex be redeemed.

Maxwell, now fifteen, had become what could be considered a child prodigy, but rather than musical talent or academic talent, Maxwell was an expert magician, all of his tricks and moves flawless. He was well known by his stage name, Magic Max. When off the stage though, he would don a theater mask and worked as a gambler, scamming people of their money. He was the Masked Magician in the streets, and Magic Max on the stage. He was living with his girlfriend, Serena at the time of the pairing. Serena was a witch, and was attempting at summoning a being of immense power, a demon of destruction. Although the spell failed in its original purpose, Akira took advantage of it and sent Apex through. The couple was shocked when Apex manifested into a physical form, explaining his plight. Maxwell offered to take on the challenge, looking forward to gaining powers and abilities equivalent to a god. In a few short moments the two were bonded, and the effects of the bond were already clear. Maxwell not only looked stronger, but was also better looking. The two became rather fast friends, often using each other’s abilities to their own advantage, and swindling people more effectively. Apex’s reality warping powers also aided Maxwell in his career, now no longer requiring strings and tricks to achieve impossible feats. All was well, until one day when Maxwell and Apex got into a little trouble. They had stolen money from the leader of a gang, and had jumped Max on his way home. Apex stepped in and killed all of the gang members in no time at all. Maxwell was somewhat of a passive man, never having been okay with the idea of killing. He had put his foot down, telling Apex that no more killing would take place. Apex, who had to kill a sanctum, agreed to the deal, but of course didn’t plan on honoring it. A gap grew between Maxwell and Apex, leading them towards conflict over the body at times. More often than not, Maxwell remains in control of the body, but if and when he is knocked out, Apex gains free control of the body. To this day the two remain on near polar opposites of the spectrum, but still manage to get along most of the time.

Powers/ Abilities:
  • Nigh-Absolute Counter- As a Half Prime Sanctum, Maxwell gained the ability to counter any attack as long as it isn’t instantaneous. His counters are always from his magical prowess, such as using a giant card to deflect an energy beam. Maxwell makes a conscious effort to avoid killing or fatally wounding another person with his counters. Apex on the other hand, has no mental limitations to this power and uses it to its full extent. As the difficulty of the counter increases, as does the strain on Maxwell’s body. Maxwell often will run out of stamina within three minutes of the start of a battle.
  • Magic- Maxwell not only gained the counter, he also has minor reality warping abilities that he calls magic. His magic shapes the reality around Maxwell to his will. This is also limited to his magic, he cannot simply wish someone to cease existing and it happen. He must use his hat or some other magical apparatus to conjure or vanish something.
  • Fallen Prime Sanctum Conditioning- Maxwell's physical and mental capabilities are far beyond that of even a peak human. He is capable of fluctuating his strengths to different aspects, the maximum being an extreme stat at the expense of all the other stats. This allows him to counter most anything that comes at him as long as he can react in time.
Gear:
Magic Hat- Maxwell’s Hat is a portal to an alternate dimension that Maxwell constantly manifests. Within that dimension he has total and full control of the reality around him.
Mask Of Obscurity: Maxwell owns a mysterious artifact that can shroud its wearer in a veil of anonymity. when the mask is on, it causes any outside observer to be completely unable to recognize or even remember any traits about the person wearing the mask. There is no way to make a connection between the wearer of the mask when the mask is on or off.

Strengths:
Good team player: Maxwell is A good team player, and often will work with a whole group for a collective goal
Street smart: Having grown up on the streets, Maxwell knows his way in an out of many situations. He's often been described as having a silver tongue.
Physical: Maxwell is physically fit and can hold his own in a fight

Pacifist: Maxwell is a pacifist and won't fight unless forced into it. He will not kill under any circumstances
