PERSONAL DETAILS​

Brice is the quintessential fresh off the boat guy, or, perhaps 'plane' is more appropriate. He comes from a well-off family and only lets that get to his head in the best way [if such a way does exist]. Unlike the rich kid careless with spending and flaunting the money that's not actually his, he's pompous with the dominant, go-getter personality to strive for his own successes. He has a leadership mentality -- positive traits for a business-oriented drive. However, his level of narcissism and bad habit of being condescending follow. Where he gets his arrogant attitude is a bit of a mystery since neither of his parents are like that, but perhaps it's just a phase? Or maybe a subconscious cover for something more? ...Or he's just a jerkface. --Pick your excuse and stick to it. In conversation, he may be very blunt and sarcastic, but knows how to 'recover' his words if they strike someone the wrong way as he's crafty with speech.

Although, his personality seems very coarse, he surely has a soft side -- well capable of being sweet and has an unexpectedly good sense of humor as he can be a jokester. And, despite the narcissism, he's actually quite giving and not that selfish; he just spends a lot of time complimenting himself and boosting his name in ways calculated enough not to be too abrasive or too subtle. That same leadership mentality helped his good trait of being outgoing. Generally, he is friendly and very laid back to new people he meets. He'd seem quick to judge, but is very analytical before casting judgment unless someone strikes him the wrong way. First impressions are important in his world. Lastly, family and his culture are important to him. Though he has been in the States for over 10 years now, he still holds many of his Taiwanese cultural customs. ...But do call him 'Brice'. BACKGROUND


Biography:

His parents met in the U.S. His father, Chaojian, was there on a business trip and had gone out one night with a coworker/friend to a burlesque show. His mother, Eileen, had actually been one of the performers there. His father ended up making it backstage after the show and things progressed from there. After maintaining a fair long distance relationship and being prompted continuously by his father, his mother moved to Taiwan where they later married.

Brice has had a rather clean, simple background compared to most; not too much hardship. Born in Sanxia, New Taipei City, he had since spent all his growing life in Taiwan. His father was very strict on enforcing the culture on him and his mother didn't object. After all, they were living in a place where it would be important as possible for Brice to 'fit in'. Though, she is the reason he speaks English.

While 'fitting in' was ideal, he typically stood out. Due to his appearance, he was often treated as a foreigner by those who didn't know him until they learned he was fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese, and mixed race. Being that 'hunxue-er' - as they are called there - is often idolized, this probably brought him more praise than prejudice, making him popular with girls and many others. However, while fully embracing his combination of ethnicities, he didn't always enjoy the 'awe' he got over something he didn't even control. In his book, he was just another Taiwanese guy, and not some spectacle to ogle and interact with for the sake of it. Don't get him wrong, though; he loves his home country and has often missed it.

When his father ended up agreeing to a business deal that would bring in more income, but required them to relocate, the family moved from Taiwan to the U.S. when Brice was 15.

PERSONALITY​
Tae Joon has a certain charming aura that surrounds him. He often uses this to his advantage; not for nefarious reasons but to cheer up those who need it and even those who don’t. He’s very friendly to others, stranger or no. He doesn’t always seek out conversation, but he’s never averse to anyone up for a chat. He’s easy to talk to and goes with the flow. His favorite topics are feel good stories that happened him during the week, or hilariously embarassing ones because he’s always up for a good laugh even at the expense of himself.

He’s on the naive side thanks to his idealistic tendencies. He’s always hoping for the best and always looks for the good in others and in seemingly grim situations. He’s been told this trait of his can either be really inspirational or incredibly annoying because he’s “not being realistic enough”. His thoughts on that is the world is bad enough so why add more negativity to it?

While he’s an easy person to be around he does have his quirks. Mainly him being incredibly particular. He likes things a certain way. He doesn’t like it when things don’t match or don’t line up; a clean aesthetic brings him peace of mind. He also hates breaking routine. He’ll sit in the same spot, order the same thing, etc. and can get a little lost if he’s forced to do something new *cue his indecisiveness rearing it’s ugly head*.
BACKGROUND​
He was a surprise baby for his mother and father who’d already had his older sister, Haneul, almost 10 years prior to him. She was supposed to be their first and last, but a night of celebrating their anniversary led to their happy accident they named Hwan Tae Joon.

Ultimately Tae Joon had a happy and priveleged childhood. His mother is a nurse and his father is a dermotologist, so their family was pretty well off and wanted for nothing. His relationship with his sister, Haneul is a bit distant because of their large age gap, but despite that the two siblings do love and care for each other and occasionally make coffee dates to catch up.

As an adolescent, Tae Joon did well in school and when it came down to decide what career path he wanted to head down he already had his eyes set on medical school. His parents were his biggest influences in this decision, but what also helped him decide was the time he’d volunteered in his community after an earthquake. Being hands on and actually seeing just how his, at the time, limited knowledge in medicine still made a positive impact for others inspired him. He wanted to be capable of helping people for whatever injury or illness they had, minor or major, and thus his dreams of becoming a doctor was born.

Tae Joon is currently in his 4th year as a pre-med major. The workload is an incredible amount of stress, but he is doing something he loves.

- Yes, My mother owns Chinese Restersaunt in Busan, I’ve been working in the kitchen since I was about 14 until I left home.

“What made you apply for this job?”
- I want to work with people from different environments and with different life stories. I also already have Barista Experiences.

“How will you handle difficult customers?”
- I will apologies first for not being able to meet the customers needs first time, then I shall offer my assistance once again but if they continue to become difficult to handle I will ask my manager for advice on how to handle the situation.

“What would you do if a product had run out and a customer was being difficult?”
- Firstly I would aplogize and remind then tell the customer we are going to have the product back in stock as soon as possible. I shall then suggest a few items off the menu that are similar to what the customer orginally wanted.

“How would you handle a new situation like a customer yelling at you?”
-I would not interrupt the customer and listen to what they are telling me. I shall then offer them all the assistance I can give to them.

“Can you handle working with others?”
- Yes, I can.

Background: Choi Soojung was born to Choi Minho and Choi Heemi. Soojung is the eldest of 4 children with herself being the only girl in the family. Growing up she had to bear the responsibility of setting angod exampe for her 4 younger brothers as Soojung was good st everything except for school. Soojung was 13 when she found out that she was dyslexic and it actually came as quite a relief to the family who orginally thought that she was just stupid. However after gaining the right support Soojung finally began to make progress in her academic studies as in her Vinson year of high school she did extremely well on the KSAT getting her s place at Yonsei University in Seoul.

Moving to Seoul was a bit of a culture shock for Soojung as She was now on her own without the support of her family but the young women soon made friends. She stood out because of her thick busan dialect which she refused to loose even though the cool Seoul kids looked down upon her for it. At Yonsei Soojung studied to become a Graphic designer and after graduating it became apparent that it would take time to develop herself as an artist so to keep herself a float she decided to apply for a job at a cafe.
