Codename: Knight
Location: Brockton Bay General Hospital
Action: Waiting for a Worthy Opponent

One way for a hero to come save the day, is if there are innocent people at risk. Today is one of those days, as the infamous Super-Villain Knight has returned. The armored individual walked in front of the gathered hospital group, each one of them under the influence of Knight's Mind control. The old, sick, injured, and the staff were all so weak willed, so he took control over all of them. Today marks his return, but he seeks a worthy opponent to test himself and his new powers on.

So with that he clicked some cables together and sent a video to every news station marked with the name "My Return". This video contains a video of Knight pacing back and forth between his hostages, and began talking in his metallic voice of his.

"Surprising isn't it? That I would return back since my disappearance and alleged death after 3 years. I am back Brockton Bay, and I seek worthy opponents. As you can see I have taken over a hospital, to be exact Brockton Bay General Hospital. Every single one of the occupants are under my control, and are willing to do whatever I wish to them. I will cut this short, I seek to fight the worthiest people this city can offer me one on one. Now I have some rules. 1. if I have to fight more than one all these people will die. 2. If anyone tries to rescue them while I'm distracted, they will kill themselves as per my orders before. 3. If any hero tries to help these people, some of the nurses and doctors will begin to shoot any patient they see. Now I have two conditions to my fight, if I win I will kill the hero in question unless I find them worthy, refuse and everyone here will die. If the hero wins, I will submit myself to the authorities and be arrested on various charges. Oh and if no one arrives in the next hour, everyone in this hospital will die. I hope you Prove yourselves worthy..."

That's when the video ends, and so Knight stood there waiting for his opponents, waiting to fight against all the heroes that would be sent against him. Only the Worthy shall live.

May was watching the two work when her phone erupted. Hastily, she pulled off her right shoe and peeled back the rubber sole to reveal where she kept her burner phone and her real phone. Her screen read, “C O O L dude”. With a sigh, she took her real phone out and slipped the shoe back on.

Answering it, she moved to the back of the room for a little more privacy.

“About time.” A voice sounded.
“Yeah, Yeah. Ya love me.”
“Only because you’re my little sister. Are you okay?”
“A nasty bruise due to complications I will not describe for the sake of my dignity.”
“Did you go to BB hospital for it?”
“No?”
“Yeah, that was a stupid question, because you’re talking to me.”
“You’re rambling!”
“Right. “ He breathed, “You know the villain Knight? He’s at the hospital and if heroes don’t stop him in a hour-“

May felt her stomach drop.

“They’re all gonna die.” She finished. “Love you, bye Ollie.” May hung up. Her body moved before she could think. “Guys! How far away is B.B- I mean Brockton Bay Hospital from here?!”

"Oh yeah that would be gr-" She was about to accept Zoom's offer when she heard May speak up, asking about the hospital. "Not to far, why?" Bailey asked, "Is something going on?" She may not have been the best at reading people, but when emotion is that clearly displayed on someone's face like that. The girl looked worried, or nervous, or something like that, and while Bailey truely didn't care often, she felt like something was wrong. That feeling was still in the put of her stomach, churning and getting worse by the minute. Or, she could just be getting sick. Either way, something wasn't right. Alex sighed and let all of her weight fall on whomever decided to catch her, giving up her attempt to move. She was quite heavy for her size, though it wasn't anything someone like the man couldn't handle. She could barely keep her eyes open as she felt herself taken back to the bed. A loud crackling sound remained in Alex's ears, presumably from her own ability interacting with the lightning from Powerline's.

"I'll get better soon. It'll take a day." Alex blinked hard as she settled down on the bed that she was brought to. "Ack...hold on." She lowered her stockings to show all the burns on her legs, both beneath the and rolled the gloves off, setting them on the side. There were quite a few burns, most of varying depth, all from Powerline's attack. She then pulled the armhole of her suit over her head on the other side, exposing the shoulder where the black lightning hit. There wasn't as much burning on this side, presumably due to Alex's vigilance or maybe the way the black lightning worked.

"It's n-not too bad. I can still fight." Alex grit her teeth and tensed up almost all the muscles in her upper body as a wave of pain shot through her. "N-Nevermind. Something's going on...I'm sure everyone else can handle it." She twitched once, then didn't move as much, staying still for the most part so the Mover from before could see her wounds.

The sound of Insider’s voice made her jump a little in the crowd. She was still surrounded by people, so she just stayed silent and listened. As soon as the communication ended, she took a deep breath. She fucked up big time, but she was not the kind of girl to self-commiserate over such small things. She simply kept walking towards her house. She had left the batteries back at the field of the fight, so she did not have to stop to drop them somewhere safe, as Insider instructed.

As she found herself in front of her front door, she searched for the keys in her backpack but all she could find were pieces of solidified molten metal. “Fucking damn it!” She exclaimed, slamming her fist against the wall. “Ouch…” She whined, waving her hand around to make the pain go away.

Tsk.” She took a clip out of her hair, picking the lock of her own door, finally gaining access to her house. “Home sweet home…” She spoke to herself, closing the door behind her and letting the backpack she had on her shoulder fall on the ground. She took the earbuds out of her ears and placed them on the table, dropping on a soft couch.

Keeping up the psychopath façade really is taking a toll on me. She thought, closing her eyes a little. She rubbed her eyes and opened them. I should really stop acting crazy; it’s just going to make my situation even worse. She took a deep breath and got up, walking to her bedroom.

She looked at a framed picture of a little girl. By appearance, she looked no more than 4 years old. She picked up the picture and smiled weakly, putting it down again and flopping on the bed face down. “Uggghhhh…” She groaned, slowly falling asleep. Meanwhile, in her house, the lights and electrical devices turned on again. The blackout finally ended and all power returned to the blocks that were out of energy.

Meanwhile, in a house near the docks...

"Mommy, where's Sarah?" A little girl asked a more grown-up woman, pulling on her shirt while holding a teddy bear under her other arm. She looked up at her with a childish, concerned expression.

The woman sighed and put down the knife that she was using to cut an onion. She turned around and knelt in front of her, "We talked about this, Lilly…” The woman spoke, looking at her and caressing the girl’s cheek softly.

Sarah’s not with us anymore…she’s gone.” She continued, looking down at the ground. She gritted her teeth and sighed, got up and pat the girl’s hair. “I’m sorry…

The girl looked up again. “You say to always tell the truth…but you’re not telling the truth!” She exclaimed, turning around and running away, probably to her room.

The woman sighed deeply. I can’t tell her the truth…

Mage
who's this nutjob
Mage was, for once, the first to arrive on the scene. He had seen the news broadcast in his apartment and he had to admit he had no idea who this guy was. But, someone was threatening innocents so once again the city needed a hero. If he was lucky there would be more heroes. If not he would probably die.

He jumped down off the roof of a building near the hospital and onto and awning where he then jumped down onto the street. Then he walked the remaiqning way to the hospital. It wasn't far so mage felt like he could take his time. For dramatic effect. Eventually he arrived. There was "Knight" pacing in front of his mind controlled hostages. There was something in the air. Some tense feeling that made Mage almost certain that someome was going to die today. Nevertheless mage called out to Knight.

"Yo! Heard your looking to fight some heroes!"

The soft tap of leather soles against tiles rhymitically followed Elina as she headed toward the War Room. A bright blue brooch adorned her blouse, an ornament that seemed out of place at a glance. If one observes closely, it would be obvious that it wasn't a decoration. Elina had been working on her pulse generator, one of her earliest Tinkertech. It was made with protection of the user in mind, generating a sphere akin to forcefield for a few seconds each time it was activated. Earlier, she had been looking for a way to let it generate a stationary forcefield instead of pulses. She hadn't been successful.

Elina walked into the walk room, feeling a bit out of place in her casual clothing. If not for Urban Jungle Boots and Gloves, she would be indistinguishable with a tourist on a sightseeing tour. She turned to Director Leighton, giving him a slight bow instead of a salute.

"Impulse reporting for duty, Director." She threw a cool gaze at the soldier-like man inside the room. Is it a mission?

BLACKOUT
PHQ War Room

Steve looked over the woman who had just entered. He had read her file - he had read everyone's file - so knew what she was all about. Forcefields, pushing people about and the like. A useful ability, to be sure, but how useful was it for stealth? How much use was she going to be for him? Steve was being commissioned for a stealth mission - that made sense, with his abilities and training - but surely this woman wasn't military? In fact, he knew she wasn't.

As if sensing Steve's doubt, the Director began to speak. "I'll keep this short and sweet - we are already losing time. Powerline has escaped, and we need someone to track them down. That's where you two come in. In the case of resistance, Elina, you are to tactically retreat - this woman is dangerous, and I won't lose you two to her. You are not there to engage, only to locate. Move out - time is short."

With a final salute, Steve turned on his heels and headed towards the exit. He awaited for his new partner, with his stony face not betraying his thoughts on her.

"Mission received, Director." She turned on her heel and leaved the War Room, following the soldier with an impassive face.

...truthfully, she had several questions in mind: Where was Powerline last seen, the rating of her power, or several other clues that could help pinpoint the location of the supervillain. Was she expected to have memorised the file of every registered Parahuman? There was too little clue for her liking. Sighing, she retrieved the key to her car from a pocket and unlocked the door.

Several minutes after, Elina and the soldier were speeding away from PTR Headquarter at an amazing speed. Her power might not be suitable for stealth, but her mobility was top notch. Especially in the red mechanical monster. Nothing could beat the feeling of speeding away over the speed limit. A small grin appeared on her face. She glanced to the soldier man on the shotgun, still as grim as she expected. They drove away in silent for a while.

"We weren't acquitted before," she broke the silence. "I'm Elina. Attractive-Repulsive Force Manipulator. You? "

Darian was sitting on his couch, relaxing after the fight with the PRT when suddenly the news about Knight taking over the hospital and demanding a fight was broadcast. "Well, with the heroes being distracted with that gives me an opportunity..." He jumped up and quickly gathered his cloak and mask and put them on. He reached his hand down towards a power socket. Lightning crackled as he transformed into black lightning and entered the socket. He traveled through the city towards downtown.

A few seconds later he exited inside of a skyscraper. He didn't remember the specifics but someone had put a job out in the Underground Palace to destroy some experimental tech from a tinker working for some R&D tech company and then kill him. He exited inside of the guard room next to two guard who had their backs turned. He placed his hands on the back of their necks and they screamed out in pain as black lightning entered their bodies, killing them. Darian then transformed back into his human form and walked over to a computer and pulled up a map of the building and where the main lab where the tinker he needed to kill was. After confirming the location he turned back into lightning and traveled through the buildings wires the the main lab. Black lightning shot out of the socket, straight towards a rather plump man with a beard and long hair. As Darian got close, he exited his lightning form and placed his hand on the man's neck, and with his free hand pulled out a picture. The picture showed someone that looked exactly like the man in his hand. The man in his hand began to try and plead for his life, but Darian wasn't listening and channeled black lightning into the man, killing him. Dropping the body, Darian turned and fired two bolts of lightning towards fleeing assistants, one immediately dies after getting hit. The other was lucky though, he managed to survive but was knocked unconscious, though Darian didn't pay any attention and turned his attention towards the large, futuristic looking machine in front of him.

SUPERNOVA
Location: His house > Brockton Bay General Hospital

…The latest attack at the Brockton Bay General Hospital has left the local authorities shocked and scared after yesterday’s blackout caused by the villain Powerline, who is apparently in league with the mysterious Insider.” Said a reporter on TV. A man with black, short hair was watching it on his sofa. He was going to switch channels when the TV switched from the studio to a live feed of the hospital. Achilles looked straight at that armored figure with wide eyes.

The reporter, who was wearing a body-vest and a helmet with the acronym “PRT” stamped on it, picked up the microphone and spoke. “I can’t believe my eyes, Roger, if we are correct, that is the infamous super-villain Knight, who we believed dead up until now!” The reporter spoke. The black-haired man who was still watching TV got up and dropped the remote. He could not muster a single word.

I thought I had killed that man, 3 years ago.” He spoke. A teenage girl rose her gaze towards him and looked at him with a confused look on her face. Then, she hears the reporter talking and sees the scene. She jumped up from her chair and rushed over to her father.

She takes his hand, “You have to go, don’t you?” She asked in a clearly worried voice, squeezing his hand tight as if she did not want him to leave. She was pale, shaking and clearly scared.

Achilles nods, “I must.” He says with a serious expression on his face, but then he turns towards her and smiles brightly, “But don’t worry, I got this.” He said.

A bright flash of light blinded the girl for a single moment, revealing that the man who was in front of her had instantaneously put on a costume, and not a random one…

It was Supernova’s costume. His whole body glowed with a soft blue hue as his hair floated upwards. His feet levitated off the ground as he flew upwards, “Take care of your little brother, Andromeda, I’ll be back.” He said with a chuckle, flying out of the house in less than a second.

The girl looked at his father leave in awe. It's always so cool to watch him suit up!

The worried crowd around the hospital had gathered in the span of twenty minutes. They all wanted to see the fight, but many heroes and PRT officers were around to keep up the perimeter. “Stand back if you value your life!” One of the heroes said, slamming his feet in the ground, making a transparent force field raise from the ground, creating an additional barrier in front of the crowd.

A sonic boom shakes the windows of the hospital and all nearby buildings. People look up at the sky to see what caused such a loud noise, but all they can see is a trail left by something that flew quickly over their heads.

Then, something slams into the street in front of the hospital, creating a huge cloud of smoke. A man walks out of it with a very serious expression on his face. “Mage, leave. I got this.” He ordered. As soon as the cloud of smoke flew away, the crowd erupted in a roar of cheer.

The reporter turned around and jumped up in the air for the view he saw. “OH MY GOD! That is Supernova! The hero who supposedly defeated Knight three years ago! Will he be able to accomplish such a feat again?” He spoke towards the camera.

So. It has been a while.” He said, smirking at Knight. He slowly walked past Mage and towards him. “It’s been a pretty long while since you terrorized this city.” He spoke, staring into Knight’s hollow robotic eyes.

He looked around and saw the hostages all around. “Release the hostages, so we will be able to have a fair fight. That is what you are all about, right? Honor, worth, and pride.” He spoke, cracking a prideful smile.

He cracked his knuckles and exhaled deeply, waiting for Knight to make the first move.

Inside a gaudily decorated room, for goodness sake it only has colors the hue of pink and rainbow pony plushies in it, five figures all sat around a white table sipping from tea cups, pinkies up, and eating a variety of sconce, cookies, and muffins. The sight, while quite childish and even somewhat endearing at first glance, starts becoming weirder the longer one observes. For one thing, each individual looked extremely identical to everyone else, as if some kind of mass produced stuffed doll. Another strange thing is that all girls have a rather bizarre appearance with lilac colored skin, unnerving blood red eyes, lips that stretches from ear to ear, and upon close inspection, fingers with no nails. This bizarre imagery is further made stranger by the fact that each of them is wearing a red and black jester outfit, complete bells at the tip of their boots and the horns on the cap. Still strangest of all, yes there's more, is the conversation the women were having.

"And's that is why I was perfectly justified in harvesting that man's organs." Said one of the women, sipping her tea as if she was just talking about this day's groceries rather than harvesting organs. To those who are curious, the tea appears to be pink in color. Why you may ask? Well, these fine women decided to dye it pink, that's why. Not enough color, or so they said. "You literally didn't say anything before that, literally nothing. When did you even find time to do that?" Another woman argued with the first, munching into a cupcake as she spoke, sending crumbs flying. "What barbarous table manner!" One of them said in indignation, turning her nose up as she spoke. "We are not pigs in a pen! Stop smacking and close your mouth when chewing, you're sending crumbs flying everywhere! You are a disgrace!" She continued, speaking in an awful posh British accent. A hand was timidly raised by one of the woman, though this one was slouching and had her head slightly lowered, as if she is afraid to be noticed. "U-Um, please don't fight." She quietly said. "Y-You know she d-doesn't like us fighting. She might d-detonate us if we g-get too annoying." She said as she stuttered, looking nervously at the door as if her worst nightmare might burst out of it. "Pssh, let her then. It's not like we're gonna be gone for good." Another replied to the timid girl, this one had her legs propped up on the table and was leaning back with her arms crossed behind her head, much to the one of the woman's annoyance. "For the love of all that is holy, put your dirty feet off the table! I cannot believe that I am forced to live with such, such barbaric creatures! And you! Stop slouching, keep your back straight!" She said, slamming her teacup on the table as she scolded the two, all the while the remaining two were still discussing about harvesting organs and the best excuses to do so.

"SHUT UP!" One more figure shouted as she kicked the door open, entering the room only to find that five of her, and I literally mean herself, arguing and bickering. "Crackers on a bird, you guys are as noisy out here as you were in here." She said while pointing to her head as she grabbed a seat of her own. She chomped on a cookie before taking a big gulp out of the tea. "Get off your asses, tea party's off for today." As she proclaimed this two exclaimed disapproval while the other three whooped in glee. "Apparently something major is going on at the hospital. No idea what, but people are definitely going to be watching. So, in order to boost our plummeting ratings and salvage our reputat-" "Our ratings are the best! Fuck that focus group, they don't even know how to -"

BOOOOMMM!!!!

Blood, guts, and gore covered the other five as the interrupting clown was blown into smithereens. Surprisingly, none of the five seem to take any action beyond grimacing and wiping the blood off their faces (except for one who tried licking it, fucking degenerate). After that little scene, the speaker suddenly divided into two, now the six that became five was six once more. "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, people are watching that hospital, so if we do something there then people will absolutely notice it. We save the people, we blow shit up, or we strip naked and run around, it doesn't matter so long as we do it there. Got it? Any questions? No? Good, let's go." She said as the six weird individuals all left the previously gaudy and now gory room.

(no interactions yet, just wanted to get a feel for the character.)

“A villain is attacking. That dude from a few years ago, Knight, I think.” May replied. “Heroes have got an hour to show up and challenge or beat him.” She tapped her foot nervously.

“I don’t know if I can do it, but can you point me to the exit?”

Codename: Knight
Location: Brockton Bay Hospital
Action: Conversing with Supernova

Knight stared at the magician, he was the one from the power plant a little while ago. He seemed to want to fight Knight just like he asked. He was about to say something when a familiar person arrived at the scene. It was Supernova, the hero who defeated Knight 3 years ago.

He remembered that day, and the scars he was left with. Today is different, if he wanted to fight he must prove himself worthy again, though he doubted Nova wouldn't be worthy this time. Knight paced back and forth in front of the hostages.

"I will not fight the both of You, only one can challenge more else these people will die. You think I will let these people go? Yes I seek a fight but I'm not foolish to trickery, they go and what is to stop everyone from capturing me? No they will stay here. If you want to free them, then you must beat me in a duel. Are you still worthy after all these years? Prove it."

Knight then summoned his Psi-blades, and they seemed more powerful since the last time they fought. How much more powerful was Knight since the last time they fought? Knight stood there, not making any first move. He was waiting for an opportunity.

BLACKOUT
Street => Near Power Plant

Meanwhile, while the news were flaring up over the hospital hostage situation and some of the other heroes were flocking to it, the barely introduced pair were speeding along down the motorways and street roads to their destination. Where were they headed? The power plant that had recently been the cause of the local blackout. As soon as Steve had stepped into the car, he had put the location in for Elina on the SatNav. "Take us there. That was where she was last seen."

As the pair continued along, Steve seemed fairly satisfied ensuring that both of his guns - his silenced pistol and his sniper rifle - were fully loaded and ready to kill. He even checked that his Eye was working, although it would be impossible to tell that he was doing so. In fact, it was difficult for most people to even know that Steve had mechanical parts. A robotic camera for an eye, a mechanical pump for a heart and robotic fingers to give his already impressive aim that little more edge.

As he was in the middle of ensuring that his EM vision was working perfectly - which it was - he heard his companion speak up. "Yes, I read your file. Steve Daniels. Cybernetically augmented human with Stranger 8 invisibility and memory erasing. I'm the PHQ's stealth operative. They call me Blackout." Whilst speaking, he took a look at the SatNav. "The power plant is just coming up on the next right after this intersection."

"Knight? But... Supernova will stop him." Doctor Menlo reached into his pants and found his PRT work phone in them. It was insulated, only crisped outside. The electronics should be fine. He took it out and called a person marked 'Toxin.'

"Toxin, I need help," he said urgently. "Go to my workshop in the PHQ. There's a cabinet close to the entrance, on the right. You'll find some Tinker medicine in it. Bring me the bottles marked as acetaminophen, diazepam, and neomycin. I'm..." He looked at Raph and paused, thinking for a moment. "Meet me near the power plant in ten minutes. I need to look for something there."

Acetaminophen, also known as paracetamol. Diazepam, a calming benzodiazepine used to, among other things, treat seizures and muscle spasms. And finally, neomycin, a simple antibiotic. Normally, they would do jack-all to help, but Doctor Menlo kept Tinker medicine nearby in case his equipment failed and hurt him, which is partly what happened right now. Alan prayed that it was strong enough to help him get to his feet in time.

He hung up. "I want to go through security cameras. Find out what Powerline wanted. I doubt she was there just to charge herself up. She has sockets at her home, probably." He looked at Zoom. "Mind taking me there? If Toxin brings the medicine, I should get a bit better. They're miracle meds."

Supernova
Location
: Brockton Bay General Hospital

Achilles scoffed. He clenched his fists and floated upwards, flying a few inches off the ground. “You will regret ever coming back.” He announced. He looked around and calculated the odds of his next attack not hurting anybody. There was nobody directly behind Knight, so he decided to attack.

Another deafening sonic boom, this time it completely shatters the windows of the hospital, making the fragments fly outwards. Supernova flies at Mach 5 speed towards Knight, punching him straight in the chest with his full strength, making him fly against the wall. He flew back and zoomed at him again, punching him again, this time through the wall.

The might of all of his attacks was incredibly destructive, and each punch created shockwaves that made the crowd outside shudder and shiver. The weaker ones even tripped over from the sheer force of his attacks.

He flew backward once more and flew at him again, now punching him into the ground. “I WILL NOT LET YOU GO SO EASILY THIS TIME!” He grabbed him by the collar and threw him into a nearby wall as hard as he could manage, flying in the opposite direction, expecting another move. He stared at him with a gaze of pure rage and fury, and his fists were tightly clenched.

Meanwhile, at home

Andromeda was sitting on her sofa, watching the fight live on TV. “Come on dad, you can do it!” She exclaimed, holding the remote tight.

Raph smiled sheepishly as he scanned through Alex's injuries, gently cleaning and tending to her wounds. "Powerline hit you bad, but I'm sure you'll get better. Give it time, Alex." Raphael went on to bandage her wounds in light gauze and bandage, he knew a warrior like her wouldn't enjoy being held down for too long. He sighed, again, he hated seeing people, especially someone who'd come to be an ally of his in pain. The large screen computer blinked alive, painted with the dark image of Knight. Raph cursed as the villain brought up the ultimatum at Brockton bay hospital. "Oh mon dieu... Knight's back." He said. Raphael pulled out a drawer beside Alex, leaving a bottle of Tylenol and a cup of pre-dispensed water. "You should drink up. I'll call down some food and you can have Advil."

Raph turned his attention now to Knight's return, Mateo had already slid over to the moving chair by the large monitor set up in the middle of the whole base. "He's supposed to be dead. How do super villains come back from the dead." Raphael sighed, a hand over his mouth before he crossed his arms over his chest. "You should suit--" Raphael had disappeared from his place in the room, returning a second later in his iconic blue costume. "--up. God I hate when you do that, Raph." Zoom hadn't time for Mateo's jokes, and nodded sternly at Menlo. "I'm on it, as for May and Bailey, I'm gonna speed you over there in a second. Can't say I didn't warn you--" Mid-sentence, Dr. Menlo was in Raph's hands, and in spite of how fast they were moving, Raph made sure to keep him comfortable. In a split second decision, Raphael made his way back to the main Chimirel Industries building after dropping Menlo off, slowing down only for the finger print of the weapons vault located deep in the lower section of his father's building. "I hate you dad." Zoom said out loud, gathering a pair of large mechanical gloves capable of using force of about 2000lbs., as well as a regular laser assault rifle. Raph was against his father, heavily against the man, but in times like this enjoyed being the son of a crooked arms dealer. He made his way back to the powerplant where he'd dropped Menlo off, coating the man's hands in the gloves as well as sliding the gun in a holster he'd found, before quickening his perception for a last message. "These should keep you safe for now."

Raphael was gone once more, he could feel himself slowing down as he ran, his skin turning bright red as he started to choke for air. Still he pushed, though the ends of his hair unprotected began to catch a light flame. He patted it off in quick time, before he'd reached the Chimirel estate. Lullaby and Bailey were the next two he had to transport, and with his fading strength, Raph hauled the two over his back, speeding down to Brockton Bay General Hospital with speed a lot slower than his usual. He guided May and Bailey to the level Supernova and Knight were, before time sped back up and he returned to regular perception. He grunted on the floor, moaning as he dropped to his knees. His cheeks turned a bright red, sweat dripping down his face as he dragged his asphyxiated body to the side where the doctors and nurses stood mind-controlled. Raphael ripped down an oxygen mask from a nearby bed set, slapping it onto his face.

"Your heart rate is off the charts, Raph! Keep that mask on, you'll need it." Raph listened to Mateo through his ear piece but gave no response. He could only sit there and watch as the fight between Supernova and Knight unfolded, bashing through the hospital building. "Alors... merde." Raph cursed, oh shit.

Mage stepped back when Supernova showed up. Clearly these two parahumans had old beef. Mage didn't want to get invloved in that. He climbed and jumped up a building and onto a roof. It would probably be quite the show.

Codename: Knight
Location: Brockton Bay Hospital
Action: Fighting an old Nemesis

Knight watched as Nova flew at him at full strength, he expected as much but instead of doing anything, he let Nova hit him as much as he wanted. Sometime to understand your opponent, sometimes you must let them hurt you and see how far they're willing to go. Nova was still quite as powerful as he was years ago, Knight wasn't surprised by this since he had heard of Nova taking on bigger threats and to do so he had to have trained. Sadly for Nova, Knight had been working twice as hard, maybe not with the same results but he was ever more powerful than 3 years ago.

When Niva stopped punching, Knight decided to show him some of his new powers. He flew backwards through a wall, but just as he went through he used his Psi-Push to propel himself towards Nova at incredible speeds. His fist was raised and when he punched him Nova was sent flying away, because Knight has used Psi-Push again to send Nova flying through the hospital and into the next building with extreme force.

Knight didn't wait for Nova to recover, he kept on to the attack. He used Psi-Pull to grab nova towards him as he leapt towards him with his Psi-Blades and did one of those crossing side slashes before hitting the ground outside the two buildings. The attack wasn't over yet as he charged over with great mobility from his suit towards Nova, Psi-Blades ready to slash again.

"Of all the capes in the city..." The girl mumbled as she got what she was asked to get. "I had to get stuck with the one that I can't stand." She stuck the Acetaminophen into her bag and put it around her arm. She then climbed the pipework in the base till she was up and took her mark.

Once she was out of the base, she was leaping across rooftops to get to her destination. Her acrobatics coming into play along with her pulses, she managed to get to the destination with 3 minutes to spare. Her light green eyes sticking out like a sore thumb as she looked around her surroundings.

"If this doesn't get here in 15 minutes... I'm leaving..." she said with a sigh as she leaned against seemingly nothing, her force pulse working to keep her up.

Cryosis
(Outside Powerline’s house)

And so the tale began.

Kypher was not in a great mood. Already rumours of the powerplant incident we’re all over the internet, but when he had visited the scene of the crime there had only been the PRT cleanup crew. It was disappointing. So he had made his way further into the docks. The shady murky atmosphere was what he was used to, a place where survival depended very largely on the right choices. Memories of darker days replayed themselves before him haphazardly in his mind’s eye, reminding him of the choices he had made. One was to attain great power no matter the cost. No matter who he had to step on to reach that point.

Which was why he had been searching for the super villain named ‘Powerline’. She apparently had a connection to the mysteriously infamous ‘Insider’ who supposedly had the power to learn secrets. Kypher would have to take it one step at a time, but he was certain this path would yield him the results he needed. Kypher had spent the past decade fighting on the street, learning survival. Cryosis had killed several heroes and villains already. He was known in society; a card of calligraphy with his name and a few frozen bodies being all that he left behind. Kypher wasn’t sure what’s he was considered as in the parahuman society, he certainly wasn’t a hero, but he didn’t simply randomly attack innocents like a villain. Not that it particularly bothered him, so long as there was enough intrigue for people to take him seriously then he didn’t care. Means to an ends, after all.

Speaking of means, something caught Kypher’s watchful eye as he made his way down the street. A woman was struggling to unlock her door and soon resorted to trying to pick it. However, the strange part that caused Kypher to squint so as to see better was the deformed metal slag she held in her hand. It looked like it had been melted, fused forcefully together. His light scowl never changing, Kypher approached the closed door unhesitantly, removed a glove quite deliberately and grabbed the handle. Immediately, frost began to infect the metal, spreading through the material and into the lock. Now having gained influence of the mechanism, Kypher simply willed it to unlock as he pulled the handle. The door swung open without resistance.

Without making much effort to remain silent, Kypher entered and shut the door behind himself before entering a room. Surveying the space to be some kind of living room, Kypher then glanced his ‘somewhat-annoyed’ face in the woman he’d identified earlier’s direction. She smelled of ozone and burnt clothes. His frown deepened, “Do you have anything to do with what happened at the powerplant. I’m looking for someone who was there.” It was more of a statement than a question. His voice lacked variance in tone or pitch and truly seemed monotonously emotionless, as if the cold aura he was currently projecting had sapped all the happiness from him. Soon after entering the room’s temperature had already dropped by several degrees, and the woman would soon notice that her breath came out in frosty puffs. It was not something Kypher could control but it was also not something he’s particularly cared about. It wouldn’t get worse than an uncomfortable chill thanks to his Thermo-Coil Attire, courtesy of the mysterious Tinker he’d acquired it from.

Doctor Menlo
Powerplant

Menlo nodded and made a mental note to thank Zoom in some way later. He was a literal life-saver.

He looked around. The powerplant was mostly desolate after the operation that took place, with only the scant policeman walking around the terrain and investigating, trying to find any missing victims or clues regarding Powerline's attack. Menlo spotted Toxin near the entrance and came up to her gradually; he was hobbling, then stopping, then hobbling again.

Another odd thing was that he didn't seem to have his usual equipment. Instead, his hands sported a pair of mechanical gloves, and on his side was strapped what looked like a sci-fi gun.

Alan looked like he got glued to a bonfire, his suit covered in scorch marks and discolorations. Dr. Menlo wasn't in a good condition and it was clear to see from far away, slowly limping in her direction. Even through his mask, his face bore a pained expression, with sunken, unresponsive eyes. When he was near Toxin, he stopped to look at her and his expression softened slightly. Deep down, however, he felt his stomach sink.

He greeted the girl without fanfare. "Toxin." There was quiet, meek, and pained gravity in his voice, and that would be enough to give pretty much anyone pause. Dr. Menlo? Not in a good humor? Not cracking quippy one-liners? Something solemn happened. "Do you--guh--" he stopped, pressing a hand on the lower part of his forearm and then letting go with a hiss as if recoiling from the pain it brought him.

A long second passed. Looking at her, he repeated his question, fully this time. "Do you have the things I asked you for?" He got in a fight and it did not look good.

"I see," Elina nodded.

The objective of the mission had became clearer for her. Their only mission was not only to locate Powerline, but also to did so discreetly without garnering too much attention. Her partner was a proof of it. Someone experienced in stealth wouldn't be send otherwise.

"We might need higher mobility. My Urban Jungle Boots and Gloves are on the backseat. They can help you scale buildings if you need them."

She cut through several yellow lights as her car ran through downtown. Several near miss with other vehicles caused a storm of honking and angry shouts from agitated driver. Elina just smiled. If she drive slowly, Powerline could have gone into hiding before they arrived. Maybe she should turn her focus into mode of transportation. Flying cars wouldn't need to adhere to traffic lights...

The car stopped with a screech in front of the power plant. Elina raised the darkened windows on her side of the car. She turned to Steve.

"Can you get out? I need to change."
