heyy! this is my first time posting so don’t hesitate lmk if i’ve missed any important info/broken any rules
i’m myst!! check my about for basic details (pronouns, age, etc.)
this interest check is for a mxm dark romance between a catholic inquisitor and a “heathen”, or non-believer. i came up with the idea not too long ago so it’s not completely fleshed out, but here’s the important shit:
themes: religion/religious trauma, historical realism, dark romance, violence, adventure. defffinitely some nsfw down the line lol
- muse a (the inquisitor) is new to the inquisition, but has been a zealot since childhood. his passion for religious justice is what earned him such an esteemed position within the church at such a young age (thinking 23-25).
- muse b (the heretic) is a non-believer, likely a foreigner. was captured during some sort of raid and refused to acknowledge god as his lord and savior. he ends up imprisoned, of course, & by the start of the rp he’s been in prison for about 4-5 months.
- the inquisition believes muse b is possessed because of his total reluctance to turn towards christ after months of torture. they refuse to kill him, believing it would release the demon possessing him onto another innocent soul.
- muse a, incensed by muse b’s stubbornness, volunteers to take muse b across the country (somewhere in spain or latin america methinks) to a priest he knows. said priest has an impressive track record when it comes to exorcisms, and muse a firmly believes that he’ll be able to help muse b.
- muse b obviously doesn’t want to be “helped”, but goes without a fight because he’s probably tired of getting beat up all the time in prison lol. poor him

- muse b is a gay little shit and likes to tease muse a, who believes that if he’s drawn into muse b’s tricks he’ll go straight to hell.
and thus the rp begins with muse a and b preparing to start their journey! i’m leaning towards the inquisitor as my role, but if you’d strongly prefer him i’m cool with playing the heretic too!
as for partners: if any of the following 6 statements describe u, i may not be the best partner for u. i’m sure ur super awesome tho!! if none of these describe u, then def dm me so we can plot about it

- i am a minor/under 19 (ik 18 is technically an adult, but… nah LOL)
- i prefer not to write nsfw.
- i am uncomfortable with ooc chatter.
- i prefer that my partner makes all the plot decisions. (this is an important one. i like creative partners who like to throw their two cents in about plot!)
- i am easily triggered/uncomfortable by mentions of violence or bodily harm.
- i wouldn’t consider myself advanced literate/novella length.
PS: when i called this a dark romance, i was serious. there’ll be a lot of manipulation of muse a on muse b’s end, and perhaps violence from muse a. neither of these men are nice to each other LOL but it’s okay because lowkey, muse a deserves it. then again… muse b really makes it hard to be nice!!
