Question! I was wondering, when should something be put in creative vs tutorial? Because I saw some HTML request things and it was put into tutorial and for future reference, I was wondering if that was correct. Because I've also seen such things go into creative. I thought tutorial was for when you explain something step by step and not just provide code.

Creative is a place to share your creations. So, if you are making something like BBCode formats and want to share them, they would go into Creativity.

Tutorials are meant to be written with a focus on how something is done. Using BBCode as an example, a person could write a tutorial breaking down how accordions works and how to edit them and so on. Tutorials are to teach knowledge.

Alright. There was a BB code request thing in tutorials where people could ask a user to make BB code templates for them. I asked about it but the creator told me that it was meant to stay in tutorials. Not trying to get anybody in trouble...I just wanted to know. So something like that would go into creative? Because that's where I see all the others like that.

Yes, like Fyuri said, if it's just a place to make codes for others to use, that would go into Creativity. We may add a better place for BBCode sharing in the near future though.

Just to update: we now have that better place! All BBcode-related posts should now go in the BBCode Center.
