Customized Role Not Showing Up in Hosted Project

My Interest Check
So I have this Hosted Project that I started last night for NinjaGo, and so I made the default member role's custom title be "Ninja." That was simple. But then when I went to make myself "Sensei" (cuz...it's fun to do stuff like that) it doesn't show up as that. In the list of members, I'm still listed as "Roleplay Leader," and when I go to edit the role, "Sensei" is in the box. So I'm confused why I keep coming up as "Ninja." Someone please halp. I don't understand.

You need to edit the role name as well.  The title and role name are two separate elements.

Your screen shot still tells me that the role name is "roleplay leader", which is why it is appearing as such. As I mentioned, the title and the role name are two separate elements.  The title is similar to the user title on the public profile.  'The Pear Queen' in my HP is replaced with 'GM'.  The role name will not appear anywhere on the HP.

My problem is that I'm not showing up as "Sensei" in like the OOC chat, which is what would happen usually. It's happened the other times I'm doing this. I put "Roleplay Leader" as my role, and the role says my custom title should be "Sensei" but that's not showing up.

That is my problem.

Try this.  Go back to the 'Manage Members' menu and edit yourself (click the pen).  Double check that you have selected yourself as the role leader and that you do are inheriting the role title.

Can you link the HP please, and I'll take a look?

Hmm, here's my last suggestion.  If you haven't tried to do so already, go back to the same menu and edit yourself.  Unselect the inherit element and enter in a custom title.

For some reason, having Ninja set as Default Member Role overrides your Sensei title.  I've set Sensei to Default Owner Role (because that's you, and no one else), then turned Ninja off Default Member Role, and that fixed it.  Since that makes everyone not a ninja anymore, I manually went in and set their roles, but if you get new players you'll have to set them as well.  Not sure why default member overrides default owner.  We'll have to look into that.

I see. Thank you for looking into that! :D

Just to clarify, default member was never overriding default owner.  My titles and roles were working perfectly fine.  I just don't want you to go in thinking it's a site-wide thing, is all. ^_^

Good to know.  I'll mark it "sometimes."  It clearly was in this case (I tried all combinations of default/non-default) but I'm glad it doesn't always, or even usually, do that.
