So here you are, ready to take on the mean streets of Night City, to carve your name into the concrete and titanium-steel face of the City of Dreams. But legends dont get made out of anonymity, choom.
We gotta know who you are, first.
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, there’s thethreefour rules of being an Edgerunner.
#1 Style Over Substance
It doesn't matter how well you do something, as long as you look good doing it. If you're going to blow it, make sure you look like you planned it that way. Normally, clothes and looks don't matter in an adventure—in this world, having a leather armor jacket and mirrorshades is a serious consideration.
#2 Attitude Is Everything
It's truth. Think dangerous; be dangerous. Think weak; be weak. Remember, everyone in Dark Future carries lots of lethal hardware. Each Character in this world is playing a Role—a face that person projects to the outside world as the real thing. They won't be impressed by your new Militech smartgun unless you swagger into the club looking like you know how to use it...and are just itching for an excuse. Never walk into a room when you can stride in. Never look at someone unless you can make it your best "killer" look. Use your best "I'm bad and you aren't" smile. Don't sit around the flat or cube waiting for the next job. Get on out and hit the clubs and hangouts. Make sure you're where the party starts.
#3 Live on the Edge
The Edge is that nebulous zone where risk-takers and high rollers go. On the Edge, you'll risk your cash, your rep, even your life on something as vague as a principle or a big score. As a Cyberpunk, you want to be the action, start the rebellion, light the fire. Join great causes and fight for big issues. Never drive slow when you can drive fast. Throw yourself up against danger and take it head on. Never play it too safe. Stay committed to the Edge.
#4 Break the Rules
If you manage to make it to the big leagues, be a Legend, you can do whatever the fuck you want. You think anyone got there playing fair?
But if we’re being serious, don’t break the RPN rules, the golden rule, and general codes of decent conduct. We’re here to have fun.
You are what you do in more ways than one. Don’t think of a Role as a “class” so much as a shorthand for what you do as an Edgerunner. Any Edgerunner can be more than one Role, as well. Silverhand, for example, was a Rockerboy and a Solo, where Morgan Blackhand was a Solo. THE Solo.
>//Rockerboy
Rock-and-roll rebels who use performance, art, and rhetoric to fight authority.
>//Solo
Assassins, bodyguards, killers, street samurai, and soldiers-for-hire in a lawless new world.
>//Netrunner
Cybernetic master hackers of the post-NET world and brain-burning secret stealers.
>//Tech
Renegade mechanics and supertech inventors; the people who make the Dark Future run.
>//Medtech
Unsanctioned street doctors and cyberware medics, patching up meat and metal alike.
>//Media
Reporters, media stars, and social influencers risking it all for the truth—or glory.
>//Exec
(Ex)Corporate power brokers and business raiders using their Megacorp training and connections to be the shark and the wolf.
>//Lawman
Maximum freelance law enforcers patrolling the mean streets and barbarian warrior highways beyond.
>//Fixer
Dealmakers, organizers, and information brokers in the post-War Midnight Markets of The Street.
>//Nomad
Transport experts, ultimate road warriors, pirates, and smugglers who keep the world connected.
Cybertechnology can be purchased almost anywhere. Some of the medical procedures are simple: walk-in types of surgery with minor installations taking place in whatever shopping mall clinics (Bodyshoppe, Fashion/Fusion, and Parts N' Programs are three popular chain stores) still exist, or drop-in medical centers (Docs R Us™). These installations are much like getting your ears pierced. You can even have upgrades and improvements plugged into the old hardware for the cost of the new parts, allowing you to start small (called "stripped" or "economy") and add as you go.
Cyberware is limited to simple augmentations, like better lungs or more strength.
I feel it needs to be said: No David Martinez-style Sandevistan. That was his gimmick, how he became a Night City legend. Forge your own path!
There are 8 kinds of Cyberware
Fashionware: Stuff you install for personal adornment. Tech-hair, light tattoos, shift-tacts, chemskin, EMP threading (aka "cyberlines"). These kinds of cyberware are purely cosmetic and won’t impact your humanity.
Neuralware: Stuff you install to enhance or augment your reflexes, mental abilities, and psionic abilities (if you have them)
Cyberoptics: Stuff you install to improve your visual abilities.
Cyberaudio: Stuff you install to improve hearing and auditory abilities.
Internal Body Cyberware: Stuff that is implanted in your body and work like organs or systemic improvements.
External Body Cyberware: Stuff that is installed in, on, over or immediately through the skin
Cyberlimbs: Cybernetic arms or legs that can be enhanced with a variety of options.

Rather than get bogged down in too many numbers, simply list your Attributes from greatest to least in whatever order fits your character. Keep your Cyberware in mind, as it will effect your body and mind
Body - Physique, toughness, and physical prowess.
Reflexes - Response time, accuracy, and coordination.
Tech - Technical ability and know-how, the ability to manipulate tools and machines
Intelligence - Intelligence, problem solving and analytical ability
Cool - Charisma, poise, killer instinct, and the ability to keep cool under pressure.

Every Edgerunner starts with a neural link and interface plug with no Humanity Loss. If you wish to be a neo-luddite with no chrome as all, that is also an option.
>//Gear
You are allowed ONE "special" equipment. This can be cyberware, a custom modded weapon, or retrofitted vehicle. If you choose cyberware, be aware I will be very critical of what I allow. If you choose a weapon/vehicle, it must be based on an existing brand or model in the world, but no AVs. This is only a restriction for the start of the story, your character can certainly gain more over time.

Where did you come from? Where will you go? A few paragraphs about your character’s backstory, a list of key moments. Get creative with it! Collaborate with your fellow players in shared background material, even!

So long as you use this information, feel free to use whatever bbcode sheet you like. Bonus points if I can read it on mobile, though.
RECLUSE
Name: Unknown // [Redacted]
Handle/Alias: Recluse
Age/DOB: Unknown
Race/Ethnicity: Unknown
Role: Fixer
Gender: Presumable Female; she/they
Recluse is a hermetic netrunner who truly lives up to their name. They tend to perform all of their dealings digitally, reaching out through encrypted holos, message chains, and dead drops. When they hold meetings, it is done in the NET, where their NET Icon is a tremendous brown recluse spider with an icy, ethereal voice. Strange, then, that she has requested a court of Edgerunners at the Forlorn Hope to meet for a job...
Theories run rampant in regards to her identity, each more wild than the last.
QUEEN MOROSHA
Name: Morosha
Handle/Alias: Queen Morosha
Age/DOB: Early 70s
Race/Ethnicity: African-American
Role: Solo/Fixer
Gender: Female; she/her
The self proclaimed Queen of Solos, Queen Morosha has been holding court out of the Forlorn Hope ever since 2045. Never shy from the spotlight and always angling for the next big gig, experiences has tempered her edge but hasn't done a thing to quench the fire of her ambition. Her extremely visible personal have provided her a dedicated fanbase, constantly angling to join her task force.
Double dipping as a Fixer since the end of the war, she always has her finger on the pulse of the city and the Edgerunner landscape -- seeking keeping tabs on promising talent and possible problems.
BURNOUT
Name: Alejandro Cruz-Taura
Handle/Alias: Burnout
Age/DOB: ~30
Race/Ethnicity: Hispanic
Role: Fixer
Gender: Male; he/him
A tale as old as time. A Santo Domingo kid that came up owed nothing, so he took everything that wasn't nailed down. Where it started with petty theft, it went to grand theft auto; to ultimately filling the power vacuum left by El Capitan. People always need wheels in Night City, and life on the Edge leaves no time for things like paperwork. So Burnout does that for you! He'll get you wheels and their documents, so long as you don't ask how the proverbial sausage is made.
His chop shops sublet to all sorts; gangoons, mercs, corpos, and combat cabbies.
DUCE
Name: Caesar Mori
Handle/Alias: Duce (doo-chay)
Age/DOB: 44
Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian/Italian
Role: Solo
Gender: Male; he/him
Caesar "Duce" Mori is the current 'commander' of the Red Chrome Legion. What started as a neo-fascist pozergang in the 20s has become a full-blown militia, dwarfing even their stance during the Time of Red. With the advent of Abhumans, those afraid or abhorred by the mutant and the freak have flocked to Caesar's banner. A potent orator and charismatic leader, the Duce has orchestrated alliances with other extreme-leaning gangs, like Maelstrom and Barghest.
KHAN
Name: Raj Mahajan
Handle/Alias: Khan
Age/DOB: Unknown; presumed late 20s-mid30s
Race/Ethnicity: Indian -- Bio-Exotic
Role: Solo/Lawman
Gender: Male; he/him
Raj was a secret that was never supposed to come to light, let alone go off the reservation. If rumors are to be believed, he was one of the first-generation abhuman bio-exotics, but he was custom tailored in a Biotechnica lab. There have been stories of the corporation's Menagerie for some years -- an isolated facility where they keep their most rare experiments, subject, and exotic indentures. Being all of the above, it was home... at least until Raj broke free. Word on the street is that he was part of some Biotechnica exotic kill-squad that deserted at the end of the War, starting up the gang known as the Strayz
It would explain the near full-body augmentation on a cybernetic and organic level, as well as the evident military training that himself and those in his gang possess.
