In-Depth Appearance
Tahjae has a rather unique appearance, especially in person. He sports an almost olive skin-tone, gray eyes and dark brown hair plated into medium-length dreads. His facial hair consists of a thin mustache over his lip, slit eye brows and average length sidelength. Jae has almost perfect, radiant skin, and in spite of his ghetto-vibe, has a slight charm to his physique. Unlike most others with his loudmouth and attitude, Jae only stands at 5'6", weighing about 148 lbs. with that. He's got the body of a swimmer, a lean but muscular Ottermode physique. Whether he likes it or not, Tahj has unnaturally soft skin, even baby-like.

Tahjae obviously enjoys dancing, though besides that his interests fall in rapping and listening to rap or trap music, working out and building muscle, sharpening his craft in dance, skateboarding at a local park, or playing pick-up basketball.
Dislikes
Tahjae dislikes the majority of his nicknames and finds many of them offensive. He also dislikes fast-paced talkers or workers (albeit he prefers fast dancing and flowing on a beat). Jae hates being told what to do, no matter what it is, and instinctively moves towards doing whatever it was. He dislikes contemporary and ballet music as well as the music generally related to it.

Personality
Tahjae is a very lowkey, nonchalant character, often preferring to keep to himself or in a smaller group. Not because he's shy or afraid, but can only endure the annoyance having even just a small circle of friends brings, not to imagine big groups or parties. He's not a very loose personality, often sticking straight to his guidelines and tables he's got set up for himself. Tahjae's main focus is to sharpen and get better at dancing and the arts, evident in his grades and performances as he's constantly dubbed an overachiever. He loves criticism about his style and is always looking to improve, but even as a cause of his ego, looks down on most of his competition. Tahjae's evidently one of the more ambitious members of the highschool, at least towards his own field of the arts, and is too passionate to let anyone step on/affect his dance.

Even if he doesn't show it though, Jae is definitely a very caring person, especially for the little guy. He won't hesitate to use his booming voice to help someone too shy too use their own. Even still, it takes a lot to catch Jae's attention, but when done, he grows a mutual respect between competitors and friends.

Appearance: A professional athlete's body in the form of a dancer. Bronzed skin & toned and fit hourglass shape with sleek and soft features. Long light brown hair that gets lighter as it grows, with an eye color of hazel-grey (can appear bluish in certain lights). Her most distinctive feature is her height, standing at a tall 5'10", but don't let that fool you, her finesse and body control is adept.

Personality: She's high esteemed, honorable and very devoted to herself in particular! It could be anything from work to home to a partner, whatever it is, she rules it. Jaz is always center stage and full of flair, she enjoys basking in the spotlight, and always makes her presence known. She's full of energy that acts like a magnet for other people. History:
Jasmine was born in a loving family in a wealthy town. Her father was a police officer, her mother a nurse. She lived free of worries until she was about 13 years old, but at that point things changed. She lost her brother in a birth gone wrong, and her mother felt alone, miserable and despaired. While the tragedy was very traumatic and impactful to the family, it did show her parents that life was too short indeed, and they wanted their daughter to illuminate as bright as the star she could be in a seemingly bleak world. With her ingenuity and natural talents in dancing, she managed to overcome all odds and escape her self-thought hell. This has turned her into the woman she is today. She became more important to the dance community, teaching a few workshops and winning any and every battle she got in, and was slowly improving upon existing dance skills. However, her charisma and magnetic energy also managed to land the attractive and bright young woman a role in a major film as an extra, and thus started her interest in acting. She was a raw and one in a million talent, with her method based acting making her stand out in prestige among the performing arts industry. One would look at her and assume she was one of those artsy-fartsy type of people, but Jaz was multi-layered with many elements. She was supremely mature, wise, and smart beyond her years academically. She was also into anime and comics, and was also the same girl who could tell you about the latest tech and engineering, while whooping behind in video games. Even to this day, she is discovering hidden secrets of herself in a remarkable world. But with her determination and capability, there's nothing to stop her from climbing to the top. She lives everyday like it could be her last, to carry the memory of a brother she'd never get to meet. Her art is from the soul, because said soul has felt the true expression of life. So when she dances, or acts in a role... you can almost feel her life pains and joys coming off of her.

Mandy is far from your model-esque female. With her huge nose that she inherited from her father and her mousy brown hair given to her by her mother, she is not a blonde haired, blue eyed beauty. But what she lacks in beauty, she makes up for in spirit. Standing at about 5'3, she's shorter than your average female, and she can't walk in heels to save her life. She's got a few extra pounds on her, and her body is far from athletic. She's clumsy and can't dance, but she practices at home because she wants to get better. But once she gets on stage and starts singing, you forget all of that.

Mandy has alot of spirit that makes up for the fact she's not your average beauty. Ever since she was little, her parents instilled in her a drive and a need to succeed and be the best. Though she did gymnastics when she was younger, she fell out of it in favor of singing and performing, hence the fact that she's not the skinniest (nor the heaviest) girl now. Mandy always wants to be the best, and it shows. She's stubborn, prideful, and willing to do whatever it takes to do and get what she wants. Despite all this, she does have a fairly big heart and wants to see others succeed as well (she just wants to be better). She's always willing to listen and give advice, even when it might not be wanted.

Mandy was born to a high end music producer father and a model mother, so it was a given that she would end up a part of the industry somehow. Though her father can't produce her own music, much to her dismay, he has contacts that can help her out once she graduates (his rule). Her mother wanted Mandy to follow after her footsteps as a model, but even as a kid, standing there and taking pictures was never something she was passionate about. She had too much energy; she was all over the place.

Being an only child, she had her parents undivided attention. It quickly became obvious that Mandy was a natural performer. She sang before she talked; if she wanted to tell you something, she sang it to you. They quickly had her enrolled in voice lessons, and she was in them until her freshman year of high school. She dropped gymnastics as a young kid, wanting to devote all of her time to singing and learning to do magical things with her voice.

Tragedy struck when her mother decided it was high time to leave her father. They'd been having issues for years, but it was all behind the scenes. The blow came out of nowhere, and Mandy was devastated. Going into high school with just her father around was difficult, and her attitude towards everything made it hard to make friends. She was determined to be the best and wanted to show off her talents, and that combined with her competitive nature made people not like her. She's calmed down some since then, and has even made a couple friends, but it's still hard for her.

Ben has long raven hair falling to his neck, he has dark eyes and a big, slightly lopsided smile. His face is very boyish and youthful, a lot of people mistake him for being younger than he is, around 15 or 16. He is quite tall at 5'9", and every inch of his body is covered in wiry muscles. He has an extreamly flexible body and long legs. Most would say his appearance is rather adorable. He also has both ear lobes pierced. Background
Benny was adopted into a family in America when he was three years old when his mother lost him due to neglect. The couple who adopted him couldn't have kids of their own so they were happy to raise him. Benny never called them anything other than mum or dad since he was so young when he was adopted. He had a fairly normal upbringing. He grew up in the South, and never felt like he fit in. He spent most of his time inside while other kids his age were out playing sport or jumprope. His parents owned a fairly large property, so Benny was kind of isolated. His father was very gruff and outdoorsy, he tried to take Benny fishing and camping. Ben didn't mind, but it wasn't really his cup of tea.

Ben and his dad got along well enough, but things were a bit tense between them sometimes, especially when Benny got into DnD with his school friends and started neglecting his chores to play. Benny only really went out to go to school or to walk the family dog. His parents also soon noticed he wasn't really interested in dating. Or more specifically dating females. His parents argued a lot about him, sometimes loudly. Benny was only young at this stage, but he had already put all the blame for the trouble in his parents marriage on himself. So, he decided to join a club at school. Unfortunaly, things just got worse from there, because Benny had just become the only make in his school to join the Ballet class.

His teacher was a free thinker, and she accepted him with open arms when he decided to join. Benny kept his ballet quite from his parents, hoping to surprise them with his first performance. But when he invited them along to the school hall, his father made it half way through the show, and then up and left. His mother stayed and watched, and afterwards she gave him a big hug. Bennys father was very cold and distant from that point on, and the arguing between his parents got worse. But Benny really liked Ballet, and he was really good at it, so as he got older, he continued to compete.

Eventually, his parents split up for good, and he and his mother moved away to California, where Benny was offered a place in a very prestigious school. Benny was doing this out of passion, but was not overly competitive and he was still quite upset about the loss of his family life and friends, can he make it to the top here or will he fade into the background.

winnie's pretty tall, and has a face most often described as ethereal, and most seen with a dreamy expression. it complements her contemporary style in dance a lot, and during dance, winnie is known to be very expressive when it comes facial expressions, though she's rarely seen without a small smile when off-stage. she has slim and long legs that she's quite proud of, and has never enjoyed wearing extravagant clothing, always opting for something classy and simple. her natural black hair falls about halfway down her back, and is usually pulled into a ponytail when she's practicing. she's never thought about dyeing it– she likes it natural.

[div class=scroll]winnie tends to come off as quiet or intimidating, even, to some. she rarely speaks outside of when necessary, though the silence seems like an aversion to interaction, the fact is is that winnie has trouble talking with strangers. around friends, she's much more talkative, and its very evident. winnie has never approached someone first, and most of her friends are people who took the first step. it may be difficult to get close to her, but once you're there, she makes it quite clear of her affections towards you. immensely loyal, she'll stick by you through thick and thin.

winnie is very sweet, but combined with her social ineptness, it may have resulted in her becoming somewhat of a pushover. she has trouble saying no, and it proves to be a serious problem sometimes. always the first to take the blame and apologise, most of it stems from an issue of low self-esteem. she rarely speaks up about her own problems with how people treat her, brushing it off as herself being too sensitive. winnie's not exactly bright, but she tries her best in everything she does. she's got a little bit of an odd laugh, but it has its own charm, and like her, it'll grow on you pretty quickly.

when it comes to dance, she's a lot more forceful and stubborn, with it being so close to her heart. she's able to be confident when talking about dance and while dancing, though in most other situations she'd prefer not to stand out. she takes her craft very seriously, and may end up snapping at people if they were to interrupt her while she's trying to focus, though she regrets it 100% of the time. while she loves performing other amazing choreography, she enjoys coming up with her own choreographies as well; winnie doesn't cope well with dancer's block at all, and it frustrates her to no end whenever she can't come up with something new and beautiful.

[div class=scroll]winnie was born and raised in los angeles, california, the only child of two second-generation chinese. her father was an esteemed lawyer, her mother a professional dancer. during her upbringing, her father was often away for work, and her mother was left to care for her daughter. she'd bring her to her dance practices, where winnie discovered a passion for the same art, perhaps inherited. the younger girl would mimic the actions, and she quickly became an honourary member of the dance troupe.

they were her first teachers, and they would continue to mentor her after her mother passed on. mrs. cheng had died tragically in a car crash while heading to the airport to catch a flight. during that period of mourning, she relied more than ever on her mother's fellow dancers, who'd already become a second family to her. her father made efforts to reach out to her, and though the two got greatly closer during the time right after her mother's death, he fell back into his busy work schedule, and the only support he could provide for her afterwards was in the form of financial aid.

when she'd told him she wanted to study at LAPA, he agreed. he knew of her love for dance, and covered her tuition when she was accepted. nowadays, winnie spends most of her free time in the dance studios, cultivating her craft. she's not sure if this is what she wants to do for the rest of her life just yet, but it's starting to seem that way.

In-Depth Appearance: Other than his jawline he has softer features in the face. He is a bit underweight. He tends to forget to eat when studying or rehearsing his lines. Wears a lot of cardigans and long-sleeved shirts as well as skinny jeans. He is fairly short at around 5'6", and is hoping to get taller. Some actors make the short thing work, but he doesn't want to take any chances. He also has green eyes and dark brown hair that contrasts well with his lightly tanned, but pinky skin tone. Personality: Caleb is most comfortable on stage. It isn't like he isn't comfortable off stage, but when he does crazy things on stage people are usually more forgiving. Most people who meet Caleb off stage are surprised by his presence on the stage. He can scream in grief and change into anyone needed almost like a chameleon. Most think he won't actually take his work seriously, but he does to a point where it isn't even funny. Once he gets into his characters headspace there is no going back for at least the two hours the show lasts. In his own skin, he resembles a normal teenager, who really doesn't have anything better to do than play acting games and spend hours with his friends. Some might have thought he was obnoxious at his old school, running up to his friends with a whole monologue prepared just to ask them to hang out after school. He didn't really see it as being obnoxious. He wants to share his whole self with people even if it means embarrassing them or himself. Even if people sneer at him hatefully he just thinks he's showing his friends (and an entire hall of people) his love. Leaving his old school to go to California was not at the top of his list. If he had to choose whether his friends or his acting was more important he would choose his friends in a heartbeat. Circumstances changed, however. He has kind of a tough time making friends when it comes to meeting people, but once he's your friend he's attached forever.

Background: He grew up in Point Roberts, Washington with a dual citizenship in Canada and USA. His parents were the kind that didn't really care what he did as long as he did it well. He has an older sister who is currently in law school who he's very close to. Most of his friends are ones that he has had since he was 5, both living in the United States and in Canada. Acting was something that came naturally to him, starting as a joke when he was a kid. He would pretend to be certain people to make his family and friends laugh and most of the time he succeeded. He became addicted to making others feel joy.

That continued for a while until he was introduced to musicals and Shakespeare. It had shifted from making others feel joy to instead making a community and telling a story. It wasn't limited to one emotion, but instead all of them. One of his proudest moments was making someone cry for the first time while on stage. Still, it remained that he just wanted to have a good time with friends, his best friend Winny in particular. They were practically attached at the hip. Most of his happiest memories was being with her, surrounded by all of their friends playing "Honey I love you" or driving up to the nearest city and just being idiots.

Cal has had two major changes in the last three years that have really been testing him. One, his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died after two years of living with it. It had been heartbreaking, especially to watch someone like his father go through it. His parents were probably the strongest willed people that he knew and to see them lose a part of that during this tragedy was too much. His mother was somehow holding it together a year after his death, but a bit of the light in her eyes had flickered out with his loss. Again, he was back to only wanting his mother to feel joy, not whatever this was. He felt a bit of the emptiness as well, but it wasn't only over the loss of his father, but also his mother.

The second was his sister moving to the other side of the country for law school. She had been such a constant in his life. She was a rock, it wasn't surprising that she was going to law school just by her personality. He was proud of her though, especially since she was moving forward and not backward because of their father. Cal really respected that, and hoped to model the same for people in the future.

His mom was the one who decided they should move to California for this experience. She had said that Washington held too many memories and if they wanted to move forward they would need to make a change. She also said it was a waste to not do it when Cal was so passionate and talented. He had disagreed right away. Taking away the only stability in his life was not what he needed. He didn't want to lose his friends. Then he looked into his mom's eyes and knew he couldn't be selfish. She needed this, and he couldn't take that hope away from her. This school was a new step in his life, one he was hoping wouldn't be his downfall.
