Arwynn's eyes widened as she heard the rattling of the dragons wings, much like a snake about to strike. If there was one thing she learned from her father, it was that when a dragon opens its mouth, MOVE!
Quickly yelling out a warning to Shahe, the huntress leapt to the side and landed in the dirt on her stomach. She could feel the scorching heat on her back and legs as the beam torched the area she had just been. Forcing her hurting body, she scrambled back to her feet and took off in the fastest sprint she could manage to the left of the dragon. As she glanced over her shoulder she was pleased to see Shahe splitting off into the opposite direction, crashing into the cover of the undergrowth for camouflage.


(Aww yeah fight time >:3 !!! So we wanna stall until dragon senpai shows up?)

As she miss her blast she would amidiatly bite her Own tail,soon pulling,the sound of Screeshing metal can be heard as her tail started to glow as she seem to be "Heating" it with her own mouth,soon only to Let go making her spin once,her Masive blades tail Swoosh,Leaving a trail Of Golden dust as it travel,slicing anything in its path,even Cut down 2 or 3 Trees,making them fall with a perfect slice in them,The range was Long and would need to Lower themselfs if they dont whant to be slice in two "TRUE DRAGONS SHOW THERE FULL POWER!"

Kai shook his head as he saw the scene between the royals, kids this day... He looked at Nayome and grabbed her arm, dragging her away and hid between the debris, making sure they were hidden. Kai put his finger to his mouth, told Nayome to stay quiet, he then whispered, "I can sense someone is coming and he is the last person you wanna see right now, just hide here and stay low until everything cool down a bit. The prince won't go anywhere since he fell into the Dragonsbane's trap, we will handle the princess later."

Nayome nodded and stayed still, not wanting to meet the dragon king any time soon, though she would prefer to never meet him. He'd scared her before when she'd been in the castle in the dragon kingdom before. @Azula Cross


Storm snarled but due to the cage's tightness was unable to move. He knew he'd have more room if he went back to human but he didn't want to risk the hunters finding him in his human form and leading them back to Mena. Even though she had obviously rejected him, in his mind, thanks to that insufferable human Jewel getting in the way. His snarl changed to growling as he activated his night vision to figure out where he was, only remembering that he had fallen for a long time before landing in this cage. @Juju

 

[Mena]

As Jewel stopped out of breath, I moved my head around, looking for the dragon that caused even Jewel to start running. 'Huh...and here i would have thought she would have at least dropped me down and turned to face the 'terrifying' dragon.' I thought, turning my attention back to her. I still wanted to go back and apologize to Storm or try to make it up to him in some shape or form, but I cant, not with another dragon roaming around the ruins. I jumped out of Jewel's arms and landed on the ground, muddying my hood. I didn't really care, it was just a piece of fabric anyway that I could remake again if I wanted to.

 

[Defective Kitten]

"We need to head home quickly, come on." Jewel spoke bluntly to Mena, not showing any emotion of anger or happiness anymore. Knight who was still in the spot she had left him before was sitting on the ground resting until he spotted Jewel in which he got up and shook her head to wake himself up. Jewel was more or less rushing to get to Knight and once they were next to him, she quickly helped Mena up on him and got on herself. "Hold onto Sasha tightly, I don't trust her being in the pouch." Recalled the incident before when Sasha squirmed out of the satchel to chase a squirrel or some sort.

Blake ducked his sitting body even lower to avoid the sword tail "I have to get to my supplies!" He whispered to himself as he got down on his belly and crawled using the thick bushes and trees as cover for hiding his body. He kept crawling still feeling the agonizing pain in his right leg but he was using almost all of his willpower from not screaming in agony. He soon reached a few bits of his medical supplies and began the process of numbing the pain so that he could properly treat it. It took a bit but it definitely helped as he crawled his way towards where the supplies that he needed.

I held onto Sasha just as Jewel told me to do although she did try to wiggle out of arms once and a while. I felt bad about what I did to Storm but now I have bigger things to worry about and that includes how Jewel is going to calm down after this. I scanned the skies still looking for the dragon that caused that giant roar, just in case it does try to attack.

Ashen was at the point where he needed to ask questions, so with a snort he flipped in the air and darted back the way he had came. It wasn't long before his eyes fell onto the two girls outside the maze. Darting to the ground he then extended his wings to land with a thud, his large head snaked down to their level "Im not here to harm you .. I'm looking for my son.. Have you seen him?" Ashen wasn't thrilled about having to approach the humans but he needed to find storm..

 

[Defective Kitten]

Jewel stopped Knight as soon as the dragon descended from the skies, asking about the whereabouts of, who she guessed was, Storm. Jewel remained calm, as calm as she could get with anger in the back of her mind anyways. "Yes, he went deeper into the maze but that was the last we saw him." Speaking up at the dragon, she was telling the truth so there was no reason to be nervous or scared.

Rain stands on the edge between the humans and dragons waiting for her husband and son to come back safe and sound not knowing what is happening at all in the humans territory. Rain without thinking stepped over and flew over looking down keeping a look out for them both.

 

[Mena]

I looked the new dragon to Jewel, giving her a questionable look. "Um...may I ask why you are looking for Storm?" I asked, looking at the dragon with a serious face. 'This guy could be trouble.' I thought, secretly eyeing the dragon supsicously.

Arwynn had little time to react to the tail swipe, but managed to drop to the ground just in time to feel the blades slice through the air above her head. All around, trees began to fall down in a circle around the dragon whom had sliced through their trunks with ease. One tree in particular began creaking ominously above Arwynn, giving her just enough time to drag most of her body out of the way of the wooden pillar. Arwynn yelled in pain as the fallen tree pinned down her leg between a dip and the ground and the trunk; it was not the biggest of trees, but it still took a lot of effort to lift the tree even slightly. As the huntress struggled to escape the tree's grip, she scanned the area for Shahe and Blake, and hoped that they had managed to escape the deadly tail sweep.

The room that the cage was placed in is dark and musty with the occasional sound of dripping water echoing through distant tunnels. Heavy with moisture, the stale air is cool to the skin and all around, the darkness seems to press upon the caged prince, thick and choking even with night vision.


Suddenly, a pale green light appears in the darkness some distance away from the prince, glimmering ominously as it floats delicately in place. If he listens closely, faint whispers can be heard, some closer than others, accompanied by shadowy human-like figures that seem to flicker and disappear when looked at directly.

Hooves tear at the sodden trail as the guard spurs his steed in an unrelenting sprint. The beast's chestnut hide glistens with sweat in the moonlit night as it chomps down on the bit, mouth frothing with fatigue. The guard's name is Jonas, or just Jo (as his friends in the barracks like to call him) and he has been pushing the poor creature hard since he had left the castle, which he had been split off from the rest of his squat to investigate one of the distant towns known as Daggerpeak village. Why would the princess want to go to anywhere near such a scrawny and uninteresting town was lost to him, although he had heard of some ruins or whatnot, but hey, didnt every village have some magical well or flying pig to draw in travelers.


"stupid royalty, always wanderin' off and makin' us tax payers get up in the middle of the bloody night to go find some pampered pup, humph!" he grumbled as he rode into the middle of the village causing a small and worried crowd to form about the horseman. Jo yawned and waved off the people, "What're you all gawkin' at!? you seen a ghost or what!? Im here to look for the princess by the order of his majesty and I'd be needing info."

Storm's eyes, the only thing that the prince could move, watched the pale green light as it appeared. Even with his night vision activated, it was difficult to see in the pressing darkness of the room he was in and it made him uncomfortable that he was about as blind as a human He watched the light as it just floated there and let out a warning growl to stay away from him. Since when did glowing lights just appear out of nowhere? He didn't remember the Dragon Sages talking of such things, nor of other dragons who had lived in what was now the Yin Republic, before the wars had started and their territory had shrunk over time to what it was now. "What...what the heck is that?" he questioned himself. @Juju

The glowing light seems to fade again, letting the dark settle back in; the whispers seem to almost move around in the dark, get louder and closer, then stop. For a few tense moment, the eerie silence returns, only to be broken by a very soft voice.


"Hello, hello? mister have you seen my mommy?" standing behind the prince was the translucent form of a small girl, her wet hair tangled with what appears to be seaweed or moss. Clutched in her thin hand is a single golden coin which she holds closely against her chest, glowing sickly green like the small figure. The air around the girl seems to drop notability in temperature as she stands close to the prince.

What is this? Storm shakes his head negatively. "I don't even know where I am, much less who your mother is. Maybe you could describe her?" @Juju

 

[Juju]

"She had long brown hair... and blue eyes... and and..." the little girl starts sniffling as she remembers a sword, a scream and a flash of red. "oh, I don't know if I will ever see her again... im so cold... its so dark... how will she find me?!" she starts to cry and wail, hugging her small form.


Small skittering can be heard deeper in on of the vast tunnels as the noise disturbs the silence.

Storm's eyes flicked from the girl to the sound he could hear in the distance. "No I haven't seen her," Storm said. "Umm...how long have you been here?" And what kind of a damn place is this? "Maybe you could use that pale green light that was here before you were to help your mother find you." @Juju

the girl wiped the ghostly tears from her eyes and looked up at Storm with glazed eyes, "I don't know how long... mommy told me to wait... then there was a man... and a lot of water... then cold" she shivered as she hugged herself. at the mention of the glowing light she stomps her foot and covers her ears while raising her voice, "No, NO! I don't like it! warm but there are whispers... bad... follows..." she crouches on the ground whimpering.


in the tunnel, the skittering begins again and seems to get closer to where the sound is coming from. Not something... but some things are moving in the shadows.

Storm's eyes flicked back to the girl as she spoke. "Bad things follow the green light?" he questioned. He ran a tongue over his teeth as he heard the sounds of some things coming closer. "Maybe...maybe you should come over here," he encouraged. @Juju

"very bad things... some just stand and stare. they look so friendly, just smiling at you- but when you go close to them they scratch at your face and neck." she clutches the golden coin and raises a shaking hand to an area next to the cage "Like that one over there. I don't like him... them.. and then there are the ones you cant see... they are always there, waiting for me to float. then they whisper things to me... go to the depths.. the lake... tell me bad things in the dark. Oh but its so cold like this -not floating... i'm so lonely."


The little girl raises her head with hope as Storm offers her to come closer. "Really? you wouldn't mind?" the form walks through the bars of the cage, reaching her hand through the dragon's arm. "Oh, you are so warm and BIG! whoa are you a dragon?! mommy said that there was going to be dragons visiting... It must be nice to be so alive.. oh a heartbeat! it thumps so loudly!" the girl then moves through Storms chest area and appears on the other side, causing an uncanny chill as she passes through. The girl smiles and giggles at the dragon but stops suddenly and turns around and looks off into the tunnels.


"NO NO! Go away!" she waves with her hand as pairs of pale eyes appear around the cage, followed by clicks and screeching. "Mister, they are coming! oh, they are going to eat you!no no no..."


she starts sniffling again as cat sized creatures begin crawling towards the caged prince. Each of the creatures' moldy face looks much like a bat, with big pale eyes like a fish and with rows of sharp teeth lining their large mouths. Claws click against the stone floor as the creatures circle around the cage, ears perked as they size up the large prey cautiously. Finally, one of the creatures breaks from the shadows and squeezes its weasel-like body through the bars of the cage and leaps on the dragon, followed by more coming from the shadows.

Storm blinked an eye at the girl. "I am a dragon," he said, watching the girl come towards him. As she gets closer, he finally figures out the girl has no scent though it's her words 'alive' and 'warm' and 'heartbeat' that realize this child isn't alive any longer. Storm shivers as the girl passes through him. "Now I know what it feels like to be dumped in an icy lake," he says. Storm's right eye watches the girl as she appears on the other side but at her shouting flicks his attention back to the tunnels. Storm snarls at the creatures to stay back, his mind turning over all the dead child has said. It doesn't seem to phase the creatures though as he sees some of them vanishing into his blind spots but from what he can see, they seem to be circling him like a predator would prey. How ironic that this is how I'm going to die, he thinks. All over a human who rejected me. One eye flicks to one of the creatures as it squeezes through the cage bars and leaps at him, making the prince hiss as it sinks its claws and teeth into his side. Refusing to give them an even weaker target if he shifts back into his human form, he makes the decision to stay in his true form even if it might get him killed faster. He opens his mouth and black flames are sent at some of the cat creatures in front of him while he struggles to get the one off his side but unfortunately more are beginning to come in. Maybe because they're smaller, its easier for them to move around in the cage. @Juju

Star would look seeing the trees fall down and the creeking sound as they do,she just dint pay atention befor e extending her Masive wings and Giving a Powerfull Flap making he standing trees shiver,she was above them seem To be Hovering over them befor she says in a angelic tone "stupide Humans! You thought you had a chance?...No!"he said angry tone befor Opening her Mouth and fire a stream of fire downwards starting to burn the forrest,she Grin as she would say "This be Your Lesson Human! Do not mess with my children!"she said only to Give a Nother powerfull Flap and Lunch herself Upwards towards the sky high up,soon to look Bright up in the sky like a star as her wings reflect the moon light,she Hoverd Over the Burning forrest and Observe....and see if the Human would survive...Or die..

Akata would stop as she saw the bright light above,she soon infront of her saw the forrest Burning...seems was Very mad,she better reurne towards HQ and speak to Jab and tell him what happend,soon akata started to make her way back towards the abandone castle

Shahe bursts out of the undergrowth from the side just as Star spread her shimmering wings. The fae dragon takes off, resulting in a powerful gust of air to stir up dust and leaves around the charging mountainsaber. Closing the gap between the dragon and himself, Shahe leaps with claws outstretched, only to land in the spot the dragon once was. Growling up at the dragon, the cat's fur billows in the winds from Star's wings as he looks around. He can smell his master's scent, but he does not see her. As bursts of flame began falling from the sky, he yowls in fear as the fires hungrily begin to consume the forest.


Arwynn coughs as smoke begins to fill the air, making her eyes smart. Still pinned down, she continues to attempt to remove the tree from her leg. As heat begins to creep closer to the huntress, she gathers up all of her strength and begins to pull her leg from under the tree. Her face contorts in agony as pain shoots up her leg, threatening to break. Finally her leg slips from under the weight of the tree and Arwynn begins to crawl away from the fallen log. Using the stump for support, she slowly stands up and looks through the flames and catches a glimpse of Blake, huddled by a tree. She begins to limp towards him, calling out to get his attention, when a charred tree falls down in front of the huntress and causes a splash of flame and sparks to burst from beneath it. Shielding her face with her arms, she stumbles back and loses balance as her damaged leg falters beneath her.


Arwynn cries out in pain as she falls on a leaf-stripped log, its blackened branches snapped and jagged like spikes as the huntress's side is stabbed by one in particular, snapping off as she fliches.

The air is filled with the scent of burning fur and flesh as the light from the flames reflects off of the stone walls. Shrieks sound from the creatures as many are burnt to a crisp, and the others scatter away from the flames.


"They don't like the light! Keep going mister!" The ghost girl cheers helplessly at Storm.


Clawing it's way, the creature that had attacked first climbs up to Storms head and chomps down on his ear (not sure if he has ears or not, if not then it claws at his face)


"Look out! They are coming from behind!" The girl yells as a group of five or six leap onto the dragon's back, their fish - like eyes reflecting savage delight and hunger.

Storm roared in pain as the creature bit his ear and tried to shake the creature off him but it was no easy feat since he refused to make himself more vulnerable in human form. He slammed his head against the bars in front of him in an attempt to dislodge the creature, snarling as six more leaped onto his back. In desperation, Storm bent his front legs and turned his head before shooting fire at the creatures on his back, the fire sizzling the creature holding onto his ear. Blood begins to flow from his wounded ear as he tucks his tail close to him. @Juju

Blake had just finished putting his leg in a more stable state even though he could barely walk with it it still hurt like absolute hell. He gathered all his supplies and put them in an emergency bag he had kept in case his first bag got ripped open and that's when the fire happened. He turned his head towards Arwynn and tried to limp run towards her coughing as black smoke filled the air. He managed to get over to her without dying and notices the branch in her side he grabbed her and pulled her up "Let's get out of this forest fire! I'll deal with all your wounds later!" He started to limp-hop out of the forest or at least try. Today was the worst day h was ever going to have.
