Al walked out of the house to get the mail. Complaining, the old man grumbled. To the end of the drive way was a ten minute walk. I'm getting to old for this. He thought, but soon reached the mailbox. Pulling out a couple of letters and the news paper, he walked back to the house, checking the letters.

"Bills. Bills. Bills-" Al stopped in his tracks when there was a normal letter for once. Opening it, his dark brown eyes quickly scanned over it. "Ah yes!" He suddenly beamed and smiled. "I nearly forgot those boys." He opened the door to the house and his second oldest daughter, Cassie, almost bumped into him. "Wow, honey, where's the fire?"

Cassie turned around. "Oh, sorry dad. I didn't see you." She smiled, fixing her red blouse and favorite hat. "There's no fire, I just wanted to go ride Alpha, you know, maybe spot some wild horses this early in the morning."

"Alright, but don't stray too far, we have those city boys moving in with us for a while today, remember?" Al watched how his daughter's face twisted a bit in distaste. The man sighed and shot his daughter a look. "You are not going to shoot them…"

"Depends on how much of assholes they are." Cassie grumbled and crossed her arms over her chest, but when Al shot her a look, she just pouted innocently. "Fine, I won't shoot them." She said before running towards her horse, Alpha Black.

Al shook his head and headed into the house and to the kitchen where a cup of hot coffee was waiting for him. He happily took a seat and buried his nose in the newspaper.

While Cassie was running towards Alpha Black Jenna riding on her purebred arabian Osiris ran in front of Cassia then halted a few feet away "heey Cassie can your petty Thoroughbred beat ma awesome purebred arabian in a race?" she said looking at her older sister with a smirk.

Cassie shot Jenna a look. "You do know that Thoroughbred is used as a race horse, right?" She asked. "My horse will kick your horse anytime at any moment." She said with a challenging tone. She would have raced with her sister if it wasn't for what her father had said. "We can't race though, dad says we need to stay around the farm. We have those city boys coming in soon… Yeeha." Cassie snorted sarcastically, placing her hand on her hip, clearly showing her annoyance. "Where are the others? I haven't seen them yet."

"Arabians are race horses too they last a lot longer than Thoroughbred's too when it comes to long distance racing " she groaned in annoyance "well i don't mind cityfolk comin round here as long they don't or agitate any of the animals especially the horses and especially when Osiris is with her foal Janus cuz Osiris will definitely bite and or kick them if she see's them as a threat".

Esther was riding on her horse around the tracks, looking at the tree-filled landscape. She hopped off her horse and sat down in a patch of grass to eat an apple. "I should probably go back to the house... Someone might be worried." Esther said as she jumped onto her horse and rode all the way back to the house.

Cassie sighed, really not wanting to talk about the city and walked into the stalls. "Let's go for a ride." She called to her sister as she greeted her horse. She quickly brushed Alpha Black and saddled him, before leading him out of the barn. She smiled at the oldest twins a gave her a challenging smirk. "Quick round around the corn field, loser pays the first drink when we go out for Jacob's next time… Deal?" Cassie lifted herself on her horse and got comfortable. "I'll bet two drinks that Alpha is going to be quicker." She said as the horse started walking, passing the younger sister.

Brennon was making his way towards where he would be staying for a while at a farm. He sighed as the sat nav just seemed to be taking him around in a circle or with the scenery outside it looked like it at least. He was driving his old ford boss 305 which was orange with a black racing stripe. When the Farm came into sight he heard a bang and his car engine gave out so he got out of his car and walked over to the bonnet and opened it a large amount of smoke came out so he just leaned against one of the car doors waiting for the smoke to finish.

Esther was riding on her horse and saw a car being flooded with smoke. "Are you okay?" She questioned while getting off her horse and tying its lead to a nearby tree. "What happened? Are you one of the people that's gonna stay with our family or something?" Esther smiled while asking him a few questions.

Brennon scratched his head. "I'm fine thank you for asking, my car engine just gave out happens quite often." Brennon said smiling as he turned to face the girl. "Depends if your family name is Pale or not i'm not sure where I am at the moment." Brennon said as he walked towards his engine which has now mostly stopped smoking. "Lets see here." He muttered looking a the engine.

Abby was always up before everyone. She would get up at 4 and start her chores at 4:30. By the time the other girls were up she was all saddled up and out doing tricks in the arena with Thair. Abby had breakfast when she was done exercising the horse's

When Al heard the door, he looked up from his newspaper and was his oldest daughter walk into the pitch. "Morning sweetie, you're up early." He said with a smile. "You're not too excited about those city boys coming, are you?" He teased before taking another sip from his coffee, which was slowly starting to get cold.

Al put the paper down and looked at his watch. "Say Abigail, do you remember what time those city people were about to arrive?"

Abby smiles at her father as she grabs some coffee. "Oh lord no, I can't stop them from coming, but you know my feelings on the city folk pa" Abby was heading outside when he asked her if she remembers the arrival time. She thought for a minute. "I think it was 8 or 9, but who knows city folk are on there own time schedule. Pa did more bills come today?" Abigail noticed the stack of mail.

Al got up from his chair with a groan, call it getting old, to get some new coffee. "Nothing more then the usual." He huffed as an answer. He didn't want to worry his girls with the bills and money too much. They would be fine like always. They would get the farm eventually so they should enjoy life and the fresh outdoors, before they start worrying about finances. "Nothing to worry about. I think Cassie will shoot the insurance people if they even step a foot on this land. Don't worry about it." He said again before returning to the newspaper.

Abigail new something was up. She just have to read the mail when her father was sleeping. Like she always did. She knew of the money problems and was trying to find a way to fix it.Abby sighed and walked over to kiss her father on the cheek. "Well off to muck the stalls and run the horse's. "Abby says

"Yep. I guess you'll be staying with us then...." She said as she looked back at the house. "Well, I'm going over there. Come to me if you need anything, okay?" Esther smiled as she hopped on to her horse again and rode back to the house with a smile on her face.

Brennon just smiled as she road away. "Now what to do about this." Brennon sighed as he put the car in gear and moved it near to one of the fences by pushing on the back of the car. "It should be okay there." He muttered before walking towards the farm house.

Alexander stops his Volkswagen once he reaches the mailbox of the Pales, looking over everything slightly before running a hand through his hair and sighing slightly. He took out a picture of him and his little sister when she was in the hospital, kissing it lightly he got out of his car and walked his way up the porch to the front door to knock.

Abby was on her way out when Alexander had knocked on the door. She opened it not seeing him at first. Abby stopped "oh Hi you must be one of the city boys. Come on in."Abby says with a smile.

Irish Ice Queen

Alexander nodded slightly. "I am, and thank you." he said as he stepped inside slightly his bag slung over his shoulder slightly as he looked around. "Your dad has a nice place..." he said softly.

Abby nods."yeah we love it here, come on I'll take you to your room then show you around. We kinda have a big plot of land so we will have to take the horse's. "Abby says

" so living room, kitchen it through that door. And up the steps are all the rooms. Your room is actually in our guest house with all the other guy's we thought it be a bit more private for you guys."Abby says."pa dont get up but one of the boys is here Aiden am going to show him about. "Abby says and walks for the back door. She leads Alexander out to the guest house."choose a room and I will wait also sorry forgot I am Abigail oldest pale daughter. The twins and my other sister around here some where you will meet them eventually. "Abby says

Alexander nodded as he listened to her explain where everything was and looked around. "Alright. Thanks for being kind enough to show me around, Abby. I'm Alexander Ross, Just Alex or Xander is fine. Alexander sounds too formal." he said while offering his hand for her to shake.

Once they shook hands, he went about looking at the other rooms and deciding on the one with a nice window view since it would be good to draw during different times of daylight, mostly because it gave him different perspectives. After getting his stuff all settled he made his way back outside where Abby was. "Sorry I took so long, we can go now." he said while running a hand through his hair.
